Objective To investigate the value of

Annual gross primary productivity (AGPP) is the basis for grain production and terrestrial carbon sequestration. Mapping regional AGPP from site measurements provides methodological support for analysing AGPP spatiotemporal variations thereby ensures regional food security and mitigates climate change. Based on 641 site-year eddy covariance measuring AGPP from China, we built an AGPP mapping scheme based on its formation and selected the optimal mapping way, which was conducted through analysing the predicting performances of divergent mapping tools, variable combinations, and mapping approaches in predicting observed AGPP variations. The reasonability of the selected optimal scheme was confirmed by assessing the consistency between its generating AGPP and previous products in spatiotemporal variations and total amount. Random forest regression tree explained 85 % of observed AGPP variations, outperforming other machine learning algorithms and classical statistical methods. Variable combinations containing climate, soil, and biological factors showed superior performance to other variable combinations. Mapping AGPP through predicting AGPP per leaf area (PAGPP) explained 86 % of AGPP variations, which was superior to other approaches. The optimal scheme was thus using a random forest regression tree, combining climate, soil, and biological variables, and predicting PAGPP. The optimal scheme generating AGPP of Chinese terrestrial ecosystems decreased from southeast to northwest, which was highly consistent with previous products. The interannual trend and interannual variation of our generating AGPP showed a decreasing trend from east to west and from southeast to northwest, respectively, which was consistent with data-oriented products. A good understanding of giant landslide-prone areas could greatly enhance the understanding of the formation and failure mechanisms of giant landslides. In this study, a classic giant landslide-prone area named the Diexi area located along the upstream stretch of the Minjiang River on the eastern Tibetan Plateau is adopted to analyze the failure mechanism and evolution process by detailed field investigations, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) images and a digital surface model (DSM). The results show that among the 37 giant landslides located in the Diexi area, 18 landslides are transverse landslides (wedge failure), and the others are consequent landslides (buckling failure). All landslides blocked rivers, and some barrier lakes still remain. The Diexi area features special geological structural conditions related to the hinge section of the Jiaochang arc tectonic belt, the intersection of two active fault zones (the Songpinggou and Minjiang fault zones) and high levels of geostress. The numerous radial fissures induced by the Jiaochang arcuate belt provided lateral sliding boundaries for buckling deformation (consequent landslides) and head scarps for wedge failure (transverse landslides). The rapid incision (1.88 mm/yr) since the middle Pleistocene formed a deep gorge with steep slopes and strong lateral unloading. Frequent earthquakes and rainfall further reduced the rock mass integrity, and strong earthquakes or other factors triggered the landslides.

The study is designed to examine whether or not there are scientific grounds for Directive 2984 which was issued to reduce coal consumption by the Chinese central government in 2014. We propose a parametric stochastic frontier model that can be used to measure non-radial environmental energy efficiency, which has not been addressed so far and gather a panel data set covering 29 provincial administrative regions in Mainland China between 2000 and 2013. Our empirical results demonstrate the existence of inappropriateness and self-contradiction in this mandatory plan and offer a new list of regions for coal consumption reduction. We also recommend the implementation of regulatory impact analysis in the second round of this mandatory plan to improve transparency and consistency in the short run and the establishment of more market-based or market-mimicking incentive-compatible measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the long run.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) increases at fast rate of all cancer types in China, which urges the investigations of its potential mechanism. In this research, a highly expressed kinesin superfamily protein 22 (KIF22) was founded both in ESCC tissues and cancer cell lines. The following experiments pointed out that down-regulation of KIF22 remarkably restrained the malignant progression of ESCC cells. Besides, KIF22 knockdown promoted ESCC cells apoptosis and arrested cells in G0/G1 phase, while KIF22 also regulated the expression of cell cycle- and EMT-related proteins. Previous research revealed that the aberrant expressions of microRNAs (miRNAs) are related to tumors development. Based on the predict result, KIF22 was considered as the target of miR-122, which was demonstrated by luciferase reporter assay. miR-122 inhibitor could significantly reverse the function of KIF22 knockdown, including cell proliferation, migration and invasion. Furthermore, down-expressed miR-122 altered the function of KIF22 knockdown on cell cycle- and EMT-related proteins. In a word, this work illustrated the regulatory function of KIF22/miR-122 axis in ESSC and provided potential targets for potential targets for ESSC treatment.

Background: Derivation of the osteoblast-like cell from human pluripotent stem cell becomes a hot topic in bone tissue engineering. Although many improvements have been achieved in this field, low induction efficiency because of the non-directed differentiation process hampers their application in bone regeneration. We think lack of detailed understanding on the osteogenic differentiation process should be the main reason.Methods: Monolayer cultured human embryonic stem cells and human induced pluripotent stem cells were inducted in traditional serum-containing osteogenic medium for 35 days. Except for traditional assays such as cell viability detection, reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, immunofluorescence, and alizarin red staining, we also applied cell counting, cell telomerase activity, cell cycle and quantitative expression of runt-related transcription factor 2 as essential indicators to analyze the cell type changes during the differentiation process. Results: The population of differentiated cells are quite heterogenous throughout 35 days of induction. Then, cell telomerase activity and cell cycle analyses have value in evaluating the cell type changes and tumorigenicity of obtained cells. Moreover, nuclear staining should be a recommended method to evaluate the cell number, because, it is still a great challenge to dissociate cells with varying differentiation times into single cells with high survival rate. Finally, a dynamic map was made to integrated analysis of these results, and the cell types at defined stages of osteogenic differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells was concluded. Conclusions: This study lay foundation to improve the in vitro osteogenic differentiation efficiency of human pluripotent stem cells by supplementing functional compounds at each stage according to a time-frame, then establish a step-wised induction system in the future.

Engineering in seawater face materials corrosion such as concrete and steel bars attacked. Corrosion ions such as chlorides and sulphates exist in seawater with high concentration leading to the durability of engineering made by reinforced concrete degradation. The paper analyzed the mechanisms of steel and concrete in seawater corroded by sulphates and chlorides. According to the conditions of seawater environment the suggestions and measures to develop the durability of the reinforced concrete are proposed from the aspects of structure styles, construction requirements and materials etc.

This paper investigates the quantile residual life regression based on semi-competing risk data. Because the terminal event time dependently censors the non-terminal event time, the inference on the non-terminal event time is not available without extra assumption. Therefore, we assume that the non-terminal event time and the terminal event time follow an Archimedean copula. Then, we apply the inverse probability weight technique to construct an estimating equation of quantile residual life regression coefficients. But, the estimating equation may not be continuous in coefficients. Thus, we apply the generalized solution approach to overcome this problem. Since the variance estimation of the proposed estimator is difficult to obtain, we use the bootstrap resampling method to estimate it. From simulations, it shows the performance of the proposed method is well. Finally, we analyze the Bone Marrow Transplant data for illustrations.

Fifty male and fifty female Spargue-Dawley rats were randomly chosen and used to study the sexual dimorphisms of stomachic histological structures. The rat stomach consisted of the nonglandular part and the glandular part. The gender differences of the nonglandular part existed in the thicknesses of the stratified squamous epithelium and the longitudinal muscle. These findings revealed that the male rat stomach may storage more foods than the female. The gastric glands occupied all the lamina propria in the glandular part. The thicknesses of the gastric glands of the female and male rat were 525.0 ± 95.9 µm and 472.0 ± 158.7 µm respectively, and the difference was very significant (p0.05). On the contrary, the thicknesses of the basal layer and the three muscle layers in the female glandular part were all thicker than those in male, and the differences were very significant (P0.05).

The dry matter partitioning coefficient (PC) reflects the distribution and accumulation of dry matter in crop organs. Understanding the responses of PC to drought stress is fundamental for understanding crop development under drought stress. Using field data collected under drought stress conditions during the period 2013-2015 at three sites (Xiajin, Shandong; Gucheng, Hebei; and Yuncheng, Shanxi) in North China, we quantified the effects of different drought stress intensities on the PC of stems, leaves and ears during the development stages (from emergence to jointing, from jointing to tasseling, and from tasseling to maturity). The results showed that PC of stems, leaves and ears showed significant quadratic relationships with relative soil moisture during all stages. Leaf PC was increased by 0.04-0.09 during the grain-filling stage under light and moderate drought stress, and was increased by 0.17 during the tasseling stage under sever drought stress. On the contrary, drought stress had negative effects on the ear PC. With the increases of drought stress, less dry matter was allocated to ears. Under light to severe drought stresses, ear PC was decreased by 0.08-0.34. However, no consis-tent pattern was observed for the effects of drought stress on stem PC: negative effects were observed during the vegetative growth stage and positive effects were found in the mature stage. Overall, the degree of the responses of crop PC to drought stress under different phenology stages was in the order of grain-filling stage (positive)gt; tasseling stage (negative)gt; seedling stage (negative).干物质分配系数反映作物各器官干物质的分配与积累,研究干物质分配系数对干旱胁迫的响应,是研究干旱胁迫对作物生长发育影响的基础.本文基于华北夏玉米主产省山东、河北和山西3个试验点2013mdash;2015年田间水分控制试验资料,建立了夏玉米苗期、抽雄期、灌浆期3个主要发育阶段叶、茎、穗的干物质分配系数与土壤相对湿度的定量关系模型,分析了叶、茎、穗干物质分配系数对不同程度干旱胁迫的响应.结果表明: 3个阶段叶、茎、穗的干物质分配系数与土壤相对湿度均呈显著的一元二次关系.干旱胁迫下,叶片向外转运的干物质相对减少,叶干物质分配比例增加,并且在轻、中度干旱胁迫时的灌浆期(叶干物质分配系数增加0.04~0.09)以及重度干旱胁迫时的抽雄期(叶干物质分配系数增加0.17)响应最敏感.穗干物质分配系数对干旱胁迫表现为负响应,干旱胁迫越严重,分配系数越小,轻-重度干旱胁迫使穗干物质分配系数减小0.08~0.34.茎干物质分配系数对干旱胁迫的响应总体表现为灌浆期(正响应)＞抽雄期(负响应)＞苗期(负响应).

Traditional theories and methods for comprehensive environmental performance evaluation are challenged by the appearance of big data because of its large quantity, high velocity, and high diversity, even though big data is defective in accuracy and stability. In this paper, we first review the literature on environmental performance evaluation, including evaluation theories, the methods of data envelopment analysis, and the technologies and applications of life cycle assessment and the ecological footprint. Then, we present the theories and technologies regarding big data and the opportunities and applications for these in related areas, followed by a discussion on problems and challenges. The latest advances in environmental management based on big data technologies are summarized. Finally, conclusions are put forward that the feasibility, reliability, and stability of existing theories and methodologies should be thoroughly validated before they can be successfully applied to evaluate environmental performance in practice and provide scientific basis and guidance to formulate environmental protection policies.

With the purpose of estimating the range of cost efficiency levels of the power grid sector in China, we assembled a data set including 23 provincial power grid companies spanning from 2005 to 2009 and conducted an empirical study based on the SFA–MLE, SFA–Bayes and StoNED–CNLS methodologies. Empirical results show that the average values of efficiency from different models vary from 0.85 to 0.92, depending especially on the assumptions underlying inefficiency content. Further, results demonstrate that there is exogenous technical progress during the sample period, and per capita GDP of the province is negatively related to the costs of the electric grid company located in the corresponding province. We hope this empirical study will contribute to the debate on an efficiency-based regulation scheme which was introduced to the Chinese electric grid sector on a pilot base in 2014.

The dynamic variations of evapotranspiration (ET) and weather data during summer maize growing season in 2013-2015 were monitored with eddy covariance system, and the applicability of two operational models (FAO-PM model and KP-PM model) based on the Penman-Monteith model were analyzed. Firstly, the key parameters in the two models were calibrated with the measured data in 2013 and 2014; secondly, the daily ET in 2015 calculated by the FAO-PM model and KP-PM model was compared to the observed ET, respectively. Finally, the coefficients in the KP-PM model were further revised with the coefficients calculated according to the different growth stages, and the performance of the revised KP-PM model was also evaluated. These statistical parameters indicated that the calculated daily ET for 2015 by the FAO-PM model was closer to the observed ET than that by the KP-PM model. The daily ET calculated from the revised KP-PM model for daily ET was more accurate than that from the FAO-PM model. It was also found that the key parameters in the two models were correlated with weather conditions, so the calibration was necessary before using the models to predict the ET. The above results could provide some guidelines on predicting ET with the two models.利用涡度相关系统和小气象系统对2013—2015年夏玉米生长季的蒸散量和气象数据进行实时观测,基于观测数据对以Penman-Monteith模型为基础的FAO-PM模型和KP-PM模型进行分析:首先利用2013和2014年数据对两个模型中的关键参数进行校正,其次利用两个模型对2015年夏玉米农田的日蒸散量进行计算,并与测量值对比,说明两个模型在夏玉米农田的适用性;最后采用分阶段法对KP-PM模型中的经验系数进行修正.结果表明: FAO-PM模型对2015年夏玉米农田日蒸散量的计算值更加接近测量值;利用分阶段法对KP-PM模型进行修正后,模型对日蒸散量的计算效果有了很大提高,且计算值比FAO-PM模型更接近测量值.模型中关键系数与气象条件之间有很大关系,因此利用模型进行蒸散预测时,必须先对模型进行参数校正.该研究可为其他研究人员利用模型估算蒸散量提供方法上的参考.

Three cultivation models including rice-duck mutualistic, manual weeding and conventional rice farming were designed in the Yellow River Delta area to study the effects on rice milling quality, appearance quality, cooking and eating quality, and sanitation quality. The results showed that compared to conventional rice farming, the rice-duckmutualistic treatment increased grain width and brown rice rate, milled rice rate, head rice rate and reduced the chalkiness. This was mainly due to the increase of panicle numbers and grain mass and the decrease of the inferior grains. Due to the application of organic manure, the gel consistency increased, amylose and protein contents decreased, and the rice taste improved under rice-duck mutualistic and manual weeding cultivation treatments. As no chemical fertilizers and pesticides were applied under rice-duck mutualistic and manual weeding treatments, pesticide residues were greatly reduced or even not detected. Rice duck farming could improve the quality of rice and protect the environment, which would be a good ecological technology for high quality rice production.在黄河三角洲地区设计稻鸭共生、人工除草、常规稻作3种栽培模式,研究其对稻米加工品质、外观品质、蒸煮和食味品质、卫生品质的影响.结果表明:与常规稻作相比,稻鸭共生可以增加水稻粒宽,提高糙米率、精米率、整精米率,减少垩白,这主要是由于有效穗数和籽粒重的提高以及弱势粒的降低所致.稻鸭共生和人工除草栽培模式可以增加胶稠度,降低直连淀粉和蛋白质含量,改善稻米食味性,这主要归功于有机肥的施用.由于生产过程不施用化学肥料和农药,稻鸭共生、人工除草模式可以大幅降低甚至检测不到农药残留.稻鸭共生既可改善稻米品质,又能保护环境,为优质水稻生产提供了一条较好的生态技术途径.

BACKGROUND Pouchitis occurs in approximately 50% of patients with ulcerative colitis after ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (IPAA) but the pathogenesis remains unclear. We used a rat model of dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ileal pouchitis to examine whether intestinal barrier disruption plays a role in the development and progression of the disease. METHODS Rats were randomly divided into DSS (underwent IPAA and administered 5% DSS orally), IPAA (underwent IPAA), and Sham groups (underwent switch abdominal surgery). In the DSS group, levofloxacin intervention and nonintervention subgroups were used to determine the influence of antibiotics on intestinal barrier dysfunction. Hematochezia and fecal scores were recorded. Ileum and pouch specimens were obtained for histological assessment. Immunohistochemistry was performed for myeloperoxidase and occludin protein expression. Levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor α mRNA were detected by real-time PCR. Plasma D-lactate concentrations were determined with colorimetry. RESULTS Only rats in the DSS group experienced hematochezia, and their fecal and histological scores significantly increased (P < 0.01). Compared with the IPAA and Sham groups, levels of myeloperoxidase, IL-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor α, and plasma D-lactate significantly increased, whereas occludin and IL-10 reduced in the DSS group (P < 0.01). The levofloxacin subgroup showed increased occludin expression and more balanced inflammatory cytokine levels than the nonintervention subgroup. All differences showed linear correlations. CONCLUSIONS The intestinal barrier was disrupted in this rat model of pouchitis. Increased proinflammatory and decreased anti-inflammatory factors aggravated the intestinal barrier damage. Antibiotics may ameliorate this process.

In laparoscopic surgery, many problems are due to the poor degrees of freedom (DOF) of movement in controlling the forceps and laparoscopes. This paper proposes a new flexible laparoscopic forceps manipulator using synchronous belt drive mechanism, which consist of two miniaturized parts, synchronous belt drive mechanism enables independent bending procedure from-90° to 90° at the tip of forceps, and friction wheel mechanism which provides pivoting motion of forceps around incision hole on the abdomen. This mechanism is simple with high rigidity and can easily be miniaturized. The most remarkable characteristics of the prototype described in this paper are: 1) the casing diameter of the forceps is 5 mm; 2) with high rigidity and the repeatability positioning accuracy was 0.5o in bending motion; 3) pure mechanical structure with simple operation and low cost. This manipulator can solve the conflicts and blockings in laparoscopic surgery by switching back and forceps towards, meanwhile, it eliminates the surgical doctor’s fatigue and enhances the precision of surgery with higher effectiveness and safety as well.

Based on the characteristics of green appliances, the green degree evaluation index system is established from environment,resources,energy,economic,technology and society six areas. Fuzzy-EAHP applies the extension analytic hierarchy process (EAHP) to determine index weight of different levels. EAHP, which is more accurate and more objective than the traditional AHP, can quantitatively show the relative important degree between indexes with the extension interval number. Building the Mathematical model of three-lever fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, the first process comprehensive evaluation result is as input data of the latter process. A series of composite materials have been prepared through assembly of two natural polymers, attapulgite and silk fibroin, to adjust the slow release performances of diclofenac molecules, a type of non-steroidal drugs. The assembled composite materials have a core-shell structure, with attapulgite composing the core and silk fibroin composing the shell. It has been found that the formation of the core-shell structure can reduce the release rate of diclofenac to a higher extent. When a small amount of ammonium molybdate was introduced into the composite material's silk fibroin layer, different release performances of drug molecules could be produced. In particular, the release performances of drug molecules contained in the assembled composite materials could be adjusted through UV irradiation. SW-GP (Sliding Window-Genetic Programming) algorithm is provided to implement dynamic forecast of monitoring data in order to more effectively utilize coal mine monitoring data to alert and forecast safety accident. In the program, sampling data is obtained by sliding window technology and model is founded automatically by GP algorithm. The result of instance shows that forecasting values from the model well agree with the real values, which explains that employing SW-GP modeling can settle problem for alert and forecast for mine safety monitoring data satisfactorily.

AIM To investigate the changes in microbiota in feces of patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) and pouchitis using genomic technology. METHODS Fecal samples were obtained from UC patients with or without an ileal pouch-anal anastomosis (IPAA) procedure, as well as healthy controls. The touchdown polymerase chain reaction technique was used to amplify the whole V3 region of the 16S rRNA gene, which was transcribed from DNA extracted from fecal samples. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis was used to separate the amplicons. The band profiles and similarity indices were analyzed digitally. The predominant microbiota in different groups was confirmed by sequencing the 16S rRNA gene. RESULTS Microbial biodiversity in the healthy controls was significantly higher compared with the UC groups (P < 0.001) and IPAA groups (P < 0.001). Compared with healthy controls, the UC patients in remission and those in the mildly active stage, the predominant species in patients with moderately and severely active UC changed obviously. In addition, the proportion of the dominant microbiota, which was negatively correlated with the disease activity of UC (r = -6.591, P < 0.01), was decreased in pouchitis patients. The numbers of two types of bacteria, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and Eubacterium rectale, were reduced in UC. Patients with pouchitis had an altered microbiota composition compared with UC patients. The microbiota from pouchitis patients was less diverse than that from severely active UC patients. Sequencing results showed that similar microbiota, such as Clostridium perfringens, were shared in both UC and pouchitis. CONCLUSION Less diverse fecal microbiota was present in patients with UC and pouchitis. Increased C. perfringens in feces suggest its role in the exacerbation of UC and pouchitis.

In this paper, a combination method, between the neural network and textures information, is proposed to remote sensing images classification. The methodology involves an extraction of texture features using the gray level co-occurrence matrix and image classification with BP artificial neural network. The combination of texture features and the digital elevation model (DEM) as classified bands to neural network were used to recognized different classes. This scheme shows high recognition accuracy in the classification of remote sensing images. In the experiments, the proposed method was successfully applied to remote sensing image classification and Land Use Change Detection, in the meanwhile, the effectiveness of the proposed method was verified.

Numerous experimental studies have proven that the confinement with FRP-wrap or tube encasement could enhance the strength, ductility and durability of concrete columns. The variation of each distinct experimental test result to its actual mean value is the general cause of modeling inaccuracy, and this appears to be a lack of consensus among the research community. This paper critically reviewed the current experimental studies with the emphasis on the revelation of the mechanical behavior of FRP-confined concrete and analytical study of its behavior.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are associated with human carcinogenesis and tumor development. Moreover, serum miRNAs can reflect the level of tissue miRNAs and be potential tumor markers. Serum microRNA-21 (miR-21) is overexpressed in many human cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, how serum miR-21 changes during the HCC formation and whether miR-21 plays a regulatory role in this whole process are unknown. The current study evaluated the prognostic and diagnostic potential of serum miR-21 in HCC patients. Next, we established a HCC rat model and collected the blood and liver tissues at regular time points. AFP from the serum, RNA from the serum and liver tissues were collected and quantified separately. The results revealed that tissue and serum miR-21 was upregulated significantly in the groups of cirrhosis, early and advanced HCC compared with normal and fibrosis groups. The AFP levels were increased in early and advanced HCC compared with other groups. Then, the changes of miR-21 downstream proteins (i.e., programmed cell death 4 [PDCD4] and phosphatase and tensin homolog [PTEN]) in the liver tissues were measured. PDCD4 and PTEN expression was decreased gradually after tumor induction and negatively correlated with miR-21 expression. All these results suggested that serum miR-21 was associated with the prognosis of HCC; the changes in serum miR-21 were earlier and more accurately reflected the pathogenesis of HCC than AFP; therefore, it could be used as an early diagnostic marker for HCC. Our in vivo experiments further confirmed that miR-21 plays an important role in promoting the occurrence and development of HCC by regulating PDCD4 and PTEN.

Intestinal pseudo-obstruction (IPO) is a rare but dangerous complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) when the patient has no other manifestations except gastrointestinal symptoms. We performed 1 patient with a 2-month history of recurrent vomiting and abdominal distension. She admitted past surgical histories of cesarean section and appendectomy. A physical examination revealed tenderness in the right lower abdominal on palpation and bowel sounds were weak, 2 to 3 bpm. An x-ray and CT of her abdomen showed intestinal obstruction. The initial diagnosis was adhesive intestinal obstruction. She received surgical treatment because her symptoms had gradually become more frequent and persistent. But she vomited again 2 weeks later after the surgery. Further immunology tests indicated that she had an IPO secondary to SLE. We treated the patient with methylprednisolone pulse for 3 days and followed by prednisone orally. The patient had a good response. Complete remission was achieved on 8 years follow-up. The importance of IPO secondary to SLE lies in an early diagnosis. After the diagnosis is established, immunosuppressive therapy should be the initial and first-line treatment, and surgical intervention is often disappointing and should be carefully avoided. It is necessary to enhance awareness of doctors to IPO secondary to SLE.

The distribution characteristics of soil N/P ratio in alpine grassland ecosystem of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau were surveyed by field investigation and laboratory analysis. Horizontally, soil N/ P ratio was generally higher in west and lower in east in a manner of staggered patch distribution, with higher N/P ratios mainly centralized in the hinterland of northern part of Tibet Plateau and in the lake basin area of the northern foot of Himalayas. Significant differences in soil N/P ratio were observed among grassland types and natural transects. Vertically, the distribution of N/P ratio along the soil profile from aboveground to underground among different grass types could be categorized into five patterns, including low-high-low-high, low-high-low, low-high, high-low-high-low, and high-low-high. The N/P ratio showed a significant positive correlation with soil bulk density at 0-20 cm depth, soil water content at 20-30 cm depth, contents of soil available K and total nitrogen, respectively. However, it showed significant negative correlation with soil bulk density at 20-30 cm depth, contents of soil available P and total P, respectively.

Whether stomata oscillations induced by atmospheric drought stress are hydropassive or metabolic energy-dependent and the thresholds of some effective factors were studied in Glycyrrhiza inflata. The metabolic inhibitors NaN(3) and carbonyl cyanide-m-phenyl-hydrazone inhibited the respiration. However they could not significantly change the intensity (amplitude/average) of the stomata oscillation. The leaf turgor-pressure was fluctuated simultaneously with the stomata oscillations, whereas the K(+) content of the guard cells did not show oscillations. The oscillation intensity was found to be regulated by vapour pressure deficit (VPD), the proportion of the retained root and the stem flux lag. The minimum threshold of VPD, roots and the stem flux lag may be required to induce the stomata oscillations. The fluctuations of the leaf turgor-pressure induced by the non-synchronization between the transpiration demand and provide of water by the stem flux may be the direct cause of the stomata oscillations in G. inflata under the conditions of high transpiration demand.

Based on the time series 10-day composite NOAA Pathfinder AVHRR Land (PAL) dataset (8 km x 8 km), and by using land surface energy balance equation and "VI-Ts" (vegetation index-land surface temperature) method, a new algorithm of land surface evapotranspiration (ET) was constructed. This new algorithm did not need the support from meteorological observation data, and all of its parameters and variables were directly inversed or derived from remote sensing data. A widely accepted ET model of remote sensing, i. e., SEBS model, was chosen to validate the new algorithm. The validation test showed that both the ET and its seasonal variation trend estimated by SEBS model and our new algorithm accorded well, suggesting that the ET estimated from the new algorithm was reliable, being able to reflect the actual land surface ET. The new ET algorithm of remote sensing was practical and operational, which offered a new approach to study the spatiotemporal variation of ET in continental scale and global scale based on the long-term time series satellite remote sensing images.

In the present paper, the possibility of generation of Raman spectra using polychromatic light instead of laser is discussed based on the theory of Raman scattering. When a polychromatic light impinges on a sample, the resultant scattering includes Rayleigh scattering and Raman scattering brought about by the excitation light at each corresponding frequency. Mathematical analysis demonstrates that the scattering spectra after being corrected by the frequency of scattered light are the convolution of Raman-Rayleigh jointed spectrum and the power spectrum of the excitation light. Therefore, Raman spectrum can be obtained with an algorithm of Fourier transformation using polychromatic light as an excitation source.

The Human Serum Albumin (HSA) can emit fluorescence (lamda(em) = 350 nm) under irradiation of ultraviolet light (lamda(ex) = 296 nm). After the vitamin B6 (B6) was added into HSA solution the fluorescence of HSA was quenched partially. This quenching was static quenching owing to the fact that ro (fluorescence life time (life time of the molecule excitation state) of HSA without B6) equaled to tau(i) (fluorescence life time of HSA with B6). The formation constant K between HSA and B6 was observed from the experiment, and then the binding distance R0 was determined (R0 = 1.872 nm). The CD spectra of samples (HSA, [HSA] = 1 x 10(-5) mol x L(-1), HSA +B6, [B6] = 5 x 10(-8), 1.5 x 10(-7), 2.5 x 10(-7), 3.5x 10(-7), 4.5x 10(-7) mol x L(-1)) were measured, and all CD spectra were almost the same. From [theta] values, the contents (percent content) of four structure(alpha-Helix, beta-Pleated, Beta-corner, and Randon wind) of samples can be calculated, and we find that all samples contain almost the same structure contents.

In this synthetic route, the raw materials are obtained easily and the conditions of reactions are smoothly. The products in some main procedures of the route have high yieds. This synthetic route is a new way of the compound, there hasn't been reported anywhere. It needs further studies to be practically applied. According to this synthetic routes, the authors studied technolygical conditions of the reactions of every step. Some products are analyzed by refractive index, IR, HNMR, and MS and confirmed its structure.

Tibet, a most beautiful place, locating in southwestern China. She has been called as the third pole of the earth. Unique geological history, complex land surface and climatic zones, various soil types, all different wild vegetations etc., all of these make Tibet a very typical area of vertical agricultural ecosystem. The ecosystem in Tibet may be the most complex in the world, which varies from place to place. Genetic differentiation of 107 accessions of Brassica rapa from Tibet plateau was studied by DNA PAPD analysis using 2210 bp random primers, the genetical distribution in 107 accession of Brassica rapa from Tibet plateau was found. The results are as follows: (1) Total 236 bands were produced from 107 Tibet oilseed accession of B. rapa germaplasm resource in Tibet, of 210 bands amplified from B. rapa germaplasm resource showed polymorphism, with the ratio 88.98%. The result showed that oilseed accession of B. rapa in Tibet has richer genetic diversity; (2) Dendrogram constructed from DNA RAPDs showed that 107 accessions of B. rapa from Tibet plateau were divided into 11 cluster by calculating genetic distance, the cluster analysis showed that the genetic variation among oilseed accessions of B. rapa was closely related with their eco-geographic distribution; extensive variation existed among the accessions from Tibet Province. Based on the analysis of unique geological history, complex land surface and climatic zones, various soil types, complex growing environments, long agricultural history, different cropping systems, and natural and artificial selection as well as plant geography, plant evolution theory, it concludes that Tibet is one of the oil seed gene centers in the word.

The arterial supply to the eye of the bactrian camel (Camelus bactrianus) was studied by gross dissection. The supply came from the external ophthalmic, external ethmoidal and malar and maxillary tubercular arteries, ophthalmic rete mirabile, and the rostral epidural rete mirabile. The external ophthalmic artery gave rise to branches to supply the dorsal oblique muscle, lacrimal gland, superior and inferior eyelids, and the lateral angle of the eye, and to take part in the formation of the rostral epidural rete and the ophthalmic rete mirabile. The external ethmoidal artery detached off some branches to supply the ventral and medial dorsal rectus oblique muscles, the conjunctiva of the superior eyelid and the fat body of the orbit. The branches of the malar artery supplied the inferior, superior and third eyelids, ventral oblique muscle, and the medial angle of the eye. The ophthalmic rete mirabile gave off many branches to supply the rectus muscles of the eye, dorsal oblique and retractor oculi muscles, levator muscle of the superior eyelid, and the choroid.

目的：观察microRNA-34a、Notch1在肝细胞肝癌（hepatocellular carcinoma,HCC）组织的表达,探讨其与HCC发生、发展、临床病理特征的关系及可能的临床意义.方法：在132例HCC组织及癌旁组织、49例正常肝脏组织中应用实时荧光定量PCR法检测microRNA-34a的表达和免疫组织化学染色检测Notch 1表达.结果：HCC组织中microRNA-34a表达水平明显低于癌旁组织（2.57±0.71,P=0.003）及正常肝组织（8.65±0.21,P〈0.001）,在转移性癌组织中microRNA-34a表达水平明显低于非转移性癌组织（1.34±0.13,P=0.014）,差异均有统计学意义.Notch1的免疫组织化学染色结果：HCC组织中Notch1表达水平明显高于癌旁组织（3.12±0.67,P=0.001）及正常肝组织（4.65±0.14,P〈0.001）,转移性癌组织高于非转移性癌组织（2.14±0.37,P=0.008）,差异有统计学意义.MicroRNA-34a与Notch1在HCC及癌旁组织中均成负相关,相关系数分别为（r=-0.259,P=0.003）、（r=-0.274,P=0.002）,两者在HCC组织中的表达与患者年龄、性别、肝功能、肿瘤部位、是否合并肝硬变、是否伴随肝炎病毒感染及甲胎蛋白（α-fetoprotein,αFP或AFP）含量无相关性（P〉0.05）,而与肿瘤恶性程度、肿瘤个数、肿瘤体积、淋巴结转移、浸润深度、TNM分期密切相关（P〈0.05）.Kaplan-Meier分析显示：microRNA-34a低表达、Notch1高表达组患者术后3年生存率（11.3%）,明显低于microRNA-34a高表达、Notch1低表达组（34.7%）,差异具有统计学意义（χ2=38.163,P=0.011）.结论：MicroRNA-34a在HCC组织中较癌旁和正常肝脏组织明显减低,其通过逆向调节靶蛋白Notch1参与肿瘤肿瘤恶性行为;检测microRNA-34a及Notch1在HCC组织中的表达情况,对HCC的临床诊断、治疗及预后判断有潜在的重要意义.
