Background The family-centered and community-based community home-based elderly care has gradually become the main trend in the context of increased population aging in China. As an important component of the primary care service system, community health services play a cornerstone role in community home-based elderly care. Understanding the experience of home-dwelling old adults on community health services will help to improve the healthcare quality and promote the development of combined medical and nursing care. Objective To understand the reasons for the home-dwelling old adults to prefer community home-based elderly care and their experience, analyze the existing problems, so as to provide reference for developing needs-oriented community health services. Methods From February to June in 2022, the home-dwelling old adults aged ≥65 years old were selected from 10 community health centers in Chengdu as the study subjects by using purposive sampling method. 10 focus groups were set up to conduct face-to-face, semi-structured interviews. Data collection was performed by audio recording and text transcription. NVivo 12 software was used for the coding and categories extracting of interview content and the thematic framework analysis method was used to organize and analyze the interview data to extract the themes. Results A total of 40 home-dwelling old adults were enrolled, including 20 males and 20 females aged 65-86 years with an average age of (74.4±5.6) years, 31 cases from urban areas and 9 cases from suburban areas. The interview data were analyzed and 3 themes were extracted: Comprehensive factor of the old adults is the primary factor affecting their choice of pension modes and health needs; Community health service is an important way to provide health services for home-dwelling old adults, which cannot completely meet the health needs of the old adults; Optimizing service modes, enriching service programs and increasing external support can increase the sense of contentment and promote the health of old adults. Conclusion Home-dwelling old adults are basically satisfied with the health services provided in the community, but the personal factors of old adults, the modes and programs of community health services have influenced the experience of home-dwelling old adults with community health services, inducing their growing health needs unmet. Providing professional, diversified and precise community health services, improving the quality of medical services and the mode of medical services combining the health situation of home-dwelling old adults, are of great significance to improve the community health service system and and promote the health of older adults.

Lilium brownii F. E. Brown ex Miellez var. viridulum Baker (Longya lily) is a variety of Lilium brownii F.E. Br. ex Miellez. We used HS-SPME and GC-MS to screened the tissues of L. brownii roots, stems, bulbs, and leaves and obtained 2,4-DTBP as an autotoxic substance for subsequent analysis. 2,4-DTBP was highly autotoxic in some treatment groups. Based on changes in physiological indicators, we carried out transcriptomic analysis to investigate the mechanisms of autotoxicity of substances on L. brownii and obtained 188,505 Unigenes. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses showed that L. brownii responded differently to different concentrations and treatment times of 2,4-DTBP. We observed significant changes in genes associated with ROS, phytohormones, and MAPK signaling cascades. 2,4-DTBP affects chloroplasts, the integrity of the respiratory electron transport chain, and ribosomes, causing L. brownii autotoxicity. Our findings provide a practical genomic resource for future research on L. brownii autotoxicity and evidence for the mechanism of action of autotoxic substances.

IntroductionPsycholinguistic studies have argued for the age of acquisition (AoA) of words as a marker of concept learning, showing that the semantic features of concepts themselves influence the age at which their labels are learned. However, empirical evidence suggests that semantic features such as imageability and linguistic phenomena such as frequency do not adequately predict AoA. The present study takes the developmental approach of embodied cognition and investigates the effects of sensorimotor experiences on the ease of acquisition of the concept acquired in bilinguals. Specifically, we investigated (1) whether the sensorimotor experience can explain AoA beyond frequency; (2) and whether these patterns are consistent across L1 Chinese and L2 English.MethodsWe conducted sensorimotor rating measures in both Chinese and English on 207 items in which Chinese-English bilingual adults were requested to evaluate the extent to which they experienced concepts by employing six perceptual senses and five effectors for actions located in various regions of the body. Meanwhile, data on AoA and frequency were collected.ResultsThe present study showed the sensorimotor experience was closely linked with AoAs in both languages. However, the correlation analysis revealed a trend of higher correlations between AoAs for the same concepts and L1 Chinese, relative to L2 English for the present Chinese-English bilinguals. Importantly, the hierarchical regression analysis demonstrated that after controlling for frequency, sensorimotor experience explained additional variance in L1 AoA. However, L2 sensorimotor experience did not explain the variance in L2 AoA. Sensorimotor experience explained more share of variance in L1 AoA but frequency accounted for more variance in L2 AoA.DiscussionThe findings suggest that concept acquisition should consider the grounding in appropriate sensorimotor experience beyond linguistic phenomena like frequency.

Summary: Depressive symptoms usually precede the cognitive decline in Alzheimer disease (AD) and worsen the clinical outcome. However, the neural circuitry mediating early emotional dysfunction, especially depressive symptoms in AD, remains elusive. Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is closely related to depression and vulnerable in AD. By quantitative whole-brain mapping and electrophysiological recording, we found that the decreased axonal calcium activity in neurons of ACC and the glutamatergic projection from ACC to the ventral hippocampal CA1 (vCA1) is significantly impaired in 3-month-old 5×FAD mice, which exhibit depressive-like phenotype before cognition defects in early stage. The activation of ACC-vCA1 circuit by chemogenetic manipulation efficiently ameliorated the early depressive-like behaviors in 5×FAD mice. We further identified the upregulated neuregulin-1 (Nrg1) in ACC impaired the excitatory synaptic transmission from the ACC to vCA1 in AD. Our work reveals the role of ACC-vCA1 circuit in regulating AD associated depression symptom in a mouse model of AD.

The availability of accurate toponyms in user tweets is crucial for geolocating Twitter users.However, existing methods for locating Twitter users often suffer from limited quantity and reliability of acquired toponyms, thus impacting the accuracy of user geolocation.To address this issue, a twitter user geolocation method based on single-point toponym matching and local toponym filtering was proposed.A toponym type discriminating algorithm based on the aggregation degree of locations of the toponym was designed.In the proposed algorithm, a single-point toponym database was generated to provide more reliable toponyms extracted from tweets.Then, according to a proposed local place name filtering algorithm based on the aggregation degree of user location, the aggregation degree of user location centered on the longitude and latitude of toponyms and the average longitude and latitude of users were calculated.This process helped in extracting local toponyms with a high aggregation degree, which enhances the reliability of toponyms used in geolocation.Finally, a user-toponym heterogeneous graph was constructed based on user social relationships and user mentions of toponyms, and users were located by graph representation learning and neural networks.A large number of user geolocation experiments were conducted based on two commonly used public datasets in this field, namely GEOTEXT and TW-US.Comparisons with nine existing typical methods for Twitter user geolocation, including HGNN, ReLP, and GCN, demonstrate that our proposed method achieves significantly higher geolocation accuracy.On the GEOTEXT dataset, the average error is reduced by 7.3～342.8 km, the median error is reduced by 2.4～354.4 km, and the accuracy of large area-level geolocation is improved by 1.3%～26.3%.On the TW-US dataset, the average error is reduced by 8.6～246.6 km, the median error is reduced by 5.7～149.7 km, and the accuracy of large area-level geolocation is improved by 1.5%～20.5%.

As construction projects become increasingly complex, modular integrated construction (MiC) has emerged as a pivotal solution, driving integrated development in complex projects. However, the reliance on prefabricated modules underscores the crucial role of supply chain management (SCM) in MiC, necessitating strategic planning and operational control. This study aimed to use bibliometric analysis to map the SCM knowledge domain within MiC. Through the use of keywords related to “supply chain” and “MiC”, 196 relevant papers were extracted from the Web of Science database. These papers were subjected to co-citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, and time span analysis to elucidate the historical evolution, multidisciplinary domains, and future directions in planning and control within SCM-MiC. The research identified two milestones in SCM-MiC’s historical trajectory, enhancing our understanding of its foundations. Moreover, 11 clusters were identified, illustrating the multidisciplinary nature of SCM-MiC. Dividing the literature into seven stages of the supply chain, the research outlined four research directions aligned with project complexity and technological development, highlighting current hotspots and gaps of the strategic planning and control. These directions bridge the construction management and information technology domains, guiding future SCM-MiC research within complex project management.

Construction 3D printing (C3DP) has emerged as an important force in automation and sustainable transformation of the construction industry. Despite the implementation of numerous incentive policies, its development and application remain at a relatively slow pace in developing countries. This research employs the Q methodology to explore the perspectives of China's stakeholders on the innovation policies for the development and application of C3DP. The study reviews the development of C3DP in China and identifies statements related to C3DP promotion policy and development. Based on data from C3DP industrial experts, the results reveal four distinct policy perspectives: conservative exploration, aggressive progression, intensive investigation, and tentative stimulation. A consensus exists that provides direction for policymaking though the divergences among stakeholders highlight the complexity of implementing policy mixes. This study has theoretical and practical significance in supporting policy mixes for C3DP development and adoption in fast-growing areas.

The ultra-high pressure-assisted extraction (UHPE) of total phenols from Eucommia ulmoides leaves (TPEU) was optimized and its antioxidant activity on Eucommia ulmoides seed oil was studied. The effects of UHPE pressure, UHPE time, and ethanol concentration on the extraction yield of TPEU were examined by response surface methodology. In addition, TPEU was added to Eucommia ulmoides seed oil, and the effects of TPEU on the antioxidant activity (acid value, peroxide value) of Eucommia ulmoides seed oil during storage were studied. The optimal UHPE conditions were as follows: UHPE pressure, 406 MPa; UHPE time, 8.3 min; and ethanol concentration, 60.2%. Under these UHPE conditions, the yield of TPEU was 7.58%. TPEU had a good antioxidant effect when the TPEU content was 0.06%. The antioxidant effect of TPEU was lower than that of BHA. Both TPEU and BHA have a synergistic effect.

The domain of the unknown function (DUF) gene families assumes pivotal roles in plant metabolic and stress responses. However, our comprehension of the tobacco DUF668 (NtDUF668) gene family and its specific reactions to heavy metal, drought, and salt stresses remain circumscribed. In the current investigation, a comprehensive genome-wide analysis of the NtDUF668 gene family was undertaken utilizing bioinformatics tools. The results unveiled a total of 20 members in the NtDUF668 gene family, denominated NtDUF668-01 to NtDUF668-20. Phylogenetic analyses indicated a closer genetic relationship of DUF668 genes between Nicotiana tabacum and Ipomoea batatas. The examination of gene structure and conservative motifs revealed a bifurcation into two major Clades, aligning with previous studies on DUF668 gene families from various plant species, emphasizing its highly conserved evolutionary mechanism across plants. The exploration of promoter regions of NtDUF668 genes revealed a plethora of cis-acting elements associated with abiotic and biotic stresses, light signaling, and phytohormones. Gene duplication events and selection pressure analysis disclosed the segmental duplication and strong purifying selection pressure during the evolution of NtDUF668 genes. Syntenic analysis indicated a relatively conserved evolutionary mechanism of DUF668 gene families within dicotyledons. Tissue-specific expression analysis suggested that NtDUF668 family members are potentially involved in root development, floral organ formation, and abscission. The expression patterns and qRT–PCR analysis of NtDUF668 genes implied the potentially functional involvements of NtDUF668s in response to multiple abiotic stresses. Furthermore, the stress-triggered member NtDUF668-08 exhibited specific nuclear localization. In conclusion, this genome-wide analysis illuminates the composition, phylogenetic relationships, and potential roles of the NtDUF668 gene family in abiotic stress responses. The identified candidate genes, particularly NtDUF668-08, warrant further research for functional investigation.

Abstract Background Chinese medicine usually acts as "multi-ingredients, multi-targets and multi-pathways" on complex diseases, and these action modes reflect the coordination and integrity of the treatment process with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). System pharmacology is developed based on the cross-disciplines of directional pharmacology, system biology, and mathematics, has the characteristics of integrity and synergy in the treatment process of TCM. Therefore, it is suitable for analyzing the key ingredients and mechanisms of TCM in treating complex diseases. Intracerebral Hemorrhage (ICH) is one of the leading causes of death in China, with the characteristics of high mortality and disability rate. Bring a significant burden on people and society. An increasing number of studies have shown that Chinese medicine prescriptions have good advantages in the treatment of ICH, and Ditan Decoction (DTT) is one of the commonly used prescriptions in the treatment of ICH. Modern pharmacological studies have shown that DTT may play a therapeutic role in treating ICH by inhibiting brain inflammation, abnormal oxidative stress reaction and reducing neurological damage, but the specific key ingredients and mechanism are still unclear. Methods To solve this problem, we established PPI network based on the latest pathogenic gene data of ICH, and CT network based on ingredient and target data of DTT. Subsequently, we established optimization space based on PPI network and CT network, and constructed a new model for node importance calculation, and proposed a calculation method for PES score, thus calculating the functional core ingredients group (FCIG). These core functional groups may represent DTT therapy for ICH. Results Based on the strategy, 44 ingredients were predicted as FCIG, results showed that 80.44% of the FCIG targets enriched pathways were coincided with the enriched pathways of pathogenic genes. Both the literature and molecular docking results confirm the therapeutic effect of FCIG on ICH via targeting MAPK signaling pathway and PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. Conclusions The FCIG obtained by our network pharmacology method can represent the effect of DTT in treating ICH. These results confirmed that our strategy of active ingredient group optimization and the mechanism inference could provide methodological reference for optimization and secondary development of TCM.
