Abstract The objective of the study is to assess impact of systemic disease (SD) status on overall survival and brain metastasis (BM) control, adopting a novel landmark approach to categorize SD among breast cancer (BC) patients. This single institution retrospective study included BCBM patients who have received stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) to brain. Separate endpoints [CNS failure-free survival (cFFS), overall survival (OS)] were analyzed from each Landmark (LM): LM1 (3-months), LM2 (6-months). Patients were categorized into early and non-early progression (EP, NEP) groups depending on SD status before LMs. Median survivals from LM were assessed with Kaplan Meier plots, compared with Log-Rank test. What is that we have learned after ten years of the territorial democratic disparity phenomena? This article seeks to contribute upon the sub-national democratization debates in two aspects: using a conceptual proposal to understand the territorial democratic variation and through a development of an analytic framework identifying three paths toward subnational democratization. This article introduces the non-liberal sub-national structural practices concept, and makes it different to the anti-democratic practices. It also provides examples upon the territorial democratic disparity to illustrate theory arguments.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo general contribuir al debate sobre las relaciones entre el Estado y la sociedad a nivel subnacional y se centra específicamente en el caso de Argentina. Para ello, desarrollamos dos objetivos específicos. En primer lugar, hacemos un planteo teórico y conceptual sobre la importancia de estudiar la diversidad de estructuras económicas que existen a nivel subnacional, para entender el impacto que tienen en las relaciones entre Estado y sociedad. En segundo lugar, proponemos un marco analítico para clasificar a las provincias argentinas según su estructura económica. La clasificación de la estructura económica de las provincias se basa en tres criterios: la fortaleza del sector privado en la economía provincial, el peso relativo del Estado subnacional en la economía, y el tipo de producción que predomina. En base a esto, en las conclusiones hipotetizamos acerca de qué incentivos tienen los actores económicos para vincularse con el Estado provincial de distintas maneras.
