Purpose: Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) is widely used in diabetes management and now recommended for diagnosis and risk assessment. Our research focused on investigating the optimal cutoff points of HbA1c for diagnosis of diabetes and prediabetes in Chinese breast cancer women, aiming to enhance early detection and tailor treatment strategies. Patients and Methods: This study involved 309 breast cancer women without diabetes history in China. Patients were categorized into groups of newly diagnosed diabetes, prediabetes, and normal glucose tolerance using oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) according to the 2010 ADA criteria. HbA1c data were collected from all patients. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis was used to assess the effectiveness of the HbA1c screening. Results: Among the 309 breast cancer women without diabetes history, 96 (31.0%) were identified with diabetes and 130 (42.1%) had prediabetes according to OGTT, and the incidence of normal glucose tolerance was only 26.9% (83). ROC curve analysis, using OGTT as a reference, revealed that the area under the curve of 0.903 (P< 0.001, 95% CI, 0.867– 0.938) for HbA1c alone, indicating high accuracy. The optimal HbA1c cutoff for identifying diabetes was determined to be 6.0%, with a sensitivity of 78.1% and specificity of 86.4%. For prediabetes, the ROC curve for HbA1c alone showed that the area under the ROC curve of 0.703 (P< 0.001, 95% CI, 0.632– 0.774), with an optimal cutoff of 5.5% (sensitivity of 76.9% and specificity of 51.8%). Conclusion: The prevalence of undiagnosed diabetes is very high in breast cancer women without diabetes history in China. The optimal cutoff points of HbA1c for identifying diabetes and prediabetes are 6.0% and 5.5% in Chinese breast cancer women, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Utilization of N,N‐dimethylformamide (DMF) as an amine source and reductant for synthesizing tertiary amines is a promising way to replace the substrates formaldehyde and dimethylamine, and it is desirable to seek porous acid‐resistant catalysts for heterogeneous catalysis of this reaction. Herein, a robust metal–organic framework (MOF) {[Th6O4(OH)4(H2O)6(BCP)3]⋅10 DMF}n (1) containing stacked nanocages with a diameter of 1.55 nm was constructed. Compound 1 can maintain its single‐crystal structure even kept in air at 400 °C for 3 h, and in DMF or water at 200 °C for 7 days. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations suggested that the high interaction energy between the [Th6O4(OH)4(H2O)6]12+ clusters and ligands was responsible for the excellent stability of 1. Catalytic investigations revealed that 1 can effectively and size‐selectively catalyze the reductive amination of aldehydes with DMF, and it can be reused at least five times without obvious loss in catalytic activity. Since the discovery of the first drum-like CoB16− complex, metal-doped drum-like boron nanotubular structures have been investigated with various metal dopants and different tubular size, forming a new class of novel nanostructures. The CoB16− cluster was found to be composed of a central Co atom coordinated by two fused B8 rings in a tubular structure, representing the potential embryo of metal-filled boron nanotubes and providing opportunities to design one-dimensional metal-boron nanostructures. Here we report improved photoelectron spectroscopy and a more in-depth electronic structure analysis of CoB16−, providing further insight into the chemical bonding and stability of the drum-like doped boron tubular structures. Most interestingly, we find that the central Co atom has an unusually low oxidation state of −1 and neutral CoB16 can be viewed as a charge transfer complex (Co−@B16+), suggesting both covalent and electrostatic interactions between the dopant and the boron drum. In order to solve the problem that the deviation between the ship-borne radar optical axis and mechanical axis can not be calibrated accurately in dynamic sea condition, this paper proposes a new method to calibrate the ship-borne radar's optical-mechanical axis non-parallelism by calibrating TV reverse method aiming calibration target on mast in dynamic sea condition, analyzes possible error sources of the method, confirms that the parallax error is the largest error source of the reverse optical-mechanical axis non-parallelism calibration method and gives three solutions to decrease or avoid the parallax error, namely intelligent selection method, comparative method and least square method. The comparative method is used to correct calibration data and the calibration accuracy is better than 10". Tests show that the method improves the calibration accuracy by solving the technical problem of how to correct parallax error at short range, features high operability and high accuracy, and has high practical value for ship-borne radars.
