This paper aims to propose a new multi-attribute decision making (MADM) method in complicated and fuzzy decision-making environment. To express both decision makers (DMs’) quantitative and qualitative evaluation information comprehensively and consider their high hesitancy in giving their assessment values in MADM process, we combine q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy sets (q-RDHFSs) with uncertain linguistic variables and develop a new tool, called the q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic sets (q-RDHULSs). First, the definition, operations and comparison method of q-RDHULSs are proposed. Second, given the interrelationship among multiple q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic variables (q-RDHULVs) we introduce some aggregation operators (AOs) to fuse q-rung dual hesitant uncertain linguistic (q-RDHUL) information based on the Muirhead mean, i.e. the q-RDHUL Muirhead mean operator, the q- RDHUL weighted Muirhead mean operator, the q-RDHUL dual Muirhead mean operator, and the q-RDHUL weighted dual Muirhead mean operator. To cope with MADM problems with q-RDHUL information, we propose a new method based on the proposed AOs. Afterwards, we apply the proposed method to an enterprise informatization level evaluation problem to verify its effectiveness. In addition, we also explain why our proposed method is more powerful and flexible than others.

As Chinese shows both satellite- and verb-framed properties (Slobin, 2004; Talmy, 2012, 2016), it provides a unique lens through which to observe the extent of first-language (L1) typological influence in second language (L2) acquisition of motion expressions. This study has dual purposes. First, it extends Wu's (2016) investigation on motion expressions produced by 80 L1 satellite-framed English learners of L2 Chinese to include newly collected data produced by L1 verb-framed speakers, a sample comprised of 41 L1 Japanese learners of Chinese and 40 Japanese native speakers. Second, it synthesizes the data from both studies and comprehensively examines factors that have been proposed to affect development of L2 thinking-for-speaking (TFS) patterns. The results show that development of L2 TFS is best predicted by learners' L1 type, but the effect is mitigated by L2 proficiency. While the L1 English learners outperform L1 Japanese learners in their development of target-like L2 Chinese TFS, learners with limited L2 proficiency in both groups tend to adopt verb-framed strategies to express only the core path information of a motion event and leave out the manner details. Analysis of L1 Japanese learners' oral narratives in L1 Japanese and L2 Chinese also shows that reverse L2-to-L1 transfer is less likely to happen when learning a typologically closer L2 that requires minimal restructuring of their L1 TFS.

Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a wide-spread gastrointestinal cancer that is associated with augmented morbidity and mortality, and we do not yet have a deep understanding of its epidemiology and carcinogenicity. The transcriptome can reveal the complexity and heterogeneity of tumors and uncover new biomarkers or treatment options. In this study, we identified messenger RNAs (mRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), round RNAs (circRNAs), and microRNAs (miRNAs) using whole-transcriptome sequencing and generated competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) modulatory axes. We conducted whole transcriptome sequencing on 10 CRC and para-cancer (CRCP) samples and discovered 2465 differentially expressed (DE) mRNAs (DEmRNAs), 77 DE miRNAs (DEmiRNAs). 2852 DE lncRNAs (DElncRNAs) and 1477 DE circRNAs (DEcircRNAs). In addition, utilizing co-DE analysis, we generated the ceRNA axis. Subsequently, we employed the ceRNA axis to identify essential genes and corresponding associations with lncRNAs, circRNAs, and miRNAs in CRC. ceRNA regulatory network including mRNA-miRNA-lncRNA and mRNA-miRNA-circRNA. These modulatory axes potentially modulate the positive regulation of smooth muscle contraction, melanosome, plasma membrane, integral plasma membrane component and so on. Finally, the results of RNA sequencing (RNA-SEQ) were combined with the TCGA and GEO databases, and the DEGs strongly correlated with the TCGA-COAD overall survival (OS) as estimated by univariate cox and logarithmic rank analyses were cross-analyzed, and the co-upregulated DEGs were screened. Among the many DEs, KPNA2 was chosen for additional analysis. Using invitro experimentations, western blot, CCK8, EdU and other experiments were performed to verify the results. We found siRNA-based KPNA2 depletion reduces bladder cancer cells’ viability, migratory, and proliferative activities, which showed that the DEmRNA profiles were comparable to the sequencing information, confirming that the sequencing data were very reliable. These evidences highlight the ceRNA regulatory mechanisms in CRC and will aid future research into the molecular mechanisms behind colorectal cancer prevention and treatment.

Abstract Blinatumomab has emerged as a promising component of first-line therapy for acute B-cell precursor lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL), bolstering treatment efficacy. To mitigate CD19 selection pressure and reduce the incidence of blinatumomab-associated toxicities, pre-treatment chemotherapy is recommended before administering blinatumomab. From September 2022 to December 2023, we conducted a single-arm, multicenter, phase 2 trial (NCT05557110) in newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-negative BCP-ALL (Ph-negative BCP-ALL) patients. Participants received induction treatment with reduced-dose chemotherapy (RDC), comprising idarubicin, vindesine, and dexamethasone over 7 days, followed by 2 weeks of blinatumomab. Those failing to achieve composite complete remission (CRc) received an additional 2 weeks of blinatumomab. The primary endpoint was the CRc rate post initial induction treatment. Of the 35 enrolled patients, 33 (94%) achieved CRc after 2 weeks of blinatumomab, with 30 (86%) achieving measurable residual disease (MRD) negativity. Two patients extended blinatumomab to 4 weeks. With either 2 or 4 weeks of blinatumomab treatment, all patients achieved CR (35/35) and 89% (31/35) were MRD negativity. The median time to CR was 22 days. Immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome was limited (14%, all grade 1). Non-hematological adverse events of grade 3 or higher included pneumonia (17%), sepsis (6%), and cytokine release syndrome (9%). With a median follow-up of 11.5 months, estimated 1-year overall survival and 1-year progression-free survival rates were 97.1% and 82.2%, respectively. These findings affirm that RDC followed by blinatumomab is an effective and well-tolerated induction regimen for newly diagnosed Ph-negative BCP-ALL, supporting a shift towards less intensive and more targeted therapeutic approaches. Background: The homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) score serves as a promising biomarker to identify patients who are eligible for treatment with PARP inhibitors (PARPi). Previous studies have suggested a 3-biomarker Genomic Instability Score (GIS) threshold of ≥ 42 as a valid biomarker to predict response to PARPi in patients with ovarian cancer and breast cancer. However, the GIS threshold for prostate cancer (PCa) is still lacking. Here, we conducted an exploratory analysis to investigate an appropriate HRD score threshold and to evaluate its ability to predict response to PARPi in PCa patients. Methods: A total of 181 patients with metastatic castration-resistant PCa were included in this study. Tumor tissue specimens were collected for targeted next-generation sequencing for homologous recombination repair (HRR) genes and copy number variation (CNV) analysis. The HRD score was calculated based on over 50,000 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) distributed across the human genome, incorporating three SNP-based assays: loss of heterozygosity, telomeric allelic imbalance, and large-scale state transition. The HRD score threshold was set at the last 5th percentile of the HRD scores in our cohort of known HRR-deficient tumors. The relationship between the HRD score and the efficacy in 16 patients of our cohort who received PARPi treatment were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Genomic testing was succeeded in 162 patients. In our cohort, 61 patients (37.7%) had HRR mutations (HRRm). BRCA mutations occurred in 15 patients (9.3%). The median HRD score was 4 (ranged from 0 to 57) in the total cohort, which is much lower than that in breast and ovarian cancers. Patients who harbored HRRm and BRCA or TP53 mutations had higher HRD scores. CNV occured more frequently in patients with HRRm. The last 5th percentile of HRD scores was 43 in the HRR-mutant cohort and consequently HRD high was defined as HRD scores ≥43. In the 16 patients who received PARPi in our cohort, 4 patients with a high HRD score achieved an objective response rate (ORR) of 100% while 12 patients with a low HRD score achieved an ORR of 8.3%. Progression-free survival (PFS) in HRD high patients was longer compared to HRD low patients, regardless of HRRm. Conclusions: A HRD score threshold of 43 was established and preliminarily validated to predict the efficacy of PARPi in this study. Future studies are needed to further verify this threshold.

Introducing additional oxidizers in aluminized explosives is an effective way to improve energy performance by enhancing the secondary combustion reaction. In this work, perfluorocarbon as oxidizer has been introduced into TATB/Al based energetic materials to improve combustion reaction and energy output performance. The uniform TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon composites are prepared through acoustic resonance mixed technology, and the energy and pressure output performance are fully studied in air blast and underwater explosion. A significantly exothermic peak derived from the reaction between fluorine and Al is observed between 540 ℃ and 580 ℃ for TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon. The heat of explosion of TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon is increased first and then decreased with F/Al ratio from 0 to 0.608. The highest heat of explosion is 6021 J/g for TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon with F/Al ratio of 0.274. Furthermore, the enhanced working capacity, the significantly enlarged fireball and relatively high overpressure are obtained for TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon. More importantly, the shock impulse and first bubble oscillation time of TATB/Al/perfluorocarbon have been increased by 23.2% and 21.18% during underwater explosion, respectively. The results further illustrate that adding perfluorocarbon is a feasible approach to enhance energy output due to combustion reaction between fluorine and Al, which can be applied in explosives and propellants.

The undercooled solidification of the Inconel 718 superalloy under high magnetic field was performed for the first time at high undercoolings (∼ 200 °C). The results show that the high magnetic field can significantly refine the grains of the undercooled alloys, with the average grain size decreasing from 241 ± 92 μm at 0 T to about a third under high magnetic fields (3 T ∼ 9 T). Detailed EBSD analysis provides clear evidence that Icosahedral Short-Range Order (ISRO) enhanced nucleation occurs. The present work opens up a new way for grain refinement of alloys.

Objective To investigate the association of whole blood nucleophosmin 1(NPM1), monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1), and intestinal flora with gastric cancer progression and prognosis. Methods A total of 120 patients with gastric cancer who were admitted to the Nanyang Second People′s Hospital from May 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the gastric cancer group, 120 patients with benign gastric lesions underwent gastroscopy in the same period were selected as the benign gastric lesions group, and 120 patients with healthy physical examinations in the same period were selected as the control group. RT-qPCR was used to detect mRNA expression of NPM1 and MCP-1. The intestinal microbiota was examined by MicroScan microbial identification analysis system; The correlation between NPM1, MCP-1 and intestinal microbiota was analyzed by Pearson method. Multivariate COX regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of prognosis in gastric cancer patients. Results The level of NPM1 mRNA,exuberance of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus in the control group, gastric benign lesion group, and gastric cancer group decreased sequentially (P＜0.05), whereas MCP-1 mRNA, Enterococcus, and Escherichia coli increased sequentially (P＜0.05). Serum NPM1 mRNA, Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ of gastric cancer were obviously lower than those found in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ(P＜0.05), while MCP-1 mRNA, Enterococcus and Escherichia coli were obviously more than those found in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ(P＜0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that, there was a negative correlation between serum NPM1 mRNA and MCP-1 mRNA levels in gastric cancer patients (P＜0.05), NPM1 mRNA was positively correlated with Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus(P＜0.05) and negatively correlated with Enterococcus and Escherichia coli(P＜0.05). MCP-1 mRNA was negatively correlated with the quantity of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus(P＜0.05) but positively correlated with Enterococcus and Escherichia coli(P＜0.05). The level of NPM1 mRNA, quantity of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus in the poor prognosis group were obviously lower than those found in the good prognosis group (P＜0.05), while the level of MCP-1 mRNA, quantity of Enterococcus and Escherichia coli were obviously higher than those in the good prognosis group (P＜0.05). COX regression analyses showed that MCP-1 mRNA, Enterococcus and Escherichia coli were risk factors affecting the prognosis of gastric cancer patients (P＜0.05), while NPM1 mRNA, Bifidobacterium, and Lactobacillus were protective factors (P＜0.05). Conclusions Decreased level of NPM1, decreased counting of Bifidobacterium intestinalis and Lactobacillus, increased level of MCP-1, increased counting of Enterococcus and Escherichia coli are strongly associated with gastric cancer progression and poor prognosis.

In this work, molten salt method was used to prepare highly dispersed graphitic carbon nitride(WSGCN), and chemical reduction method was used to load Cu nanoparticles on WSGCN to prepare Cu-WSGCN composites. FTIR, XRD, XPS, TEM, SEM, ICP-AES, UV-vis DRS, PL spectroscopy, ESR and EIS characterization methods were carried out to investigate the structure and photoelectric properties of the photocatalyst. The results show that compared with WSGCN, Cu-WSGCN has a larger light absorption range and a narrower band gap. In addition, the presence of Schottky barriers at the interface between Cu nanoparticles and WSGCN promotes charge transfer and separation of photogenerated carriers, which improves the photocatalytic ability. The uranium removal rate of Cu-WSGCN composite is relatively high(81.07 %) when the load of Cu nanoparticles is 1%. After three cycles of photocatalytic uranium reduction experiments, the uranium removal rate by 1%Cu-WSGCN can still reach 75.96%, which provides a useful reference for the development of novel materials with high efficiency photocatalytic removal of uranium.

Abstract The kidney is vulnerable to ischemia and reperfusion (I/R) injury that can be fatal after major surgery. Currently, there are no effective treatments for I/R-induced kidney injury. Trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO) is a gut-derived metabolite linked to many diseases, but its role in I/R-induced kidney injury remains unclear. Here, our clinical data reveals an association between preoperative systemic TMAO levels and postoperative kidney injury in patients after post-cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. By genetic deletion of TMAO-producing enzyme flavin-containing monooxygenase 3 (FMO3) and dietary supplementation of choline to modulate TMAO levels, we found that TMAO aggravated acute kidney injury through the triggering of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and worsened subsequent renal fibrosis through TGFβ/Smad signaling activation. Together, our study underscores the negative role of TMAO in I/R-induced kidney injury and highlights the therapeutic potential through the modulation of TMAO levels by targeting FMO3, thereby mitigating acute kidney injury and preventing subsequent renal fibrosis.

Abstract Background Schizophrenia is a pervasive and severe mental disorder characterized by significant disability and high rates of recurrence. The persistently high rates of readmission after discharge present a serious challenge and source of stress in treating this population. Early identification of this risk is critical for implementing targeted interventions. The present study aimed to develop an easy-to-use predictive instrument for identifying the risk of readmission within 1-year post-discharge among schizophrenia patients in China. Methods A prediction model, based on static factors, was developed using data from 247 schizophrenia inpatients admitted to the Mental Health Center in Wuxi, China, from July 1 to December 31, 2020. For internal validation, an additional 106 patients were included. Multivariate Cox regression was applied to identify independent predictors and to create a nomogram for predicting the likelihood of readmission within 1-year post-discharge. The model’s performance in terms of discrimination and calibration was evaluated using bootstrapping with 1000 resamples. Results Multivariate cox regression demonstrated that involuntary admission (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR] 4.35, 95% confidence interval [CI] 2.13–8.86), repeat admissions (aHR 3.49, 95% CI 2.08–5.85), the prescription of antipsychotic polypharmacy (aHR 2.16, 95% CI 1.34–3.48), and a course of disease ≥ 20 years (aHR 1.80, 95% CI 1.04–3.12) were independent predictors for the readmission of schizophrenia patients within 1-year post-discharge. The area under the curve (AUC) and concordance index (C-index) of the nomogram constructed from these four factors were 0.820 and 0.780 in the training set, and 0.846 and 0.796 for the validation set, respectively. Furthermore, the calibration curves of the nomogram for both the training and validation sets closely approximated the ideal diagonal line. Additionally, decision curve analyses (DCAs) demonstrated a significantly better net benefit with this model. Conclusions A nomogram, developed using pre-discharge static factors, was designed to predict the likelihood of readmission within 1-year post-discharge for patients with schizophrenia. This tool may offer clinicians an accurate and effective way for the timely prediction and early management of psychiatric readmissions.

Abstract Background Cervical and breast cancers are among the top 4 leading causes of cancer-related mortality in women. This study aimed to examine age-specific temporal trends in mortality for cervical and breast cancers in urban and rural areas of China from 2009 to 2021. Methods Age-specific mortality data for cervical and breast cancers among Chinese women aged 20–84 years were obtained from China’s National Disease Surveillance Points system spanning the years 2009 to 2021. Negative binomial regression models were utilized to assess urban–rural differences in mortality rate ratios, while Joinpoint models with estimated average annual percent changes (AAPC) and slopes were employed to compare temporal trends and the acceleration of mortality rates within different age groups. Results From 2009 to 2021, there was a relative increase in age-specific mortality associated with the two cancers observed in rural areas compared with urban areas. A rising trend in the screening age of 35–64 [AAPC: 4.0%, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.5–7.6%, P = 0.026] for cervical cancer was noted in rural areas, while a stable trend (AAPC: − 0.7%, 95% CI − 5.8 to 4.6%, P = 0.78) was observed in urban areas. As for breast cancer, a stable trend (AAPC: 0.3%, 95% CI − 0.3 to 0.9%, P = 0.28) was observed in rural areas compared to a decreasing trend (AAPC: − 2.7%, 95% CI − 4.6 to − 0.7%, P = 0.007) in urban areas. Urban–rural differences in mortality rates increased over time for cervical cancer but decreased for breast cancer. Mortality trends for both cervical and breast cancers showed an increase with age across 4 segments, with the most significant surge in mortality observed among the 35–54 age group across urban and rural areas, periods, and regions in China. Conclusions Special attention should be given to women aged 35–54 years due to mortality trends and rural–urban disparities. Focusing on vulnerable age groups and addressing rural–urban differences in the delivery of cancer control programs can enhance resource efficiency and promote health equity.

Abstract Background Higher education students exhibit heightened sensitivity to environmental changes as they navigate the critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to universities worldwide, exemplifying a crisis that profoundly affects the learning outcomes and psychological status of college students. Although it is known that campus lockdown has triggered dramatic changes in lifestyles, learning outcomes, and psychological statuses, in-depth knowledge of the causal relationships among these changes remains largely unclear. Methods Here, we conducted a cross-sectional survey designed to assess the impact of campus closure during COVID-19 on lifestyle, educational performance, and anxiety levels among college students. We surveyed over 3,500 junior college, undergraduate and graduate participants from 94 colleges/universities across 30 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China.We employed structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the relationships between changes in lifestyle, educational performance, and levels of anxiety associated with campus open or closure regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Results Our results discovered that sleep duration, physical activity involvement, and social connections were crucial for sustaining students' learning outcomes and mental health. The shift to online learning and campus lockdown exacerbated stressors, contributing to heightened anxiety (β = 0.066), disrupted sleep patterns, and enhanced physical activity (β = 0.070) and reduced learning effect (β = -0.059). Sleep patterns were disrupted by the campus lockdown, an effect mediated by the degradation of relationships among classmates. Nonetheless, the best-fitting SEM uncovered the intricate relationships among lifestyle changes, learning outcomes, and psychological status in response to sudden environmental changes (Fisher’s C = 80.949, P = 0.328). These results highlight the critical role of adaptable, supportive campus policies tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of students during and beyond crises (Fisher’s C = 59.568, P = 0.809). Conclusions Our study advocates for a holistic approach that addresses the multifaceted aspects of student life to cultivate a resilient academic community. This approach contributes to a deeper understanding of the effects of sudden environmental changes on students' psychological well-being and academic performance in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract Background The attentional network test (ANT) is widely used to evaluate the performance of three attentional networks: alerting, orienting and executive attention networks. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of attention functions in HIV-negative patients with early forms of neurosyphilis (NS) and their correlation with abnormalities in brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods Thirty patients with early forms of NS, 31 patients with syphilis but without NS (Non-NS) and 35 healthy controls were recruited from an HIV-negative cohort between September 2020 and November 2022. The participants were evaluated with the ANT and the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE). Brain MRI was performed in NS and Non-NS patients. Results No significant differences were observed in the MMSE scores among the three groups. However, patients with early forms of NS showed poorer performance in orienting and alerting functions than Non-NS group (F = 6.952, P = 0.011 and F = 8.794, P = 0.004, respectively); No significant difference was observed in executive function between the two groups (F = 0.001, P = 0.980). Multivariate analysis of variance using the Bonferroni post hoc test indicated that patients with NS exhibited less efficient orienting function (P = 0.023), and alerting function (P = 0.003) but not executive function (P = 0.99), compared to Non-NS patients. Abstract Machine learning has been widely used to guide the search for new materials by learning the patterns underlying available data. However, the pure prediction-oriented search is often biased to interpolation due to the limited data in a large unexplored space. Here we present a sampling framework towards extrapolation, that integrates unsupervised clustering, interpretable analysis, and similarity evaluation to sample target candidates with improved properties from a vast search space. Using the design of superalloys with improved $${\gamma }^{{\prime} }$$ γ ′ -phase solvus temperature ( $${T}_{{\gamma }^{{\prime} }}$$ T γ ′ ) as a model case, we start with sparse data, and by a few experiments, we find nine new superalloys with chemistries distinct to those in the training data. Three of them show improved $${T}_{{\gamma }^{{\prime} }}$$ T γ ′ by about 50 °C, a large enhancement for superalloys. Moreover, we find two features characterizing mismatch in atomic size and mixing enthalpy linearly effect. This work demonstrates the capability of unsupervised learning to search for new materials when limited data is available.

Abstract Background China is the hotspot of global freshwater crab diversity, but their wild populations are facing severe pressures associated with anthropogenic factors, necessitating the need to map their taxonomic and genetic diversity and design conservation policies. Results Herein, we sequenced the mitochondrial genome of a Chinese freshwater crab species Bottapotamon fukienense, and found that it is fragmented into two chromosomes. We confirmed that fragmentation was not limited to a single specimen or population. Chromosome 1 comprised 15,111 base pairs (bp) and there were 26 genes and one pseudogene (pseudo-nad1) encoded on it. Chromosome 2 comprised 8,173 bp and there were 12 genes and two pseudogenes (pseudo-trnL2 and pseudo-rrnL) encoded on it. Combined, they comprise the largest mitogenome (23,284 bp) among the Potamidae. Bottapotamon was the only genus in the Potamidae dataset exhibiting rearrangements of protein-coding genes. Bottapotamon fukienense exhibited average rates of sequence evolution in the dataset and did not differ in selection pressures from the remaining Potamidae. Conclusions This is the first experimentally confirmed fragmentation of a mitogenome in crustaceans. While the mitogenome of B. fukienense exhibited multiple signs of elevated mitogenomic architecture evolution rates, including the exceptionally large size, duplicated genes, pseudogenisation, rearrangements of protein-coding genes, and fragmentation, there is no evidence that this is matched by elevated sequence evolutionary rates or changes in selection pressures.

Objective It is always difficult to obtain a comfortable surgical margin for patients with recurrent malignant or invasive benign spinal tumors. Tumor intraspinal invasion and dural adhesion are the essential reasons. There are always residual tumor cells maintained at the edge of dura. Dural resection is a key point to obtain a comfortable surgical margin for such cases. Whether such patients benefit from this risky surgical procedure is unknown. This study aims to understand better the oncological results, associated risks, and neurological function of this risky surgical procedure. Methods We retrospectively reviewed clinical data from six consecutive patients who registered spinal tumors in our institute and underwent dural resection during en bloc spinal resection from June 2013 to May 2020. The demographic and perioperative data, oncological outcomes, complications, and neurological status were collected and analyzed. Results All six patients were followed up for 24 to 46 months (mean follow‐up time: 32.8 months). Local recurrence was detected in one patient (1/6, 16.7%) at 36 months postoperatively and in five patients with no evidence of disease at the last follow up (survival rate 83.3%). Eleven complications occurred in four patients (66.7%), and the dural resection‐related complications included only four cases of cerebrospinal fluid leakage (CSFL), which accounted for 36.4% (4/11) of all complications. Neurologic status evaluated by the Frankel grade showed improvement of one grade in one case and deterioration of one to two grades in five patients immediately after surgery. All deterioration cases recovered to the preoperative level 6 months after the operation. Conclusion Dural resection is significant for patients with dura matter invaded by recurrent primary malignant or invasive benign spinal tumors with the purpose of clinical cure. This study demonstrated that in strictly selected cases, intentional dural resection could provide satisfying local control and long‐term disease‐free survival with acceptable complications and satisfying neurological function.

In order to optimize the fermentation process conditions of mulberry leaf tea and explore the changes in antioxidant activity of mulberry leaf tea after fermentation. This experiment used response surface analysis to determine the optimal process conditions for fermenting mulberry leaf tea under three variable conditions: Fermentation temperature, fermentation time, and inoculation amount of Aspergillus niger. The content of bioactive substances and antioxidant properties in fermented mulberry leaf tea were determinated. The findings indicated that 5 days and 16 hours of fermentation duration, 30 ℃ of fermentation temperature, and 16.55% of inoculation amount were the ideal process parameters, and that the fermented mulberry leaf tea scored as high as 90 on the sensory scale under these conditions. In addition, the content of total flavonoids, total polysaccharides, polyphenols, free amino acids, rutin, and quercetin in fermented mulberry leaf tea increased by 14.39%, 12.67%, 2.90%, 3.46%, 81.13%, and 19.35%, respectively, compared to mulberry leaf green tea. Tea brown pigment with a content of 7.55%±0.37% was also detected in fermented mulberry leaf tea. In addition, the scavenging rate of hydroxyl radicals, DPPH radicals, superoxide radicals and the chelating rate of divalent iron ions of fermented mulberry leaf tea at the concentration of 1/1000 (g/mL) were 1.16, 1.07, 1.06 and 0.82 times higher than that of mulberry leaf green tea, respectively. The results of this study provide theoretical basis and references for further development and application of mulberry leaf in the future.

Abstract Left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation is an effective alternative treatment to heart transplantation, especially for end‐stage heart failure patients who are ineligible for or unable to await a heart transplant. This report describes a complex and innovative surgery where LVAD implantation was performed alongside multiple concomitant cardiac and aortic procedures. A 62‐year‐old male patient with complicated comorbidities developed acute myocardial infarction and subsequent refractory advanced heart failure. Given his critically ill condition and intractable anatomical malformations, the CH‐VAD left ventricular assist system implantation was performed concomitantly with the Bentall procedure, coronary artery bypass grafting, tricuspid valvuloplasty, and foramen ovale closure. The patient was successfully discharged. This case details the medical decision‐making process and surgical strategy and demonstrates the feasibility of LVAD implantation combined with multiple additional cardiac and aortic procedures in expert cardiac centres. Success relies on experienced cardiac surgeons and a multidisciplinary LVAD Heart Team, ensuring excellence in surgical techniques, preoperative evaluation, post‐operative care, and rehabilitation.

The Standards, Measurements, and Testing (SMT) phosphorus fractionation approach was used to measure the amounts of total phosphorus (TP), organic phosphorus (OP), inorganic phosphorus (IP), apatite inorganic phosphorus (AP), and non-apatite inorganic phosphorus (NAIP) in sludge biochar. Sludge biochar was characterized using methods such as X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The findings showed that IP content increased significantly after pyrolysis, reaching up to 97% of TP content at the optimal temperature of 350 °C. Furthermore, when the pyrolysis temperature increased, the AP/IP ratio showed fluctuations between decreases and increases, maximum at 60%. The results of the correlation analysis indicate that IP has a positive correlation with yield, pH, and S elements (p < 0.05) and a negative correlation with N, C, and H elements (p < 0.01). OP, on the other hand, has a positive correlation with H elements (p < 0.05) and a negative correlation with yield (p < 0.01). Furthermore, TP, NAIP, and AP all show negative correlations with N, C, and H elements (p < 0.01), with TP and NAIP also displaying negative correlations with pH and S elements (p < 0.05). HIGHLIGHT Phosphorus morphology changes at 300–700 °C by the Standards, Measurements, and Testing method. Different temperatures change the transformation of various phosphorus forms. The apatite inorganic phosphorus content in biochar increased with the increase of pyrolysis temperature and reached the maximum at 700 °C.;

In this work, two kinds of primary batteries, both of which included a Zn anode, C rod cathode, copper wire and electrolyte composed of Cd2+-contaminated water or soil, were constructed in the first attempt to both remove Cd2+ and generate electricity. Unlike traditional technologies such as electrokinetic remediation with high energy consumption, this technology could realize Cd2+ migration to aggregation and solidification and generate energy at the same time through simultaneous galvanic reactions. The passive surface of Zn and C was proven via electrochemical measurements to be porous to maintain the relatively active galvanic reactions for continuous Cd2+ precipitation. Cd2+ RE (removal efficiency) and electricity generation were investigated under different conditions, based on which two empirical models were established to predict them successfully. In soil, KCl was added to desorb Cd2+ from soil colloids to promote Cd2+ removal. These systems were also proven to remove Cd2+ efficiently when their effects on plants, zebrafish, and the soil bacterial community were tested. LEDs could be lit for days by utilizing the electricity produced herein. This work provides a novel, green, and low-cost route to remediate Cd2+ contamination and generate electricity simultaneously, which is of extensive practical significance in the environmental and energy fields.

The genome-wide association study (GWAS) aims to detect associations between individual single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) or SNP interactions and phenotypes to decipher the genetic mechanism. Existing GWAS analysis tools have different focuses and advantages, but suffer a series of tedious and heterogeneous configurations for computation. It is inconvenient for researchers to simply choose and apply these tools, statistically and biologically analyze their results for different usages. To address these issues, we develop a user friendly web pipeline GWASTool for detecting associations, which includes simulation data generation, associated loci detection, result visualization, analysis and comparison. GWASTool provides a unified and plugin-able framework to encapsulate the heterogeneity of GWAS algorithms, simplifies the analysis steps and energizes GWAS tasks. GWASTool is implemented in Java and is freely available for public use at http://www.sdu-idea.cn/GWASTool. The website hosts a comprehensive collection of resources, including a user manual, description of integrated algorithms, data examples and standalone version for download.

Abstract Background Extracellular matrix (ECM) stiffness is closely related to the progress of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) and the response of treatment of DCM to anti-diabetic drugs. Dapagliflozin (Dapa) has been proven to have cardio-protective efficacy for diabetes and listed as the first-line drug to treat heart failure. But the regulatory relationship between ECM stiffness and treatment efficacy of Dapa remains elusive. Materials and methods This work investigated the effect of ECM stiffness on DCM progression and Dapa efficacy using both in vivo DCM rat model and in vitro myocardial cell model with high glucose injury. First, through DCM rat models with various levels of myocardial injury and administration with Dapa treatment for four weeks, the levels of myocardial injury, myocardial oxidative stress, expressions of AT1R (a mechanical signal protein) and the stiffness of myocardial tissues were obtained. Then for mimicking the stiffness of myocardial tissues at early and late stages of DCM, we constructed cell models through culturing H9c2 myocardial cells on the polyacrylamide gels with two stiffness and exposed to a high glucose level and without/with Dapa intervention. The cell viability, reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels and expressions of mechanical signal sensitive proteins were obtained. Results The DCM progression is accompanied by the increased myocardial tissue stiffness, which can synergistically exacerbate myocardial cell injury with high glucose. Dapa can improve the ECM stiffness-induced DCM progression and its efficacy on DCM is more pronounced on the soft ECM, which is related to the regulation pathway of AT1R-FAK-NOX2. Besides, Dapa can inhibit the expression of the ECM-induced integrin β1, but without significant impact on piezo 1. Conclusions Our study found the regulation and effect of biomechanics in the DCM progression and on the Dapa efficacy on DCM, providing the new insights for the DCM treatment. Additionally, our work showed the better clinical prognosis of DCM under early Dapa intervention.

Abstract The functions of natural killer (NK) and T cells in innate and adaptive immunity, as well as their functions in tumor eradication, are complementary and intertwined. Here we show that utilization of multi-specific antibodies or nano-antibodies capable of simultaneously targeting both NK and T cells could be a valuable approach in cancer immunotherapy. Here, we introduce a tri-specific Nano-Antibody (Tri-NAb), generated by immobilizing three types of monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), using an optimized albumin/polyester composite nanoparticle conjugated with anti-Fc antibody. This Tri-NAb, targeting PDL1, 4-1BB, and NKG2A (or TIGIT) simultaneously, effectively binds to NK and CD8+ T cells, triggering their activation and proliferation, while facilitating their interaction with tumor cells, thereby inducing efficient tumor killing. Importantly, the antitumor efficacy of Tri-NAb is validated in multiple models, including patient-derived tumor organoids and humanized mice, highlighting the translational potential of NK and T cell co-targeting.

Abstract Understanding the large-scale pattern of soil microbial carbon use efficiency (CUE) and its temperature sensitivity (CUET) is critical for understanding soil carbon–climate feedback. We used the 18O-H2O tracer method to quantify CUE and CUET along a north-south forest transect. Climate was the primary factor that affected CUE and CUET, predominantly through direct pathways, then by altering soil properties, carbon fractions, microbial structure and functions. Negative CUET (CUE decreases with measuring temperature) in cold forests (mean annual temperature lower than 10 °C) and positive CUET (CUE increases with measuring temperature) in warm forests (mean annual temperature greater than 10 °C) suggest that microbial CUE optimally operates at their adapted temperature. Overall, the plasticity of microbial CUE and its temperature sensitivity alter the feedback of soil carbon to climate warming; that is, a climate-adaptive microbial community has the capacity to reduce carbon loss from soil matrices under corresponding favorable climate conditions.

Abstract The development of coalbed methane (CBM) in China is susceptible to the influence of microstructure. Therefore, it is crucial to understand the extension laws of hydraulic fractures and engineering responses in coal reservoirs affected by microstructure development. Utilizing the Dahebian block in western Guizhou as the study area, this investigation examines the coal reservoir characteristics, fracturing, and drainage engineering analysis of the well DC1 group in the region. The aim is to discuss the spatial distribution characteristics of hydraulic fractures, geological controlling factors influenced by microstructure, and their corresponding engineering responses. The results indicate that, for coal reservoirs unaffected by microstructure, the extension laws of the fracture network in both longitudinal and planar directions are influenced by burial depth and the regional stress field. In the microstructural belt, tectonic stress dominates, causing changes in the ground stress field. Consequently, the hydraulic fracture network deviates from the direction of the maximum principal stress during the extension process. When a secondary fracture is nearby, the hydraulic fracture network extends towards the shortest path radial secondary fracture direction, leading to a rapid increase in fracture width per unit length until it intersects with the secondary fracture. Additionally, the presence of secondary joints near the microfault structure decreases fracturing pressure and results in a dense distribution of the fracture network. This promotes the formation of a complex fracture network, favorable for fracturing. The extension of the fracture network in complex structural development areas is influenced by the microfault structure between wells, which is reflected in the fracturing construction pressure and fluid output. This accounts for the significant variations in the early drainage performance of CBM wells.

Abstract Extremely large magnetoresistance (XMR) is highly applicable in spintronic devices such as magnetic sensors, magnetic memory, and hard drives. Typically, XMR is found in Weyl semimetals characterized by perfect electron–hole symmetry or exceptionally high electric conductivity and mobility. Our study explores this phenomenon in a recently developed graphene moiré system, which demonstrates XMR owing to its topological structure and high-quality crystal formation. We investigate the electronic properties of three-dimensional intertwined twisted graphene spirals (TGS), manipulating the screw dislocation axis to achieve a rotation angle of 7.3°. Notably, at 14 T and 2 K, the magnetoresistance of these structures reaches 1.7 × 107%, accompanied by a metal–insulator transition as the temperature increases. This transition becomes noticeable when the magnetic field exceeds a minimal threshold of approximately 0.1 T. These observations suggest the possible existence of complex, correlated states within the partially filled three-dimensional Landau levels of the 3D TGS system. Our findings open up possibilities for achieving XMR by engineering the topological structure of 2D layered moiré systems.

Genetic algorithm with storage mechanism and adaptive cross mutation is proposed to solve the problem of difficulty in optimizing the prestress of string supported lattice shell structures. Firstly, storage mechanism strategy is introduced into genetic algorithm(GA) to sort the individuals in the population in real-time, fully utilizing the direction information and search state of the current population. Then, heuristic adaptive crossover strategy and non-uniform adaptive mutation strategy are introduced to achieve adaptive adjustment of crossover mutation probability factor, effectively avoiding the population from falling into local optimal solutions in the later stage of iteration. Test function simulation experiments and engineering case applications show that compared with IGA, GDOIGA and IMPGA, AMCGA has fewer iterations, stronger global search ability, and higher quality of optimal solutions. When it is applied in prestress optimization of chord supported lattice shell structures, it has higher optimization efficiency and better optimization effect.

Abstract This study is situated against the backdrop of China’s emergence as a new player in the international higher education market and its initiative to promote the Chinese language through academic programmes. We interrupt the entrenched ‘Englishisation’ of higher education in non-Anglophone contexts and investigate Thai international students’ language ideologies and language practices in the Chinese-medium instruction (CMI) university context. The qualitative data reveals the dual functions of Chinese in Thai students’ day-to-day practices—a medium of instruction and a ‘default’ common language for communication both in and beyond formal settings. In spite of their native speakerism, we also found incongruence between language ideologies and practices in and beyond the classroom. This study carries important implications for teaching and learning in CMI universities and beyond, as we call for attention to multilingual awareness development, ‘respectability’ pedagogies and translanguaging practices in international universities with a linguistically diverse student population.

Abstract Background Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a subtype of hemorrhagic stroke characterized by high mortality and low rates of full recovery. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of SAH between 1990 and 2021. Methods Data on SAH incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) from 1990 to 2021 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD) 2021. Estimated annual percentage changes (EAPCs) were calculated to evaluate changes in the age-standardized rate (ASR) of incidence and mortality, as well as trends in SAH burden. The relationship between disease burden and sociodemographic index (SDI) was also analyzed. Results In 2021, the incidence of SAH was found to be 37.09% higher than that in 1990; however, the age-standardized incidence rates (ASIRs) showed a decreased [EAPC: -1.52; 95% uncertainty interval (UI) -1.66 to -1.37]. Furthermore, both the number and rates of deaths and DALYs decreased over time. It was observed that females had lower rates compared to males. Among all regions, the high-income Asia Pacific region exhibited the highest ASIR (14.09/100,000; 95% UI 12.30/100,000 − 16.39/100,000) in 2021, with an EPAC for ASIR

Abstract Postoperative venous thromboembolic events (VTEs), such as lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT), are major risk factors for gastric cancer (GC) patients following radical gastrectomy. Accurately predicting and managing these risks is crucial for optimal patient care. This retrospective case‒control study involved 693 GC patients from our hospital who underwent radical gastrectomy. We collected plentiful and comprehensive clinical indicators including a total of 49 baseline, preoperative, surgical and pathological clinical data. Using univariate logistic regression, we identified potential risk factors, followed by feature selection through the Boruta algorithm. We then constructed the final predictive model using multivariate logistic regression and evaluated it using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis, calibration plots, decision curve analysis, and other methods. Additionally, we applied various machine learning techniques, including decision trees and random forests, to assess our model’s predictive strength. This retrospective case‒control study involved 693 GC patients from our hospital who underwent radical gastrectomy. Based on the Boruta algorithm, six significant clinical factors were selected, namely, age, D-dimer (D-D) level, low-density lipoprotein, CA125, and calcium and chloride ion levels. A nomogram was developed using the outcomes from the multivariate logistic regression analysis. The predictive model showed high accuracy, with an area under the curve of 0.936 in the training set and 0.875 in the validation set. Various machine learning algorithms confirmed its strong predictive capacity. MR analysis revealed meaningful causal relationships between key clinical factors and DVT risk. Based on various machine learning methods, we developed an effective predictive diagnostic model for postoperative lower extremity DVT in GC patients. This model demonstrated excellent predictive value in both the training and validation sets. This novel model is a valuable tool for clinicians to use in identifying and managing thrombotic risks in this patient population.

Abstract Background Central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia rarely occurs, and there is no standard therapy for central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. This article aims to analyze the diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Case presentation It reports two cases of central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia describing the clinical course, therapy, and prognosis. Case 1 is a 67-year-old Asian male patient, he experienced complications with central nervous system involvement after developing resistance to ibrutinib, bendamustine, and rituximab (BR) chemotherapies. The central nervous system lesion was controlled with high-dose methotrexate combined with pomalidomide, but Richter transformation occurred several months later. Case 2 is a 62-year-old Asian female patient, she had central nervous system involvement at initial diagnosis, and bone marrow and central nervous system lesions were controlled by ibrutinib therapy. Conclusion Central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia is rare and can be diagnosed on the basis of clinical features, cerebrospinal fluid testing, and radiographic evaluation. Ibrutinib, pomalidomide, and other drugs that can cross the blood–brain barrier may be effective for treating central nervous system involvement in chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Abstract Objective We aimed to analyze the relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver and progressive fibrosis and serum 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25(OH)D) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods A total of 184 patients with T2DM who were hospitalized in the Department of Endocrinology of the ShiDong Clinical Hospital between January 2023 and June 2023 were selected. We compared review of anthropometric, biochemical, and inflammatory parameters and non-invasive scores between groups defined by ultrasound NAFLD severity grades.We determine the correlation between 25(OH)D and FLI and FIB-4 scores, respectively. Results Statistically significant differences were seen between BMI, WC, C-peptide levels, FPG, ALT, serum 25(OH)D, TC, HDL, lumbar spine bone density, FLI, and FIB-4 in different degrees of NAFLD. Abstract Estrogen excess in females has been linked to a diverse array of chronic and acute diseases. Emerging research shows that exposure to estrogen-like compounds such as bisphenol S leads to increases in 17β-estradiol levels, but the mechanism of action is unclear. The aim of this study was to reveal the underlying signaling pathway-mediated mechanisms, target site and target molecule of action of bisphenol S causing excessive estrogen synthesis. Human ovarian granulosa cells SVOG were exposed to bisphenol S at environmentally relevant concentrations (1 μg/L, 10 μg/L, and 100 μg/L) for 48 h. The results confirms that bisphenol S accumulates mainly on the cell membrane, binds to follicle stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) located on the cell membrane, and subsequently activates the downstream cyclic adenosine monophosphate/protein kinase A (cAMP/PKA) signaling pathway, leading to enhanced conversion of testosterone to 17β-estradiol. This study deepens our knowledge of the mechanisms of environmental factors in pathogenesis of hyperestrogenism.

Abstract Our study presents the assembly of a high-quality Taihu goose genome at the Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) level. By employing advanced sequencing technologies, including Pacific Biosciences HiFi reads, Oxford Nanopore long reads, Illumina short reads, and chromatin conformation capture (Hi-C), we achieved an exceptional assembly. The T2T assembly encompasses a total length of 1,197,991,206 bp, with contigs N50 reaching 33,928,929 bp and scaffold N50 attaining 81,007,908 bp. It consists of 73 scaffolds, including 38 autosomes and one pair of Z/W sex chromosomes. Importantly, 33 autosomes were assembled without any gap, resulting in a contiguous representation. Furthermore, gene annotation efforts identified 34,898 genes, including 436,162 RNA transcripts, encompassing 806,158 exons, 743,910 introns, 651,148 coding sequences (CDS), and 135,622 untranslated regions (UTR). The T2T-level chromosome-scale goose genome assembly provides a vital foundation for future genetic improvement and understanding the genetic mechanisms underlying important traits in geese.

Abstract Background Neither a TYRP1-mediated highly conserved genetic network underlying skin color towards optimum defense nor the pathological tendency of its mutation is well understood. The Oujiang Color Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio var. color) as a model organism, offering valuable insights into genetics, coloration, aquaculture practices, and environmental health. Here, we performed a comparative skin transcriptome analysis on TYRP1 mutant and wild fishes by applying a conservative categorical approach considering different color phenotypes. Results Our results reveal that an unusual color phenotype may be sensitized with TYRP1 mutation as a result of upregulating several genes related to an anti-inflammatory autoimmune system in response to the COMT-mediated catecholamine neurotransmitters in the skin. Particularly, catecholamines-derived red/brown, red with blue colored membrane attack complex, and brown/grey colored reduced eumelanin are expected to be aggregated in the regenerated cells. Conclusions It is, thus, concluded that the regenerated cells with catecholamines, membrane attack complex, and eumelanin altogether may contribute to the formation of the unusual (coffee-like) color phenotype in TYRP1 mutant.

Abstract This study aimed to explore the effects of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor α (PPAR-α), a known inhibitor of ferroptosis, in Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) and its related mechanisms. In vivo and in vitro MIRI models were established. Our results showed that activation of PPAR-α decreased the size of the myocardial infarct, maintained cardiac function, and decreased the serum contents of creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), and Fe2+ in ischemia/reperfusion (I/R)-treated mice. Additionally, the results of H&E staining, DHE staining, TUNEL staining, and transmission electron microscopy demonstrated that activation of PPAR-α inhibited MIRI-induced heart tissue and mitochondrial damage. It was also found that activation of PPAR-α attenuated MIRI-induced ferroptosis as shown by a reduction in malondialdehyde, total iron, and reactive oxygen species (ROS). In vitro experiments showed that intracellular contents of malondialdehyde, total iron, LDH, reactive oxygen species (ROS), lipid ROS, oxidized glutathione disulphide (GSSG), and Fe2+ were reduced by the activation of PPAR-α in H9c2 cells treated with anoxia/reoxygenation (A/R), while the cell viability and GSH were increased after PPAR-α activation. Additionally, changes in protein levels of the ferroptosis marker further confirmed the beneficial effects of PPAR-α activation on MIRI-induced ferroptosis. Moreover, the results of immunofluorescence and dual-luciferase reporter assay revealed that PPAR-α achieved its activity via binding to the 14-3-3η promoter, promoting its expression level. Moreover, the cardioprotective effects of PPAR-α could be canceled by pAd/14-3-3η-shRNA or Compound C11 (14-3-3η inhibitor). In conclusion, our results indicated that ferroptosis plays a key role in aggravating MIRI, and PPAR-α/14-3-3η pathway-mediated ferroptosis and mitochondrial injury might be an effective therapeutic target against MIRI.

Abstract Understanding and treating human diseases require valid animal models. Leveraging the genetic diversity in rhesus macaque populations across eight primate centers in the United States, we conduct targeted-sequencing on 1845 individuals for 374 genes linked to inherited human retinal and neurodevelopmental diseases. We identify over 47,000 single nucleotide variants, a substantial proportion of which are shared with human populations. By combining rhesus and human allele frequencies with established variant prediction methods, we develop a machine learning-based score that outperforms established methods in predicting missense variant pathogenicity. Remarkably, we find a marked number of loss-of-function variants and putative deleterious variants, which may lead to the development of rhesus disease models. Through phenotyping of macaques carrying a pathogenic OPA1:p.A8S variant, we identify a genetic model of autosomal dominant optic atrophy. Finally, we present a public website housing variant and genotype data from over two thousand rhesus macaques.

In order to sort out the research process and hotspots of honey safety, this paper was based on the China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI) database and the Web of Science (WOS) core collection, utilizing CiteSpace software to analyze and visualize publication trends, journals, authors, institutions, countries (regions), keywords, and other relevant information. The aforementioned databases yielded a total of 169 Chinese and 281 English literatures. The analysis revealed that the number of publications in Chinese literature on honey safety had been steadily increasing since 2011. The number of publications in English literature had displayed an oscillating upward trend since 2007, with a higher volume of publications in English literature over the past fifteen years compared to Chinese literature. ZHANG Q and GUNDUZ A were the most prolific authors in Chinese and English literature, respectively. While there were established cooperative relationships between researchers in both fields, collaborations between different groups remained relatively limited. Journal of Bee and Food Chemistry were the leading journals for publications on honey safety in English and Chinese, respectively. Both English and Chinese publishing journals primarily focused on the food industry. Yunnan Province Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Karadeniz Technical University were the research institutions with the highest publication output in Chinese and English, respectively. However, there was limited collaboration between research institutes in China. Turkey was the most influential country among the study countries (regions), followed by China, Poland, and New Zealand. During the initial stages of research, Chinese literature primarily explored topics such as "botulinum toxin" "pollen plants" "Triperygium wilfordii Hook. f." and "honey poisoning". However, after 2000, advancements in technologies such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy led to the emergence of new keywords like "melissopalynology" and "gas chromatography". Consequently, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, liquid-mass spectrometry, and scanning electron microscopy gained popularity as methods for detecting honey safety in research. During the early stages of research, English literature primarily delved into topics such as "pyrrolizidine alkaloids" "mad honey" "grayanotoxin" and "natural toxicants". This indicates that during this time, the primary emphasis was on studying toxic honey and natural toxins found in honey, specifically pyrrolizidine alkaloids and grayanotoxin. As technologies such as chromatography advanced, keywords like "mass spectrometry" began to emerge. It could be seen that the research in Chinese and English literature was focused on similar topics, such as toxic honey, honey poisoning, and the detection and tracing of toxic components in honey. However, there were slight differences in emphasis. In China, the main toxic nectar plants were Triperygium wilfordii Hook. f., Gelsemium elegans (Gardn. & Champ.) Benth. and Macleaya cordata (Willd.) R. Br., while the main toxic components detected in honey were triptolide and koumine. In foreign countries, honey poisoning incidents were mostly caused by grayanotoxin, pyrrolizidine alkaloids or tutin. In order to study the effective method of the enrichment and purification of anthocyanin in black wolfberry and mulberry, and identify the structure of anthocyanin, the black wolfberry and mulberry extracts were purified by macroporous resins. The adsorption and desorption abilities of different types of the resins for anthocyanins were compared. LX-20SS was optimized as the resin for the purification of anthocyanins from black wolfberry. The purification conditions were as follows: The mass ratio of resin to crude anthocyanin powder of black wolfberry was at 10:1, and the elution concentration of ethanol was 70%, and the flow rate was 3 mL/min. After the purification, the content of anthocyanin reached 144.18±3.40 mg/g. DM-21 was optimized as the resin for the purification of mulberry anthocyanin. The purification conditions were as follows: The mass ratio of resin to crude anthocyanin powder of mulberry was at 20:3, and the elution concentration of ethanol was 30%, and the flow rate was 1 mL/min. The content of anthocyanin reached 112.44±2.24 mg/g after purification. High performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) analysis for anthocyanin structures in black wolfberry and mulberry showed that the main anthocyanin in black wolfberry was petunidin-3-O-rutinose (p-coumaroyl)-5-O-glucoside, which accounted for more than 95% of the total anthocyanin. In addition, there are two main types of anthocyanins in mulberry, corresponding to cyanidin-3-glucoside and cyanidin-3-rutinoside, which accounted for 63.58% and 36.42% of the total anthocyanins respectively. This paper reports a study on the flexural performance of prestressed high strength steel reinforced concrete (PHSSRC) beams and proposes machine learning (ML) models for predicting the flexural bearing capacity of steel reinforced concrete (SRC) beams. Seven prestressed steel reinforced concrete (PSRC) beams were tested under a four-point bending load to investigate the effect of steel strength grade, steel ratio, and longitudinal reinforcement ratio on the flexural load capacity of beams. The test results indicated that increasing the steel strength grade and steel ratio significantly enhanced the bearing capacity of PSRC beams. A database consisting of 112 sets of experimental data on the flexural performance of SRC beams, including the test data in this study, was established for training and validating the ML models. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model and eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model were respectively developed to predict the flexural load capacity of SRC beams, and the accuracy of the flexural load capacity values predicted by the design specification, the ANN model and the XGBoost model were compared. The results show that the XGBoost model has the best prediction performance. Finally, the sensitivity analysis of the parameters was performed using the Shapley Additivity (SHAP) interpretation method.
