Abstract

Water pollution has been one of the major issues of the present time. It is essential to educate students regarding this issue and its possible solutions. In this article, a demonstration of a typical adsorption-based water cleaning process is presented. The removal of methylene blue (MB) and detergent from an aqueous solution is demonstrated using rice husk as the adsorbent. Quantification of the MB removal was achieved with the help of a smartphone-based colorimetry process. This demonstration would be helpful to students for understanding the adsorption process, calibration curves, and waste management. The kinetic study of adsorption will help students learn various kinetic models and their applications.

Abstract

For Reversible computing, Target technology is yet to become available. Adequate tools are not yet developed for reversible technology. Simulation is still under development. Classical logic synthesis methods and simulation tools can not be used in reversible computing. Because these work on irreversible logic blocks but in reversible computing reversible logic blocks are used for design and implementation. So, we need a simulation platform to analysis and development in this area. So, we worked on this area and developed a GUI based simulator. In the Dissertation work, we undertook simulation of RPGA, reversible alternative to FPGA. We developed a RPGA simulator in our project. RPGA simulator combines the technology of PLD/FPGA/SYSTOLIC array. Our RPGA simulator, implements a given symmetric reversible Circuit on a RPGA structure. We also worked on RPGA structure gates (picton and kerntopf gates) to develop a better RPGA structure. Stepwise execution on RPGA structure is also performed in RPGA simulator. We also designed new algorithms for Truth Table generation and symmetry analysis. The dissertation work aims to develop entire simulator is GUI based and easy to learn that makes it user friendly. Abstract

Triboelectric energy harvester may be used to power small electronic devices for many applications such as temperature and humidity sensors, accelerometers, and GPS tracking devices. This paper has developed the theoretical model of sliding mode triboelectric energy harvester to predict the harvested energy due to mechanical vibration/motion. The model has been solved using the 4th order Runge–Kutta Method. An experimental setup has been fabricated to validate the numerical results. Numerical results reveal that harvested energy depends upon various input factors like the type of motion, external resistance, contact area, width, and dielectric thickness. A parametric study has been presented to maximize the harvested energy with an average acceleration of 35 m/s2 between the triboelectric films (PTFE and Nylon with contact area 10 cm × 10 cm), maximum current, and a voltage obtained is 0.6 µA & 3 V, respectively, and 10 LEDs are lightened. Further, a comparison study has been carried out between contact mode TEH and sliding mode TEH to predict the better mode of energy harvesting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Text classification and other text mining methods use as a baseline a classifier with term weight for the substantial increase in effectiveness. Different term weighting methods are used based on the words, documents and datasets. This study compares the effectiveness of various TF-IDF models and suggests a TF-IDF for text classification.. We proposed a mathematical definition of TF-IDF model based on the calculation and computation of usual TF-IDF, TF-IDF Variants, Term-frequency and Term-occurrence. We perform experiment on Amazon review dataset with different term weighting scheme, proposed approach perform better than on comparably to the other weighting scheme in terms of accuracy performance parameter using different classifier. It is shown in this paper that modifications to the original tf.idf weighting algorithms signif-icantly improve classification performance.

Abstract

The triboelectric energy harvester (TEH) could power small electronic devices, including temperature sensors, GPS trackers, accelerometers, and humidity sensors. An experimental and simulation investigation on the harvesting of sinusoidal mechanical vibration utilizing a triboelectric mechanism is presented in this article. According to numerical results, the amount of energy harvested depends on many input elements such as movement of the upper electrode, external resistance, phase angle, contact area, and thickness of the dielectric layer. The influences of the dual parameters, including the dielectric thickness, contact area, external resistance, phase angle, and vibration frequency on electrical output, were investigated systematically. The stability and durability test are performed for fabricated TEH. Simultaneously, a bridge rectifier has been used to convert produced A.C. signals into D.C. signals. The output voltage is stored in capacitors of various sizes (0.47, 3.3, 10, 22, 47 µF) with no load resistances. The feasibility of the developed TEH is proved by lighting up 35 red Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
