The paper attempts to explore the factors affecting the farm mechanization in Nepal, where agriculture is the primary livelihood of most people and the mechanization is crucial for efficient production and productivity. The government has also introduced a separate policy for agriculture mechanization in 2014. A primary data was collected from 300 households and analysed to assess and quantify the determinants of the farm mechanization. A descriptive analysis was carried out for understanding the data and the results were interpreted. Similarly, the multiple regression was executed to assess the factors affecting total investment in the farm machinery. The five different models were specified and compared for the better results. Moreover, to have deeper insight, the farm machinery was categorized into light machinery, heavy machinery and animal power. The results showed that light machinery is an essential part of Nepali farming system. Likewise, the presence of animal power, income per capita, per capita farm area, adaptation due to change in temperature, Household size, Farm area and income are significant determinants for total investment in farm mechanization.

본 논문에서는 변형된 밸런과 두 개의 도파기를 이용하여 이중 다이폴 준-야기 안테나(double-dipole quasi-Yagi antenna; DDQYA)의 대역폭과 이득을 향상시키는 방법에 관하여 연구하였다. 제안된 DDQYA 안테나는 두 개의 서로 다른 길이의 스트립 다이폴 안테나, 접지 반사기, 두 개의 도파기로 구성된다. 대역폭을 늘리기 위해 변형된 밸런을 사용하였고, 중간 및 고주파수 대역에서 이득을 높이기 위해 두 개의 도파기를 추가하였다. 첫 번째 도파기의 길이와 폭에 따른 안테나의 특성 변화를 분석하여 1.60—2.90 GHz 대역에서 7 dBi이상의 이득을 얻기 위한 최종 설계 변수를 얻었다. 최종 설계된 DDQYA 안테나를 FR4 기판 상에 제작하고 특성을 실험한 결과 전압 정재파비(voltage standing wave ratio; VSWR)가 2 이하인 대역은 1.57—3.00 GHz이고, 1.60—2.90 GHz 대역에서 이득이 7.1—7.8 dBi로 7 dBi 이상을 유지하는 것을 확인하였다.

이 논문에서는 한우 보증씨수소 선발과 보급에 대한 경제적 파급효과를 분석함으로써 한우 보증씨수소 선발 및 보급에 관한 연구 개발의 중요성을 인식하고 진정한 가치를 판단의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 분석결과 1등급이상을 기준으로 하였을 경우 전 산업에 미치는 경제적 파급효과는 총 4,984.9억원이고, 2등급기준으로 하였을 경우 전산업에 미치는 경제적 파급효과는 총 5,212.2억원인 것으로 나타났다. 한우보증씨수소의 선발과 보급은 한우산업의 발전에 있어서 아주 중요한 역할을 하고 있으며, 한우산업의 지속적인 발전을 가져오기 위하여서는 한우보증씨수소의 선발과 보급에 대한 지속적인 연구 개발을 필요로 하고 있다. 【This study provides the importance and value of selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls by analyzing an economic impact. The results of economic impact analysis show that selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls have a significant role in development of Korean bulls industry. The results of this study we found that the economic effect was 498.49billion won based on the condition of over grade 1. And the economic effect was 521.22 billion won based on the condition of over grade 2. It also insists that a continuous research and development of selection and dissemination of Korean proven bulls is needed for development of Korean bulls industry.】

A design method to achieve multiple band-rejection characteristics in a wideband circular slot antenna is presented. First, a wideband circular slot antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide is designed to operate in the frequency range between 2.3 and 11GHz, which covers WLAN, WiBro, WiMAX, and UWB frequency bands. Next, resonant frequency variations of rejection bands are examined with respect to different slot locations and lengths when slots are inserted on the ground conductor and the circular patch of the antenna. When arc-shaped slots are placed close to the circular transition from a feeding part, multiple notch bands are obtained. In this case, a half of the guided wavelength of the first notch band corresponds to the slot length and other notch bands are integer-multiple of the first band. Single notch band can be obtained when the slot is located off the transition part. Based on this study, a wideband circular slot antenna with five band-rejection frequency bands at 2.45, 3.5, 4.9, 7.35, and 9.8GHz is designed and fabricated. The first arc-shaped slots are located in the ground conductor close to the circular transition from a feeding part to generate notch bands at 2.45, 4.9, 7.35, and 9.8GHz, while the second slot for 3.73 GHz is placed on top side in the circular patch. The proposed design method is validated by good agreement between the simulated and measured results.

In this paper, we design rectifing circuits at 910MHz, which is used for passive RFID system, for wireless power transmission system by using two types of schottkey diodes HSMS_2822 and HSMS 2852, and the RF-DC conversion efficiencies for the curcuits are compared and analyzed in terms of input power and load resistance. When the input power is -20 to 17dBm, the conversion efficiency for HSMS_2852 is larger than in case of HSMS_2822. The output voltage and current at the load of the fabricated rectifying circuit are measured through a dipole antenna when input power is transmitted by a RFID reader and the diatance varies. The measured ouput volatge and current for the distance of 50cm are 2.5V and 5.75mA.

In this paper, we propose a numerical modeling method that can calculate the hydrodynamic behavior of a micro-sized charged particle in an electrophoretic cell. In order to simulate the electrokinetic characteristics of a particle in a real cell, we applied the electrostatic body force of the particle to the total dynamic interaction force and calculated the electrophoretic mobility so that we could calculate the dynamic response of the particle in a viscous fluid. We compared the calculated result with the experimental result of a horizontal switching electrophoretic cell for verification.

In this papar, the flow meter system for pulverized coal is developed for the pulverizer-burner system of the boiler or the blast furnace. The sensor of the system a lied the capacitance with a pair of electrode on the outer wall of the electric insulator pipe. The circuit is designed for the measurement of the granule flow density combining as a measuring electrode and a reference. In order to measure granule-flow density, the calibration curve between the weight measured from loadcell and the voltage from the circuit is created. It is verified that the flow meter system has reliability and accuracy using on-line test.

In this paper we calculated optical transmittance of the In-Plane Switching (IPS) liquid crystal (LC) cell with respect to temperature. By considering temperature energy term in the Gibb's free energy, we could achieve the temperature parameters that need to calculate the temperature dependence on the electro-optic characteristics. The calculated temperature parameters permit us to calculate scalar order parameter S with respect to temperature, so that finally we could calculate the optical transmittance of the IPS LC cell as a function of temperature.

— A novel electrode structure which can provide a high aperture ratio in a super in-plane-switching (S-IPS) liquid-crystal (LC) cell at high transmittance is proposed. To improve the aperture ratio of the S-IPS cell, a zig-zag electrode pattern was applied to the electrode edge in the active area that can effectively reduce the disclination area. In addition, a novel electrode structure was also applied to the bulk area which can reduce the cross-talk and light leakage between the pixel lines and the data lines. As a result, it was found that the proposed electrode structure could provide a higher aperture ratio than that of the conventional type by reducing the black matrix (BM) area so that a high transmittance compared to that of the conventional structure can be achieved.
