Następnie zostały omówione cele Krajowego Węzła Identyfikacji Elektronicznej, podkreślono znaczenie w upowszechnieniu oraz ułatwieniu korzystania z usług cyfrowych w Polsce. Zwrócono także uwagę na rolę Węzła Transgranicznego zintegrowanego z pozostałymi systemami identyfikacji elektronicznej innych krajów Unii Europejskiej oraz zadania Węzła Komercyjnego. The authors stressed the possibilities resulted from the usage of online services by prior confirmation of the user's identity. The connection of various systems of electronic identification delivers many means of electronic identification. Thanks to them users are authenticated. Then the main aims of National Electronic Identification Node were talked over. Moreover, the importance, in widespreading of exercise of digital services in Polans, was underlined. What is more the attention to Cross-Boarder Node was payed which was integrated with other electronic identification systems in different countries in EU and the tasks of Commercial Hub.

The authors of the paper have introduced into the scope of identification, including the authentication in the health care sector, and highlighted the importance of proper national and international regulations creating new opportunities. They drew the attention to the current need of identification of the patient and the natural person or legal entity, providing medical service. A classic case of confirmation of the identity of the patient in Poland is present during a medical visit. The verification of entitlement takes place with the presentation of the ID based on the eWUŚ electronic system (Electronic Verification of Eligibility of Beneficiaries). The eligibility of the medical practitioner or diagnostician, on the other hand, can be verified in the electronic register of staff members, operating based on proper legal regulations.

The authors have discussed the models of electronic identification systems used in the European countries and the USA. In many countries, the state has defined only the basic standards of functioning for the engaged institutions as part of safety and interoperability guarantee. The trust services market in Europe has been defined, while putting an emphasis on its diversity. The most common trust service offered by entrepreneurs or private and public institutions is the issuance of qualified certificates. On the other hand, the trust services providers very rarely undertake to create qualified electronically registered services, probably due to the complexity of the enterprise. Also the issues of electronic identification security undertaken by the EU states.

The authors have characterized the importance of identification and authentication in health protection. They emphasized that in the health care process information flow is quite complicated. Depending on the type of information, the flow paths may vary. Currently in Poland the information flow in the health sector is not fully synchronized or structured. However, there are many projects implemented or already implemented, which aim to improve and secure the circulation of information in health care. In theory, there is one system regulated legally called the Health Protection Information System. This system has been the subject of a detailed discussion in the article.

The electronic time stamp was introduced due to the danger of time manipulation for electronic transactions. A trust service provider may use time stamps in order to prevent time shifting in the process of electronic transactions carried out between economic entities. The purpose of registered delivery service is to provide proof related to the handling of transmitted data, including proof of sending or receiving data, and to protect transmitted data against the risk of loss, theft, damage or any unauthorised alterations. On the other hand, an authenticated website ensures a visitor that a genuine and legitimate entity is held liable for it. Prześledzili proces uwierzytelnienia z uwzględnieniem sektora służby zdrowia. The authors of this article have characterised the safety levels depending on the nature of data they refer to. Additionally, they have stressed the requirements that must be met in order for an access to medical and other official data to be obtained. They have also discussed the procedure of electronic identification systems notification, while simultaneously paying attention to the necessity of creating a register of reliable systems using proven means of electronic identification accepted within the European Union and designed by both public and private entities. Furthermore, they have traced the authentication process, and in particular the one conducted in the health service sector.
