This research paper focuses on enhancing the surface characteristics of the 316 stainless steel (SS316) alloy, including roughness, microhardness, and corrosion resistance. Where the application of ND-YAG laser technology, a highly relevant and timely area, was investigated deeply. The Q-switching Nd: YAG Laser was used with varying laser energy levels within the context of the laser shock peening (LSP) technique. The corrosion resistance of the 316 ss alloy is evaluated in a corrosive environment of 500 mL of saliva (with a pH of 5.6) through electrochemical corrosion testing. Corrosion rate was determined based on the analysis of polarization curves. The outcomes of this research reveal that as the laser energy was increased, there was a noticeable enhancement in the mechanical properties of the 316 ss alloy’s surface. Importantly, the corrosion rate experiences a significant reduction, decreasing from 4.94 mm/yr to 3.59 mm/yr following laser shock peening (LSP) application.

One of the adverse effects of industrialization is noise pollution, which disturbs the mental health and tranquility of urban residents and is the source of numerous social tensions. Twenty stations in the central areas of Almaty with varying uses during the morning, afternoon, and evening rush hours were measured for this study. The objectives of this paper include determining sound indices, identifying potential sound sources, and calculating the relative contribution of each to the overall urban noise level. Additionally, 400 questionnaires were distributed to individuals to assess noise pollution’s effects on individuals. The average maximum value of TNI (Traffic Noise Index) in residential and commercial use is 85.4 dB(A), and the maximum value of Leq (Equivalent continuous sound level) in commercial use is 86 dB(A). In addition, 50 city bus drivers were examined to determine the impact of noise in this environment. The results revealed that as Leq increases, the number of unsafe acts increases. The questionnaires revealed that people are significantly more dissatisfied with noise pollution at stations with higher sound levels.

Noise pollution is one of the environmental factors that severely threaten humans’ mental, emotional, and physical health. One of the most significant sources of this pollution is the noise generated by traffic and urban transportation, mainly the urban railway. This paper assessed noise pollution at stations, passenger cars, and the train operator’s cabin. Four consecutive Baghdad subway stations were used to collect information. There were three modes of measurement: entering the station, stopping at the station, and leaving the station. Leq (equivalent continuous noise level) at station 3 is more significant than at three other stations, confirming that the initial hypothesis regarding the noise pollution rate was correct. Among the studied stations, Station 1 was the quietest. The stations with the highest and lowest Leq values are 3 and 2, respectively. The Leq values recorded in the cabin are within the permissible range. The highest Leq value measured at station 3 is 81.87 dB(A), and the lowest Leq value measured at station 2 is 61.24 dB(A). The operator’s cabin at station 3 has the highest measured Leq of 70.26 dB(A), and station 1 has the lowest measured Leq of 61.5 dB(A). While the measured value in the operator’s cabin was within the acceptable range, the noise levels in the wagons were above standard.

In this study, magnetic spinel copper ferrite (CuFe2O4) nanostructures were eco-friendly synthesized using Nasturtium officinale extract. Physicochemical properties of these nanostructures were determined by transmission electron microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometry, and energy dispersive X-ray mapping analysis. XRD patterns conform to the CuFe2O4 formation. SEM results demonstrated ceramic spinel CuFe2O4 nanostructures with spherical surface morphologies. The cytotoxicity effect of CuFe2O4 nanostructures against rat pheochromocytoma (PC12) cells was evaluated based on MTT assay. The magnetic nanostructures had low toxicity at a concentration of 250 µg/mL. It appears that these nanostructures can be considered as suitable candidates for drug delivery and other biomedical applications, because of their low toxicity effects.

Central venous catheterization has an essential role in the management of patients who are critically ill, and patients who have special operative interventions. In general, the bigger the vein cross sectional area and diameter the easier the catheterization will be. There are different maneuvers to increase internal jugular vein caliber. These include; passive legs elevation, hepatic or abdominal compression, Trendelenburg position, Valsalva maneuver, and positive end-expiratory pressure. The objective of the study is to evaluate the effect of passive legs elevation and hepatic compression on the diameter and the cross-sectional area of the right internal jugular vein. This prospective study included 80 adult patients ASA class I and II. Patients who had any contraindication to the passive legs elevation or hepatic compression, or those with disruption of the local neck anatomy; were excluded from the study. Patients were evaluated for their right internal jugular vein cross-sectional area and diameter by the use of linear high frequency two-dimensional ultrasound. Each patient has three stages of measurement; supine, Passive legs elevation at (30o-45o) for one minute, and hepatic compression. Of the 80 patients, 70% were males, the age range was (19–55 years) with a mean of (37.75±12.16) years, and the majority were overweight. The maximum diameter was achieved during hepatic compression with a stepwise statistically significant increase of about (0.44±0.27 cm) from the baseline in supine position, when compared to only (0.26±0.21 cm) during passive legs elevation. The cross-sectional area is significantly and maximally increased from the baseline of (0.93 ± 0.59 cm2), during hepatic compression. The increase in the diameter and the cross sectional area was more significant in males irrespective to age and weight. In conclusion, Hepatic compression is significantly superior to the passive legs elevation in achieving more right internal jugular vein diameter and cross-sectional area.

Laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation are constantly connected with a reflex sympathetic reaction bringing about tachycardia, hypertension and dysrrhythmias. This may cause harm in high hazard patients. Different pharmacological methodologies have been utilized to limit or weaken such a reaction. This study aimed to assess the hemodynamic changes following laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation following propofol induction utilizing a standard anesthesia procedure and to analyze the capability of lignocaine and fentanyl in lessening the cardiovascular reaction to laryngoscopy and intubation amid general anesthesia. Sixty patients aged between eighteen to fifty years, of either gender and ASA class I, weighing between forty to ninety kilograms were planned for elective procedures and were haphazardly allotted into three groups of 20 each. Induction of anesthesia was standard for all patients who received propofol 2mg/kg i.v. and were relaxed with succinylcholine 1mg/kg i.v. The first group received 10cc. normal saline, the second group had fentanyl 2µg/kg i.v. bolus and the third group got lignocaine 1.5mg/kg 3 minutes before laryngoscopy and intubation. Heart rate and blood pressure were recorded noninvasively on arrival to the theatre and considered as a base line record, just after induction and then 1,3,5,7 and 10 minutes following intubation. There were no difference in statistical analysis between the groups regarding number, gender, age, weight and ASA class. There is significant rise in heart rate, systolic BP, diastolic BP and MAP in control group particularly in the first 3 minutes following intubation (p0.05). Both fentanyl and lignocaine were equally effective in prevention of major rise in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial blood pressure. In conclusion, Fentanyl 2µg/kg and lignocaine 1.5mg/kg are both equally effective for attenuation of laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation pressor response. Abstract Unexpected difficult endotracheal intubation remains the main concern of anesthesiologists. This study aimed to compare validity and role of 7 bedside techniques of assessment used in predicting difficult intubation. This prospective study included 80 patients scheduled for surgery. Before induction of anesthesia, bedside tests for predicting difficult intubation were done, these tests are: Prayer sign, Thyromental distance, Mallampati test, The inter incisor distance, Palm print test, Upper lip bite test, and Wilson scoring system. During induction of anesthesia, laryngoscopic view was evaluated. Values for each test were calculated and compared. The results showed that, the highest sensitivity (62.5%) was for Mallampati and thyromental distance but despite that, they differed in their specificity and predictive values. Upper lip bite was 12.5% sensitive but had one of the highest specificity alongside with Mallampati test. Thyromental distance was 34.7% specific. Mallampati classes of more than class I was strongly associated with difficult intubation. The mouth gap of more than 4 cm was marginally associated with difficult intubation. The predictor Wilson showed a significant association with difficult intubation if the score exceeded 3.5. The upper lip bite of more than class I was slightly associated with difficult intubation. In conclusion, Mallampati classification and thyromental distance are superior to other available tests to predict difficult intubation, performing these two tests alone is relatively adequate to predict intubation difficulty. Breast cancer is a multifaceted and prevalent malignancy, impacting a considerable proportion of women globally. Numerous signaling pathways intricately regulate cellular functions such as growth, proliferation, and survival. Among the various regulators, lncRNAs have emerged as significant players despite their inability to encode proteins. An expanding body of literature underscores the pivotal roles lncRNAs play in cancer biology, particularly in the context of breast cancer. Autophagy, the cellular process dedicated to the degradation and recycling of cellular components, is now recognized as a crucial factor in cancer initiation and progression. The interplay between lncRNAs, various signaling pathways, and autophagy in the pathophysiology of breast cancer remains an active area of investigation. Researchers have identified specific lncRNAs that are dysregulated in breast cancer patients, influencing the modulation of key signaling pathways. Using experimental methodologies and bioinformatics approaches, multiple lncRNAs have been elucidated, providing deeper insights into their contributions to breast cancer pathogenesis and metastatic processes. In summary, the pathophysiological landscape of breast cancer is characterized by the complex interactions involving lncRNA-mediated autophagy. Overcoming cancer and enhancing patient survival are becoming increasingly challenging due to the uncontrolled growth and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells. In order to provide effective cancer treatment and minimize the malignancy of cancer cells, it is necessary to understand how complex signaling networks contribute to their invasion and proliferation. The signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) is a promising target due to its involvement in various cellular functions, including apoptosis, immunosuppression, cell invasion, migration, and proliferation. Dysregulation of STAT3 signaling is associated with diseases, particularly colorectal cancer. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), a subset of non-coding RNAs, are essential for the progression, apoptosis, and metastasis of CRC as they regulate key signaling pathways such as STAT3 signaling and contribute to gene regulation at the epigenetic, transcriptional, and post-transcriptional levels. Moreover, lncRNAs have a key function in regulating immune cells function through STAT3. In this study, we comprehensively reviewed the regulatory roles of different lncRNAs on STAT3 and the mutual effects of this pathway in various aspects of carcinogenesis, including proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis, drug resistance, and angiogenesis. A major advance in cancer treatment has been the development and refinement of cancer immunotherapy. The discovery of immunotherapies for a wide range of cancers has revolutionized cancer treatment paradigms. Despite relapse or refractory disease, immunotherapy approaches can prolong the life expectancy of metastatic cancer patients. Multiple therapeutic approaches and agents are currently being developed to manipulate various aspects of the immune system. Oncolytic viruses, cancer vaccines, adoptive cell therapies, monoclonal antibodies, cytokine therapies, and inhibitors of immune checkpoints have all proven successful in clinical trials. There are several types of immunotherapeutic approaches available for treating cancer, and others are being tested in preclinical and clinical settings. Immunotherapy has proven successful, and many agents and strategies have been developed to improve its effectiveness. The analysis focuses on the consequences of lncRNA suppression through siRNA on signaling pathways associated with cancer, connecting theoretical understanding to practical applications. An evaluation of ongoing clinical trials and applications contributes to the discourse by revealing the potential for siRNA-mediated interventions to be practiced. Exosomes are membrane-bound vesicles secreted by diverse cell types, serving as crucial mediators in intercellular communication and significantly influencing cancer development. Exosomes facilitate complex signaling processes in the tumor microenvironment for immunomodulation, metastasis, angiogenesis, and treatment resistance. Notably, long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), a class of non-coding RNAs, engage with mRNA, DNA, proteins, and miRNAs to modulate gene expression through multiple mechanisms, including transcriptional, post-transcriptional, translational, and epigenetic pathways. The quantitative dynamics of exosomal lncRNAs show a consistent variation correlating with cancer progression and metastasis, suggesting their potential utility as biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Additionally, exosomal lncRNAs can yield critical insights into therapeutic responses in patients. The identification of exosomal lncRNAs as indicators for various cancer subtypes presents them not only as prognostic tools but also as promising therapeutic targets. Histone acetylation is the process by which histone acetyltransferases (HATs) add an acetyl group to the N-terminal lysine residues of histones, resulting in a more open chromatin structure. Histone acetylation tends to increase gene expression more than methylation does. In the central nervous system (CNS), histone acetylation is essential for controlling the expression of genes linked to cognition and learning. Histone deacetylases (HDACs), "writing" enzymes (HATs), and "reading" enzymes with bromodomains that identify and localize to acetylated lysine residues are responsible for maintaining histone acetylation. By giving animals HDAC inhibitors (HDACis), it is possible to intentionally control the ratios of "writer" and "eraser" activity, which will change the acetylation of histones. In addition to making the chromatin more accessible, these histone acetylation alterations re-allocate the targeting of "readers," including the transcriptional co-activators, cAMP response element-binding protein (CBP), and bromodomain-containing protein 4 (Brd4) in the CNS. Conclusive evidence has shown that HDACs slow down the progression of Alzheimer's disease (AD) by reducing the amount of histone acetylation, decreasing the activity of genes linked to memory, supporting cognitive decline and Amyloid beta (Aβ) protein accumulation, influencing aberrant tau phosphorylation, and promoting the emergence of neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs). As the study progresses, it explores the specific contributions of each SOX family member. The significant roles of the SOX family in the oncogenic environment are well-recognized, highlighting a range of regulatory mechanisms that influence tumor progression. In brain, lung, and colorectal cancers, SOX types like SOX2, SOX3, and SOX4 promote the migration, proliferation, and angiogenesis of cancer cells. Conversely, in pancreatic, gastric, and breast cancers, SOX types, including SOX1, SOX9, and SOX17 inhibit various cancer cell activities such as proliferation and invasion. The rapid increase in global waste, driven by population growth, has raised significant environmental concerns. Among different types of wastes, green biowastes (BWs) containing organic matter have attracted considerable attention. The conversion of BW, particularly from herbaceous and animal sources, to carbon-based materials (CBMs) introduces a suitable platform for waste management and resource recovery. Furthermore, this strategy creates valuable materials from low-value waste for various applications, sensing included. The abundance of these wastes provides a sustainable and affordable raw material and enhances the feasibility of fabricating these materials. Generally, the presence of carbon in their structure can present an accessible resource for producing different carbon materials, especially carbon dots (CDs), carbon quantum dots (CQDs), and graphene quantum dots (GQDs). The performance of these CBMs has been enhanced by optimizing synthesis processes, incorporating functional groups, and integrating various materials. The synthesized CBMs possess desirable features, such as biocompatibility, excellent physical, chemical, and electrical conductivity. These materials have been used in different sensors such as electrochemical (EC) and optical sensors for presenting high performance sensing probes with several benefits such as real-time monitoring, rapid detection, and high sensitivity. The first section of this review is dedicated to the preparation of CBMs, derived from green BWs, by different synthesized methods for use in different fields including biomedical application, food safety, and environmental monitoring. Tumor recurrence after curative therapy and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells' resistance to conventional therapies is the reasons for the worse clinical results of HCC patients. A tiny population of cancer cells with a strong potential for self-renewal, differentiation, and tumorigenesis has been identified as cancer stem cells (CSCs). The discovery of CSC surface markers and the separation of CSC subpopulations from HCC cells have been made possible by recent developments in the study of hepatic (liver) CSCs. Hepatic CSC surface markers include epithelial cell adhesion molecules (EpCAM), CD133, CD90, CD13, CD44, OV-6, ALDH, and K19. CSCs have a significant influence on the development of cancer, invasiveness, self-renewal, metastasis, and drug resistance in HCC, and thus provide a therapeutic chance to treat HCC and avoid its recurrence. Therefore, it is essential to develop treatment approaches that specifically and effectively target hepatic stem cells. Given this, one potential treatment approach is to use particular small interfering RNA (siRNA) to target CSC, disrupting their behavior and microenvironment as well as changing their epigenetic state. Inflammation and autoimmune diseases (AD) are common outcomes of an overactive immune system. Inflammation occurs due to the immune system reacting to damaging stimuli. Exosomes are being recognized as an advanced therapeutic approach for addressing an overactive immune system, positioning them as a promising option for treating AD. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) release exosomes that have strong immunomodulatory effects, influenced by their cell of origin. MSCs-exosomes, being a cell-free therapy, exhibit less toxicity and provoke a diminished immune response compared to cell-based therapies. Exosomal non-coding RNAs (ncRNA), particularly microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are intricately linked to various biological and functional aspects of human health. Exosomal ncRNAs can lead to tissue malfunction, aging, and illnesses when they experience tissue-specific alterations as a result of various internal or external problems. This study explores the critical role of inhibitors targeting the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway in breast cancer research and treatment. The mTOR pathway, a central regulator of cellular processes, has been identified as a crucial factor in the development and progression of breast cancer. The essay explains the complex molecular mechanisms through which mTOR inhibitors, such as rapamycin and its analogs, exert their anticancer effects. These inhibitors can stop cell growth, proliferation, and survival in breast cancer cells by blocking critical signaling pathways within the mTOR pathway. Background: Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) is a widely recognized spice and medicinal plant that has gained significant attention for its potential health benefits. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the beneficial applications of turmeric in improving health and egg production in layers., Objective: The objective of this review is to assess the current scientific literature on the effects of turmeric supplementation in layer diets and evaluate its impact on layer health and egg production., Methods: A systematic search was conducted in Google Scholar database to identify relevant studies published in peer-reviewed journals. Studies investigating the effects of turmeric or its bioactive compound curcumin on layer health and egg production were included. Data on various parameters, including immune function, reproductive performance, egg quality and production parameters, were extracted and analysed., Results: Turmeric contains a bioactive compound called curcumin, which possesses antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and immunomodulatory effects. These properties have been extensively studied and have shown promising results in enhancing layer health and performance. Turmeric supplementation has been reported to improve the overall immune response in layers, reducing the incidence and severity of infectious diseases. It has also been shown to have positive effects on gut health by modulating the gut microbiota composition, improving nutrient absorption and reducing digestive disorders. Furthermore, studies have demonstrated that turmeric supplementation in layer diets can improve egg weight, shell quality, yolk colour and egg production rates. The mechanisms underlying these effects involve the antioxidant properties of turmeric, which protect the reproductive organs, enhance ovarian function and improve reproductive performance., Conclusion: The findings underscore the potential of turmeric as a natural, cost-effective and sustainable intervention for improving layer well-being, egg quality and productivity. The most prevalent inflammatory arthritis and a leading contributor to disability is rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Although it may not have arrived in Europe until the 17th century, it was present in early Native American communities several thousand years ago. Exosomes released by mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are highly immunomodulatory due to the origin of the cell. As a cell-free therapy, MSCs-exosomes are less toxic and elicit a weakened immune response than cell-based therapies. Exosomal noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) are closely associated with a number of biological and functional facets of human health, especially microRNAs (miRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). Numerous recent studies have examined the impact epigenetics-including DNA methylation-has on spermatogenesis and male infertility. Differential methylation of several genes has been linked to compromised spermatogenesis and/or reproductive failure. Neoadjuvant targeting of tumor angiogenesis has been developed and approved for the treatment of malignant tumors. However, vascular disruption leads to tumor hypoxia, which exacerbates the treatment process and causes drug resistance. In addition, successful delivery of therapeutic agents and efficacy of radiotherapy require normal vascular networks and sufficient oxygen, which complete tumor vasculopathy hinders their efficacy. In view of this controversy, an optimal dose of FDA-approved anti-angiogenic agents and combination with other therapies, such as immunotherapy and the use of nanocarrier-mediated targeted therapy, could improve therapeutic regimens, reduce the need for administration of high doses of chemotherapeutic agents and subsequently reduce side effects. Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are associated with the tumor microenvironment (TME). CSCs induce tumorigenesis, tumor recurrence and progression, and resistance to standard therapies. Indeed, CSCs pose an increasing challenge to current cancer therapy due to their stemness or self-renewal properties. The molecular and cellular interactions between heterogeneous CSCs and surrounding TME components and tumor-supporting immune cells show synergistic effects toward treatment failure. In the immunosuppressive TME, CSCs express various immunoregulatory proteins, growth factors, metabolites and cytokines, and also produce exosomes, a type of extracellular vesicles, to protect themselves from host immune surveillance. Among these, the identification and application of CSC-derived exosomes could be considered for the development of therapeutic approaches to eliminate CSCs or cancer, in addition to targeting the modulators that remodel the composition of the TME, as reviewed in this study. Here, we introduce the role of CSCs and how their interaction with TME complicates immunotherapies, and then present the CSC-based immunotherapy and the limitation of these therapies. The understanding of the biology of this disease and the identification of oncogenic driver alterations have significantly transformed the landscape of therapeutic approaches. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a crucial role in regulating various physiological and pathological processes through diverse molecular mechanisms. Among these lncRNAs, lncRNA H19, initially identified as an oncofetal transcript, has garnered significant attention due to its elevated expression in numerous tumors. Extensive research has confirmed its involvement in tumorigenesis and malignant progression by promoting cell growth, invasion, migration, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, metastasis, and therapy resistance. The term acute respiratory disease encompasses a wide range of acute lung diseases, which in recent years have been ranked among the top three deadly diseases in the world. Since conventional treatment methods, including the use of anti-inflammatory drugs, have had no significant effect on the treatment process of these diseases, the attention of the medical community has been drawn to alternative methods. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are multipotential stem/progenitor cells that have extensive immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties and also play a critical role in the microenvironment of injured tissue. MSC secretomes (containing large extracellular vesicles, microvesicles, and exosomes) are a newly introduced option for cell-free therapies that can circumvent the hurdles of cell-based therapies while maintaining the therapeutic role of MSC themselves. The therapeutic capabilities of MSCs have been showed in many acute respiratory diseases, including chronic respiratory disease (CRD), novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID -19), and pneumonia. According to estimates, cancer will be the leading cause of death globally in 2022, accounting for 9.6 million deaths. At present, the three main therapeutic modalities utilized to treat cancer are radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgery. However, during treatment, tumor cells resistant to chemotherapy may arise. Drug resistance remains a major oppose since it often leads to therapeutic failure. Furthermore, the term "acquired drug resistance" describes the situation where tumor cells already display drug resistance before undergoing chemotherapy. However, little is still known about the basic mechanisms underlying chemotherapy-induced drug resistance. The development of new technologies and bioinformatics has led to the discovery of additional genes associated with drug resistance. Long noncoding RNA plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) has been linked to an increased risk of cancer, according to a growing body of research. Apart from biological functions associated with cell division, development, pluripotency, and cell cycle, lncRNA PVT1 contributes significantly to the regulation of various aspects of genome function, such as transcription, splicing, and epigenetics. Introduction: Although cancer treatment with cisplatin is effective, dose-dependent adverse effects such as ototoxicity occurs often, which limits its clinical use. The use of resveratrol may alleviate the cisplatin-induced ototoxic effects. This study is aimed to review the potential otoprotective effects of resveratrol against cisplatin-induced ototoxicity., Method: According to the PRISMA guideline, a systematic search was accomplished to identify all relevant scientific papers on "the role of resveratrol against cisplatin-induced ototoxicity" in different electronic databases up to May 2021. Fifty-five articles were screened based on a predefined set of inclusion and exclusion criteria. Eight eligible studies were finally included in the current systematic review. The in-vitro findings revealed that cisplatin administration significantly decreased the HEI-OC1 cell viability compared to the untreated cells; however, resveratrol co-treatment (in a dose-dependent manner) could protect HEI-OC1 cells against cisplatin-induced decrease in cell viability., Results: Furthermore, the in-vivo finding showed a decreased value of DPOAE, and increased values of ABR threshold, ABR-I, ABR-IV, and ABR I-IV interval in cisplatin-treated animals; in contrast, resveratrol co-administration demonstrated an opposite pattern on these parameters., Conclusion: Thus, it can be mentioned that resveratrol co-treatment alleviates cisplatin-induced ototoxicity. The gastrointestinal tract (GIT) environment has an intricate and complex nature, limiting drugs' stability, oral bioavailability, and adsorption. Additionally, due to the drugs' toxicity and side effects, renders are continuously seeking novel delivery systems. Lipid-based drug delivery vesicles have shown various loading capacities and high stability levels within the GIT. Indeed, most vesicular platforms fail to efficiently deliver drugs toward this route. Notably, the stability of vesicular constructs is different based on the different ingredients added. A low GIT stability of liposomes and niosomes and a low loading capacity of exosomes in drug delivery have been described in the literature. Bilosomes are nonionic, amphiphilic, flexible surfactant vehicles that contain bile salts for the improvement of drug and vaccine delivery. The bilosomes' stability and plasticity in the GIT facilitate the efficient carriage of drugs (such as antimicrobial, antiparasitic, and antifungal drugs), vaccines, and bioactive compounds to treat infectious agents. Considering the intricate and harsh nature of the GIT, bilosomal formulations of oral substances have a remarkably enhanced delivery efficiency, overcoming these conditions. This review aimed to evaluate the potential of bilosomes as drug delivery platforms for antimicrobial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiparasitic GIT-associated drugs and vaccines.
