13. Vehicle accident detector and indicator using IOT.

Abstract

There are lots of advancements in recent technologies. But these advancements have both boon and bane on the human's life. The first car was invented by "Carl Friedrich Benz", aGerman automotive engineer in the year 1885, and received a patent in the year 1886 which is officially considered the birth of automobiles. Since the birth of automobiles in the year 1886, the automobile industry had undergone a dramatic change and advancement. Motorization has always been a 2-sided coin. Even though it has enhanced the lives of many individuals it also led to many casualties due to the high speed and rash driving. Many people die in road accidents due to the unavailability of first aid within a short span of time. In any road accident, the first 4hours are considered as the "Golden hours". There will be a huge surge in the death rate if first aid is given to the casualties within this "Golden hour". The main objective of this project is to provide an antidote to those drawbacks and provide the required assistance within this "Golden Hour", by gathering information about the accident probabilities. When this calculation meets the required or prescribed criteria, an SMS containing the geolocation information of the accident site is triggered by the ARDUINO with the help of the GSM (Global System by Mobile) and GPS (Global Positioning System) modules. The SMS is sent to the numbers which are stored in the ARM controller, these contacts include the numbers of Ambulance, Police, and their family members. This system helps in reducing the time taken between the occurrence of the accident and the arrival of medical assistance to the accident site. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Puntius chola (Hamilton, 1822) is a small freshwater indigenous fish with food and ornamental value belonging to the family Cyprinidae found in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. Due to the selective exotic species and the culture of Indian big carp, the species have gradually diminished in India. Evaluating P. chola's optimum selection, induced breeding, embryonic, and larval development is the goal of the current study. The optimum dose was selected through the trial-and-error method applied 5 doses (0.25 ml/kg, 0.50 ml/kg, 1 ml/kg, 1.5 ml/kg, 2 ml/kg body weight) of synthetic hormone, ovatide to both sexes. The study reveals that the optimum dose of synthetic hormone ovatide @ 1.5 ml/kg body weight for females and males is effective for induced breeding of Puntius chola. At the optimum dose, fecundity, fertilization, and hatching rates were 106308±3075, 79.28±0.589%, and 78.03±0.495%, respectively. The physicochemical parameters of water have been enlisted for proper induced breeding. The outcomes of this research will enable P. chola to have a more decorative design and assist in its protection by encouraging it to reproduce and survive on its own in the wild. Additionally, the study will aid in community members' economic development.

Abstract

Dark resonating states render an important role in curtailing the dominant radiative losses in various photonic structures like metamaterials (MMs), photonic crystals, waveguides, etc. Currently, radiative losses are the major degrading factors toward the strong confinement of electromagnetic radiation for MMs' applications in sensing, imaging, filters, modulators, nonlinear studies, etc. Generally, the dark states cannot be excited through the direct interaction of electromagnetic radiations with the metastructures. However, indirect excitation at suitable structural asymmetries can trigger the evolution of dark resonating states or trapped modes. In this work, we have experimentally demonstrated mode hybridization of such dark (sub-radiant) resonating states without the direct involvement of interacting bright (super-radiant) states in a metasurface consisting of asymmetric split-ring resonators. Our study further reveals that the lattice mode plays a crucial role in determining the line shapes of the split (hybridized) modes. Such tuning of dark resonance modes can find potential applications in metasurfaces-based sensing, non-linear devices besides other potential applications desiring multi-channel strong field confinement. Abstract

Due to its high viscosity, heavy crude oil (HCO) is often transported through pipelines as concentrated oil‐in‐water emulsion. Here, emulsions were prepared with different concentrations of polyoxyethylene (5) sorbitan monooleate to study their flow characteristics through a horizontal pipeline. Laminar flow of HCO and an emulsion with 75 % (v/v) HCO and 25 % (v/v) water was simulated by using Ansys Fluent 2019 R3 to study the effect of temperature, volumetric flow rate, and surfactant concentration on pressure drop, dynamic viscosity, hydrodynamic entrance length, flow behavior index, consistency index, and pumping power requirement. Laminar flow of the emulsion was simulated by using a two‐phase mixture flow model considering the emulsion as a pseudo‐homogeneous mixture, while the flow of HCO was simulated as viscous laminar flow. Flow behavior index and consistency index were predicted from experimental viscosity data and used to predict pressure drop and, hence, the pumping power requirement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
