SEISMIC response ,HISTORIC buildings ,CONSTRUCTION safety measures - Abstract
It is an acknowledged fact that historical centers, given its significance from the cultural and architectural viewpoint, bring further challenges in terms of maintenance planning, survey, and safety assessment. The preparation of an adequate investigation plan and the extent of data to be collected is highly reliant on many aspects, such as the category of the architectonic asset, the importance of the heritage site, or the resources available, for example. In what regards the seismic response assessment of urban cultural heritage assets located in historical centers, the amount and detail of data also depend on this article, scale of assessment, and current state of conservation and occupation. Within this framework, this article provides an overview of the state of the art of investigation techniques currently used in survey operations, which are currently available for improving the knowledge level of urban cultural heritage assets within historical centers, as a supporting tool for the seismic response assessment of such singular assets. Finally, acknowledging the lack of accuracy when evaluating the seismic response of an asset enclosed in aggregate as an isolated structure, this article also focuses on the identification of the main particularities inherent to buildings enclosed in aggregate. This project aims to design a health center for Los Santos Municipality, Santander, so that the population that inhabits the area and the floating population receive timely and efficient care, remarking the local values to generate an optimal architectural proposal for users. This is based on an approach of typological analysis of national and international origins, in which the functional distribution of spaces, circulations, modulation and repetition, the accessibility standard and the materials used are highlighted in order to generate architectural harmony. The data collection in the theoretical framework and the typologies, shows a table of areas for the design of the architectural medical program of a family health center that the Ministry of Health raises about the first level of care proposed in 1995. for which it is essential to study the vernacular architecture of the place to be able to handle a visual language in order to create an identity for the Municipality. This project will be developed in the “El verde” village of Los Santos Municipality thanks to the territorial ordering scheme (TOS) proposed in 2003. The information above is complemented with including in the project the corresponding regulations for the optimal design of a health center. Its implementation goes along with resolution 4445 of 1996, resolution 3100 of 2019 and NTC 6047 on universal accessibility. http://www.ustabuca.edu.co/ustabmanga/presentacion Pregrado

CHLORIDE ions , *REINFORCED concrete , *STEEL corrosion , *SERVICE life , *POLYMETHYLMETHACRYLATE , *PORTLAND cement - Abstract
Chemical aggressions from the environment, such as salt ions, can damage reinforced concrete structures before they reach their service life. These deterioration mechanisms are coupled. The current research on cementitious material's durability has thus gradually shifted to the field of durability damage caused by the combined action of multiple factors. The research in this study concerns the case of combined chloride-sulfate attacks to provide a better understanding of the coupling phenomena by studying the mutual effect of the chloride and sulfate ions on the materials. The effect of the type of cement and curing duration on the chloride-sulfate attack is also investigated. Experimental results based on different investigation techniques (ICP, XRD, NMR, etc.) clearly show the competition between chloride and sulfate ions, and how the physico-chemical involved mechanisms completely change with respect to the cases of an exposure to a single type of ion. • The presence of sulfate ions reduces the chemical fixation of chloride ions. • This increases the possible risks of steel corrosion by increasing the propagation front. • The decalcification of C-S-H in the combined sulfate-chloride attack is drastically reduced. • The presence of sulfate ions decomposes the Friedel salt and turns it into ettringite. Purpose To investigate the agreement in dry eye care management between general practitioners (GPs) and optometrists in the Netherlands. Methods A web-based survey was used to investigate the agreement in symptoms associated with dry eye, causes of developing dry eye, and investigative techniques used in practice, between GPs and optometrists. Additional questions surveyed knowledge of the latest research, and co-management of dry eye disease in primary healthcare. The anonymised questionnaire contained 16 forced-choice questions with Likert scales, and was sent to 1471 general medical practitioners and 870 registered optometrists. The response data was stored on an online database, and was converted directly to text format for analysis using SPSS 21 statistical analysis software. Results 138 optometrists and 93 GPs responded to the survey (Cronbach α = 0.885, optometrists, and 0.833, GPs). Almost no agreement was found for all the questions: a statistically significant difference (Chi-square p < 0.0001) was found between the optometrists and GPs in the use of investigative techniques, associating symptoms, causes of dry eye ( p > 0.0001), and dry eye symptoms, except for ‘burning sensation of the eye’ and ‘irritation of the eye’ as agreed symptoms, and agreement that dry eye is an age-related disease. Conclusions As the optometrist and the GP are the gatekeepers for secondary healthcare, the fundamental differences in the methods of investigation and interpretation of dry eye-related symptoms, the possible cause of developing dry eye disease, and the therapy given by GPs and optometrists in the Netherlands, may have a significant impact on consistency of patient care. This article aims to show the use of a literary short story as a tool in ethnographic and artistic investigation situations. A descent into Edgar Allan Poe’s maelström - which stages a possible image of the abyss (the maelstrom) – allows to address future dangers that are difficult to perceive in the present by proposing a dynamic model that fluctuates between confined worlds and the « becoming-abyss » of worlds. The interweaving of narrative and interviewing techniques offers the possibility of identifying techniques of perception and alert, as well as the necessary attachments in the face of changing and potentially catastrophic developments.

Contemporary marketing is constantly subject to challenges generated by the evolution of market relations. Promoting the holistic conception in marketing determines new theoretical and practical urges in the field. The article shapes conceptual aspects of this new challenge, i.e. neuromarketing. In the context of developing neuroscience - in general - and of neuroeconomy - particularly - one analyzes the main viewpoints of the specialized literature regarding this new field of knowledge. The new border science or simply the management tool in behavioral researches is the key question that authors are confronted with. Investigation techniques used by neuromarketing are subject to a comparative analysis, from the viewpoint of their applications in marketing research. The ideas of the study are completed by examples on applicative issues and the ethics issue in neuromarketing. By causing changes in the physical aspect of marketing researchers, the new field opens a new path to accessing, in depth, the buyer's behavioral decision mechanism. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The injection of grout into multi-leaf stone masonry walls with a sufficient amount of voids can be an effective technique for the seismic strengthening of such walls. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of commercial grouts that fulfilled the adopted criteria, the stone masonry walls of an actual building were strengthened by means of grout injection, using cement and combined cement-lime grouts. The quality and effectiveness of grout injection technique was assessed by non-destructive tests (sonic and radar tests), minor destructive tests (surface and in-depth probing and coring, and the double flat jack test), and destructive test (shear-compressive test), all in situ. Preliminary laboratory tests were also performed on mortar and stone specimens, on the injection grouts, and on cylinders representing the inner core of the strengthened walls. Finally, the seismic resistance of the building was evaluated in non-strengthened and strengthened variants (i.e. after grout injection of the walls with cement or lime-cement grout) by means of non-linear static analysis, using the pushover method. Obtained results show that shear characteristics of the walls (tensile strength and stiffness) depend significantly on the type and properties of the injected grout, i.e. on the grout's ability to achieve a solid bond between the stones and the leaves including the properties (strength and stiffness) of the grout itself. In the case of the type of masonry under consideration, an adequate level of seismic resistance can be achieved also by using combined cement-lime grouts, although cement grout can provide higher seismic resistance. The article discusses a court case wherein the Attorney-General filed an application to the German Federal court of Justice to make a stealth online inquiry on a group of individuals who were suspected of founding a terrorist organization. The investigating judge dismissed the Attorney-General's application. The court has rejected the complaint of the Attorney-General against the decision of the investigating judge because it ruled that a secret online inquiry has no legal basis in the German Code on Criminal Procedure.

This work explores the development of MemTri. A memory forensics triage tool that can assess the likelihood of criminal activity in a memory image, based on evidence data artefacts generated by several applications. Fictitious illegal suspect activity scenarios were performed on virtual machines to generate 60 test memory images for input into MemTri. Four categories of applications (i.e. Internet Browsers, Instant Messengers, FTP Client and Document Processors) are examined for data artefacts located through the use of regular expressions. These identified data artefacts are then analysed using a Bayesian Network, to assess the likelihood that a seized memory image contained evidence of illegal firearms trading activity. MemTri's normal mode of operation achieved a high artefact identification accuracy performance of 95.7% when the applications' processes were running. However, this fell significantly to 60% as applications processes' were terminated. To explore improving MemTri's accuracy performance, a second mode was developed, which achieved more stable results of around 80% accuracy, even after applications processes' were terminated.

A via direta abrange as categorias de processo indagativo (IN), perceptivo (PE), analítico (AN) e experimental (EX), e a via indireta abrange os processos apropriativo-transcritivo (AP-T) e apropriativo-aplicativo (AP-A). AN, IN, AP-T, EX, PE, AP-A. Noutro, de 369 artigos de Enfermagem, corresponde a: IN, AP-T, PE, AN, EX, AP-A. No de Odontologia, com 220 artigos: EX, AN, AP-T, IN, PE, AP-A; e no de Educação Física, com 134 artigos: AN, IN, EX, AP-T, PE, AP-A. This paper aims at characterizing research in Health areas in relation to the processes in use for the gathering of data, and it also proposes a system of categories for their classification. For that reason, 1,741 articles have been selected from fascicles edited between 2001 and 2003, of 46 indexed national journals. The classification system forms a matrix that identifies two ways and six categories of processes: the direct mode, comprising the categories of the inquiring (IN), perceptive (PE), analytic (AN) and experimental (EX) processes, and the indirect mode, comprising the appropriative-transcriptive (AP-T) and the appropriative-applicative (AP-A) processes. The occurrence of each category, in relation to the totality of publications, corresponds to, respectively, 30.0%, 7.0%, 31.1% and 15.7% in the direct mode, and 21.8% and 1.1% in the indirect mode. From the discrimination of process in the decreasing rank of relative frequency corresponding to four different groups of articles results the following profiles: Public/Collective Health group (n=922): AN, IN, AP-T, EX, PE, AP-A; Nursing group (n=369): IN, AP-T, PE, AN, EX, AP-A; Dentistry group (n=220): EX, AN, AP-T, IN, PE, AP-A; Physical Education group (n=134): AN, IN, EX, AP-T, PE, AP-A. According to these tendencies, the consonance scores for the above groups correspond to 8 (Public/Collective Health group), 3 (Nursing group), 6 (Dentistry group) and 7 (Physical Education group). This study suggests the possibility that the identified classification system could be applied to research in other fields as a type of operational characterization.

Background: In May 2018 a revision of the training regulations for German doctors (MWBO) was passed which will significantly impact the medical training for German rheumatologists. The goal of this paper was to create an overview of the status quo in advanced medical training in this field., Methods: A quantitative and qualitative analysis was conducted to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the current continuous education in the field of rheumatology in Germany. The number of newly trained specialists in rheumatology in the years 2015 to 2017 was determined from the regional medical associations. Furthermore, an online survey assessing the training conditions of assistant physicians was conducted. 71 physicians participated in the nationwide survey., Results: In 2015 (53 specialists), in 2016 (43 specialists) and in 2017 (43 specialists) completed their training in the field of rheumatology. The online survey of assistant physicians found that the medical training was graded 3.1 on a scale of 1 to 6 (SD ± 1.1). 19.4% of respondents reported that they had regular mentoring, and 41.7% had on-the-job evaluations. Deficits were evident concerning practical diagnostic skills: 22.8% of the physicians were not practicing joint ultrasonography and another 20% performed it only once a month. As points of criticism 46.6% mentioned a missing structure in training programme and 33.3% noted a lack of supervision. The majority of respondents wanted more training options, supervision and better practical training in ultrasound diagnostics., Conclusion: The nationwide number of newly acquired specialist qualifications (between 2015 and 2017) showed a decreasing trend. It is to be feared that the numbers will continue to stagnate, which increases the importance to invest further in medical education. The online survey also showed that the current medical training in Germany has deficits. Here, the new MWBO could create better guidelines for a structured training, which should be guided by the principle of "Teach to Target".

- Abstract
The quality of carbon anodes used in aluminum industry depends on the raw material properties and the manufacturing process parameters. It is one of the key factors directly related to the aluminum production cost. The degradation in anode quality such as crack formation increases the energy consumption, the environmental emissions, and the smelter’s overall operating cost. The objective of this work is to investigate the formation of cracks in several industrial green anode samples during baking at different heating rates and to determine the influence of this baking parameter on the crack formation. The samples were characterized before and after baking by measuring a number of physical properties (electrical resistivity, density, etc.) which define the final quality of the anode samples. Also, techniques based on ultra-sound and scanning electron microscopy were used to determine the extent of cracking after baking.
