This study aimed to test the hypothesis that sulpiride can increase the concentration of circulating gonadotropin that can promote puberty in pre-pubertal ewe lambs. Here, 12 1-3-year-old Merino rams and 60 7-9-month-old Merino sheep were included in the study. The sheep were randomly divided into sulpiride (n = 30) and control (n = 30) groups. The sulpiride group was subcutaneously injected with 0.6 mg/kg sulpiride twice daily (morning and evening) for 9 days. During these 9 days, blood samples were taken from the sheep before drug administration and at 4 h after every drug administration. The number of ovulating animals in the sulpiride group was significantly higher than that in the control group (90% vs. 32%). No oestrous signs were observed in either group during ram release. Further, there were no differences in the levels of mean follicle-stimulating hormone in the two groups based on treatment (p = .2), time (p = .3) or treatment-by-time interaction (p = .3). After sulpiride administration, the luteinizing hormone (LH) levels of the sulpiride group rapidly increased and remained stable for a long time, whereas physiological LH fluctuations in the control group remained unchanged. Within-group changes in terms of LH concentrations were significant for both groups (p .001), whereas LH pulse frequency was significantly different between the sulpiride group (p = .03). Therefore, it is concluded that sulpiride can be used as a non-steroidal alternative to stimulate pre-pubertal ewe lambs and sheep during anoestrus.

In the context of the internationalization of the labor market, the countries around the world have begun to focus on developing and implementing education policies that ensure the quality, coherence and equity of tertiary education. The main objective of this study is to identify and analyze the place of Romania between 35 European countries and Turkey, in terms of tertiary education. Cluster analysis has been used to achieve this goal, and the results indicate similarities and disparities between the countries analyzed. This article can be a reflection for decision-makers in the development of a skilled workforce..

İslam Dininin kutsal kitabı olan Kur’ân-ı Kerim’in Arapça olması Arap diline ayrı bir önem kazandırmıştır. Bu nedenle erken dönemde Kur’ân-ı Kerim’i anlamaya yönelik dil çalışmaları başlamış, İslam Dininin geniş bir coğrafyaya yayılıp Arap olmayanların da İslam’a girmesi ile bu çalışmalar daha da önem kazanmıştır. Arap olmayanların Müslüman olmalarıyla Kur’ân-ı Kerimin okunmasında görülen yanlışlıklar ile Araplar arasında “lahn” adı verilen konuşma hatalarının yayılması gibi nedenler Arap dili grameriyle ilgili çalışmaların başlatılmasını kaçınılmaz kılmıştır. Hicri birinci asırda başlayan bu çalışmalarda öne çıkan isimlerin başında Hz. Ali (ö. 40/661) ve Ebu’l-Esved ed-Dü’elî (ö. 69/688) gelmektedir. Bu çalışmalardan sonra nahvin yöntem kazanması konusunda öne çıkan ilk isim ise İbn Ebî İshak el-Hadramî (ö. 117/735) olmuştur. Bu araştırmada öncelikle İbn Ebî İshâk’a dair bilgi verilmiş ve nahiv ilminde yer alan kıyas ve illet konularındaki görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca nahiv kitaplarında ilk olarak kendisine nispet edilen bazı gramer konuları incelenerek günümüzde kullanılan terimler ile aktarılmıştır. Çalışmada tabakât ve nahiv usulü eserlerinin yanı sıra ilgili güncel çalışmalardan da istifade edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmada, para politikası tasarımlarının fiyat istikrarı ile finansal istikrar arasındaki ilişkileri açıklamakta 1990’lardan buyana Geleneksel Bilgelik ve Yeni Ortam Hipotezleriyle gösterdiği gelişim gözetilerek Euro alanındaki ülkelerin para politikası tasarımlarında fiyat istikrarı ile finansal istikrar arasındaki ilişkilerin ampirik olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaçla çalışmada, para politikalarının fiyat istikrarı temel amacı doğrultusunda tasarlandığı Euro alanındaki ülkelerde, fiyat istikrarı ile finansal istikrar arasındaki zamanla değişen ilişkiler 1999:01-2020:12 dönemi için TVP-VAR modeliyle ekonometrik olarak incelenmektedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, Euro alanındaki ülkelerde inceleme döneminde fiyat istikrarı ile finansal istikrar arasındaki ilişkilerin zamanla değiştiği ve Yeni Ortam Hipotezi kapsamında karşılıklı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar, Euro alanındaki ülkelerde para politikalarının Yeni Ortam Hipotezinin ve parasal ile finansal değişkenler arasındaki ilişkilerin zamanla değişen yapısının gözetilerek yeniden tasarlanmasının gerekliliğine işaret etmektedir.

In this study, AISI 316L stainless steel alloy samples were borided with powder-pack boriding method using Ekabor II powder with the support of a microwave furnace with a power of 2.9 KW and a frequency of 2.45 GHz. Boriding was carried out at 850, 900 and 950 °C temperatures for 2, 4 and 6 h of operation. A distinct diffusion barrier consisting of Fe–Ni–Si elements was detected in borided samples at 950 °C for 4 and 6 h. As a result of the Daimler Benz Rockwell-C adhesion tests, regions with insufficient adhesion strength were detected in these samples. In other samples, adhesion qualities between boride layers and substrate were in the range of HF1–HF3. The lowest specific wear rates were determined as 5.208 (mm3 Nm−1) × 10−6 and 5.210 (mm3 Nm−1) × 10−6 for the samples borided for 6 h at 850 °C and 4 h at 900 °C, respectively. It was determined that the increase in thickness of the brittle FeB compound increased the wear with the three-body abrasive wear mechanism.

Drone ile teslimat insanların pandemi sonrasında da temassız işlemleri tercih edeceği düşüncesine bağlı olarak şirketler açısından önemli fırsatlara neden olacaktır. Bu çalışmada, dronla teslimata dair algılanan güvenin kullanım niyeti üzerindeki etkisinde ağızdan ağıza iletişim ve algılanan riskin aracılık rolleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada yer alan değişkenlerin temassız teslimat bağlamında şirketler için önemli öngörüler sunacağı beklenmektedir. Çalışmanın evrenini Türkiye’de yaşayan insanlar oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın örneklemi 260 kişiden oluşmuştur. İnternette verilen bir anket ile ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemiyle veriler toplanmıştır. Katılımcılara anket formunu doldurmadan önce drone ile teslimatla ilgili bir video izletilmiştir. Yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılarak istatistiki analizler yapılmıştır. Bulgulara göre algılanan güvenin, ağızdan ağıza iletişim ve kullanım niyeti üzerine olumlu fakat algılanan risk üzerine olumsuz etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Algılanan riskin kullanım niyeti üzerinde herhangi bir etkisinin olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ağızdan ağıza iletişimin ise kullanım niyeti üzerinde olumlu etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Algılanan güvenin ağızdan ağıza iletişim aracılığıyla kullanım niyeti üzerinde etkisinin olduğu ancak algılanan risk aracılığıyla herhangi bir etkisinin olmadığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar çerçevesinde drone ile teslimata yönelik tüketicilerde algılanan güvenin arttırılmasının oldukça önemli olduğu ifade edilebilir. Algılanan güvenin arttırılması için bu teslimat yönteminin risklerinin teknik olarak en aza indirilmesi ve bu teslimat yönteminin güvenilir olduğunun pazarlama iletişimi faaliyetleriyle insanlara anlatılmasının oldukça önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Buçalışma, restoranlarda robot garsonlar kullanmanın tüketicilerin davranışsalniyetleri üzerindeki etkisini incelemektedir. Bu amaçla online anket ve deneyyöntemi kullanılarak 385 kişiden veri toplanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 25 paketprogramı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Tek örneklem t-testi sonucuna göre;robot garsonların kullanılması, tüketicilerin robotik restoranları kullanmaniyetlerinin önemli bir yordayıcısı değildir. Buna ek olarak, bağımsızörneklemler t-testi sonuçlarına göre; kadınlar ve erkekler arasında ve ayrıcabağımsız gruplar için ANOVA sonuçlarına göre; X, Y ve Z jenerasyonları arasındatüketicilerin robotik restoranları kullanma niyetlerinde anlamlı bir farklılıkyoktur. Bununla birlikte, basit lineer regresyon analizi ile elde edilensonuçlara göre; robotik restoran kullanmanın algılanan yenilikçiliği ve robotgarsonlar kullanmanın algılanan değeri, algılanan zevki ve çekiciliği, robotikrestoran kullanımına yönelik tutumun olumlu ve önemli yordayıcılarıdır. Ayrıcarobotik restoran kullanımına yönelik tutum hem robotik restoranları kullanmaniyetinin hem de robotik restoranları kullanmak için daha fazla ödeme yapmaisteğinin olumlu ve önemli bir yordayıcısıdır. Çalışmanın sonunda sınırlılıklarçerçevesinde önerilerde bulunulmuştur. This study examines the effect of using robotwaiters in restaurants on consumers' behavioral intentions. To achieve this aim,data were collected from 385 people using online questionnaire and experimentmethod. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 program. According to theone-sample t-test result; using robot waiters is not a significant predictor ofconsumers' intentions to use robotic restaurants. In addition, based on theindependent samples t-test results; between female and male, and also the resultsof ANOVA for independent groups; between X, Y, and Z generations, there is nosignificant difference in consumers' intention to use robotic restaurants. It wasconcluded the perceived innovativenessof using robotic restaurants, the perceived value, perceived enjoyment, andattractiveness of using robot waiters, are positive and important predictors ofattitude towards using robotic restaurants. In addition, the attitude towardsusing the robotic restaurant is a positive and important predictor of both theintention to use the robotic restaurants and the willingness to pay more to usethe robotic restaurants. At the end of the study, suggestions were made withinthe framework of limitations.

X-linked ornithine transcarbamylase deficiency (OTCD) is the most common urea cycle defect. The disease severity ranges from asymptomatic carrier state to severe neonatal presentation with hyperammonaemic encephalopathy. We audited the diagnosis and management of OTCD, using an online 12-question-survey that was sent to 75 metabolic centres in Turkey, France and the UK. Thirty-nine centres responded and 495 patients were reported in total. A total of 208 French patients were reported, including 71 (34%) males, 86 (41%) symptomatic and 51 (25%) asymptomatic females. Eighty-five Turkish patients included 32 (38%) males, 39 (46%) symptomatic and 14 (16%) asymptomatic females. Out of the 202 UK patients, 66 (33%) were male, 83 (41%) asymptomatic and 53 (26%) symptomatic females. A total of 19%, 12% and 7% of the patients presented with a neonatal-onset phenotype in France, Turkey and the UK, respectively. Vomiting, altered mental status and encephalopathy were the most common initial symptoms in all three countries. While 69% in France and 79% in Turkey were receiving protein restriction, 42% were on a protein-restricted diet in the UK. A total of 76%, 47% and 33% of patients were treated with ammonia scavengers in Turkey, France and the UK, respectively. Rhabdomyolysis is the acute breakdown of skeletal myofibres in response to an initiating factor, most commonly toxins and over exertion. A variety of genetic disorders predispose to rhabdomyolysis through different pathogenic mechanisms, particularly in patients with recurrent episodes. However, most cases remain without a genetic diagnosis. Here we present six patients who presented with severe and recurrent rhabdomyolysis, usually with onset in the teenage years; other features included a history of myalgia and muscle cramps. We identified 10 bi-allelic loss-of-function variants in the gene encoding obscurin (OBSCN) predisposing individuals to recurrent rhabdomyolysis. We show reduced expression of OBSCN and loss of obscurin protein in patient muscle. Obscurin is proposed to be involved in sarcoplasmic reticulum function and Ca2+ handling. Patient cultured myoblasts appear more susceptible to starvation as evidenced by a greater decreased in sarcoplasmic reticulum Ca2+ content compared to control myoblasts. This likely reflects a lower efficiency when pumping Ca2+ back into the sarcoplasmic reticulum and/or a decrease in Ca2+ sarcoplasmic reticulum storage ability when metabolism is diminished. OSBCN variants have previously been associated with cardiomyopathies. None of the patients presented with a cardiomyopathy and cardiac examinations were normal in all cases in which cardiac function was assessed. There was also no history of cardiomyopathy in first degree relatives, in particular in any of the carrier parents. This cohort is relatively young, thus follow-up studies and the identification of additional cases with bi-allelic null OBSCN variants will further delineate OBSCN-related disease and the clinical course of disease. Cabrera-Serrano et al. show that biallelic loss-of-function variants in the gene encoding obscurin (OBSCN) predispose individuals to recurrent and severe episodes of rhabdomyolysis, typically with onset in the teenage years.

Bu çalışmanın amacı televizyonda çıkan korku öğesi barındıran ve virüsten korunma temalı reklamların markaya yönelik ve reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik tutum üzerinde meydana getirdiği etkileri araştırmaktır. Bu tür reklamlar ile karşılaşmış bireyler, araştırmanın hedef kitlesini oluşturmaktadır. İnternet üzerinden erişilen anket çalışmasına katılan 625 kişiden elde edilen verilerle araştırma yapılmıştır. Demografik özellikler çalışmanın bağımsız değişkenlerini oluşturmakta olup, bağımlı değişkenleri markaya ve reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik tutumdur. Çalışmada korku öğesi bulunduran reklamların markaya yönelik ve reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik tutumda bir farklılığa neden olup olmadığı, ayrıca demografik özelliklerin markaya yönelik ve reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik tutumda farklılığa neden olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre korku öğesi bulunduran reklamların markaya yönelik ve reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik olumlu etkisinin olduğu; demografik değişkenlerde ise reklamın güvenilirliğine yönelik tutumda herhangi bir farklılık olmadığı anlaşılmıştır. Reklamda verilen markaya yönelik tutumlarda ise kadınlar erkeklere göre, bekârlar evlilere göre daha olumlu yönde etkilenmişlerdir. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde tek yönlü çok değişkenli varyans analizi ve tek örneklem t testi kullanılmıştır.

Serbest zaman etkinlikleri, insanların gündelik yaşamlarından ve iş yüklerinden artakalan zamanlarında gönüllü olarak yaptıkları etkinliklerdir. Ülkemizde, özellikle erkekler için sportif serbest zaman etkinliği denildiğinde akla ilk futbol gelmektedir. Futbol ve serbest zaman ilişkisinden ortaya çıkan en önemli sektör ise kuşkusuz halı saha futboludur. Buradan hareketle bu araştırmanın amacı; rekreatif amaçlı futbol oynayan yetişkin bireylerin futbola ilişkin ilgilenim düzeylerinin araştırılmasıdır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 425 halı saha futbolu katılımcısı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Serbest Zaman İlgilenim Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde; betimsel istatistikler, t-testi, Pearson ve Spearman korelasyon testleri kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların serbest zaman etkinliği olarak futbol ilgilenim düzeyleri ‘Önem Verme’ boyutunda medeni durum, eğitim durumu ve geçmişte futbol oynama durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. ‘Çekicilik’ boyutunda ise sadece geçmişte futbol oynama durumu değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca yaş ile ‘Önem Verme’, ‘Özdeşleşme’ ve ‘Kendini İfade Etme’ alt boyutları arasında negatif yönde ve düşük düzeyde; rekreatif aktivitelere katılım sıklığı değişkeni ile tüm alt boyutlar arasında pozitif yönde ve düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçları, katılımcıların serbest zaman etkinliği olarak futbolu çekici buldukları ve sosyalleşmelerine katkı sağladığı için tercih ettiklerini göstermektedir. Evli olmayan ve lise mezunu olan katılımcılar, futbola daha çok önem vermektedir. Geçmişte futbol oynamış olan bireyler futbola hem önem vermekte hem de çekici bulmaktadır. Aktivite katılım sıklığı arttıkça da ilgilenim düzeyi artmaktadır., Leisure time activities are activities that people do voluntarily in their remaining time from their daily lives and workloads. When it comes to sportive leisure time activity especially for men in our country, the soccer usually comes to mind. The most important sector emerging from soccer and leisure time relationship is undoubtedly the indoor soccer (carpet turf). The purpose of this paper was to examine the level of involvement of adult individuals who play soccer for recreational purposes. The sample for this project consisted of 425 recreational soccer participants. The “Leisure Involvement Scale” was used as the data collection instrument in this study. Descriptive statistical methods, t-test, Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients were used in the data analysis. Significant differences were recorded according to the marital status, education level and past soccer experience variables in the ‘Centrality’ dimension. There was also a significant difference between the level of involvement and past soccer experience in the ‘Attraction’ dimension. Results of the analysis, on the other hand, demonstrated negative correlations between age and the level of involvement at low level in the ‘Centrality’, the ‘Identity Affirmation’ and the ‘Identity Expression’ dimensions. There was a positive correlation at low level between the level of involvement and the frequency of participation into leisure activities in all dimensions. The participants who played soccer in the past had higher involvement level than the others in the ‘Centrality’ and the ‘Attraction’ dimension. The participants who were unmarried and graduated from high school had higher involvement level than the others in the ‘Centrality’ dimension. As the frequency of leisure participation increased, the participants’ leisure involvement levels increased.

Product delivery by drone has become a topic of increasing interest in the academic community. The aim of this study is to provide information about the authors who conducted the studies, the countries where the studies were conducted, the years of the studies, the methodology of the studies, the theoretical background of the studies, and the variables used in the studies by making a bibliometric analysis of 30 studies, which were selected based on certain criteria, including the subject of product delivery by drone. For this purpose, a bibliometric analysis of 30 selected studies was carried out using VOSviewer software. According to the results obtained, Jinsoo Hwang is the one who has done the most work on product delivery by drone. Most studies were conducted in South Korea. Looking at the years in which the studies were carried out, it was seen that the subject of delivery by drone was studied more and more each year. Accordingly, interest in drone delivery is increasing day by day. The questionnaire method was used in all of the studies. The most technology acceptance model was used in the studies. The most used variables are intention, attitude, risk, and innovativeness, respectively. It is expected that these results will provide researchers with foresight., Drone ile ürün teslimatı giderek artan şekilde akademik çevrelerin ilgisini çeken bir konu olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı belli kritere bağlı olarak seçilen, drone ile ürün teslimatı konusunu içeren 30 çalışmanın bibliyometrik analizinin yapılarak, çalışmaları yapan yazarlar, çalışmaların yapıldığı ülkeler, çalışmaların yapıldığı yıllar, çalışmaların metodolojisi, çalışmaların teorik alt yapıları ve çalışmalarda kullanılan değişkenler hakkında bilgiler sunmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda VOSviewer yazılımı kullanılarak seçilen 30 çalışmanın bibliyometrik analiz gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre drone ile ürün teslimatı konusunda en fazla çalışmayı yapan Jinsoo Hwang’dır. En fazla çalışma Güney Kore’de gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaların yapıldığı yıllara bakıldığında drone ile teslimat konusunun her geçen yıl daha fazla çalışıldığı görülmüştür. Buna göre drone ile teslimat konusuna her geçen gün ilgi artmaktadır. Çalışmarın tümünde anket yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmalarda en fazla teknoloji kabul modeli kullanılmıştır. En fazla kullanılan değişkenler ise sırasıyla niyet, tutum, risk ve yenilikçiliktir. Elde edilen bu sonuçların araştırmacılar ön görüler sunması beklenmektedir.

In this study, the effect of microwave heating on boride formation and diffusion kinetics in 316L stainless steel alloys was investigated. Boriding was carried out in microwave furnace with 2.9 kW power and 2.45 GHz frequency. Four different boriding temperatures (800, 850, 900 and 950 °C) were used. Boriding was performed for 2, 4 and 6 h for each temperature. Boron layer thicknesses of boride layers were determined by optical microscope. SEM images were taken from the cross sections of the borided samples. Boron activation energy was determined as 244.15 kJ/mol in microwave environment. Two times thicker boride layer was obtained by microwave boriding process compared to the conventional heating process. The mechanical properties of the boride layers formed by microwave boriding (Young’s modulus, hardness, yield strength, residual thermal stress) were determined by nanoindentation tests.

The major aim of this study was to determine the opinion of high school students regarding negative-framed antismoking Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on health risks. The data were collected from 884 students attended in twelve high schools in Ipekyolu district of Van Province, Turkey. The findings showed that the PSAs affected the manners of the students positively in smoking cases such as intending to quit smoking, being more conscious about the harms of smoking and warning smokers. The effects of PSAs were found to be more effective on male students than female, non-smoker students than smoker parent on students who have non-smoker parents than those who have at least one smoker parent. The results indicated that special attention should be given to individual factors when producing such kinds of PSAs.

This paper reports on electrophoretic deposition of hydroxyapatite coatings on 316L stainless steel and Ti6Al4V alloy. Coatings were carried out at 60 sec. deposition time and voltage values of 40, 80, 120, 160 Voltage. Suspension: It was prepared by using Ethanol, Hydroxyapatite, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Sodium dodecyl sulfate, N-N-Dimethylformamide chemicals. The findings and results acquired at the end of the study have been presented and discussed. When the Ca/P values calculated in the study are examined, it was seen that there are values close to the ideal Ca/P ratio (1.67) in all parameters. When the roughness values are examined, it was seen that coatings close to the ideal surface roughness value (1-1.5 µm) are obtained. When the nano indentation test results were evaluated, it was observed that coatings suitable for shell bone implants were obtained.

In this study, common weed species (Anthemis sp., Anthemis tinctoria L., Pilosella hoppeana Schultes, Doranicum orientale Hoffm, Muscari neglectum Guss. ex Ten., Ornithogalum armeniacum Baker, Ornithogalum narbonense L., Ornithogalum wiedemannii Boiss., Anchusa azurea Miller, Echium plantagineum L., Echium vulgare L., Ajuga orientalis L., Stachys germenica L., Juncus sp., Anacamptis pyramidalis L., Ophrys apifera Huds., Carex panicea L., Ranunculus sp., Hypericum perforatum L., Primula elatior L. Hill., and Galium rotundifolium L.) of the rangelands of Akdağ mountains, Samsun were evaluated by principal component analysis (PCA) and cluster analysis (CA). These species were collected at least three times in two consecutive years. The proximate nutrients (organic matter, ash, crude protein, ether extract, neutral and acid detergent fibre, non-fibrous carbohydrate and hemicellulose), neutral detergent fibre properties (nitrogen-free neutral detergent fibre and in vitro neutral detergent fibre digestibility), and forage quality indicators (digestible dry matter, dry matter intake, metabolizable energy, net energy lactation, estimated net energy, total digestible nutrients, relative feed value, and relative forage quality) were assessed by chemical analysis and empirical equations. There were significant variations in the nutritional dynamics among the weed species. The PCA results demonstrated a relationship between the dietary dynamics assessed. Component 1 (65.5%) and component 2 (14.5%) described 80.0% of the total variation, with eigenvalues of 11.788 and 2.609 in the weed species, respectively. The loadings plot of components shows that most forage quality indicators were distributed to Quadrant 1 and Quadrant 4. Three clusters are observed from the CA for the weeds with significant linkage distance, indicating relatively high independence for each cluster. Due to high variation in their nutritional dynamics, the weed species (P. elatior, O. wiedemannii, O. narbonense, and G. rotundifolium) were more similar on component 1 ordination and in Cluster 1 of the dendrogram. In conclusion, our results suggest that the highlighted species have significant potential for grazing livestock as forages and could fulfilling the possible forage gap in the grazing system.

Bu çalışmanın başlıca amacı Facebook’ta verilen reklamların, reklam güvenilirliği ve bilgilendiriciliği üzerindeki etkilerini farklı demografik değişkenleri de göz önünde bulundurarak araştırmaktır. Çalışmanın evreni Van’ın Erciş ilçesinde yaşayanlardır. Örneklem ise basit seçkisiz yöntem ile ulaşılan 426 kişidir. Çalışma verileri 2019’un ekim ve kasım aylarında yüz yüze anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın bağımlı değişkenleri Facebook’ta verilen reklamların güvenilirliği (FRG) ve bilgilendiriciliği (FRB) iken bağımsız değişkenleri cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, yaş ve elde edilen gelirdir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre Facebook’ta verilen reklamların bilgilendirici ve güvenilir olmadığı görülmüştür. Kadınlar ve erkekler arasında Facebook’ta verilen reklamların güvenilirliği ve bilgilendiriciliğine yönelik tutumda bir farklılığa rastlanmamış, farklı gelir düzeylerine sahip olanlarda ise Facebook’ta verilen reklamların güvenilirliği ve bilgilendiriciliğine yönelik tutuma olan etkisinde farklılığın olduğu görülmüştür. Elde edilen verilerin analizi için tek örneklem t testi, tek yönlü çok değişkenli varyans analizi ve tek faktörlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan ölçekler, bu amaca uygun bir çalışmadan alınıp, uyarlama yapılarak kullanılmıştır.

Cultivated forage species may have higher nutrients contents (NC) and forage quality indicators (FQI) than their wild relatives. Nine forage samples collected five times from a mixed rangeland and an experimental field during two consecutive years was analysed for ash, crude protein (CP), ether extract (EE) and neutral detergent (NDF) and acid detergent (ADF) fibres. Then, their FQI such as digestible dry matter (DDM), dry matter intake (DMI), metabolizable energy (ME) and relative forage quality (RFQ) were calculated. Data were performed in a linear model with fixed effects (forage plant type [PT] and species [PS]) to NC and FQI, and subjected to hierarchical two-way clustering analysis. Cultivated and wilds relatives varied in CP (12.0-18.9% and 8.8-23.3%), ADF (20.9-33.1% and 39.3-73.5%) and NDF (37.2-61.6% and 26.7-46.1%) contents and ME (8.7-9.7 MJ kg-1 DM and 7.0-9.6 MJ kg-1 DM) and RFQ (98.8-186.7 and 74.6-161.7) values. There were interactions between PT and PS for all NC and FQI, except for CP and EE contents. In general, the CP, EE, ADF, ME and RFQ of cultivars were higher, whereas NDF was lower than those of the wilds. The most notable differences (NDF, ADF and RFQ) between the PT represented the differences in nutritional traits based on the clustering analysis. The cultivated and wilds relatives are comprised of NC and FQI that respond differently under same circumstances.

Robots, which are a reflection of technological developments, are used instead of human waiters for a more effective and efficient workforce and less service failure. This study aims to investigate the effect of robot waiter usage desire on word of mouth (WOM) communication and robot waiter usage attitude of customers in restaurants. In the study, the direct effect of robot waiter usage attitude on WOM and the indirect effect of robot waiter usage desire (through robot waiter usage attitude) on WOM were also investigated. The sample of the study consists of 316 people living in Turkey. The sample of the study was reached by an online survey and snowball sampling method. Structural equation modeling was used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to the results obtained from the study, the desire to use the robot waiter has a direct positive effect on the attitude of using the robot waiter and WOM. In addition, the desire to use attitude robot waiter has an indirect and positive effect on WOM (through the use of robot waiters). It has also been concluded that the use of robot waiters has a direct positive effect on WOM. The fact that the desire to use the robot waiter has a positive effect on both the robot waiter usage attitude and WOM has shown that the creation of the robot waiter usage desire is very important for the restaurants. It is thought that effective use of marketing communication activities will be beneficial to create the desire to use a robot waiter., Teknolojik gelişmelerin bir yansıması olan robotlar, insan garsonların yerine daha etkin ve verimli iş gücü, daha az hizmet hatası amaçlarıyla kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı restoranlarda robot garson kullanım arzusunun, ağızdan ağıza iletişim ve müşterilerin robot garson kullanım tutumu üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktır. Çalışmada robot garson kullanım tutumunun ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerindeki doğrudan etkisi ve robot garson kullanım arzusunun, robot garson kullanım tutumu aracılığıyla ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerindeki dolaylı etkisi de araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Türkiye’de yaşayan 316 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemine online anket ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemiyle ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen verilen analizinde yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre, robot garson kullanım arzusunun, robot garson kullanım tutumu ve ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerinde doğrudan olumlu etkisi bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca robot garson kullanım arzusunun, robot garson kullanım tutumu aracılığıyla ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerinde dolaylı ve olumlu etkisi bulunmaktadır. Robot garson kullanım tutumunun ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerinde doğrudan olumlu etkisi olduğu sonucuna da ulaşılmıştır. Robot garson kullanım arzusunun hem robot garson kullanım tutumu hem de ağızdan ağıza iletişim üzerinde olumlu etkisinin olması, robot garson kullanım arzusunun oluşturulmasının restoranlar için oldukça önemli olduğunu göstermiştir. Robot garson kullanım arzusunun oluşturulması için pazarlama iletişimi faaliyetlerinin etkin şekilde kullanılması faydalı olacaktır.

Deep learning is widely used to create artificial contents on the Internet. Similarly, it is also used to detect fake contents. Fake frames created and integrated with deep learning algorithms are known as deepfake. Recently, malicious users tend to use deepfake to manipulate genuine contents to carry out variety of attacks. Video conferencing applications has been a significant target of the malicious users since the beginning of Covid-19 pandemic who use deepfake models to create fake virtual identities in online video conferences. We propose a lightweight deepfake detection model that may be integrated with video conference applications to detect fake faces. Experimental analyses show that the proposed model provides acceptable accuracy to detect fake images on video conferences.

Objectives X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD), is a peroxisomal inborn error of metabolism caused due to the loss of function variants of ABCD1 gene that leads to accumulation of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) in several tissues including the neurological system. Childhood cerebral X-ALD (CCALD) is the most common and severe form of X-ALD, if left untreated. Allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is the only available therapy that halts neurological deterioration in CCALD. We present 12 patients with several subtypes of X-ALD that were followed-up in a single center. Methods Data of 12 patients diagnosed with X-ALD were documented retrospectively. Demographics, age of onset, initial symptoms, endocrine and neurological findings, VLCFA levels, neuroimaging data, molecular genetic analysis of ABCD1 gene, and disease progress were documented. Results Mean age of initiation of symptoms was 7.9 years and mean age of diagnosis was 10.45 years. Eight patients had the CCALD subtype, while two had the cerebral form of AMN, one had the adult form of cerebral ALD, and one patient had the Addison only phenotype. The most common initial symptoms involved the neurological system. Loes scores varied between 0 and 12. Seven patients with CCALD underwent HSCT, among them three patients died. The overall mortality rate was 25%. Conclusions Patients with X-ALD should be carefully followed up for cerebral findings and progression, since there is no genotype–phenotype correlation, and the clinical course cannot be predicted by family history. HSCT is the only available treatment option for patients with neurological deterioration.

We describe the first child with guanidinoacetate methyltransferase (GAMT) deficiency who developed neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) after the treatment of risperidone without elevated creatine kinase (CK) levels. The patient presented with lethargy, hyperthermia, generalized tremor and rigidity with normal serum CK levels. After cessation of risperidone and adding clonezepam to the supportive treatment, symptoms of NMS were ameliorated. We conclude that although serum CK elevation is a useful indicator for the early detection of NMS, normal serum CK levels may be seen during the NMS course in the presence of GAMT deficiency.
