12. Efficient Photocatalytic CH4Conversion to C1 Oxygenates on Pd/C-TiO2/g-C3N4Photocatalyst

Abstract

In this work, a Pdx/C-TiO2/g-C3N4-yphotocatalyst was synthesized by combining g-C3N4with Ti3C2through heat treatment, followed by loading with noble metal Pd. Morphological characterization and XPS before and after reaction revealed the formation of a C-TiO2/g-C3N4Z-scheme heterojunction system with Pd deposited on top. The optimal catalyst, Pd0.8/C-TiO2/g-C3N4-5, exhibited significantly enhanced total C1 yields under mild conditions, achieving 6.1 and 2.6 times the yields of g-C3N4and C-TiO2, respectively. Notably, the HCHO yield was improved to 3854.79 μmol·g–1·h–1. Mechanistic studies indicated that the C-TiO2/g-C3N4heterojunction significantly enhanced the CH4conversion performance by effectively suppressing photogenerated charge recombination. Additionally, the loaded Pd promoted CH4adsorption and activity, further improving the CH4conversion efficiency. Furthermore, Pd contributed to the high C1 yield by accelerating the generation of both and •OH radicals.

24. Highly Selective Conversion of CH4 to High Value‐Added C1 Oxygenates over Pd Loaded ZnTi‐LDH.

Abstract

The selective oxidation of methane to high value‐added liquid oxygenated compounds under mild conditions is of great significance to promote the efficient utilization of the carbon source, but it also faces the dilemma of low activity and over‐oxidation. Here, ZnTi‐layered double hydroxides (LDH)‐A200 photocatalysts with Pd loading are prepared to achieve efficient oxidation of methane, with O2 as an oxidant under ambient condition. The highest generation rate of C1 liquid products (methanol and formaldehyde) reaches 4924.47 µmol g−1 h−1 with a selectivity close to 100% over 0.5Pd‐ZnTi‐LDH‐A200, which is 20 times higher than that of bare ZnTi‐LDH‐A200. The photochemical results show that the modified photocatalysts present much higher generation and separation efficiency of electron‐hole pairs. In situ X–ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicates that Pd nanoparticles are the hole acceptor, which is beneficial to charge separation in the photocatalysis. Furthermore, electron spinresonance spectroscopy and temperature–programmed–desorption analysis prove that Pd loading is helpful to the adsorption of methane and oxygen on the surface of ZnTi‐LDH‐A200, promoting the production of reactive oxygen species and activation of methane. All these factors work together to promote the efficient conversion of CH4 to high value‐added C1 oxygenates. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

33. Synthesis and antibacterial activity of a series novel 5,7-diisoprenyloxyflavone derivatives

Abstract

In the present study, a series of novel 5,7-diisoprenyloxyflavone derivatives were designed, synthesized, and evaluated for their antibacterial activity. Most of these compounds displayed significant antibacterial effects against Gram-positive bacteria, especially against strains of multidrug-resistant clinical isolates. Compounds 4c, 4g, 4i, 4j, 4k, 4l, 4n, 4q and 4t showed high levels of antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus RN4220 with minimum inhibitory concentrations of 4.0-20 µM. Compound 4k showed the most potent activity among these compounds against all multidrug-resistant clinical isolates tested. Unfortunately, none of the compounds were active against Gram-negative bacteria at the doses of 24-164 µM.
