Dicyclohexyl phthalate （DCHP） is a phthalic acid esters. It has been widely used in plastic processing and as a component in printing ink， paints， coatings， adhesives， and so on. DCHP can be detected in food， water， soil， air and dust. The application and management of DCHP was introduced， and its pollution characteristics based on existing research at home and abroad was described in this paper. And the research progress of DCHP’s metabolic processes in vivo and the hazard of liver， reproductive system， endocrine system and related mechanisms were further elaborated. And the existing problems and further research directions will be discussed.

ObjectiveApplying the in vivo Mammalian Alkaline Comet Test， this study aimed to investigate the DNA damage caused by the food additive titanium dioxide and nano-titanium dioxide on rat liver cells.MethodsAccording to the guideline “In vivo mammalian alkaline comet assay” （OECD TG489）， male SD rats were randomly divided into nine groups，five rats per group. Food additive titanium dioxide was administered to three groups at doses of 1000， 500 and 250 mg/kg·BW， while pure water served as the negative control. Titanium dioxide nanoparticle was administered in three different doses： 500， 150， and 50 mg/kg·BW. The negative control group received 0.8% Tween + 3% FBS. Test substances were administered by gavage once a day for 15 d. Simultaneously， a positive control group was established， and the positive substance ethyl methyl sulfonate （EMS） was administered once daily on the 14th and 15th days via gavage， at a dosage of 200 mg/kg·BW·d. Animals were anesthetized six hours after the last administration，and the livers were harvested to prepare single-cell suspension smears. The sections were subsequently subjected to lysis，unwinding， electrophoresis， staining to acquire the comet images for analyzing.ResultsThere were no statistical differences （P>0. 05） in the percentages of tail DNA content between the treated and negative control rats. However， the percentage of tail DNA content of rat liver cells in the EMS group showed a significant difference compared to the negative control group （P

ObjectiveThe risk assessment model of fatty liver accumulation in zebrafish larvae was established to identify the hepatotoxicity hazards of plasticizer butyl benzyl phthalate （BBP） using Di （2-ethylhexyl） phthalate （DEHP） and dibutyl phthalate （DBP） as positive control samples. This model was used to identify hepatotoxicity of butyl benzyl phthalate （BBP）.MethodsThe fatty liver signal intensity and expression of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor （PPAR） target gene CD36 in zebrafish liver after DEHP and DBP exposure were analyzed， and the hepatotoxicity model of zebrafish larvae was preliminarily constructed， which was used to evaluated the hepatotoxicity of BBP. In addition， liver density analysis， TG quantitative detection of zebrafish larvae and liver pathological examination of adult zebrafish were used to further verify the reliability of the model. ObjectiveTo establish the Food Toxicology Database （FoodTox）.MethodsA food toxicology database website was established. The priority list of the database was determined. The toxicological data of related substances through literature search was collected， and the systematic literature review （SLR） method was used to sort out the toxicological data of the substances in the library.ResultsThe food toxicology database has collected more than 1 600 substances with related data including toxicology-related information such as metabolism， acute toxicity， genotoxicity， reproductive and developmental toxicity， subchronic toxicity， chronic toxicity and carcinogenicity， population data， health guidance values and regulations of domestic and foreign management， related foods and symptoms etc.， which has been open to researchers in related fields.ConclusionThis database will provide the related professionals with the first-hand data， rapid technical support for emergency risk assessment and reference for priority substance evaluation.

ObjectiveThe purpose of this study is to compare genotoxicity methods between OECD test guidelines and China food safety standards（GB15193）．MethodsMain parameters of related genotoxicity methods in OECD Testing Guidelines and GB 15193 standards were compared and analyzed．ResultsThe methodology system of genotoxicity tests was similar between OECD and GB15193. However， there were some different recommendations in some parameters including cells/animal selection， treatment concentrations/dose selection and evaluation of results， etc.ConclusionAs a set of internationally recognized standards， OECD test guidelines can be beneficial to the improvement of GB15193 standards on genotoxicity.

Non‐precious metal‐based nitrogen‐doped carbon (M‐Nx/C) shows great potential as a substitute for precious metal Pt‐based catalysts. However, the conventional pyrolytic methods for forming M‐Nx/C active sites are prone to issues such as the lack of synergistic interactions among bimetallic atoms and the potential encasement of active sites, leading to compromised catalytic efficiency and hindered mass transfer. In this work, a highly active FeCo‐N‐C@U‐AC electrocatalyst is developed with a high density of active sites, adequate exposure of catalytic sites, and robust mass transfer capability using the chemical vapor‐phase deposition (CVD) technique. The resulting catalyst demonstrates impressive oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalytic performance and stability, with half‐wave potentials of 0.820 V (0.1 M HClO4) and 0.911 V (0.1 M KOH), respectively. It also exhibits significantly enhanced stability, retaining 93.25% and 98.38% of current after continuous 50 000 s of durability testing, surpassing the retention rates of Pt/C (80.31% in HClO4 and 84.96% in KOH electrolytes). Notably, when employed as a cathode catalyst in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) and zinc‐air flow batteries (ZAFBs), the FeCo‐N‐C@U‐AC catalyst delivers peak power densities of 859 and 162 mW·cm−2, respectively, showcasing competitive performance comparable to benchmark Pt/C. Microplastic is a global pollutant widely existing in the marine and terrestrial environments. The potential health effects of microplastics in food have attracted more and more attentions based on the continuous research. A comprehensive understanding of microplastics in food is very important for food safety and human health. In this paper, the analysis methods, occurrence, exposure and toxicity of microplastics in food are reviewed and the urgent problems needed to be solved are put forward to provide reference for food safety related research.
