Geography is a very practical subject and practice activity is an important link in geography teaching. Nevertheless, the field practice environment is limited by spatiotemporal dynamics so it is impossible to acquire in-depth situational learning effect. Based on complementary construction of supporting conditions of practice base, in this paper, with Haitan Island as the research case, a 3D model for virtual simulation of marine geomorphic evolution is built and the auxiliary platform of geographic field practice is designed by using 3D GIS technology, virtual reality technology, spatial positioning service and so on to realize the 3D simulation of the evolution process of the coastal topography of the practice field and to vividly and intuitively display the historical evolution process of the coastal topography of the practice field so as to help students to improve their understanding of forming and evolution process of costal topography through practice of virtual simulation platform, aiming at optimizing the geography teaching method and stimulating the learning enthusiasm through improving teachers’ geography image teaching ability.

In order to serve the urban disaster prevention and mitigation and emergency management, it designs a system of Intelligent Fire-fighting System of a Big Public Building Emergency Evacuation Navigation System for mobile terminal. The mobile terminal based indoor positioning, push in the place where the indoor personnel information of the area around the building structure, by means of a mobile terminal display of geographical space structure, the evacuation can intuitively grasp the incident scene and its development trend. The research results can be used for the rehearsal of various emergencies in the complex building, get the evacuation of the optimal path, to provide accurate, timely, visualization of the evacuation plan, help to improve the ability of staff in dealing with fire and other emergencies, then it can also improve the emergency system of management about public events in China and provide beneficial references for the risk management system of disasters.

To serve the emergency management for urban disaster prevention and mitigation, a spatial model for that will be established specific to the increasingly serious challenge on emergency evacuation in complex buildings, and an emergency evacuation platform is designed based on mobile GIS. The possible development tendency of events will be virtually derived by LBS positioning function and demonstration of spatial structure in the mobile terminal scene so that the dynamic routing of evacuation inside buildings can be designed. On the one hand, this research can provide data validation and decision ancillary support for virtual training and emergency rescue of urban disasters; on the other hand, it can also give some reference significances on completing emergency management system of public events and risk management system of jumbo risks.

In order to serve for emergency management of earthquake disaster reduction, based on the research area of University Town in Fuzhou, the paper analyzed crowd and space distribution characteristics in university campus as well as functional demand that university students perform emergency virtual walkthrough towards emergency, constructed emergency plan virtual walkthrough system for daily walkthrough and actual combat guidance; virtually deduced possible range damaged by earthquake disaster, confirmed spatial optimized layout distribution of emergency evacuation point, planned channel for emergency and evacuation to provide a scientific, simple, and vivid visible analytical means, emergency response preview education, test verification, and decision aid support for event preview, emergency rescue, treatment, and decision, which greatly improves the efficiency of emergency treatment, enriches knowledge and experience of emergency, and promotes the learning ability of emergency management.

In order to serve for the emergency management of the urban disaster prevention and reduction, various impact factors influencing the evacuation path model in time of fire were analyzed and determined, optimized dynamic model of the three-dimensional evacuation path within the building facing up to the campus personnel characteristics was constructed, the evacuation position and escape evacuation path were planned and designed, three-dimensional dynamic virtual simulation system for emergency response which can take the normal drills and actual command into consideration was developed and the demonstration analogue simulation application was conducted by taking the fire emergency in the highly crowded school building as an example and aiming at the increasingly severe problems in the emergency evacuation of the complicated building. This research can provide data verification for the virtual drill and emergency rescue in the unexpected fire in school buildings rapidly and efficiently, thus it can contribute to improve the governments' ability in treating and preventing the fire and other emergencies.

A teaching method of “virtual” experimental scene based on virtual simulation platform is developed with the aim to solve the existing problems in geographical experimental teaching. The paper discussed some issues on how to build a practice teaching technology system with geographical scene simulation that integrating geographical space information collection, application and simulation. Some examples were given to describe the main construction process of the platform. The application of the platform will provide a new practice teaching pattern in which “experiment — theory sublimation — practice” for geographical experimental teaching research is used to promote students' abilities on laboratory test and field practice, comprehensive and innovative experiment.

Sudden leakage has become a growing threat to public safety in cities. In our study, constructing a model of three-dimensional dynamic diffusion of leaked pollution gas, and exploring key technologies for space-time evolution of leakage diffusion, we implemented the visual processing of positioning and monitoring of regional pollution and also implemented the visual presentations and interpretation of pollutant diffusion data. Therefore, it can provide decision-making and ancillary support for emergency relief.

The research took the geomorphology experiment system as an example, constructed a geomorphology experiment virtual system based on the virtual reality technology. The system will improve the experimental and training environment, optimize the content and process of teaching, and integrate methods of practical teaching of various sub-disciplines in geography. So as to achieve the effect that the students can grasp various sub-disciplines knowledge of geography more comprehensively and more directly in teaching practice, which is the essential the research study in geographical education.

This paper presented a case study of how to integrate virtual reality (VR) technology with geographical information system (GIS) for the simulating the soil erosion process in Dongzhen reservoir of Fujian province, China. The research work was divided into three parts: (1) building a three dimension simulated environment of the whole reservoir area with remotely sensed image SPOT5 and digital elevation model (DEM) driven from contour relief map, and (2) modeling the soil erosion process and visualizing the dynamic process on a computer, and (3) predicting the father evolution of erosion process via changing the affecting factors and visualizing the future scenario of the reservoir area. After introducing the profile of research site, we presented simulating reservoir project which based on the l/RGIS is bringing forward. And the spatial information visualization of reservoir area is also implemented. Take the Dongzhen reservoir of Fujian province as the typical case, the environment condition and basin status around the reservoir area is simulate for display based on the VRGIS technology, the 3d simulation scene of soil and water erosion status and dam is build by the project of water and soil conservation simultaneity. Through this method, combined the integration of flood analysis feature and 3D spatial, using the special function of GIS in spatial data processing and analysis, the unite of data and graph of monitor and predict system of water and soil erosion is also realized, the scientific characteristic of monitor and prediction of water and soil erosion is also strengthened, provide a reliable information source for reducing the harm of water and soil erosion.
