This study explores awareness levels, the factors influencing awareness, and the impact of actual usages of fintech services on the acceleration of financial inclusion initiatives among the urban poor of the disadvantaged geographic segment of society. Data have been gathered from a sample of 100 individuals residing in urban slums in Uttarakhand, and analysis has been conducted utilizing the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The study finds that there is a moderate-to-low level of awareness except awareness of digital methods of payments, which is very high. Income and education are the prominent factors affecting awareness. Lastly, fintech is an effective lever that significantly accelerates the financial inclusion initiatives among urban slum dwellers. The article presents a study which determined the knowledge of respondents regarding the adverse effects of consumption on the environment and climate change and identified the demographic factors that affected the knowledge of respondents. Topics include distribution of respondents according to their demographic profile, assessment of respondents' knowledge, and factors that influence knowledge levels.

These notes are based on an ongoing project for building an archive of a premier women's college, Miranda House (established 1948), University of Delhi. We begin with a brief overview of the processes and methodologies involved in identifying materials to shape our collection, discuss processes of cataloguing, digitization, planning digital collections and a website. Our collection lies at the cusp of being an institutional archive, women's archive, archive of college women as well as an archive for doing public history. Despite the challenges of infrastructure, trained staff, technological expertise, digital humanities offer us immensely exciting possibilities. We use social media to reach out to alumni to build our collections, social media presence to showcase our materials, digital tools to widen access, share skills and create awareness regarding the significance of archiving the history of college women. Our attempts at DH have been quite successful. However, as DH opens up a plethora of opportunities, doing digital history also has its methodological challenges as well as conceptual and financial concerns for feminist projects like ours. Ismat Chughtai is one of the most celebrated South Asian women writers from the past century. Hence, most of the scholarship based on her few female characters from a select few stories largely deals with analysing the nature of female desire and sexuality. In this paper, we have extended the focus from sexual repression to the analysis of the power-paradigm in the space called zenana (domestic space) and its role in producing docile bodies. By using a Foucauldian framework in her lesser-explored short stories, namely, "Gainda" (transl. "Gainda"), "Gharwali" (transl. "The Homemaker"), and "Chui-Mui" (transl. "Touch-me-not"), we aim to explore the themes of surveillance, norms, and punishment and how these play a role in training individuals to be obedient to power structures and institutions. Francoise Brougher joined Pinterest as a chief operating officer in March 2018. Earlier she worked with Square and Google. She worked hard to augment the revenue of the company from US$500 million to US$1.1 billion in a short span of about two years. A large team of about 1,500 staff reported to her. However, soon after joining the company, she realized that the decision-making was monopolized by cronies of the chief executive officer (CEO). At the time of filing application for initial public offer, she noticed discrepancies in her compensation as compared to her male counterparts. Raising the issue became a bone of contention between Brougher and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Todd Morgenfeld. The matter became worse as the CEO Ben Silbermann also sided with the CFO. Ultimately, Brougher was shown the door in a most unceremonious manner. Anguished by the treatment meted out to her at Pinterest, Brougher filed a lawsuit against gender discrimination and retaliation. Both the parties reached an out-of-court settlement that instantly hit the headlines across the globe because of the magnitude and nature of the terms of settlement. This case explores the underlying questions emanating from the nature of the case as well as general incidence of gender discrimination and retaliation at the workplaces across the world.
