Purpose: Excellent service to both muzaki and mustahik for zakat management organizations is one of the advantages that must continue to be maintained and improve its quality. This research used the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method to obtain importance and satisfaction values for each program service provided so that it can identify problems and recommend appropriate improvements. This research was used to determine the level of interest and satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the mustahik service program at The Dompet Dhuafa Community Service Institution (Lembaga Pelayan Masyarakat - LPM) in the form of a satisfaction index, as well as to find out what priority aspects can be done to improve the quality of this program's services. Design/methodology/approach: The sampling and data collection technique was carried out using convenience sampling along with questionnaires, interviews and document study. A total of 31 respondents in the Jabodetabek area filled out surveys both face-to-face and telephone. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out using two methods, namely the Customer Satisfaction Index and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The dimension of Service Quality (ServQual) analyzed is related to 5 aspects, namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance and Empathy. Findings: Based on the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) analysis of mustahik services, in quadrant 1 there are 5 items that are the main priority for improvement. The satisfaction score of the LPM Dompet Dhuafa mustahik service program index is 78.60. The LPM Dompet Dhuafa mustahik service program is a part of the Mustahik Journey which serves mustahik segments with emergency criteria and open disbursement proportionally and continues to upgrade the quality of its services. Research limitations/implications: This research has limited respondents and time in exploring the mustahik segmentation and area. Practical implications: This research can be a reference for further research related to the mustahik service program, mustahik journey and zakat disbursement. Originality/value: This research shows that the role of LPM DD is very important in the mustahik journey and it is necessary to continue to improve service quality and listen to the aspirations of various parties. Purpose: Financial well-being is gained significant attention around the world due to the effect of COVID-19 pandemic. It is one of the elements of well-being and it was explained where an individual can control the financial matter on current life and future life as well without feeling worries on his or her financial situation and it is vital to get better quality of life. Thus, this study aims to analyses the factors that influencing financial well-being among young workers from B40 household income group. Design/methodology/approach: Three variables are tested for this study namely self-control, financial knowledge, and financial capability. The sample for this study consisted of 470 respondents participated in the survey using purposive sampling. The data collected via online form. Multiple regression analysis is employed to analyse the data gathered. Findings: The findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between self-control, financial knowledge and financial capability with financial well-being. Research limitations/implications: Variables suggested for future research include spending behaviour, money management, and socio demographic factors. The study on financial well-being can also be extended into M40 household income group where this group also quite fragile and affected with the economy pressure. Practical implications: The results could be used as guide to related government agencies, financial institutions, and the individual as well in understanding the important of financial well-being to curb from facing financial problem and to have a better quality of life. Objective: To test whether the impacts of Medicaid's Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) expenditures have been equitable. Data Sources and Study Setting: This is a secondary data analysis. We linked annual data on state-level Medicaid HCBS expenditures with individual data from U.S. Health and Retirement Study (HRS; 2006-2016). Study Design: We evaluated the association between state-level HCBS expenditure quartiles and the risk of experiencing challenges in basic or instrumental activities of daily living (I/ADLs) without assistance (unmet needs for care). We fitted generalized estimating equations (GEE) with a Poisson distribution, log link function, and an unstructured covariance matrix. We controlled demographics, time, and place-based fixed effects and estimated models stratified by race and ethnicity, gender, and urbanicity. We tested the robustness of results with negative controls. Data Collection/Extraction Methods: Our analytic sample included HRS Medicaid beneficiaries, aged 55+, who had difficulty with [greater than or equal to]1 I/ADL (n = 2607 unique respondents contributing 4719 person-wave observations). Principal Findings: Among adults with IADL difficulty, higher quartiles of HCBS expenditure (vs. the lowest quartile) were associated with a lower overall prevalence of unmet needs for care (e.g., Prevalence Ratio [PR], Q4 vs. Q1: 0.91, 95% CI: 0.84-0.98). This protective association was concentrated among non-Hispanic white respondents (Q4 vs. Ql: 0.82, 95% CI: 0.73-0.93); estimates were imprecise for Hispanic individuals and largely null for non-Hispanic Black participants. We found no evidence of heterogeneity by gender or urbanicity. Negative control robustness checks indicated that higher quartiles of HCBS expenditure were not associated with (1) the risk of reporting I/ADL difficulty among 55+ Medicaid beneficiaries, and (2) the risk of unmet care needs among non-Medicaid beneficiaries. Conclusion: The returns to higher state-level HCBS expenditures under Medicaid for older adults with I/ADL disability do not appear to have been equitable by race and ethnicity. This paper investigates the so far unexplored theoretical tension associated with foreign investor valuations of emerging market firms (EMFs) that tap into global capital markets. One line of argument expands the liability of foreignness perspective into the capital market domain where a foreign firm faces legitimacy and unfamiliarity issues. In contrast, there is recognition of the benefits to global investors in EMFs associated with geographic portfolio diversification. Our core premise is that EMFs face a cost-benefit trade-off associated with the extent of institutional distance when venturing abroad in search of financial resources. Based on a theoretical model grounded in institutional theory, we find a curvilinear effect of institutional distance on foreign equity valuations. Furthermore, we show that information spillovers through a focal firm's domestic capital market and international product market strategies moderate this relationship. Purpose: Due to Covid-19, online learning is extensively adopted by the education industry and is a common learning method nowadays. Even though it is preferred by most of the education providers, nevertheless, the student's performance is more pertinent. This research has been conducted to investigate the impact of online learning on the academic performance of public university students in Malaysia mediated by the student's commitment. Therefore, the objective of the study is to 1) examine the effect of online learning on academic performance; 2) investigate the effect of online learning affecting student commitment; 3) analyze the effect of student commitment on academic performance. Design/methodology/approach: This study is a quantitative study which the data gathered through questionnaire. PLS-SEM software version 3.3.3 was used to analyze the data obtained from 119 students at a Malaysian public university. Findings: The result indicates that online learning positively impacts academic performance and student's commitment, and a positive relationship between student's commitment and academic performance. Thus, all hypotheses are found to be supported. Research limitations: The study is limited to Malaysian public university only. Basically, the study is limited to three main variables that are independent variable which represent by online learning (learning platform, interaction, and technology); mediating variable which represent by student commitment (learning environment, time allocation, and peer relationship); and dependent variable of academic performance (CGPA and practical skill). Practical implications: It was determined that the findings of the study prove the impact of online learning on academic achievement as mediated by student commitment were important. As a result, online learning has a favourable effect on students' dedication and academic achievement. The findings might be significant to other institutions and at different level of education as well, hence, other variables could be explored. Lecturer, teachers, and education institutions should consider on improving the learning platform, interaction, and technology for the online learning efficiency. Whereas the student themselves should improve their learning environment, time allocation, and peer relationship in ensuring better academic performance particularly on CGPA and practical skill. Originality/value: This study focuses on variables and factors which could improve a student's academic performance mainly on online learning mode. The data been collected after Covid-19 strikes which the online learning becomes the main platform and the only option that the student could go for. Therefore, the respondent's feedback in the study might different compared to other research about online learning which the mode is voluntarily chosen by the student.
