Bangladesh has been experiencing serious environmental degradation for last few years specially for textile and apparel industries. The objective of this research is to evaluate the level of environmental education of outgoing textile undergraduate students and their perception about the environmental degradation. A questionnaire was developed and administered to textile outgoing and 1st semester students to assess their environmental concern, knowledge and responsibility. Two sample mean test was applied to differentiate the level of understanding of these two groups of students. Binary logistic regression was used to identify the most potential source to build up the consciousness among the students about pollution. The multiple regression analysis was done to assess the comparative role of knowledge and concern for showing the responsibility towards the environment. The result indicated that the level of understanding of outgoing students on environmental sustainability is not up to the mark, there is potential for further enhancing environmental learning. It revealed that responsibility toward the environment is directly proportional to knowledge and concern. Findings also suggested that the university and the electronic media have a significant role to increase the environmental awareness among the students.

Natural fiber‐reinforced composites have emerged as a promising alternative in various industries, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and civil engineering, owing to their eco‐friendly nature and favorable mechanical properties. However, challenges such as low thermal stability and high moisture absorption limit their widespread use. To overcome these limitations, surface modifications such as mercerization, benzoylation, silane treatment, and acetylation have been extensively explored. Hybrid composites (HCs), combining natural and synthetic fibers, offer a compelling solution by harnessing the unique properties of both materials. This review comprehensively examines the types of fibers and polymers utilized in HCs, along with various chemical treatments to enhance their properties. Additionally, a detailed analysis of different manufacturing processes for HCs is provided, including hand lay‐up, vacuum‐assisted resin transfer molding, autoclave molding, injection molding, and compression molding. Furthermore, this review highlights recent advancements in HCs and their applications. Significant outcomes include a deeper understanding of the synergistic effects between natural and synthetic fibers, improved mechanical and thermal properties, and enhanced applications in diverse industries. The potential of HCs as a sustainable and high‐performance material solution emphasizes the importance of ongoing research and innovation in this field to overcome existing challenges and unlock new possibilities for composite engineering. Textile coloration is a complex process involving the interaction of dye molecules with fibers in a dye bath. Synthetic dyes pose environmental hazards, leading to increased interest in natural dyes sourced from plants, animals, and minerals. However, natural dyes often require mordants for application to textiles. Despite their eco‐friendliness, natural dyes can exhibit poor wash fastness on fabrics, necessitating further research to enhance their performance. This study investigates the use of mahogany sawdust extract as a natural dye for cotton coloration, focusing on the enhancement of fastness properties through metallic mordants and associated environmental risks. Mahogany sawdust, rich in flavonoids and tannins, shows promise as a sustainable alternative to synthetic dyes. The dyeing process involves the extraction of natural dyes from sawmill bio‐waste and subsequent application onto cotton fabrics using various metallic mordants. Evaluation of colorfastness properties, color strength, color coordinates, tensile strength, FTIR, and SEM analysis provides insights into the dye‐fiber interactions and fabric properties. Environmental risk assessment considers metal exhaustion onto fabric surfaces, residual metal concentrations in mordant baths, and metal content in dyeing wastewater. Overall, this study contributes to the development of sustainable dyeing processes and highlights the importance of environmental considerations in textile coloration. Palladium nanoparticles on ethylenediamine-grafted functionalized chromium-based metal organic framework (Pd-ED-MIL-101) was tested for the hydrogenation of styrene oxide to 2-phenylethanol, the key ingredient of the rose essence. The catalyst was found as an excellent heterogeneous recyclable catalyst for selective hydrogenation of styrene oxide to 2-phenylethanol (100% conversion and ∼100% selectivity) within 2 h in methanol with a catalyst loading only 0.25 mol % palladium at ambient pressure and temperature under molecular hydrogen. If the catalyst loading increases to 0.50 mol % palladium, the conversion time reduces to 1 h. In repeated runs (tested for 5 cycles) showed no loss of activity and selectivity of the catalyst. To the best of our knowledge, the performance of the present catalyst is one of the best compared to all other reported catalysts in terms of conversion, selectivity, reaction time, reaction conditions, purification, catalyst stability, catalyst loading, catalyst recyclability, safety and convenience. Individual’s start-ups and large corporations in the health-care sector have new opportunities to outsource data and outsourcing computation offers to cloud computing. Although the cloud computing paradigm presents users with interesting and cost-effective opportunities still in its early stage, and using the cloud introduces with new obstacles. An another issue is the security of cloud data, which may be affected the data particularly in the case of health-care systems that store and process sensitive data and is outsourced to a cloud computing system. Although there has been significant progress in the development of health services, there are still issues that need to be settled regarding, integrity, the security, large-scale deployment, service integration, and confidentiality of sensitive medical data. To ensure that sensitive medical data is captured, stored, and consumed securely, an information sharing policy syntax based on rules, the data capture and auto identification reference platform features a Single Point of Contact as well as data buckets that are hosted on a cost-effective cloud infrastructure and scalable. There has been recently a worldwide interest in the production and application of natural dyes due to the growing awareness about cleaner surroundings and healthy lifestyle. The new sources of natural dyes increase the scope of textile dying with eco-friendly dyes and able to alleviate the adverse effects in this sector. Reported here is a new natural dye that was extracted from the leaves of date palm using simple aqueous extraction process. The natural dye extract obtained from date leaves was used in dyeing of cotton and silk fabrics with different mordants by applying different mordanting techniques and the properties of the dyed fabrics were evaluated by their color strengths and fastness properties. A reddish shade was observed when used the dye extract only; however, a variety of shades were achieved when different mordants and mordanting technique were used. In most of the cases, impressive color strengths and fastness properties were observed for dyed fabrics. These results are very attractive from a practical point of view for eco-friendly dying. The stereoretentive nature of dinuclear elimination and transfer of [Pd(sub 2)L(sub n)](super 2+) moietes between 1,3,5-trienes was demonstrated. The observed highly stereoretentive dynamic behavior of Pd-Pd moietes on 1,3,5-trienes represents the pairwise behavior of a dinuclear metal moiety on the pi-plane of sp(super 2)-carbon framework.

In this study, the dyeing properties of a natural dye, extracted from the leaves of mimusops elengi Linn, on cotton and silk fabric were examined. Leaves are always an attractive choice as a raw material for natural dyes since they are readily available and reproducible compare to other parts of the plant without damaging the trees. The dye component in leaves of mimusops elengi is easily extractable by aqueous extraction process and the amount of achievable crude dye is exceptionally good. The dye extracts itself as well as mixing with various mordant including a natural one were applied to the fabrics by using pre-, simultaneous- and post-mordanting techniques. Impressive results were found for the color strength and fastness properties of dyed fabrics. Various shades and excellent color fastness of dyed samples were observed. Therefore, the eco-friendly natural dye extracted from the leaves of mimusops elengi can be an attractive choice for dying the cotton and silk fabrics with various elegant shades. The reaction of [Pd2(CH3CN)6][BF4]2 (1) with 1,3,5-hexatriene, 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene (DPHT), or 2,2,9,9-tetramethyl-3,5,7-decatriene (DBHT) afforded bi-η³-aIlyIdipaIladium complexes 3, 4, or 5. The reaction of 1 and DBHT proceeded in a stereospecific (syn) manner when the reaction was carried out in CD2Cl2 under aerobic conditions, while a mixture of two diastereomers was formed under N2 atmosphere. The two diastereomers (5-E,Z,E-antifacial and 5-E,E,E-antifacial) formed from DBHT were isolated, and the structure of 5-E,Z,E-antifacial, which was kinetically formed from the reaction of 1 and (E,E,F)-DBHT, was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Addition of phosphine ligands (PPh3 or dppm) to the dinuclear adduct 5-E,Z,E-antifacial or 5-E,E,E-antifacial in acetonitrile resulted in the stereospecific (syn) elimination of [Pd2(PPh3)2(CH3CN)4][BF4]2 (2) or [Pd2(dppm)2(CH3CN)2][BF4]2 (6). During the PPh3-induced dinuclear elimination, the phosphine adducts 7 that retain bi-η³-allyldipalladium structure were observed initially. The phosphine adduct generated from 5-E,E,E-antifacial was isolated and structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis. The reaction of 1 and DPHT in CH2Cl2 afforded unique dipalladium sandwich compounds [Pd2(μ-η³:η³-DPHT)2][BF4]2 (8). Interconversion between the sandwich complexes and half-sandwich complexes occurred in a stereoretentive manner. The structure of the sandwich complex 8-E,Z,E formed from 4-E,E,E-antifacial and (E,Z,E)-DPHT was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Transfer of the dipalladium moiety [Pd2(CH3CN)4]2+ from DPHT ligand of 4-E,E,E-antifacial onto DBHT ligand proceeded in a stereoretentive manner. The observed stereoretentive dinuclear process is featured by the pairwise behavior of two palladium atoms sitting on the triene π-plane. In the dinuclear elimination, the two Pd atoms that are initially in the divalent state and bound on the opposite faces (antifacial) come to the synfacial positions to form a Pd-Pd bond prior to dissociation.
