Purpose: to study the dynamics of changes in coordination abilities of qualified female volleyball players under the influence of using a set of exercises and outdoor games. Material and methods: the following research methods were used in the research: analysis of scientific and methodological literature; pedagogical experiment; pedagogical testing; methods of mathematical statistics. During the research, the pedagogical experiment was conducted and aimed at increasing the level of coordination abilities of qualified female volleyball players. A group of 10 qualified female volleyball players at the age of 18-21 years of the team “Kharkivyanka” (Kharkiv) was chosen for its holding, who takes part in competitions of teams of the Major League of Ukraine. Such means as a set of special exercises and outdoor were proposed for the development of coordination abilities, and appropriate tests were used to evaluate them. Results: the analysis of the results of the pedagogical experiment showed that the average arithmetic values of the indicators for each of the four selected tests after the experiment were significantly higher compared to the results of the corresponding tests obtained before the experiment. The results of the corresponding comparative analysis using the Student’s test proved the validity of the difference between values of the indicators of these tests. Conclusions: the proposed means to increase the level of coordination abilities of female volleyball players justified themselves as effective. They can be used by team coaches in practical work to prepare players for a defensive role, which will contribute to improving the team’s game performance in training and competitive activities.

Purpose: increase in the level of technical preparedness of volleyball players at the stage of initial training under the influence of visual perception of the parameters of movements. Material & Methods: 36 female athletes from the initial training group aged 10–11 years old participated in the study in Kharkov. In the course of the study, the following methods were used: analysis of scientific and methodological literature; pedagogical testing pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. The pedagogical experiment lasted 8 weeks and was built with the participation of two groups: a control (18 players), the training process of which corresponded to the contents of the Youth Sports School's volleyball program, and an experimental (18 players), the content of the training was supplemented by a program using the technique of technical training, on the basis of visual perception by athletes of the specifics of performing technical techniques. The pedagogical experiment lasted 3 months, after which the changes in the level of technical preparedness of volleyball players of both groups. Results: after the pedagogical experiment, there were established significant improvements in the performance of two test exercises at the athletes of the experimental group. Changes in the results of the volleyball players in the control group were unreliable. Conclusions: our proposed technique of technical training, which is based on the visual perception of athletes of biomechanical peculiarities of performing technical techniques, is effective and can be used by trainers of initial training groups.

Purpose: determine the quantitative indicators of the game actions of the central blocking amateur teams in competitions under the aegis Volleyball Federation of Kharkiv region. Material & Methods: an analysis of statistical data obtained as a result of pedagogical observations of the execution of blocks in 36 games (116 games) by 10 players of this role was carried out. The following methods were used: analysis of scientific methodological literature; pedagogical observation, methods of mathematical statistics. Results: quantitative indicators of gaming actions of players related to the execution of blocks, in particular, the distribution of loading of game zones by attacks, the distribution of the number of blocks of different species by zones, the distribution of the number of fines of their attackers are determined. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the actions of the players during blocking in various defense zones was carried out. Conclusions: the results can be used to solve the problem of increasing the effectiveness of the game of central blocking volleyball teams in the process of training and competition.
