1. Quantum gauge confinement of multiple quarks based on the homogeneous 5D projection theory

Abstract

A quick and simplified review of the 5D quantum field theory is presented. The role of topological mapping, which must preserve gauge invariance, is done in two ways, leading to the realization of the gauge transformation in the 5D space-time becoming two separate gauge constraints, one for the multi-quark state quark constituents, while the other is the quantum confinement imposed on the gluon potentials, formed from products of vector potentials generated by products of the fractional charged quark currents. The procedure presented clearly shows multi-quark states can be designed and that they can be verified by experiments, such as the penta-quark state reported. Abstract

The calculation of the meson masses based on the 5D homogeneous space-time quantum projection was shown explicitly. There are no adjustable parameters, except the rest quark mass. The discovered p-p 125 GeV resonance was proposed by us as a six quark state. Thus in this article, we like to propose a 5 quarks yet unreported baryon based on a uudu*d state, which should have a mass of approximately 33.6 GeV., Comment: 12 pages

Abstract

The vapor pressure deficit reflects the difference between how much moisture the atmosphere could and actually does hold, a factor that fundamentally affects evapotranspiration, ecosystem functioning, and vegetation carbon uptake. Its spatial variability and long-term trends under natural versus human-influenced climate are poorly known despite being essential for predicting future effects on natural ecosystems and human societies such as crop yield, wildfires, and health. Here we combine regionally distinct reconstructions of pre-industrial summer vapor pressure deficit variability from Europe’s largest oxygen-isotope network of tree-ring cellulose with observational records and Earth system model simulations with and without human forcing included. We demonstrate that an intensification of atmospheric drying during the recent decades across different European target regions is unprecedented in a pre-industrial context and that it is attributed to human influence with more than 98% probability. The magnitude of this trend is largest in Western and Central Europe, the Alps and Pyrenees region, and the smallest in southern Fennoscandia. In view of the extreme drought and compound events of the recent years, further atmospheric drying poses an enhanced risk to vegetation, specifically in the densely populated areas of the European temperate lowlands.

Abstract

Bricks collected from a contaminated village (Muslyumovo) of the lower Techa river valley, Southern Urals, Russia, were measured using thermoluminescence and optically stimulated luminescence by four European laboratories and a U.S. laboratory to establish and compare the applied dose reconstruction methodologies. The bricks, collected from 60-100-year-old buildings, had accumulated a relatively high dose due to natural sources of radiation in the brick and from the surrounding environment. This work represents the results of a first international intercomparison of luminescence measurements for bricks from the Southern Urals. The luminescence measurements of absorbed dose in bricks collected from the most shielded locations of the same buildings were used to determine the background dose due to natural sources of radiation and to validate the age of the bricks. The absorbed dose in different bricks measured by four laboratories using thermoluminescence and optically stimulated luminescence at a depth of 10 +/- 2.5 mm from the exposed brick surface agreed within +/-21%. After subtraction of the natural background dose, the absorbed dose in brick due to contaminated river sediments and banks was calculated and found to range between 150 and 200 mGy. The cumulative doses in brick due to man-made sources of radiation at 100 and 130 mm depths in the bricks were also measured and found to be consistent with depth dose profiles calculated by Monte Carlo simulations of photon transport for possible source distributions.

Abstract

The 5D homogeneous space-time projection theory produces the Gell-Mann standard model, and the gluon fields together with quantum gauge constraint which is responsible for the major portion of the hadron mass as discussed previously. It was found that the SU(3) representations for the mesons and baryons together with the mass levels within each representations are generated by the gluon fields strength factors which form their respective Lorentz jet sum rules. In this paper, we deduce from the meson jet sum rule the remaining mesons, the J/�� particle with the exact mass of 3096 MeV, and the Y particles with mass 9460 MeV and 4140 MeV. For the baryons, there might be the not yet found octet with mass levels in the 5 to 8 GeV energy region, with mass level splitting also in the GeV range, far higher than those in the known octet and decuplet, 7 pages, 2 figures
