Background: Worldwide, 5-10% of diabetes cases are type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). Despite intensive research, T1DM is presently incurable. Over the past three decades, diabetes management has increasingly benefited from innovations in technologies aimed at diabetes care. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess the quality of life in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes mellitus on insulin pump therapy in Uzbekistan Materials and methods: Twenty children with type 1 diabetes who were on insulin pump therapy participated in the study 12 boys and 8 girls (mean age 12.3 ± 0.7 years). Russian version of the Diabetes Quality of Life for Youth Pediatric Quality of Life (DQOLY-SF) questionnaire was used in our study. Results of the study: impact of diabetes symptoms decreased by 5%, impact of treatment by 8.2%, impact on daily activities improved by 7.7%, relationship with parents became better by 14.3%. Worries associated with diabetes decreased almost twice. Perceptions of health changed for the better side by 2.3%.Overall quality of life assessment showed an improvement in QOL by 7%. Conclusion: the results of the conducted study demonstrate that the use of modern technologies is accompanied by the improvement of not only of glycemic control, but also the quality of life of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. The issues of determining the optimal values of the regulatory parameters of irrigation systems engaged in the cultivation of agricultural crops are considered. Following the requirements of a market economy, the main emphasis is placed on taking into account two types of criteria: maximizing the yield of agricultural crops and minimizing monetary costs. The proposed method for solving the multi-criteria optimization problem is based on the combination of the minimax criterion and the medium-step convolution, which makes it possible to scalarize the vector optimality criterion with access to smooth optimization methods. Concerning the case of priority uncertainty according to particular optimality criteria, an intelligent algorithm is proposed based on the approximation of the preference function of the decision-maker by the fuzzy Mamdani model. The multi-criteria optimization of the irrigation system used for growing cotton results differ favorably from the average values. The one hectare yield in the republic- increased by 2%, monetary costs - reduced by 4.5%. It could be concluded that the developed methodology makes it possible to bypass the computational difficulties that arise when solving problems of multi-criteria optimization of irrigation systems engaged in the cultivation of agricultural crops and to obtain real results in conditions of certainty and uncertainty goals.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is a chronic metabolic disease regarded as insulin resistance and progressive failure of β cells. Beta cells secretagogues are useful to reach satisfactory glycemic control. Glimepiride is a secondgeneration sulfonylurea excites pancreatic beta cells to discharge insulin. Glimepiride may be safer to use in patients with cardiovascular disease due to lack of destructive effects on ischemic preconditioning. It is effective in dropping fasting plasma glucose (FPG), postprandial glucose and glycated hemoglobin levels and is a useful and cost-effective option treatment for the management of T2D. Total 40 patients were selected from OPD setting at RSNPMTS Endocrinology center Ministry of Health Republic of Uzbekistan, and corresponding to criteria for inclusion / exclusion. 10 patients with T2D switched from receiving other forms of Glimepiride (Amaryl) on an identical dose of GlucoNovax in combination with biguanides (Metformin) denoted as group 1. At the same time the dose of biguanides (Metformin) was not altered for the period of the study. 10 patients with T2D switched from receiving other forms of Glimepiride (Amaryl) on an identical dose of GlucoNovax denoted as group 2.10 patients with T2D switched to the drug GlucoNovax from the drug Glibenclamide denoted as group 3. The control group received monotherapy with Amaryl it consist of 10 patients with T2D denoted as group 4. The severity of diabetic complaints in patients receiving the combination drug GlucoNovax with metformin significantly decreased by the end of the observation period and had an inclination to reduction in the 2nd and 3rd groups, along with the control group. 30 patients, receiving the drug Gluco Novax, 7 achieved blood glucose level parameters that corresponding to the high effectiveness of the drug (4 of them from 1st group (GlucoNovax+ Metformin), 1 in the 2nd group, 2 in the 3rd group). 6 patients achieved blood glucose levels parameters, meeting the criteria of moderate effectiveness of the drug (4 of them from 1st group, 1 patient in the T and 1 patient in the 3rd groups). The given result may be, associated with initially high levels of compensation of carbohydrate metabolism, as well as a more effective influence on combination treatment with Metformin. The drug GlucoNovax appears to be an effective hypoglycemic agent in the treatment of T2D with good tolerability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
