Abstract: The current study aimed to investigate the protective effect of resveratrol (RSV) on neurovascular units (NVUs) in rats induced by acute cerebral ischemia. RSV could reduce the damage to I/R rats, and the optimal concentration was 40 mg/kg/d. RSV may improve the permeability of the BBB and the destruction of its ultrastructure by upregulating ZO-1, claudin-5, and occludin to reduce the degree of brain edema after IR. Many structures in the NVUs were also damaged after I/R. RSV was found to have a protective effect on NeuN, GFAP, and LN in the NVUs. With the extension of RSV administration time, the protective effect became more significant. This protective effect may be related to the upregulation of NeuN and LN and the inhibition of the expression of GFAP. RSV could reduce neuronal apoptosis by upregulating XIAP and downregulating Smac and caspase-9. The inhibition of RSV on the increase in glial cells may be related to the inhibition of connexin 43 protein expression. RSV could inhibit the content of inflammatory factors IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in the brain tissue of IR rats. RSV has a protective effect on the NVUs-induced injury, which may be related to the regulation of apoptosis and inflammatory signal pathway.

Drought and low temperature are two key environmental factors that induce adult citrus flowering. However, the underlying regulation mechanism is poorly understood. The bZIP transcription factor FD is a key component of the florigen activation complex (FAC) which is composed of FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT), FD, and 14-3-3 proteins. In this study, isolation and characterization of CiFD in citrus found that there was alternative splicing (AS) of CiFD, forming two different proteins (CiFDα and CiFDβ). Further investigation found that their expression patterns were similar in different tissues of citrus, but the subcellular localization and transcriptional activity were different. Overexpression of the CiFD DNA sequence (CiFD-DNA), CiFDα, or CiFDβ in tobacco and citrus showed early flowering, and CiFD-DNA transgenic plants were the earliest, followed by CiFDβ and CiFDα. Interestingly, CiFDα and CiFDβ were induced by low temperature and drought, respectively. Further analysis showed that CiFDα can form a FAC complex with CiFT, Ci14-3-3, and then bind to the citrus APETALA1 (CiAP1) promoter and promote its expression. However, CiFDβ can directly bind to the CiAP1 promoter independently of CiFT and Ci14-3-3. These results showed that CiFDβ can form a more direct and simplified pathway that is independent of the FAC complex to regulate drought-induced flowering through AS. In addition, a bHLH transcription factor (CibHLH96) binds to CiFD promoter and promotes the expression of CiFD under drought condition. Transgenic analysis found that CibHLH96 can promote flowering in transgenic tobacco. These results suggest that CiFD is involved in drought- and low-temperature-induced citrus flowering through different regulatory patterns.

High-molecular-weight glutenin subunits (HMW-GS) contribute to dough elasticity and bread baking quality in wheat. In this study, wheat varieties were classified based on their HMW-GS composition into three groups: 1Dx5 (5 + 10, Gaoyou 8901, Xinmai 28, Xinmai 19, Xinmai 26 and Jinbaoyin), 1Dx2 (2 + 12, Zhoumai 24, Xinmai 9 and Yumai) and 1Dx4 (4 + 12, Aikang 58). Sequence analysis showed that 1Dx-GY8901, 1Dx-XM28, 1Dx-XM19 and 1Dx-XM26 were similar to the 1Dx5 gene and clustered on the same branch, while 1Dx-AK58, 1Dx-ZM24, 1Dx-JBY, 1Dx-YM, 1Dx-XM9 and 1Dx-JBY were more similar to the 1Dx2 gene and clustered on the same branch with 1Dx.2.2. There was a mutation of Ser to Cys at position S2, for an extra Cys in the repeat regions of 1Dx-XM19, 1Dx-XM26, 1Dx-XM28 and 1Dx-GY8901. The wheat HMW-GS genes exhibited similar percentages of α-helix, extended strand, β-turn and random coil structure, with ranges of 13.33–13.59, 4.77–5.78, 7.08–9.18 and 72.3–73.94%, respectively. Sequence conservation and the composition of HMW-GS subunits were also analysed for a series of strong gluten wheat varieties, Xinmai 9 (1, 7 + 8, 2 + 12), Xinmai 19 (1, 7 + 9, 5 + 10), Xinmai 26 (1, 7 + 8, 5 + 10) and Xinmai 28 (1, 7 + 9, 5 + 10). The results of this work should facilitate future breeding efforts and provide the theoretical basis for wheat quality improvement.

Isolated microspore culture (IMC) is a powerful single cell system with many advantages compared with other culturing methods for Brassica species. For nearly 40 years, numerous studies have explored the influencing factors on the isolated microspore process, the ability of microspore-derived embryos (MDEs) to germinate and develop into plantlets, and the process of plant regeneration in Brassica species. In this review, the influencing factors, changes in gene expression, and the physiological and biochemical changes during the procedure are discussed at length. Ultimately, this review presents a standard protocol to improve the efficiency of IMC in Brassica haploid and double haploid (DH) production technologies.

Background Central pontine myelinolysis (CPM) usually occurs during rapid correction of serum osmolality, typically with brainstem lesions presenting uniform signals following enhancement on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We report a case of CPM caused by diabetes, which was characterized by glioma-like imaging features and the patient responded well to corticosteroids. Case summary A 49-year-old man with type 2 diabetes was admitted due to numbness and weakness for 6 mo with progressive aggravation for 2 wk. His complete blood count, serum electrolytes, renal and liver function parameters were within the normal range. MRI showed mass lesions in the brainstem, with unusually inhomogeneous signal intensity after contrast-enhanced scans. His symptoms worsened after hypoglycemic therapy. Due to his clinical history and examination results, CPM was considered the most likely diagnosis. Treatment with corticosteroids was administered with a methylprednisolone pulse in the acute phase followed by dose tapering. During the 8-mo follow-up period, his clinical symptoms and imaging features significantly improved. Conclusion Diabetes could rarely be accompanied by CPM, and patients who experience this neurological complication could benefit from corticosteroid treatment. Clinicians should recognize the special relationship between diabetes and CPM, and improve awareness of early identification and appropriate treatment.

Straw mulching farming is currently an effective dry farming technique for improving arid soil environments. Straw mulching technology can increase the infiltration capacity of soil water and improve crop yield and water use efficiency. In this study, the aim is to improve the soil water holding capacity, water retaining capacity, and comprehensive water use efficiency of crops in dry farmland. First, the response surface model is used to study and analyse the optimal parameters of straw returning and its mulching technology, and then, the crop yield, water consumption, and comprehensive water use efficiency of spring corn under different mulching conditions during 2017-2019 are studied. The test results show that the optimized parameters obtained by the response surface model are as follows: film thickness is 0.03 mm, straw returning amount is 4500 kg/hm2, straw particle size is 5 mm, and straw returning depth is 25 mm. At this time, the maximum soil water storage can reach 404.50 mm. The results of the straw mulching test show that under 4500 kg/hm2 mulching, the soil has more water storage, higher soil water content, and a simultaneous increase in water consumption, which is conducive to the efficient use of limited precipitation by crops. The field experiment for three years shows that 4500 kg/hm2 straw (wheat) mulching in the dry farming area of southern Ningxia can better store water and protect soil moisture, promote the virtuous cycle of farmland soil water, and show outstanding performance in improving corn yield and water use efficiency, which can be popularized and implemented in spring corn production in this area.

Background The role of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in the pathogenesis of testicular damage is uncertain. Methods We investigated the virological, pathological, and immunological changes in testes of hamsters challenged by wild-type SARS-CoV-2 and its variants with intranasal or direct testicular inoculation using influenza virus A(H1N1)pdm09 as control. Results Besides self-limiting respiratory tract infection, intranasal SARS-CoV-2 challenge caused acute decrease in sperm count, serum testosterone and inhibin B at 4–7 days after infection; and chronic reduction in testicular size and weight, and serum sex hormone at 42–120 days after infection. Acute histopathological damage with worsening degree of testicular inflammation, hemorrhage, necrosis, degeneration of seminiferous tubules, and disruption of orderly spermatogenesis were seen with increasing virus inoculum. Degeneration and death of Sertoli and Leydig cells were found. Although viral loads and SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein expression were markedly lower in testicular than in lung tissues, direct intratesticular injection of SARS-CoV-2 demonstrated nucleocapsid expressing interstitial cells and epididymal epithelial cells, While intranasal or intratesticular challenge by A(H1N1)pdm09 control showed no testicular infection or damage. From 7 to 120 days after infection, degeneration and apoptosis of seminiferous tubules, immune complex deposition, and depletion of spermatogenic cell and spermatozoa persisted. Intranasal challenge with Omicron and Delta variants could also induce similar testicular changes. This testicular damage can be prevented by vaccination. Conclusions SARS-CoV-2 can cause acute testicular damage with subsequent chronic asymmetric testicular atrophy and associated hormonal changes despite a self-limiting pneumonia in hamsters. Awareness of possible hypogonadism and subfertility is important in managing convalescent coronavirus disease 2019 in men.

MADS-box genes are involved in various developmental processes including vegetative development, flower architecture, flowering, pollen formation, seed and fruit development. However, the function of most MADS-box genes and their regulation mechanism are still unclear in woody plants compared with model plants. In this study, a MADS-box gene (CiMADS43) was identified in citrus. Phylogenetic and sequence analysis showed that CiMADS43 is a GOA-like Bsister MADS-box gene. It was localized in the nucleus and as a transcriptional activator. Overexpression of CiMADS43 promoted early flowering and leaves curling in transgenic Arabidopsis. Besides, overexpression or knockout of CiMADS43 also showed leaf curl phenotype in citrus similar to that of CiMADS43 overexpressed in Arabidopsis. Protein–protein interaction found that a SEPALLATA (SEP)-like protein (CiAGL9) interacted with CiMADS43 protein. Interestingly, CiAGL9 also can bind to the CiMADS43 promoter and promote its transcription. Expression analysis also showed that these two genes were closely related to seasonal flowering and the development of the leaf in citrus. Our findings revealed the multifunctional roles of CiMADS43 in the vegetative and reproductive development of citrus. These results will facilitate our understanding of the evolution and molecular mechanisms of MADS-box genes in citrus.

Acute subdural hematoma (SDH) is a rare occurrence in chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) patients with only two cases reported in literature. However, sudden severe acute SDH caused by CML has not been reported on.Our patient was admitted for 'sudden unconsciousness for more than 1 hour'. Computed tomography (CT) angiography revealed a large amount of acute SDH on the left side. Physical exam showed the patient's left pupil was dilated and signs of cerebral herniation were present. The preoperative coagulation profile was normal. Emergency craniotomy for hematoma clearance and decompression was performed. During the surgery, a ruptured cerebral artery was located in the perisylvian region and hemostasis was achieved through electrocautery. Pre-operative white blood count was 58,100 cell/µl, with post-operative bone marrow examination、cytogenetic analysis and RT-PCR detection revealing a diagnosis of CML, for which hydroxyurea chemotherapy was initiated. Leukocyte count of the patient gradually returned to normal. After 24 days, the patient regained consciousness and on day 30, repeat CT scan showed no SDH recurrence. The patient recovered with no neurological deficits and achieved a good prognosis.

Background Chronic subdural hematoma(CSDH) is a common condition in the elderly which can be treated by burr hole trephination and drainage. But completely organized chronic subdural hematoma(OCSH) is rare which cannot be cured by this technique, only treated by enlarged craniotomy and membranectomy.Case Presentation A 74-year old man admitted to hospital for loss of consciousness for one hour following a car accident. Cranial computed tomography (CT) showed a large mixed density hematoma on the left, acute subdural hematoma, cerebral contusion and subarachnoid hemorrhage. A left standard large craniotomy was performed. A large and completely OCSH with no liquid component was found during surgery, at the same time, we found no obvious adhesions between the inner membrane and the brain tissue, which was easy to separate and finally removed completely. Conclusion Craniotomy with membranectomy is a feasible method for treating completely OCSH.

A novel peroxidase has been isolated from fresh fruiting bodies of the mushroom Pleurotus pulmonarius, with a purification protocol of ion exchange chromatography on DEAE-cellulose, affinity chromatography on ConA-Sepharose, ion exchange chromatography on CM-cellulose, and gel filtration by FPLC on Superdex 75. The peroxidase was unadsorbed on either DEAE-cellulose or ConA-Sepharose, but was adsorbed on CM-cellulose. It exhibited a molecular mass of 55 kDa in gel filtration and also in sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, indicating that it is a monomeric protein. It possessed a distinctive N-terminal amino acid sequences from other isolated mushroom peroxidases. The optimal pH and temperature for the enzyme were 4.0 and 70 °C, respectively. All enzyme activity was destroyed after exposured in 100 °C for 10 min. The peroxidase did not exhibit HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibitory activity and antifungal activity. The stability against high temperature and extreme pH supported that the enzyme could be a potential peroxidase source for special industrial applications.

We choose the optimal cross-sectional shape of the polymer five-lumen catheter products as the goal, and the simulation and experiment of extrusion process parameters were carried out. Firstly, the effect of gas injection pressure and extrusion rate on the extrusion expansion ratio, and the influence of gas injection pressure, extrusion rate and traction speed on the cross-section size, was studied by using Polyflow software; The effects of gas injection pressure, extrusion rate and traction velocity on the five-lumen catheter were studied, the experimental results are compared with the numerical simulation results. The optimal combination of the parameters of the extruded five-lumen catheter is obtained by orthogonal experiment, I.e., the head temperature T = 210 °C, injection pressure P = 4515Pa, the extrusion rate v = 4.5mm / s, pulling speed vp = 33.83mm / s; The corresponding relative error is: Primary lumen relative error Y1 = 3.46%, secondary lumen relative error Y2 = 3.33%, the minimum relative error lumen Y3 = 1%, the outer contour relative error Y0 = 0.61%.

A phytochemical investigation on the 70% EtOH extract of the bark of Dysoxylum hainanense resulted in the isolation of four new triterpenoids, dysoxyhaines A-D (1-4). Structural elucidation of all the compounds were performed by spectral methods such as 1D and 2D (1H1H COSY, HMQC, and HMBC) NMR spectroscopy, in addition to high resolution mass spectrometry. The isolated components were evaluated in vitro for anti-inflammatory activities for Cox-1 and Cox-2, and radical scavenging potential using ABTS·+ and DPPH test. As a result, nor seco-olean type triterpenoid 1 exhibited significant anti-inflammatory potential, while tirucallane triterpenoids 3 and 4 showed radical scavenging activities.

Nine new sesquiterpenoids, clitocybulol derivatives, clitocybulols G-O (1-9) and three known sesquiterpenoids, clitocybulols C-E (10-12), were isolated from the solid culture of the edible fungus Pleurotus cystidiosus. The structures of compounds 1-12 were determined by spectroscopic methods. The absolute configurations of compounds 1-9 were assigned via the circular dichroism (CD) data analysis. Compounds 1, 6 and 10 showed moderate inhibitory activity against protein tyrosine phosphatase-1B (PTP1B) with IC50 values of 49.5, 38.1 and 36.0μM, respectively.

The development of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) has been associated with the ingestion of aristolochic acid (AA) in Chinese herbs. The tumors are more malignant and patients have a worse prognosis in China compared with that in Western countries. Recently, whole-genome and exome sequencing of AA-associated UTUCs found that the most frequently mutated gene was lysine demethylase 6A (KDM6A). However, its biological role and clinical significance have not yet been defined in patients with UTUC in China. A total of 108 surgically resected UTUC samples were obtained. Using immunohistochemistry, the protein expression level of KDM6A in the tumors was investigated together with the clinical and pathological characteristics of the patients, including survival times. In the present study, the expression level of KDM6A was significantly lower in UTUC specimens compared with that in samples from the normal urothelium. Lower KDM6A expression was also found to be significantly associated with a higher tumor grade and shorter cancer-specific and disease-free survival times (P=0.023 and P=0.033, respectively). In addition, using immunohistochemical analysis, no positive association was found between KDM6A expression and the expression of H3K27me3 or histone-lysine N-methyltransferase EZH2, a histone methyltransferase that generates H3K27me3. The results of the present study indicated that decreased KDM6A expression level was significantly associated with tumor grade and decreased survival time in UTUC, suggesting that KDM6A expression could be used as a prognostic marker in patients with UTUC in China.

This paper proposes a full-order sliding-mode stator flux observer. The observer takes the stator current and “active flux” as the state variables in the stationary reference frame, and can realize “active flux” estimation in the direct torque controlled interior permanent magnet synchronous motor driving system. Therefore, the stator flux and electromagnetic torque can be calculated with estimated "active flux" according to the relationship between "active flux", stator flux and electromagnetic torque. As a result, the IPMSM high-performance speed closed-loop control is achieved. Simulation results are presented to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

GATA binding protein 3 (GATA3) and mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency contribute to the development of urothelial carcinoma. However, the combined expression of GATA3 and microsatellite instability (MSI) in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) and its prognostic value have not been investigated. Here, we immunohistochemically stained GATA3 and MMR proteins in 108 UTUC samples. GATA3 was positive in 74 cases, and its expression was significantly lower than in adjacent benign urothelium (P < 0.001). Loss of GATA3 expression was statistically associated with adverse clinicopathologic parameters, such as advanced stage, lymphovascular invasion, neural invasion, lymph node metastasis, and extensive necrosis. Cancer-specific survival (CSS, P = 0.028) and disease-free survival (DFS, P = 0.024) were significantly shorter in patients with GATA3 negative tumors than in patients with GATA3 positive tumors. The absence of MMR proteins was observed in 8.3% of the cases, and focal staining was identified in 13.0%. When using “lax criteria” which resulted in counting cases as negative where MMR staining was in fact focally positive (< 5%), we found that GATA3 was inversely associated with MSI (P = 0.005). Moreover, GATA3−/microsatellite stability (MS) tumors were correlated with advanced pT stage (P < 0.001) and poor outcome (P = 0.019 for CSS, P = 0.016 for DFS) compared with GATA3+/ MSI ones. The GATA3−/MSI cases had unfavorable clinical outcomes compared with GATA3+/MSI cases (P = 0.008 for CSS, P = 0.023 for DFS). This finding raises a question as to whether GATA3 interacts with MSI through the TGF-β signaling pathway and regulates UTUC progression.

Cynodon dactylon has become a dominant riparian species in the reservoir region after the Three Gorges project was finished. In order to determine the effect of the species in soil conservation and slope reinforcement and the variation over time, the soil erosion resistance and shear strength of plants soil-root systems were tested during different seasons in a year through control experiment. Results showed that C. dactylon roots enhanced significantly soil conservation and slope reinforcement. The tensile strength of C. dactylon roots reached from 65.34 to 91.22Kpa/mm2 after three to twelve month growth, so did the soil erosion resistance coefficient from 0.34 to 0.86, shear strength from 20.82 to 25.98Kpa increasing by 39.62%, 154.90% and 24.74% respectively. We conclude that the temporal dynamics of C. dactylon roots influenced the performance of soil-root system in soil conservation and slope reinforcement.

The soil-root system formatted by plant roots and soil has a good effect in soil reinforcement and slope protection. Setaria viridis is a common species distributing in the three gorges reservoir region. In order to determine the performance of the species in soil reinforcement and slope protection and its variation characteristics on the water-level-fluctuation belt, we tested the tensile strength, anti-scouribility, anti-erodibility and shear resistance of the community soil-root systems. The results showed that the root system of S. viridis community grew better with the increase of altitude under the influence of water level fluctuation. The soil - root system of S. viridis community has an effect on soil reinforcement and slope protection. Its tensile strength of roots ranged from 60 to 90 Kpa/mm2,and its anti-scouribility enhancement coefficient, soil anti-erodibility enhancement coefficient and shear strength of soil-root system reached 0.15 to 0.90, 0.30 to 0.73, and 9 to 24 Kpa respectively. Its effects in soil reinforcement increased with the altitude increases. The correlation analysis indicated that the effects related significantly with root biomass. It is concluded that spatial changes of effects of soil-root systems in its soil reinforcement and slope protection might result from difference of root growth caused by water level fluctuation.

Through the analysis and study the properties, characteristics and present conditions of the flue slime of blast furnace, a suggestion was made of recovering carbon and iron concentrate from the flue dust using a beneficiation technology consisting of magnetic separation-gravity separation-flotation. The laboratory test achieved good technical and economical results, reaching the expected effect. The technology can be applied in production and popularized.

The tailings and slag based mine filling cementitious materials was prepared by sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide alkali-activated tailings and slag. Through the test that the cementing materials in the best ratio of raw materials: when slag and tailings admixture is 1.25, the content of NaOH was 50%, the amount of sodium hydroxide for 50%, water cement ratio of 0.22, under the condition of normal temperature curing 7 days, eventually making a compressive strength of 52.3MPa cementing materials.

For chengde iron tailings pulp, make the pH value, pulp density, density of tailings determination, then carried on the laboratory test, the pulp density 3.84%, use the 2 # flocculant : 1.2 g/m3, tailings concentrated overflow water suspended solid content is 216 mg/L, meet the national discharge standards, by the test it can be used to production water.

In order to better exploit and utilize the oolitic hematite ore resource in Zhangjiakou region, staged grinding-separation process consisting of high intensity magnetic separation(HIMS) and reverse floatation was adopted in the beneficiation test on the regionally representative oolitic hematite ore of Longyan Iron Mine, Xuan Stee1. The test results indicate that，with Slong pulsating high gradient magnetic separation as HIMS equipment，with NaOH，starch，CaO and TS as flotation reagents，and at a grind of 65％ -200 mesh for the primary grinding and 95％-200 mesh for the secondary grinding，an iron concentrate grading 62.34％ and having an iron recovery of 53.07％ can be achieved after two stage HIMS and one roughing—one cleaning reverse flotation.

This paper use dust particles which is produced by crushing limestone to replace the same amount of cement in different proportions, study the performance of cement mortar, and determine the best dosage of limestone dust. Its size is less than 0.08mm. The result shows that limestone dust has water-reduce effect and does not reduce the strength of the mortar when the dosage of limestone dust is less than 12%. Meanwhile the addition of limestone powder can improve the shrinkage property and the durability of sulfate. It explains that limestone dust has a certain activity, not the inert material.

Through the analysis and study the properties, characteristics and present conditions of the flue slime of blast furnace dust, a suggestion was made of recovering carbon and iron concentrate from the blast furnace dust using a beneficiation technology consisting of gravity separation-flotation. The laboratory test results indicated that it can obtain the iron/carbon concentrate with a grade of iron 53.41%, carbon 65.21% at a recovery rate of iron 51.33%, carbon 69.29%. This mineral processing technology achieved good technical and economical results, reaching the expected effect. The technology can be applied in production and popularized.

In order to broaden the utilization of desulfurization gypsum in China and achieve the direct usage of desulfurization gypsum, in this paper, Polycarboxylic acid water-reducer (HC), Naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde polycondensate (NF) and Sulfonated melamine formaldehyde resin (SM) were selected as water reducer to modify desulfurization gypsum. The experiment results are as follows: SM water reducer has little effect on setting time of desulfurization gypsum, although it is helpful to increase the strength of the gypsum-sample, however, compared with HC and NF, it has no obvious effect. About HC water reducer, it has obvious effect on setting time of desulfurization gypsum, so does it to desulfurization gypsum strength, but, higher water using of normal consistency will do adverse effect on the whole with the increase of the dosage. NF water reducer has the similar effect on setting time and sample's strength on desulfurization gypsum with HC, but the dominant changes have no discipline among different mixing amounts with these two water reducer. Lower water using of normal consistency benefits the retention of the sample's strengths.

The change of fluctuating rhythm of water level resulted from the construction of the Three Gorges Hydropower Project impacts the composition and structure of riverbank plant communities and plant growth in the reservoir area, which further affects the effects of plant root systems on soil conservation and slope stabilization. The changing trends of riverside ecological environment and vegetation in the reservoir area were analyzed in this paper, so was the study of mechanism on plant root systems in soil conservation and slope stabilization. Some suggestions were put forward finally for the mechanism research of pioneer plant roots in riverbank soil conservation and slope stabilization. It was suggested that the effects and mechanism of plant roots in soil conservation and slope stabilization in the Three Gorges reservoir area could be evaluated and uncovered by studying the temporal and spatial dynamics of root tensile strength, erosion resistance, shear resistance, soil physical and chemical properties, and their relationship with dynamics of the pioneer plant root structure responding to environmental changes induced by the construction of the hydropower project. The study also should include field investigation and simulated experiments in laboratory. The field investigation could reveal the changes of temporal and spatial dynamics of pioneer plant roots’ tensile strength, erosion resistance, shear resistance, and soil physical properties. The simulated experiments could evaluate quantitatively the relationship between plant root structure and their effects on soil conservation and slope stabilization.

This paper, a comprehensive analysis of selective flocculation am fine hematite selected based on the combination of soluble starch and the characteristics of acrylamide was prepared soluble starch - grafting of acrylamide polymer flocculant. Conditions of single-factor experiment studied the conditions on the starch - the impact of acrylamide polymerization and to the level of starch graft ratio to measure the various conditions on the polymerization to determine the optimal conditions of each are as follows: initiator using cerium nitrate Ammonium; initiator concentration 0.001moL / L; AM / soluble starch mass ratio of 2:1; reaction time of 2h; the reaction temperature is 60 °C. In terms of single-factor test, designed a four factors and three levels of the orthogonal test, the optimum conditions are: starch and monomer mass ratio of 1:2; initiator concentration of 0.001 mol / L; the reaction temperature is 65 °C; reaction time was 1.5h. Under these conditions, starch and the grafting rate of 153.24. By scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectrum we can see, the namely, the resulting polymer soluble starch and acrylamide graft copolymer. By hematite flocculation test we can see, with flocculants prepared by flocculation, its ability to better than selective flocculation.
