The aim of this study was to investigate textural characteristics of three traditional dry fermented sausages (Sremski kulen, Lemeški kulen and Petrovská klobása) manufactured in different small-scale facilities in northern Serbia, and to correlate them with physicochemical and sensory characteristics. The sample sausages were supplied by different local traditional producers. The textural characteristics were correlated with physicochemical and sensory characteristics using multiple linear regression analysis and principal component analysis. Differences in physicochemical characteristics reflected even more notable differences in texture characteristics. Regarding regression equations, obtained results showed that moisture content was significant for hardness, springiness and cohesiveness. Hardness was also influenced by fat content, while chewiness was influenced by protein content. Principal component analysis separated samples of Petrovská klobása, as the group with the most reproducible analysed characteristics. Obtained results of statistical analyses should provide knowledge for possible improvements of the traditional production, in a way that these sausages could be produced in different facilities with consistent textural characteristics. Plant production monitoring should be conducted taking into consideration agrarian, economic and other factors. The authors of the paper point out the importance of the intensity of light on plant growing in predominantly urban growing conditions. The authors conducted an experimental research on Narcissus L. The focus was on 8 physical parameters of cultivated plants that are compared to average actual prices on the market of the Republic of Serbia. The contribution of authors is in pointing out an individual physical plant parameter with a decisive impact on its price. Narcissus L. growing under lower natural light intensity indicates that the biggest impact on plant price is that of the flower diameter (β = .555, п≤.001). Plant growing under higher light intensity has an impact on its price predominantly on the basis of the flower diameter (β=2.947, p≤.001) and stalk diameter (β = 2.947, п≤.001).

The survival of a company on the market is possible if there is a good company managing, led by agile and professional management. Company development is a general objective and it can be achieved if the management of the company managed to establish their own style of organization and management. In addition to the aforesaid, the management should have a developed system of internal control within the regular and continuous business operations. Our contribution is reflected in the presentation of mode of managing nursery-garden plant production, using internal control for the benefits of management. We found that the application of detected risks in said production could be presented and illustrated in a range of risks, all of it with the aim of making management decisions that will reduce the overall risk of an agricultural company's business operations.

In this paper, the application of a biopolymer coating based on chitosan was tested. The optimized coating was formed as a two-layer coating, wherein the first layer (which is in contact with the product) was formed of chitosan with emulsified caraway essential oil as an active component, whereas the second layer was formed of chitosan with the addition of beeswax to optimize the moisture barrier of the coating. As a substrate, the traditional dry fermented sausage Petrovská klobása was selected. The coating was applied to the sausage after drying. During two months of storage under controlled conditions, the influence of the coating on the loss of moisture, the oxidative stability and the sensory characteristic of aroma of the control sausage (without the coating) and sausage with the coating was monitored. The results obtained indicate a significant contribution of the applied dual layer chitosan-based coating to the preservation of the sausage quality parameters analyzed.

Multi-group trains have potential to take a substantial segment in realizing wagonload services. Multi-group train formation is a complex marshalling procedure which composes a train by sorting wagons according to their destinations. The order of wagons corresponds to the disposition of destinations on the train route. The determination of rational sorting schedules should be based on a comprehensive approach addressing different quantitative and qualitative indicators which are conflicting and uncertain. In order to address these conditions, we proposed a new approach for fuzzy multi-criteria evaluation of simultaneous train formation methods. In this paper we evaluate simultaneous train formation methods and provide recommendations for the rational application of elementary, triangular and geometric sorting schedules regarding different scales of sorting task complexity.

This research's main goal is to envisage the manifested trends and structure of foreign trade exchange of wine of the Republic of Serbia. A special accent is given to export, realized tendencies and regional destination of wine export. The research had referred to the time period from 2007-2009. The results of the research point out to a fact that the export, approximately annually, values 13,1 million USD. The most significant foreign trade partners, from the export point of view, have been Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Russian Federation. The most important countries regarding the wine import have been the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Italy. The authors of the article point out to a significance of introduction and application of the Book of regulations on appearance, content and way of registration indication posting up for the wine with geographic origin, issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of RS, and it envisages the application of different indications for three quality categories - top-class wines, high-quality wines and regional wines.

This article presents additional support to the theoretical views of Predrag Piper exposed in his work 2002 focussing some hitherto in the linguistic literature unconsidered ways in which noun items help impaling quantification.

Today all linguists are likely to agree that the correct interpretation of an utterance consists of the identification of what was ment by it. It has been pointed out that, besides their literal meaning, utterances may have informationally relevant presupositions or implications, which also need to be identified. The author’s analysis discloses some ways in which Serbian language data provide new support for this view.

In this paper the idea of treating the operational service workers as the elements of technique systems is suggested and the renewal theory is used to forecast the number of accidents caused by human factor. The analytical model is presented and limitations for its application are quoted. Furthermore, the simulation model is developed and the conditions for its use are given. The model observes each worker separately and establishes the exact time of arisen failures, the number of failures at some moment t, time tn, to the nth failure, inconsistency of failure number and total number of failures of the observed population. The model is tested on the sample of 348 engine drivers in PE "Serbian Railways" who have made at leas one accident, in order to research the parameters necessary for using the renewal theory and simulation. .

This paper examines a problem of forming the pick-up trains by conventional methods (the Futhner method and Special method), aiming at establishing basic characteristics of track facilities and values of shunting operations indicators important for evaluation of the effects of these methods application. The problem under consideration has so far not been examined in the literature to a sufficient extent, although in practice it has been proved to be necessary. For this reason, in this work a simulation study has been undertaken the results of which have to give the values and measures for assessing the quality of station/yard operations, as well as the assessment of new-designed station solutions.
