Objective When the initial parking of an FAO (fully automatic operation) train in station exceeds the permitted range for door opening, the ATO (automatic train operation) system needs to re-benchmark accurately. The conventional ATO re-benchmarking method using only traction and braking commands is time-consuming, and the distance of train single movement does not meet performance requirements, affecting operational service. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the ATO re-benchmarking method based on light braking commands. Method By considering the delays in the traction and air brake systems during actual train operation, the reason for train single move distance exceeding 1 m in case of the above-mentioned ATO method using only traction and braking commands is analyzed, and the ATO re-benchmarking method is optimized based on light braking commands. The optimized one applies fixed-level braking in advance, eliminates delays caused by air brake system during the parking process， making the process of a single movement involve only the traction system delay, thereby shortening the single move distance and meeting the performance requirements of the ATO re-benchmarking function. The feasibility of the optimized ATO re-benchmarking method based on light braking commands is validated through theoretical calculations of a single move distance. Result & Conclusion At present, the door opening authorization accuracy range is ±0.5 m, and the re-benchmarking function must achieve a train single move distance of less than 1.0 m to meet the stopping accuracy correction requirements. In the conventional ATO re-benchmarking method, the longer response time and execution time of the air brake system result in single move distances exceeding 1.0 m, failing to meet the stopping accuracy correction requirements. Theoretical calculations indicate that the optimized ATO re-benchmarking method based on light braking commands can meet the requirements for a train single move distance within 1.0 m.

Delirium in critical ill patients is a complex and common neurological syndrome in the intensive care unit (ICU) that is caused by a range of structural or functional abnormalities. ICU Delirium is associated with reduced compliance, prolonged hospital stays, greater use or delayed withdrawal of sedatives, higher rates and durations of mechanical ventilation, and higher rates of mortality. The aetiology and pathogenesis of ICU delirium are unclear, and the lack of better prediction, prevention, and treatment measures leads to a non-standardized control of delirium. By searching the relevant literature, we aim in this narrative review to describe progress in the pathogenesis, predictive biomarkers, diagnosis, and treatment of ICU delirium.

BackgroundComplicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAIs), often caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria such as carbapenem-resistant A. baumannii (CRAB) and carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) are a critical challenge in ICUs. Owing to their high mortality and treatment failure rates, there is an urgent need for effective therapies. This trial will compare eravacycline to tigecycline for treating cIAIs in patients in the ICU, aiming to provide a superior treatment option.MethodsThis is a multicenter, single-blind, parallel randomized controlled trial. Adult patients in the ICU with complex abdominal infections who meet the eligibility criteria will be included. The main outcome is the all-cause 30-day mortality of patients in clinically evaluable and microbiologically evaluable populations. Secondary outcomes include the proportion of total responsive patients in the clinically evaluable population at the end of treatment and test of cure visits; the proportion of total responsive patients in the microbiologically evaluable population at the end of treatment and test of cure visits; and ICU hospitalization time and costs. Safety assessments include the incidence of various adverse events and changes in clinical laboratory test results. The subjects will be randomly assigned to receive treatment with either eravacycline or tigecycline at a 1:1 ratio. The all-cause mortality rates of patients treated with eravacycline and TGC were 17.7 and 18.7%, respectively, with an estimated actual mortality rate of 0.95. A total sample size of 262 subjects is required to reach 80% power with an α of 0.05. Considering a 10% loss rate, 292 patients will be enrolled and randomly assigned to the three groups in equal proportions.Ethics and communicationThis trial was approved by the Ethics Committee of Ansteel Group General Hospital. Both the International Mission for Prognosis and Analysis of Clinical Trials (IMPACT) and the Corticosteroid randomization after significant head injury (CRASH) models are globally acknowledged prognostic algorithms for assessing traumatic brain injury (TBI) outcomes. The aim of this study is to externalize the validation process and juxtapose the prognostic accuracy of the CRASH and IMPACT models in moderate-to-severe TBI patients in the Chinese population.

Monitoring software for traffic is not too much in this era of digital. Even cheaper is decent traffic monitoring software. You can gauge the quality of the software. It should be possible to assess the code's performance outside of a test environment. The most useful metrics are frequently those that support the program's ability to fulfil business requirements. Therefore, this project is planning to develop a traffic assessment system. The main purpose of development is to improve heavy traffic in this country – Malaysia. This system includes function vehicle detection using YOLOv5, vehicle counting with a different type (such as bus, car, truck), vehicle classification, vehicle idling time by each region, and vehicle counting for each junction. Users can draw regions and lines for each camera/video to count and record vehicles. After the traffic analysis, intelligent signal light systems that respond to loads and timing can be helpful in easing traffic congestion. Smart traffic lights may adapt to the patterns of bustle at junctions and other important road traffic places based on the number of cars, data from queue detectors, and images from cameras. Also, this report includes comparisons with StrongSORT, OC-SORT and ByteTrack and accuracy test for vehicle counting.

BackgroundPrevious studies mainly focused on risk factors in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or dementia. The aim of the study was to provide basis for preventing MCI in cognitive normal populations.MethodsThe data came from a longitudinal retrospective study involving individuals with brain magnetic resonance imaging scans, clinical visits, and cognitive assessment with interval of more than 3 years. Multiple machine-learning technologies, including random forest, support vector machine, logistic regression, eXtreme Gradient Boosting, and naïve Bayes, were used to establish a prediction model of a future risk of MCI through a combination of clinical and image variables.ResultsAmong these machine learning models; eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGB) was the best classification model. The classification accuracy of clinical variables was 65.90%, of image variables was 79.54%, of a combination of clinical and image variables was 94.32%. The best result of the combination was an accuracy of 94.32%, a precision of 96.21%, and a recall of 93.08%. XGB with a combination of clinical and image variables had a potential prospect for the risk prediction of MCI. From clinical perspective, the degree of white matter hyperintensity (WMH), especially in the frontal lobe, and the control of systolic blood pressure (SBP) were the most important risk factor for the development of MCI.ConclusionThe best MCI classification results came from the XGB model with a combination of both clinical and imaging variables. The degree of WMH in the frontal lobe and SBP control were the most important variables in predicting MCI.

Shark fins are a delicacy consumed throughout Southeast Asia. The life history characteristics of sharks and the challenges associated with regulating fisheries and the fin trade make sharks particularly susceptible to overfishing. Here, we used DNA barcoding techniques to investigate the composition of the shark fin trade in Singapore, a globally significant trade hub. We collected 505 shark fin samples from 25 different local seafood and Traditional Chinese Medicine shops. From this, we identified 27 species of shark, three species are listed as Critically Endangered, four as Endangered and ten as Vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Six species are listed on CITES Appendix II, meaning that trade must be controlled in order to avoid utilization incompatible with their survival. All dried fins collected in this study were sold under the generic term “shark fin”; this vague labelling prevents accurate monitoring of the species involved in the trade, the effective implementation of policy and conservation strategy, and could unwittingly expose consumers to unsafe concentrations of toxic metals. The top five most frequently encountered species in this study are Rhizoprionodon acutus, Carcharhinus falciformis, Galeorhinus galeus, Sphyrna lewini and Sphyrna zygaena. Accurate labelling that indicates the species of shark that a fin came from, along with details of where it was caught, allows consumers to make an informed choice on the products they are consuming. Doing this could facilitate the avoidance of species that are endangered, and similarly the consumer can choose not to purchase species that are documented to contain elevated concentrations of toxic metals.

Dynamic load and groundwater have a significant influence on the safety and stability of engineering rock mass during underground blasting excavation. In order to study the influence of dynamic load and water content on the failure and energy dissipation characteristics of rock mass, dynamic impact tests including four impact velocities and six water content levels on red sandstone were carried out with an improved SHPB test device. By analyzing the variation laws of energy reflectivity, transmissivity, and dissipation rate under different water contents, an empirical model representing the relationship between energy dissipation characteristics and water content of red sandstone was established. Screening tests were conducted on specimen fragments, and the variation law of fractal dimension of rock fracture with water content was studied according to the fractal theory. The results show that: 1) Under the same impact velocity, the energy transmissivity and water content have an exponential function relationship and a negative correlation, the energy dissipation rate increases first and then decreases with the increasing water content, and they have a quadratic function relationship. 2) Under the same water content, the energy transmissivity is negatively correlated with the impact velocity, while the energy dissipation rate is positively correlated with the impact velocity. 3) For the specimens with macroscopic failure, the failure degree of red sandstone increases with the increase of water content, with a turning point at the water content of 1%, and the fracture fractal dimension has an exponential function relationship with water content.

Initiating end-of-life conversations can be daunting for clinicians and overwhelming for patients and families. This leads to delays in communicating prognosis and preparing for the inevitable in old age, often generating potentially harmful overtreatment and poor-quality deaths. We aimed to develop an electronic resource, called Communicating Health Alternatives Tool (CHAT) that was compatible with hospital medical records software to facilitate preparation for shared decision-making across health settings with older adults deemed to be in the last year of life.The project used mixed methods including: literature review, user-directed specifications, web-based interface development with authentication and authorization; clinician and consumer co-design, iterative consultation for user testing; and ongoing developer integration of user feedback. An internet-based conversation guide to facilitate clinician-led advance care planning was co-developed covering screening for short-term risk of death, patient values and preferences, and treatment choices for chronic kidney disease and dementia. Printed summary of such discussion could be used to begin the process in hospital or community health services. Clinicians, patients, and caregivers agreed with its ease of use and were generally accepting of its contents and format. CHAT is available to health services for implementation in effectiveness trials to determine whether the interaction and documentation leads to formal decision-making, goal-concordant care, and subsequent reduction of unwanted treatments at the end of life.

In recent years, higher requirements have been placed on the response characteristics of X-ray detectors in the field of medical diagnostic imaging. Due to this, high sensitivity, high attenuation coefficient and low cost detection materials need to be developed. In this paper, the geometric model of a detector was established by Geant4 code. The absorption efficiency and mass attenuation coefficient of MAPbBr3 crystals were calculated in the energy range of 30 keV to 100 keV. Compared with the mass attenuation coefficient of the NIST database, the deviation was within 1.39%. The signal charge number and detection sensitivity of the X-ray interaction with the MAPbBr3 crystal ware calculated. Compared with the CdTe crystal and α-Se, the MAPbBr3 crystal still had a larger detection sensitivity under a smaller applied electric field, which was approximately 9 times higher than that of α-Se. This result indicated that the detection sensitivity could be greatly improved by using a high atomic number and high charge mobility-lifetime product. Based on the simulation results, the 2 mm thick MAPbBr3 crystal exhibited the highest detection sensitivity at 60 keV X-rays, which was in agreement with the experimental results.

BACKGROUND Identifying the occurrence form of iodine in soil and the law of iodine migration and transformation in soil is of great significance for evaluating the biogeochemical behavior of iodine and preventing human iodine deficiency diseases. OBJECTIVES To review the source, content, speciation, transportation, and transformation of iodine in soils; and briefly summarize the transportation of iodine between soil and plants. METHODS The source, content, speciation, transportation, and transformation characteristics of iodine in soils were reviewed. The influences of soil types, environmental factors, organic matter, microbial activity, pH, and Eh on iodine dynamics were summarized. Great emphasis was laid on the main factors affecting the sorption of iodine in soil, which is the key process regulating soil iodine mobility and bioavailability. RESULTS The dry and wet deposition of the atmosphere, the weathering of the soil parent rock, and the absorption and release of plants are the main sources of iodine in soil. Iodine contents in soil typically range from 1 to 5mg/kg. Organic iodine is the dominant form of iodine in soil due to the close association of iodine with organic matter, which is the critical factor affecting soil iodine dynamics. Sorption is the key process regulating soil iodine mobility and bioavailability. Under acidic conditions, hydroxyl groups on soil mineral surface are protonated, and thus facilitating iodine sorption via electrostatic interaction. CONCLUSIONS Due to the complex composition of soil, establishing a complete soil iodine database is the basis for exploring soil iodine related aspects. It is necessary to further seek better soil iodine analysis methods. Studying the adsorption mechanism of soil iodine and the effect of organic matter and microorganisms on iodine in soil are also an important direction for future research.

Background: As an atypical antipsychotic drug, olanzapine is one of the most commonly used drugs for delirium control. There are no systematic evaluations or meta-analyses of the efficacy and safety of olanzapine for delirium control in critically ill adults. Objectives: In this meta-analysis, we evaluated the efficacy and safety of olanzapine for delirium control in critically ill adults in the intensive care unit (ICU). Data Sources and Methods: From inception to October 2022, 12 electronic databases were searched. We retrieved randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and retrospective cohort studies of critically ill adults with delirium that compared the effects of olanzapine and other interventions, including routine care (no intervention), nonpharmaceutical interventions and pharmaceutical interventions. The main outcome measures were the (a) relief of delirium symptoms and (b) a decrease in delirium duration. Secondary outcomes were ICU and in-hospital mortality, ICU and hospital length of stay, incidence of adverse events, cognitive function, sleep quality, quality of life, mechanical ventilation time, endotracheal intubation rate and delirium recurrence rate. We applied a random effects model. Results: Data from 10 studies (four RCTs and six retrospective cohort studies) involving 7076 patients (2459 in the olanzapine group and 4617 in the control group) were included. Olanzapine did not effectively relieve delirium symptoms (OR = 1.36, 95% CI [0.83, 2.28], p = 0.21), nor did it shorten the duration of delirium [standardized mean difference (SMD) = 0.02, 95% CI [−1.04, 1.09], p = 0.97] when compared with other interventions. Pooled data from three studies showed that the use of olanzapine reduced the incidence of hypotension (OR = 0.44, 95% CI [0.20, 0.95], p = 0.04) compared with other pharmaceuticals. There was no significant difference in other secondary outcomes, including ICU or hospital length of stay, in-hospital mortality, extrapyramidal reactions, QTc interval prolongation, or overall incidence of other adverse reactions. The number of included studies was not sufficient for performing a comparison between olanzapine and no intervention. Conclusion: Compared with other interventions, olanzapine has no advantage in alleviating delirium symptoms and shortening delirium duration in critically ill adults. However, there is some evidence that the rate of hypotension was lower in patients who received olanzapine than in those who received other pharmaceutical interventions. There was a nonsignificant difference in the length of ICU or hospital stay, in-hospital mortality, and other adverse reactions. This study provides reference data for delirium research and clinical drug intervention strategies in critically ill adults. BackgroundAgitation is very common in the intensive care unit (ICU). The causes include pain, delirium, underlying disease, withdrawal syndrome, and some drug treatments. The practical goal of ICU treatment is to find an appropriate sedation regimen to reduce pain, restlessness, and delirium. Previous trials have examined the use of dexmedetomidine, but no trials have evaluated the efficacy and safety of ciprofol, a new sedative drug.MethodsThis study was a multicenter, single-blind, 3-arm parallel randomized controlled trial. ICU patients aged ≥ 18 years with agitation and delirium who met the eligibility criteria were included. The main outcome was the proportion of patients who needed additional study medication or midazolam due to agitation within 4 h after the first intravenous injection of the study medication. The secondary outcomes included the pass rate as indicated by a Richmond Agitation-Sedation Scale (RASS) score < +1, the effectiveness rate of improving delirium symptoms, the number of recurrences of agitation within 24 h, the incidence of rescue treatment, the dose and cost of analgesic and sedative drugs, the length and cost of ICU stay, and the 30-day survival period. The safety evaluation included the incidence of adverse events (hypotension, bradycardia, hypoxia, etc.) and the rate of endotracheal intubation. The subjects were randomly assigned to receive ciprofol, dexmedetomidine, or normal saline at a ratio of 1:1:1. The rates of additional drug administration within 4 h after the first injection of the study drug in the three groups were 40, 50, and 90%, respectively. A total sample size of 81 subjects was required to reach 90% power and an α of 0.05. Considering a 20% loss rate, 102 patients were enrolled and randomly assigned to the three groups in equal proportions.Ethics and communicationThis trial was approved by the Ethics Committee of Dalian Municipal Central Hospital. The inter-porosity transfer is one of the decisive factors for gas development in fractured-porous gas reservoirs. In this article, we establish an analytical solution for the inter-porosity transfer rate and producing degree of matrix. Then, we study the law of inter-porosity transfer based on the solution. Through the Stehfest inversion transform, the typical curves of inter-porosity transfer rate and producing degree of matrix are plotted. It is found that the producing degree of matrix is close to zero in the initial period. Then, the inter-porosity transfer rate begins to increase, and the producing degree of matrix becomes larger. In the late period, the producing degree of matrix remains constant. In addition, the differences between the quasi-steady state model and the three kinds of unsteady state models are compared. It is found that the inter-porosity transfer occurs earlier in unsteady models. However, when pressure propagates to the external boundary, the transfer rate is equal between quasi-steady and unsteady models. It is also found that the inter-porosity transfer rate is slightly different in the three unsteady models, whereas in the spherical model it is largest at the intermediate period. Next, we discuss the influence of key parameters. The results reveal that gas reservoir radius, storage ratio, and inter-porosity flow factor can play an essential role in inter-porosity transfer. The findings of this study can improve our understanding of gas flow between fractures and matrix. Besides, it helps field engineers better understand the variation law of gas productivity in fractured-porous gas reservoirs, which can provide the scientific basis for making a development scheme.

Most of the existing researches on accelerators of binary convolutional neural networks based on FPGA are aimed at small-scale image input, while the applications mainly take large-scale convolutional neural networks such as YOLO and VGG as backbone networks. The hardware of convolutional neural network is optimized and designed from the two aspects including the network topology and pipeline stage, so as to solve the bottleneck of logic resources and improve the performance of the binary VGG network accelerator. CIFAR-10 dataset resized to 224×224 was used to verify the optimized design of VGG convolutional neural network accelerator based on FPGA. Experimental results showed that the system achieved 81% recognition accuracy and 219.9 FPS recognition speed，which verified the effectiveness of the optimization method.

There is individual droplet burning phenomenon in spray flames but the ignition prediction and criteria are lack of both experimental and theoretical study. In this paper, firstly based on the energy balance analysis method, two new droplet ignition models are proposed by analyzing the single droplet evaporation and ignition process in relatively static high temperature air environment. These new models can be used to predict the droplet ignition phenomenon in spray flames. Then, single droplets of RP3 aviation kerosene, common kerosene and diesel were suspended in static air environment with ambient temperature from 845 ​K to 1085 ​K to test the ignition limits of the fuel droplet. The experimental ignition boundary was obtained by measuring and recording the minimum ignitable initial diameters of the experimental droplet in every temperature condition. The experimental results show that the ignitable minimum initial diameter of the fuel droplet decreases along with the increase of ambient temperature. And at the same ambient temperature, the minimum ignitable initial diameter of common kerosene droplet is the biggest, then is diesel and RP3 aviation kerosene is the smallest. Finally, the predicted ignition boundaries of the two new models are compared with the experimental data. And the comparison results show that the models’ predictions are in good agreement with the experimental data, whose error is within 10%.

Based on the characteristics of persulfate (PS) activation that can quickly and effectively remove organic pollutants in water, a new catalytic material of carbon nitride supported Fe-Co diatom (FeCo@N-C) was prepared for PS activation to degrade orange II (OII). The XRD pattern showed that eight characteristic diffraction peaks, including CoFe2O4 diffraction absorption peaks. The FT-IR inferred that C-N/C=N, C=O, and O-H functional groups may exist. SEM observed the surface morphology of the synthetic material, and Fe and Co can be successfully loaded on the synthetic material. The activation effect of FeCo@N-C activator on PS was significantly improved, and the decoloration removal rate reached 81.66% at 20 min, 57% higher than the PS alone, FeCo@N-C activator had a good pH and temperature adaptability. FeCo@N-C activator could promoted the production of free radicals which can degrade OII efficiently.

Abstract We report a phosphine-free one-pot method to synthesize ZnSe/CdS/ZnS core-shell quantum dots (QDs) with composite type-II/type-I structures and consequent reabsorption suppression properties. The as-synthesized QDs possess high efficient red emission (with quantum yield of 82%) and high optical stability. Compared to type-I QDs, the ZnSe/CdS/ZnS QDs show larger Stokes shift and lower reabsorption which can reduce the emission loss and improve the level of fluorescence output. The ZnSe/CdS/ZnS QDs are used as fluorescent labels to exploit their application in fluorescence-linked immunosorbent assay (FLISA) for the first time in the detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.85 ng/mL, which is more sensitive than that of CdSe/ZnS type-I QDs based FLISA (1.00 ng/mL). The results indicate that the ZnSe/CdS/ZnS type-II/type-I QDs may be good candidates for applications in biomedical information detection.
