An attempt has been made in this work to green synthesize nickel nanoparticles using the aqueous flower extract of Moringa oleifera, a common plant in which all parts are edible and rich in iron content, through the biosynthesis method. The synthesized Moringa oleifera flower extract nanorods were characterized by UV–Vis. spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction analysis and Transmission Electron Microscopy. In addition, the antimicrobial activity of the nanorods was evaluated. The nanorods were found to be crystalline in nature with rod-like structures having a mean particle size of 35 nm.

본 연구는 소셜미디어 이용과 실제 정치참여간 관련성을 실증적으로 살펴보기 위해, 박근혜 전 대통령의 탄핵을 요구하는 광화문 촛불집회 참여자들을 대상으로 현장 설문을 통해 이루어졌다. 당시 박근혜-최순실 게이트에서 드러난 권력의 사유화 및 최고 권력자들의 부패에 대해서 많은 시민들은 인터넷과 소셜미디어를 중심으로 비판 담론을 형성하였다. 나아가 집회 현장에 대한 포스팅이나 집회 참여를 독려하는 게시글 등이 소셜미디어를 통해 널리 공유되었는데, 이는 세계사적으로도 유례가 없는 시민들의 자발적인 대규모 평화집회로 기록되었다. 이 연구에서는 소셜미디어 이용자들의 대화를 크게 ‘읽기’와 ‘쓰기’로 나누고, 읽기와 쓰기에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 살펴보았다. 또한 읽기와 쓰기가 실제 정치참여를 매개하고 있는지 여부와 이용자의 인구통계학적 속성, 정치 인식, 주사용 소셜미디어 서비스가 광화문 집회 참여에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다.

본 논문은 토픽 모델링(Topic Modeling)의 latent Dirichlet allocation(LDA) 분석 방법을 적용하여 박근혜 정부 4년간 관련 신문 사설을 분석한 연구이다. 수집된 사설은 LDA를 적용하여 토픽(Topic)으로 분류하고 토픽별 보도량을 살펴봄으로써 박근혜 관련 사설에 나타난 국내의 보수와 진보성향을 대표하는 조선일보와 한겨레의 이슈소유권을 비교 분석하였다. 빅데이터 분석 결과, 총 23개의 주요 토픽이 도출되었는데, 토픽의 점유율 특성으로 볼 때 조선일보는 국회, 정당, 북핵, 경제, 지명직 인사 등과 관련하여 지속적으로 점유율 우위를 점하고 있었고, 정치와 경제 및 북핵 관련 공안 이슈를 지속적으로 제기했다. 이에 반해 한겨레는 폭로 저널리즘 성향이 강하게 나타났는데, 우리사회의 주요 정치, 사회, 경제 부문의 문제가 있는 상황을 꾸준히 제기하면서 새로운 토픽을 지속 발굴, 보도하는 성향을 확인했다. 연구진은 커뮤니케이션 연구에서 토픽 모델링이라는 빅데이터 분석 방법을 차용함으로써 기존에 정성적으로 많이 진행해왔던 내용분석에 대한 보완적 방법으로 대규모 텍스트 분석을 위한 의미 있는 접근이기를 기대해본다.

Voice Operated Intelligent Fire Extinguishing Robotic Vehicle can be controlled by RF communication. This Project demonstrates the research and implementation of Voice Controlled Intelligent Fire Extinguishing Robotic Vehicle. The vehicle is controlled through User Voice Command. The voice input allows a user to interact with the robot which is familiar to most of the people. It can also sense the temperature which has self-defensive ability so that there will be no more harm to the robot. The advantages of speech activated robots are hands-free and fast data input operations. The voice commands navigate the robot in the required direction and the outlet of the water pump can be controlled by our voice. The medium of interaction between humans and Robotic Vehicle is through the VB (Visual Basic) Software. The complete system consists of three subsystems, the Visual Basic Software, transmitter section and the receiver section (on vehicle). The results prove that proposed robotic Vehicle is capable of controlling fire, avoiding obstacles. This Robotic vehicle can be used in Rescue operations during fire accidents where the possibility for service men to enter the fire prone areas is very less.
