Abstract: This paper deals with a faunistic survey of Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) collected from some regions of three provinces, Alborz, Guilan and Qazvin in northern part of Iran. In total, 66 species in 47 genera and 13 subfamilies were collected and identified: Acaenitinae (two species, two genera), Anomaloninae (two species, two genera), Banchinae (six species, six genera), Campopleginae (six species, three genera), Cremastinae (three species, two genera), Cryptinae (eleven species, seven genera), Ichneumoninae (three species, three genera), Mesochorinae (five species, two genera), Metopiinae (eight species, four genera), Orthocentrinae (five species, five genera), Phygadeuontinae (two species, two genera), Pimplinae (five species, four genera) and Tryphoninae (seven species, five genera).

Abstract: To associate specimens identified by molecular characters to other biological knowledge, we need reference sequences annotated by Linnaean taxonomy. In this study, we (1) report the creation of a comprehensive reference library of DNA barcodes for the arthropods of an entire country (Finland), (2) publish this library, and (3) deliver a new identification tool for insects and spiders, as based on this resource. The reference library contains mtDNA COI barcodes for 11,275 (43%) of 26,437 arthropod species known from Finland, including 10,811 (45%) of 23,956 insect species. To quantify the improvement in identification accuracy enabled by the current reference library, we ran 1000 Finnish insect and spider species through the Barcode of Life Data system (BOLD) identification engine. Of these, 91% were correctly assigned to a unique species when compared to the new reference library alone, 85% were correctly identified when compared to BOLD with the new material included, and 75% with the new material excluded. To capitalize on this resource, we used the new reference material to train a probabilistic taxonomic assignment tool, FinPROTAX, scoring high success. For the full-length barcode region, the accuracy of taxonomic assignments at the level of classes, orders, families, subfamilies, tribes, genera, and species reached 99.9%, 99.9%, 99.8%, 99.7%, 99.4%, 96.8%, and 88.5%, respectively. The FinBOL arthropod reference library and FinPROTAX are available through the Finnish Biodiversity Information Facility (www.laji.fi) at https://laji.fi/en/theme/protax. Overall, the FinBOL investment represents a massive capacity-transfer from the taxonomic community of Finland to all sectors of society.

Abstract: This paper deals with ichneumonid species (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) which were collected from Ardebil and East Azarbayjan provinces (Northwestern Iran). Abstract: Outcomes of chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) have improved because of advancements in equipment and techniques. With global collaboration and knowledge sharing, we have identified 7 common principles that are widely accepted as best practices for CTO-PCI. 1. Ischemic symptom improvement is the primary indication for CTO-PCI. 2. Dual coronary angiography and in-depth and structured review of the angiogram (and, if available, coronary computed tomography angiography) are key for planning and safely performing CTO-PCI. 3. Use of a microcatheter is essential for optimal guidewire manipulation and exchanges. 4. Antegrade wiring, antegrade dissection and reentry, and the retrograde approach are all complementary and necessary crossing strategies. Antegrade wiring is the most common initial technique, whereas retrograde and antegrade dissection and reentry are often required for more complex CTOs. 5. If the initially selected crossing strategy fails, efficient change to an alternative crossing technique increases the likelihood of eventual PCI success, shortens procedure time, and lowers radiation and contrast use. 6. Specific CTO-PCI expertise and volume and the availability of specialized equipment will increase the likelihood of crossing success and facilitate prevention and management of complications, such as perforation. 7. Meticulous attention to lesion preparation and stenting technique, often requiring intracoronary imaging, is required to ensure optimum stent expansion and minimize the risk of short- and long-term adverse events. These principles have been widely adopted by experienced CTO-PCI operators and centers currently achieving high success and acceptable complication rates. Outcomes are less optimal at less experienced centers, highlighting the need for broader adoption of the aforementioned 7 guiding principles along with the development of additional simple and safe CTO crossing and revascularization strategies through ongoing research, education, and training.

Abstract: IMPORTANCE Early exposure to complex dietary proteins may increase the risk of type 1 diabetes in children with genetic disease susceptibility. There are no intact proteins in extensively hydrolyzed formulas. OBJECTIVE To test the hypothesis that weaning to an extensively hydrolyzed formula decreases the cumulative incidence of type 1 diabetes in young children. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS An international double-blind randomized clinical trial of 2159 infants with human leukocyte antigen-conferred disease susceptibility and a first-degree relative with type 1 diabetes recruited from May 2002 to January 2007 in 78 study centers in 15 countries; 1081 were randomized to be weaned to the extensively hydrolyzed casein formula and 1078 to a conventional formula. The follow-up of the participants ended on February 28, 2017. INTERVENTIONS The participants received either a casein hydrolysate or a conventional adapted cows milk formula supplemented with 20% of the casein hydrolysate. The minimum duration of study formula exposure was 60 days by 6 to 8 months of age. MAIN OUTCOMES AND MEASURES Primary outcome was type 1 diabetes diagnosed according to World Health Organization criteria. Secondary outcomes included age at diabetes diagnosis and safety (adverse events). RESULTS Among 2159 newborn infants (1021 female [47.3%]) who were randomized, 1744 (80.8%) completed the trial. The participants were observed for a median of 11.5 years (quartile [Q] 1-Q3, 10.2-12.8). The absolute risk of type 1 diabetes was 8.4% among those randomized to the casein hydrolysate (n = 91) vs 7.6% among those randomized to the conventional formula (n = 82) (difference, 0.8%[95% CI, -1.6% to 3.2%]). The hazard ratio for type 1 diabetes adjusted for human leukocyte antigen risk group, duration of breastfeeding, duration of study formula consumption, sex, and region while treating study center as a random effect was 1.1 (95% CI, 0.8 to 1.5; P = .46). The median age at diagnosis of type 1 diabetes was similar in the 2 groups (6.0 years [Q1-Q3, 3.1-8.9] vs 5.8 years [Q1-Q3, 2.6-9.1]; difference, 0.2 years [95% CI, -0.9 to 1.2]). Upper respiratory infections were the most common adverse event reported (frequency, 0.48 events/year in the hydrolysate group and 0.50 events/year in the control group). CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE Among infants at risk for type 1 diabetes, weaning to a hydrolyzed formula compared with a conventional formula did not reduce the cumulative incidence of type 1 diabetes after median follow-up for 11.5 years. These findings do not support a need to revise the dietary recommendations for infants at risk for type 1 diabetes. 8. Ksylitolin muuttaminen vedyksi vesifaasissa

Abstract: Työn tavoitteena oli tutkia vedyn valmistusta ksylitolista käyttäen vesifaasireformointia ja selvittää onko menetelmä teknisesti toteutettavissa prosessisimuloinnin näkökulmasta. Tämä menetelmä voisi mahdollisesti korvata fossiilisten polttoaineiden käytön vedyn valmistuksessa, koska vesifaasireformoinnin raaka-aineena voidaan käyttää uusiutuvia raaka-aineita kuten puuta ja sen sisältämää hemiselluloosaa. Vesifaasireformointi voisi olla potentiaalisesti ympäristöystävällisempi vaihtoehto kuin tämän hetkiset kaupalliset menetelmät. Vedyn vesifaasireformointi ksylitolista on kuitenkin vielä melko uusi menetelmä ja sitä ei ole vielä kaupallistettu. Suurimmassa osassa työtä käytettiin apuna eri artikkeleita, jotka käsittelivät vetyä, ja sen valmistusta. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen perusteella havaittiin, että ksylitolia voidaan tuottaa joko kemiallisesti hydrogenoimalla tai fermentoimalla ksyloosia. Ksylitoli voidaan muuntaa vedyksi ja muiksi hiilivedyiksi käyttämällä erilaisia katalyyttejä vesifaasireformoinnissa. Työn soveltavassa osassa tehtiin Aspen Plus -simulointiohjelmalla vesifaasireformoinnin simulointitarkasteluja, jonka avulla saatiin luotettavaa tietoa siitä, kuinka prosessi tulisi käyttäytymään. Simulointi tehtiin käyttäen apuna kirjallisuudesta saatuja tietoja. Tuloksista voidaan päätellä, että vetyä voidaan valmistaa ksylitolista vesifaasireformoinnilla, mutta samalla syntyy myös muita sivutuotteita. Tulokset eroavat jossain määrin kirjallisuudessa esitellyistä arvoista. Tämä havainto selittyy osittain sillä, ettei ole vielä tarkkaa tietoa siitä, mitä nämä kyseiset sivu- ja välituotteet ovat. Tämän vuoksi simulointi oli vaikea toteuttaa. Tulokset ovat toistettavissa, mutta niihin tulee kuitenkin suhtautua varovaisesti käytettyihin parametreihin liittyvistä epävarmuuksista johtuen. Saatuja tuloksia voidaan käyttää pohjatietona esimerkiksi mahdollisesti toteutettavissa laboratoriokokeissa, joissa vetyä pyritään valmistamaan vesifaasireformoinnilla. Toisaalta simulointimallia voidaan käyttää vesifaasireformointiin perustuvan vedyn valmistusprosessin alustavassa prosessisuunnittelussa.
