This paper proposed a pulley-buoy accelerated type linear wave power generation system, and verifies its feasibility and effectiveness through experiments. Compared with traditional three-phase wave energy converter, the process of energy transfer was cancelled in the pulley-buoy accelerated type linear wave power generation system, wave energy was converted into electrical energy through the movement of float directly. In the system, the pulley assembly increased the velocity of the float and the generating capacity of the linear generation system, thereby increasing its conversion efficiency. In the experiment, an undersized pulley-buoy accelerated type linear wave power generation system and a swing wave-making system were built in the laboratory. The experiment explored the influence of the number of the stator coil on the power generation performance of the system, and results showed that within the scope of this research, increasing the stator coils to a certain extent could effectively raise the efficiency of wave energy conversion and improve the generation performance of the pulley-buoy accelerated type linear wave power generation system. This research provides valuable experience for the actual application and effective operation of wave energy conversion system.

This paper proposed a pulley-buoy accelerated wave energy linear power generation system, and the feasibility and effectiveness of this system were verified through experimental research. Compared with the traditional wave energy power generation system with three-stage energy conversion links, the pulley-buoy accelerated wave energy linear power generation system omits the intermediate energy transfer and conversion link, and realizes the direct gain of electric energy from the buoy movement caused by wave, and by introducing the pulley combination, the movement speed of the buoy is enlarged, the power generation of the linear power generation system is increased, thereby the wave energy conversion efficiency of the system is improved. Under laboratory conditions, a small-size pulley-buoy accelerated wave energy linear power generation system prototype and a swing-plate wave-making system were built to explore the effects of different buoy sizes on the power generation performance of the system. The test results show that within the research scope of this paper, increasing the size of the buoy can effectively increase the wave energy conversion efficiency of the system and improve the power generation performance of the accelerated wave energy power generation system. The research results in this paper provide useful experience for the practical application and efficient operation of wave energy power generation systems.

Wave energy has the advantages of high energy density, renewability, and wide distribution, and has been highly valued by many coastal countries. The wave energy conversion device can convert wave energy into electric energy, which is of great significance for alleviating problems such as energy crisis and greenhouse effect. The traditional wave energy conversion device can only gain the energy along the heave direction, and the kinetic energy of the buoy is not fully utilized. To improve the energy utilization efficiency of the wave energy conversion device, this paper proposed a new type of 3-SPS wave energy conversion device. Based on linear waves and Lagrangian equation, a hydrodynamic model of the device was established. The displacement and velocity of the device float under the action of linear waves were analyzed. The results show that the 3-SPS wave energy conversion device can collect the kinetic energy of the buoy in its heaving, surging and pitching movement at the same time; the kinetic energy of the buoy in the heaving direction is much greater than the kinetic energy in the surging and pitching directions; the buoy can capture kinetic energy in multiple directions of motion, indicating that the 3-SPS wave energy conversion device has a high energy utilization efficiency. This paper provides some useful references for the optimal design of the new wave energy device.

Tensegrity systems have been used in several disciplines such as architecture, robots and antennas. However, just a few works in literature have addressed the possibility of using tensegrity systems in sensor applications. In this paper, a tensegrity-based weighing machine was proposed. An energy method was used to perform the equilibrium analysis of the machine. Then, the response of a vertical load and a torque was detailed on the basis of an energy formulation. Afterwards, the concepts of mass sensitivity and torque sensitivity were proposed to evaluate the testing performance of the tensegrity-based weighing machine. The results indicate that the machine has high mass sensitivity when the height of the top platform is small and the relationship between the vertical loads and the height of the top platform is approximately linear. Moreover, the torque sensitivity is symmetric with respect to the height of the top platform and the relationship between the torque and the rotation angle of the top platform is non-linear.
