I would like to explore a form of truth related to the originary, which functions as specularity and generates a body/space cohabitation where metaphors and pictograms emanate from a common pool of figurative resources, articulated to the sensory data that generate images, the vectors of thought. Truth and falsehood can be understood based on a reversible process, which transits from the specular to the oniric and vice versa because the originary does not disappear. Identified by Freud in the figurability of dreams and defined in reference to Aulagnier and Bion's mention of a particular visual image (Bion, 1992), pictograms justify, in my opinion, the comparison between metaphoric, pictographic and chimeric truths. This is because, in my conception of the chimera (de M'Uzan, 1978; Ithier, 2016), I have discussed the link between pictograms and the chimera, which seems to me to belong to the field, or even the post-Bionian field (Ferro, 2018; Civitarese & Ferro, 2012). The truth of the chimera appears to be inscribed in the unconscious connivance of the traumatic traces of the two protagonists, by the depersonalization process of the analyst. To examine it, three clinical examples will be given. Finally, a reflection on the trope of metaphor, extended to an approach to metaphorization, will question the processes of substitution and resemblance, guarantors of symbolization.
