Разработано web-приложение, позволяющее вести учет и мониторинг арендной платы и коммунальных услуг арендаторов. Разработано web-приложение, позволяющее ускорить процесс взаимодействия жильцов и сотрудников служб ЖКХ при выполнении заявок на ремонт электротехнического и сантехнического оборудования, мониторинга качества уборки дворовых территорий и подъездов. Web-приложение можно использовать как на стационарных, так и на мобильных устройствах. The necessity of using web-technologies in ERP-systems is substantiated on the example of an integrated information system of housing and communal services. A web-application has been developed that allows keeping records and monitoring of rents and utilities of tenants. A web application has been developed to speed up the process of interaction between residents and employees of housing and communal services when fulfilling requests for the repair of electrical and plumbing equipment, monitoring the quality of cleaning courtyards and entrances. Web applications can be used on both desktop and mobile devices.

PT Asuransi Jiwasraya has been facing a crisis since 2020, which later probably demand them to reconstruct their insurance policy. Nothing is decided aside from the reconstruction idea. This is a hard task to deal with as there is a high risk to be borne along. In the worst case, bankruptcy awaits. As technology has taken over most industries, including insurance, it is only normal for the company to take advantage of the applied technology. However, it is still unknown whether the database used could help fulfill the mission. Considering loads of data might be higher by year, it will be more efficient to use the integrated database to transfer the whole data into a new-adapted database rather than creating a new one and manually adapt then add the data. This could be done by doing a Bottom-up approach that occurs in two big steps. This is the safest choice now which is handy and possible.

The first parts of the study, consist of a review of the state, structure and providers of agricultural statistics in Turkey, followed by quality evaluation by a group of academic users using 6 quality indicators and 8 sub-groups of agricultural statistics. In the folllowing sections, proposal for an integrated database system named TAR-İST is introduced. This system consists of a source database with detailed statistics such as production, inputs, prices, foreign trade which are semi-integrated within but not integrated between and a core database which is integrated via integrating structures such as commodity balances, value added, input accounts, input-output tables, value chains. In the final sections, proposals are introduced regarding TAR-İST user interfaces and management. While, it is natural for TAR-İST to be developed and disseminated by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry which is in charge of the sector, in collaboration with TURKSTAT which is the major producer of statistics, in case they show no interest, as in the past, it is noted that, non-profit NGO’s, universities, foundations and research centers and even private firms which wish to commercially exploit the value added, are the options for housing TAR-İST., Çalışmanın ilk bölümlerinde, Türkiye’de tarım istatistiklerinin yapısı, durumu ve sunucuları üzerine bir değerlendirme yapılmış, kullanıcı akademisyenler gözünden 6 kalite göstergesi, ve 8 tarım istatistiği alt grubu için kalite değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.İzleyen bölümlerde, TAR-İST adı verilen bütünleşik bir tarım istatistikleri veri tabanı sistemi önerilmektedir. TAR-İST’in tarım ile ilgili kurum olan Tarım ve Orman Bakanlığının ev sahipliğinde, verilerin büyük çoğunu veri tabanlarında bulunduran TÜİK’le işbirliği içinde geliştirilmesi ve kullanıma sunulması en doğalıdır. Ancak, bu kurumların, konuya sahip çıkmaması durumunda, tarımla ilgili STK’lardan, kar amacı gütmeyen üniversite, vakıf, merkezlere ve hatta yaratılacak katma değeri ticari amaçla kullanacak özel teşebbüslere varan seçenekler söz konusu olabilecektir.

الملخص: إستهدفت الدراسة تحديد واقع التحول الرقمي کإستراتيجية لتطوير برامج الحماية الاجتماعية، وتحديد فوائده وتقنياته، وتحديد المعوقات التي تواجه تطبيق إستراتجية التحول الرقمي والمقترحات التي تساعد على تفعيل التحول الرقمي کإستراتيجية لتطوير برامج الحماية الاجتماعية، وتعد من الدراسات الوصفية التي إعتمدت على منهج المسح الإجتماعي الشامل للاخصائيين الاجتماعيين المسئولين عن تنفيذ برنامج تکافل وکرامة بمديرية التضامن الاجتماعي بمحافظة أسيوط والبالغ عددهم (130) مفردة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى تحديد واقع التحول الرقمي کإستراتيجية لتطوير برامج الحماية الإجتماعية وتمثل في إتاحة خدمات التسجيل الإلکتروني، وإتاحة التظلمات والشکاوى على الموقع الإلکتروني، وجود ربط شبکي بين قواعد المعلومات، أما عن الفوائد فتمثلت في سرعة الأداء، وتعزيز الشفافية والحوکمة وعدالة توزيع الخدمات، أما عن تقنيات التحول الرقمي فتمثلت في إستخدام التابلت الإلکتروني، والربط الإلکتروني الشبکي بين المؤسسات المعنية، وجود قاعدة بيانات متکاملة عن المستفيدين من برنامج تکافل وکرامة، وتمثلت أهم المعوقات في عدم معرفة المواطنين بالخدمات الرقمية وکيفية التعامل معها، وتعطل العمل عند حدوث مشکلات تقنية، وضعف البنية التحتية والتکنولوجية، بينما تمثلت المقترحات في نشر الوعي بين المستفيدين بتحديثات خدمات وزارة التضامن الاجتماعي، ونشر الثقافة الرقمية داخل المنظمة وتوعية وتدريب العاملين على عملية التحول الرقمي. الکلمات الدالة: التحول الرقمي، برامج الحماية الإجتماعية، تنظيم المجتمع. Abstract: This study aimed to determine reality of digital transformation as a strategy for developing social protection programs, and determine its benefits and techniques, and determine the obstacles that facing implementation of digital transformation strategy and the proposals that help to activate digital transformation as a strategy for developing social protection programs, it is considered one of the descriptive studies that depend on comprehensive social survey methodology for social workers who responsible of implementing Takaful and Karama program in the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Assiut Governorate, their numbered (130) social workers, the study concluded with determine reality of digital transformation as a strategy for developing social protection programs, which was represented in the availability of electronic registration services, availability of grievances and complaints on the website, and existence of a network link between the information databases. As for the benefits, they were speedy performance, enhancing transparency, governance, and justice distribution of services. As for digital transformation techniques, that were represented in using of the electronic tablet, the electronic network connection between the relevant agencies, existence of an integrated database about of beneficiaries from of the Takaful and Karama program, and the most important obstacles were the lack of Knowing citizens about digital services and how to use it, and disrupted work when occur technical problems, weak infrastructure and technology, while the proposals represented in spreading awareness among the beneficiaries about of services updates Ministry of Social Solidarity, spreading digital culture within the organization and Awareness and training of workers on the digital transformation process. هدف هذا البحث إلى الکشف عن درجة توافر مقومات العمل عن بعد في جامعة شقراء على ضوء جائحة کورونا (covid-19) ، ومعرفة المقترحات التي قد تسهم في توفير مقومات العمل عن بعد في جامعة شقراء، وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي کما استخدم الاستبانة؛ أداة للدراسة، وتکون مجتمع الدراسة من عمداء، ووکلاء، ومدراء الإدارات، بجامعة شقراء ، والبالغ عددهم (113)، واستخدم الباحث أسلوب الحصر الشامل، وقام بتطبيق أداة الدراسة إلکترونيا على مجتمع الدراسة، بلغت عدد الردود (100) مستجيب، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج، أبرزها ما يلي: أن أفراد الدراسة موافقون بدرجة عالية على درجة توافر مقومات العمل عن بعد في جامعة شقراء في ضوء جائحة کورونا (covid-19) ، وتبين من النتائج أن أبرز العبارات التي حصلت على الموافقة بدرجة عالية في هذا المحور هي: يتم إعداد التقارير المطلوبة بشکل دوري عن سير العمل والارتقاء به بشکل مستمر، يتم عقد اجتماعات المجالس المختصة ( القسم ، الکلية ، مجلس الجامعة ، عن طريق أنظمة العمل عن بعد في الأوقات المحددة لها، تباشر اللجان العلمية المختصة أداء مهام عملها عن بعد في أزمة کورونا. وکشفت النتائج أن أفراد الدراسة موافقون بدرجة کبيرة على أهم المقترحات التي تسهم في توفير مقومات العمل عن بعد في ضوء أزمة کورونا، وتبين من النتائج أن أبرز المقترحات، هي :امتلاک الجامعة لتطبيقات وأنظمة تقنية حديثة خاصة بها تتوفر فيها برامج أمن المعلومات، تزويد البوابة الإلکترونية بقاعدة بيانات ومعلومات تقنية متکاملة تسهل العمل عن بعد، تدريب العاملين على أنظمة العمل عن بعد وآليات استخدامها في العمل عن بعد. وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في استجابات أفراد الدراسة نحو (فاعلية العمل عن بعد، أهم المقترحات) باختلاف متغير الوظيفة. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج؛ أوصت الدراسة بوضع التشريعات واللوائح الإدارية المنظمة لاستخدام أنظمة وتطبيقات العمل عن بعد، وتزويد العاملين بالمهارات اللازمة للتعامل مع الأنظمة والبرامج التقنية المستخدمة في العمل عن بعد، وضرورة امتلاک الجامعة لتطبيقات وأنظمة تقنية حديثة خاصة بها تتوفر فيها برامج أمن المعلومات. This study aims to identify the availability degree of telework components at ShaqraUniversity in light of Covid-19 pandemic. It also aims to identify proposals that may contribute to providing telework components at ShaqraUniversity. The researcher used a descriptive survey approach. He also used the questionnaire as a tool for his study. The study community consisted of deans, deputy deans, and department heads at ShaqraUniversity, whose number is 113. The researcher used the Complete Census style. He electronically applied the study to the study community. He got responses from 100 respondents. The study concluded a group of results, notable among these are: Study individuals agree with a high degree on “the availability degree of telework components at ShaqraUniversity in light of Covid-19 Pandemic”. Results showed that the most prominent phrases with high agree degree are: the required reports, of workflow and developing it, are being prepared periodically – meetings of competent boards (the department, the college, and the university board) were held through telework systems on time – the competent boards carry out its functions remotely under COVID-19. Results revealed that the study individuals agree with a high degree on the most important proposals that may contribute to providing telework components at ShaqraUniversity. Results showed that the most significant proposals are: The university has modern systems and applications with information security programs, providing the portal with an integrated database and technical information that make telework easy, to train staff on telework systems and techniques of using it in telework. Results showed that there are no statically significant differences within the study sample responses towards (the effectiveness of telework, the most significant proposals) with the difference of the job variable. In light of these results, the study recommended the following: To develop legislations and administrative regulations to regulate using telework systems and applications, To qualify staff with skills required to deal with systems and technology programs used in telework. The university should have modern technologies and applications with information security programs.

Integrative research about multiple biochemical subsystems has significant potential to help advance biology, bioengineering and medicine. However, it is difficult to obtain the diverse data needed for integrative research. To facilitate biochemical research, we developed Datanator (https://datanator.info), an integrated database and set of tools for finding clouds of multiple types of molecular data about specific molecules and reactions in specific organisms and environments, as well as data about chemically-similar molecules and reactions in phylogenetically-similar organisms in similar environments. Currently, Datanator includes metabolite concentrations, RNA modifications and half-lives, protein abundances and modifications, and reaction rate constants about a broad range of organisms. Going forward, we aim to launch a community initiative to curate additional data. Datanator also provides tools for filtering, visualizing and exporting these data clouds. We believe that Datanator can facilitate a wide range of research from integrative mechanistic models, such as whole-cell models, to comparative data-driven analyses of multiple organisms., Graphical Abstract Graphical AbstractDatanator (https://datanator.info) is an integrated database of molecular data. High-throughput screening based on CRISPR-Cas9 libraries has become an attractive and powerful technique to identify target genes for functional studies. However, accessibility of public data is limited due to the lack of user-friendly utilities and up-to-date resources covering experiments from third parties. Here, we describe iCSDB, an integrated database of CRISPR screening experiments using human cell lines. We compiled two major sources of CRISPR-Cas9 screening: the DepMap portal and BioGRID ORCS. DepMap portal itself is an integrated database that includes three large-scale projects of CRISPR screening. We additionally aggregated CRISPR screens from BioGRID ORCS that is a collection of screening results from PubMed articles. Currently, iCSDB contains 1375 genome-wide screens across 976 human cell lines, covering 28 tissues and 70 cancer types. Importantly, the batch effects from different CRISPR libraries were removed and the screening scores were converted into a single metric to estimate the knockout efficiency. Clinical and molecular information were also integrated to help users to select cell lines of interest readily. Furthermore, we have implemented various interactive tools and viewers to facilitate users to choose, examine and compare the screen results both at the gene and guide RNA levels. iCSDB is available at https://www.kobic.re.kr/icsdb/.

ViruSurf, available at http://gmql.eu/virusurf/, is a large public database of viral sequences and integrated and curated metadata from heterogeneous sources (GenBank, COG-UK and NMDC); it also exposes computed nucleotide and amino acid variants, called from original sequences. A GISAID-specific ViruSurf database, available at http://gmql.eu/virusurf_gisaid/, offers a subset of these functionalities. Given the current pandemic outbreak, SARS-CoV-2 data are collected from the four sources; but ViruSurf contains other virus species harmful to humans, including SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, Ebola, and Dengue.The database is centered on sequences, described from their biological, technological, and organizational dimensions. In addition, the analytical dimension characterizes the sequence in terms of its annotations and variants. The web interface enables expressing complex search queries in a simple way; arbitrary search queries can freely combine conditions on attributes from the four dimensions, extracting the resulting sequences.Several example queries on the database confirm and possibly improve results from recent research papers; results can be recomputed over time and upon selected populations. Effective search over large and curated sequence data may enable faster responses to future threats that could arise from new viruses.

In the past few decades, major initiatives have been launched around the world to address chemical safety testing. These efforts aim to innovate and improve the efficacy of existing methods with the long-term goal of developing new risk assessment paradigms. The transcriptomic and toxicological profiling of mammalian cells has resulted in the creation of multiple toxicogenomic datasets and corresponding tools for analysis. To enable easy access and analysis of these valuable toxicogenomic data, we have developed ToxicoDB (toxicodb.ca), a free and open cloud-based platform integrating data from large in vitro toxicogenomic studies, including gene expression profiles of primary human and rat hepatocytes treated with 231 potential toxicants. To efficiently mine these complex toxicogenomic data, ToxicoDB provides users with harmonized chemical annotations, time- and dose-dependent plots of compounds across datasets, as well as the toxicity-related pathway analysis. The data in ToxicoDB have been generated using our open-source R package, ToxicoGx (github.com/bhklab/ToxicoGx). Altogether, ToxicoDB provides a streamlined process for mining highly organized, curated, and accessible toxicogenomic data that can be ultimately applied to preclinical toxicity studies and further our understanding of adverse outcomes.

Objective Tuberculosis (TB) poses a huge socioeconomic burden and remains listed among the top ten causes of deaths across the globe, despite enormous efforts of health agencies and researchers. The primary concern in a relatively slower pace of curbing TB is the emergence of multi-drug resistance and difficulty in tracking antibiotic consumption. Methods We propose here a biometric-linked digital means of antibiotic prescription data collection and its utility for various epidemiological assessments. Results In this short communication, we propose here, a visionary workflow to explore the use of biometric identification system to gather the antibiotic prescription information for tuberculosis cases and real-time monitoring over a global scale. Our proposal is mainly aimed at collection of antibiotic prescription data at clinician level and point of sales level using a simple fingerprint-based biometric approach and its linkage to unique biometric IDs such as Aadhar in India and related systems in other countries. Conclusion The online server and web-interface are aimed at facilitating the health organizations and medical councils to monitor the antibiotic prescription and their consumption in real time. This will not only augment the existing policy-making regarding drug-resistance programs but also promote the collection and downstream exploratory analysis of huge amount of data to get a deeper insight into the epidemiology of tuberculosis and related diseases.

Distributed processing is an operative way to improve the performance of the distributed database systems and thus showing the effectiveness of computational intelligence. A specific arrangement of distributed processing through distributed database, where a logically integrated database is physically scattered over several distinct but linked through the computing facilities. Hence, proper fragmentation of data across numerous sites of the network is considered as a significant exploration area in the distributed database environment. Data can be allocated in distinct servers by fragmenting the complete or partially database into several pieces with different techniques. Each piece is stored at the different sites. In this paper, an exploration of fragmentation techniques in distributed database is done. Fragmentation techniques had been proved by many researches in improving the performance of the distributed database system, increase the data accessibility, reduce the transfer cost and access time. This paper presents a survey of numerous fragmentation techniques on distributed database systems.

Introduction Information about occupations and job attributes is available in siloed databases. The lack of integrated data precludes ad-hoc querying and research investigating occupational determinants of health e.g. COVID-19 or stress. Core to integration of occupation data is taxonomic representation of job categories. In North America the official occupational taxonomies are the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) and the United States Standard Occupational Classification (SOC). Objectives This study aimed to integrate job attribute data from the Canadian Career Handbook (CH) and O*NET database to facilitate cross-classification query capabilities and to prototype the creation of metrics for comparing occupations based on job attributes. Methods The integrated database was completed hierarchical structures of both occupational taxonomies were represented; job attributes were selected from the CH and O*NET-SOC; the database was populated with occupational descriptions; occupational codes from the CH and O*NET-SOC were linked using the Brookfield Institute NOC to O*NET-SOC crosswalk. Results The database consists of 1679 rows with unique occupations and 181 columns with occupational attributes. Rows contain a unique combination of hierarchical structures from the CH and O*NET-SOC. Rows also contain detailed occupational descriptions from CH and O*NET-SOC. We queried the integrated data checking O*NET-SOC to CH equivalence and cross-taxonomy selection of job attributes, e.g. Retrieve all or selected attributes for an occupation by CH code or equivalent code in O*NET-SOC. We ran queries for targeted scenarios to retrieve occupations: i) where work is done in physical proximity to others, ii) where incumbents are exposed to disease or infections, iii) at risk of back pain due to physical work factors, iv) where incumbents experience high work-related stressors. Conclusion We report a database combining selected information from the CH and O*NET-SOC that facilitates complex occupational health queries. Further we investigated work-related stressors on low back pain risk by occupation.

The small size of nanobodies bestows multiple therapeutic advantages (stability, tumor penetration) with the first therapeutic approval in 2018 cementing the clinical viability of this format. Structured data and sequence information of nanobodies will enable the accelerated clinical development of nanobody-based therapeutics. Though the nanobody sequence and structure data are deposited in the public domain at an accelerating pace, the heterogeneity of sources and lack of standardization hampers reliable harvesting of nanobody information. We address this issue by creating the Integrated Database of Nanobodies for Immunoinformatics (INDI, http://naturalantibody.com/nanobodies). INDI collates nanobodies from all the major public outlets of biological sequences: patents, GenBank, next-generation sequencing repositories, structures and scientific publications. We equip INDI with powerful nanobody-specific sequence and text search facilitating access to >11 million nanobody sequences. INDI should facilitate development of novel nanobody-specific computational protocols helping to deliver on the therapeutic promise of this drug format.

This paper describes the design of a Genetic Algorithm based Time Table Scheduling Tool for Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) based on courses, faculties, classrooms, and slots. The tool has an integrated database for storing data. The tool is named as Genetic Algorithm (GA) based TimeTabling (GATT) tool and is web-based. Both hard and soft constraints are incorporated. The hard constraints are implemented in a mandatory manner so that all hard conflicts are avoided. Then out of all feasible solutions, the goal is to maximize soft fitness scores by minimizing the number of soft conflicts. The GATT tool schedules courses after a series of iterations and the results were stored in a database. The final output is openly accessible from the web portal, while modifications if any can be made only by authorized personnel.

Despite availability of various image sources for specific areas, a new disaster management system is likely to be implemented by using only one of them. Thus, its applicability and extensibility are severely limited. In addition, real-time update for the disaster area is one of the crucial functions for search and rescue activities. To meet the aforementioned requirements, in this paper, we propose a new spatial data infrastructure by defining the methodological scheme for the raster information. The proposed system has four respective layers to reduce the management cost as well as provide a flexible architecture. In each layer, various open source software or standard technologies are employed to perform the given tasks. The experimental results reveal that the proposed scheme accommodates the requirements for disaster risk management and meets the performance requirements in an efficient way.

Background: Previous studies have revealed that DNA methylation plays a crucial role in eukaryotic growth and development via involvement in the regulation of gene expression and chromosomal instability. With the advancement of biotechnology, next-generation sequencing (NGS) is emerging as a popular method to explore the functions of DNA methylation, and an increasing number of genome-scale DNA methylation datasets have been published. Several DNA methylation databases, including MethDB, NGSmethDB and MENT have been developed for storing and analyzing the DNA methylation data. However, no public resource dedicated to DNA methylation of Oryza sativa is available to date. Methods & Results: We built a comprehensive database (RMDB) for integration and analysis of DNA methylation data of Oryza sativa. A couple of functional modules were developed to identify the connections between DNA methylation and phenotypes. Moreover, rich graphical visualization tools were employed to facilitate data presentation and interpretation. Conclusion: RMDB is an integrated database dedicated to rice DNA methylation. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first integrated rice DNA methylation database. We believe that RMDB will be helpful to understand the epigenetic mechanisms of Oryza sativa. Background: With the declining trend of new drugs yield each year, more comprehensive knowledge of drug MoAs can help identify new applications of available drugs and discovery novel mechanism of drug action. Objective: Therefore, construction of a specialized drug mode of action (MoA) database is of paramount importance for new drug research & development. Methods: This paper introduces an integrated database for drug mode of action knowledge (MoABank). Results: This database can provide the knowledge about drug MoAs, targets, pathways, side effects and other drug-related information for researchers. Conclusion: We believe MoABank can make it more convenient for users to obtain the drug MoA information in the future.

This research aims to determine how to analyze the implementation of Joint Venture group Program in Katingan Hilir Sub-district of Katingan. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive that is to explain a phenomenon that exists to solve a problem. In this research there are two data sources, namely primary data sources obtained from interviews with the head of the field of social empowerment and poor management of the social service of the regency of Katingan, the head of the section of stimulant aid assistance and Environmental arrangement of the social service of Katingan Regency, KUBE Companion of the lower Katingan subdistrict, and the community that received KUBE assistance in Katingan Sub-district. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of the Joint Group program in Katingan Hilir Sub-district has not been maximized if the members of Kube that have not been properly targeted and implementation that have not fully participated Applicable. Advice (1) Integrated database (BDT) in order to renew each year so that KUBE assistance recipients are more precise (2) there is a regulation in the implementation of KUBE program (4) KUBE Companion in carrying out their duties to apply for the SOP that is in order to achieve Program objectives.

Small RNAs (sRNAs) are one of the key players in the post-transcriptional regulation of bacterial gene expression. These molecules, together with transcription factors, form regulatory networks and greatly influence the bacterial regulatory landscape. Little is known concerning sRNAs and their influence on the regulatory machinery in the genus Corynebacterium, despite its medical, veterinary and biotechnological importance. Here, we expand corynebacterial regulatory knowledge by integrating sRNAs and their regulatory interactions into the transcriptional regulatory networks of six corynebacterial species, covering four human and animal pathogens, and integrate this data into the CoryneRegNet database. To this end, we predicted sRNAs to regulate 754 genes, including 206 transcription factors, in corynebacterial gene regulatory networks. Amongst them, the sRNA Cd-NCTC13129-sRNA-2 is predicted to directly regulate ydfH, which indirectly regulates 66 genes, including the global regulator glxR in C. diphtheriae. All of the sRNA-enriched regulatory networks of the genus Corynebacterium have been made publicly available in the newest release of CoryneRegNet(www.exbio.wzw.tum.de/coryneregnet/) to aid in providing valuable insights and to guide future experiments.

MicroRNAs constitute a class of noncoding small RNAs involved in the posttranscriptional regulation of many biological pathways. In recent years, microRNAs have also been associated with regulation across kingdoms, demonstrating that exogenous miRNAs can function in mammals in a fashion similar to mammalian miRNAs. The growing interest in microRNAs and the increasing amount of literature and molecular and biomedical data available make it difficult to identify records of interest and keep up to date with novel findings. For these reasons, we developed the microRNA Analysis Portal (MAP). MAP selects relevant miRNA-focused articles from PubMed, links biomedical and molecular data and applies bioinformatics modules. At the time of this writing, MAP represents the richest, most complete and integrated database focused on microRNAs. MAP also integrates an updated version of MirCompare (2.0), a computational platform used for selecting plant microRNAs on the basis of their ability to regulate mammalian genes. Both MAP and MirCompare functionalities were used to predict that microRNAs from Moringa oleifera have putative roles across kingdoms by regulating human genes coding for proteins of the immune system. Starting from a selection of 94 human microRNAs, MirCompare selected 6 Moringa oleifera functional homologs. The subsequent prediction of human targets and areas of functional enrichment highlighted the central involvement of these genes in regulating immune system processes, particularly the host-virus interaction processes in hepatitis B, cytomegalovirus, papillomavirus and coronavirus. This case of use showed how MAP can help to perform complex queries without any computational background. MAP is available at http://stablab.uniroma2.it/MAP.
