With the development of information technology and the progress of science and technology, broadband wireless communication is changing people's way of life. Traditional software radio communication algorithms can't meet high speed and efficient data processing requirements, and GPU parallel processing technology arises at the historic moment. Based on this, starting with GPU and CPU, the relationship between parallel and serial operation was studied. According to the characteristics of GPU with high performance, high bandwidth, high parallelism and programmable architecture, the principle of parallel Turbo algorithm in GPU is discussed. The turbo decoding algorithm is studied from both MAP and SOVA, and the total structure of the GPU decoder based on GPU and the subroutine thread distribution are proposed. And the result shows that GPU parallel processing technology based on the fine grained software radio communication algorithm, not only increases the granularity of fine-grained parallel particles, but also improves the operation speed. With low-cost energy consumption, the reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) technique is a potential solution to the real-time data processing for intelligent transportation systems (ITSs). In this paper, an intelligent transmissive surface is introduced into the vehicular communications, enabling vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) signals to penetrate the intelligent RIS to access the base station (BS) on the opposite side of the vehicle. Considering that the vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication reuses the spectrum spanned for V2I link, we investigate the ergodic capacity optimization problem for the vehicle performing V2I communications with the assistance of RIS, while meeting the low-latency and high-reliability requirements of the V2V link. The RIS transmission coefficients and power allocation of vehicles are jointly optimized, for the management of the desired and undesired vehicular communication links. Moreover, the expression of optimal phase shifts is derived in a closed-form, which reveals that the performance gain brought by RIS is proportional to the number of intelligent elements, while inversely proportional to the distance from vehicle-to-BS, in a quadratic form. Moreover, in the case of discrete phase shifts, an intelligent algorithm is proposed for the beamforming design at RIS. Afterwards, with the objective to maximize the ergodic capacity of the V2I link, the optimal power allocation is also proposed. Simulation results confirm the accuracy of the proposed resource allocation strategy, and that the system performance in terms of the ergodic V2I capacity can be significantly improved by the RIS. A tunable all-fiber optical attenuator (AOA) based on microfiber with adjustable coupling angle is reported and demonstrated. The AOA is fabricated of a microfiber probe coupled to a tapered fiber on the waist region through van der Waals and electrostatic forces. The attenuation can be tuned by adjusting the coupling angle of the two microfibers. When the coupling is fabricated of angles adjust from 8 0 o to 1 0 o , the optical attenuation can be tuned in a large range from 5.7 dB to 40.1 dB with low insertion loss. The simulation and experimental show that the coupling length can be changed by increasing the coupling angle, which results in decreasing the attenuation of AOA. The attenuation of AOA is decreased linearly by increasing the coupling angle. It provides a feasible approach to achieve attenuators with miniature volume, low cost, and multiple functions in optical communication and fiber lasers. • The AOA is fabricated by a microfiber probe coupled to a tapered fiber on the waist region through van der Waals and electrostatic force. • The optical attenuation can be linearly tuned in a large range with low insertion loss by adjusting the coupling angles. • The all-fiber structure of AOA excludes a difficult alignment between end-faces of two fibers and includes an easy connection to SMFs. • The AOA has the advantages of miniature volume, low cost, and multiple functions. Inspired by the promising potentialof reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS)-based transmission, this paper investigates the RIS-aided vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication system with the social trust, where multiple vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) links share the spectrum with vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) links. Subject to the reliability constraint of V2V links, the sum V2I link capacity is maximized, through jointly optimizing the power allocation, RIS reflection coefficients and spectrum allocation. The formulated mix-integer and non-convex problem is effectively converted into three subproblems, which can be iteratively solved by our proposed three-stage joint resource allocation and RIS optimization (JRARO) algorithm. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, and that the RIS can significantly improve the quality of vehicular communications in terms of the sum V2I capacity. A tunable triple dissipative solitons (DSs) mode-locked laser without a spectral filter in the all-normal dispersion (ANDi) system is reported and demonstrated. The nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE) acted as an artificial bandwidth filter for formatting the pulses with multiple DSs hysteresis phenomenon and adjusting the output wavelength with tuning. The spectral range can be adjusted from 1036.24 to 1043.44 nm, and the temporal distances between adjacent pulses are all equal to 33.9 ns. With the pump power of 560 mW, the highest output energy of the triple DSs is 48.8 nJ at a repetition rate of 2.541 MHz. This paper proposes a new artificial noise (AN) scheme that combines with the relay selection techniques to improve the physical layer security for a wiretap full-duplex decode-and-forward cooperative network. The communication consists of two phases. In the first phase, the source transmits a message to the selected full-duplex relay, which simultaneously injects AN to mitigate eavesdropping attacks. In the second phase, the selected relay decodes the source message, XORs the source message and AN, and then broadcasts the mixed-signal to the destination. Different form existing schemes, the proposed AN scheme makes the eavesdropper fail in obtaining any information about the source message directly in the second phase. We take into account the correlation of the channel coefficients for the same link during different phases in the performance analysis of AN-aided max-min (MM) and partial (Par) relay selection schemes, and characterize the security-reliability trade-off (SRT) of the proposed schemes by the closed-form expressions of outage probability and intercept probability. Numerical results show that the proposed AN-aided MM/Par relay selection achieves a better SRT performance than the corresponding full-duplex mode assisted AN-aided relay selection scheme in existing literature. Furthermore, the MM scheme outperforms the Par scheme in terms of the SRT, and the SRT of the MM scheme can be substantially improved by increasing the number of relays, while the improvement of the Par scheme is limited. With the evolution of the technologies for IoV to be intelligent and interconnected, V2X communication technology serves as a core technology for information interaction among intelligent connected vehicles, and an important technology to realize environment sensing for future autonomous driving. In order to provide wireless communication services with ultra-low delay, ultra-high reliability and ultra-large bandwidth, this article proposes architectures of 5G-V2X communication networks by exploiting the technologies of 5G new radio (NR), network slicing, and deviceto- device communications. We discuss their principles and key features, and foresee the challenges, opportunities, and future research trends. The applications of related technologies of the software defined network (SND) and multi-access edge computing (MEC) are also introduced. Abstract We have demonstrated the generation of widely tunable spectral multi-wavelength all-normal-dispersion (ANDi) Yb-doped fiber laser based on nonlinear polarization evolution (NPE) as the passively mode-locking mechanism. An easy-controlling tunable passband filter fabricated through a phase-shift long-period grating (PS-LPG) is employed to tune and control the wavelength in the laser cavity. By combining the character of the emission cross section of Yb-doped fiber, the tunable spectral ranges of the dual- and triple-wavelength pulses output is up to ∼20 nm and ∼7 nm, respectively. To our knowledge, it's the widest of tuning spectral range in the both dual- and triple-wavelength ANDi Yb-doped fiber laser with controllable and all-fiber format filter. Both energy efficiency (EE) and spectral efficiency (SE) are two important design criteria that can hardly be achieved simultaneously. In this paper, we investigate the EE–SE tradeoff for a two-way relaying system with amplify-and-forward (AF) strategy. Applying a unified EE–SE tradeoff metric, a power-allocation problem is formulated as the joint EE and SE maximization problem with a tradeoff factor. In particular, only statistical channel-state information (CSI) is required, and the asymmetric traffic requirements are taken into consideration in our design. Through the exploitation of the theorem of nonlinear fractional programming, a unique closed-form optimum solution is obtained, and some useful insights are also achieved. It has been proved that the provided optimal solution is Pareto optimal for EE–SE optimization. Utilizing these results, one can flexibly make the tradeoff between EE and SE by simply setting the tradeoff factor. Simulation results highlight the effect of the proposed power-allocation scheme. This paper investigates distributed beamforming (DBF) designs for two-way relay networks (TWRNs), where two terminal nodes exchange information through a set of amplify-and-forward (AF) relays. We assume individual relay power constraints and study two important design problems, namely, the max–min fairness (MMF) problem and the weighted sum-rate maximization (WSRM) problem. For the MMF problem, unlike the existing works that usually solve the problem by a bisection method, we propose an efficient optimal solution by solving one convex second-order cone program (SOCP) only. For the WSRM problem, we develop an efficient iterative algorithm based on SOCP reformulation and the successive convex approximation (SCA) technique. For both the MMF and WSRM designs, we further propose a distributed implementation framework where each of the relays can independently compute its beamforming weight using its local channel state information (CSI) and some common parameters broadcasted by a control center. In this paper, an enhanced transmission scheme for cooperative relaying networks with non-orthogonal multiple access (ECRN-NOMA) is proposed. In the proposed scheme, two different kinds of transmission schemes are investigated which are the single signal transmission and the enhanced superposition transmission schemes. Particularly, for the single transmission scheme, a successive interference cancellation (SIC) is utilized to decode the received signal, sent by the relay, at the destination. On the other hand, for the enhanced superposition coded signal transmission scheme, a maximum ratio combining (MRC) is utilized at the destination to improve the ergodic sum-rate (SR) of the proposed system. Specifically, two power allocation (PA) strategies are comprehensively discussed to characterize the performance of our proposed scheme. The achievable average SR of the proposed systems are analyzed for independent Rayleigh fading channels, and also their asymptotic expressions are also provided. Qualitative numerical results corroborating our theoretical analysis show that the enhanced superposition coded signal transmission scheme applied to the proposed ECRN-NOMA improves the SR performance significantly in comparison to the others.
