Doğu Karadeniz Bölgesi, yerel mimari özellikleri ile Türkiye’de kırsal turizm potansiyelinin yüksek olduğu bölgelerdendir. Ancak bölgede kırsal turizm tesislerinin sayısal yetersizliğinin yanı sıra, bölgenin mimari dokusuna uygun olmayan tesislerin yapılması da bölge doğal bileşenlerini ve mimari dokusunu tehdit etmektedir. Bölgenin arazi yapısı, iklimi, yöre mimarisinde kullanılan ahşap malzemenin temini ve yerel yapım tekniklerinin sürdürülebilmesi kaynaklı zorluklar bu durumun başlıca nedenlerindendir. Çalışmada, bölgedeki konaklama tesisi ihtiyacına çözüm olabilecek endüstriyel bir yapım sistemi olarak seçilen; Ahşap-Beton Kompozit (ABK) sistem özelliklerinin incelenmesi ve sistem elemanlarında yüksek rijitlik ve kompozit verimlilik değerine sahip yeni bir bağlantı elemanı olarak tasarlanan yapay çentikli bağlantı elemanı özelliklerinin deneysel (itme ve eğilme) çalışmalar ile açıklanması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma ile yapay çentikli ABK yapım sisteminin kırsal turizm tesislerinin inşasında kullanabilecek potansiyele sahip olduğu görülmüştür.

Kırsal turizm son yıllarda giderek artan talep ile birlikte önemli bir alternatif turizm türüdür. Kırsal turizmi daha iyi anlamak ve sağlıklı bir kırsal kalkınma modeli olarak ele alabilmek için var olan bilgi ve uygulamaların ortaya konması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca konu ile ilgili bilimsel ilerlemeyi görebilmek için araştırma boşluklarını ve bilimsel verileri güncellemeye ve bu araştırma alanındaki bilgiyi artırmaya yönelik eğilimleri analiz etmek önemlidir. Bu nedenle, bu bibliyometrik inceleme, kırsal turizm alanındaki araştırma ilerlemesini, eğilimleri ve güncellemeleri incelemiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan yayınların seçimi için Web of Science veri tabanı, bibliyometrik inceleme için VOSviewer ve Bibliometrix yazılımları kullanılmıştır. Bu bibliyometrik çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlar, konu ile ilgili çalışmaların 2000 yılından sonra artmaya başladığını ve son dönemlerde sürdürülebilirlik ve kalkınma konularının yoğun bir şekilde çalışıldığını ve ülkeler bazında da Çin ve İspanya’nın konu ile ilgili en yoğun çalışan ülkeler olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ayrıca çalışmada işletme ve destinasyon yöneticilerine çeşitli çıkarımlar da sunulmaktadır.

Although Yılkı is one of the least emphasized issues, it is an important tradition that has been maintained for hundreds of years in Turkish culture and socioeconomic life. It is a subject that has hardly been addressed by geographers. In this study, the Yılkı tradition in our country will be discussed with its main lines and evaluated through the example of İbradı Eynif Plain Yılkı horses. With the research, it is aimed to reach the etymology of the word and the historical adventure of the annual tradition by revealing the conceptual framework of the tradition. At the same time, it is aimed to analyze the geographical patterns of the event in terms of locations, ecosystems, and races. Qualitative research design was used as the research method. The literature review was obtained from field observations and interviews with local residents. It is noteworthy that Eynif Polje Yılkı horses gain importance in terms of natural tourism, and hundreds of visitors visit the region in order to observe the horses grazing on the plain in groups and collectively at certain times of the day and to take photos and videos. In order for these uncontrolled and coincidental visits to be productive, certain precautions should be taken to ensure that they are carried out in a controlled manner from well-defined routes and points at certain times of the day, without disturbing the horses. Sürdürülebilir yerleşimlerin sonucu olarak kültürel ve fiziki katmanlaşma ve yapılaşma oluşumu, Anadolu kentlerinin ortak niteliğidir. Tarihi süreçte oluşan bu katmanlaşmanın niteliği, kentsel yerleşmeler kadar, kırsal yerleşmelerin de kendine özgü karakterini ortaya çıkarabilmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, tarihi ve arkeolojik kalıntılarla yerele özgü kır mimarisi iç içe geçmiş bir bütünsellikle günümüze ulaşan iki örnek incelenmiştir. Bunlardan ilki; "Peygamberler Şehri" olarak adlandırılan Şanlıurfa'da, Şuayb Peygamberin orada yaşadığına ve öldüğüne inanılan ve Hazreti Musa ile buluştuğu kent olduğu sanılan antik Şuayb kenti; diğeri ise erken Bizans döneminde bir sınır garnizon kenti olarak kurulan ve çoğu ilk dönemden kalan savunma, su yapıları ve nekropol alanlarıyla dikkat çeken Dara antik kentidir. Çalışmanın amacı: aynı bölgede yer almalarına karşın farklı amaçlar için kurulan bu iki antik kentin, Kırsal ve Kültürel Turizm değerlerini, mimari açıdan irdelemek, benzer ve farklı yönlerini kıyaslamak, tanıtılmalarını sağlayarak ülke turizmine kazandırmaktır. Çalışmanın yöntemi, literatür taramasına ilave olarak, alanda tespit ve belgelemeler yapmaktır. Böylece, özellikle çok az bilinen Şuayip kentini araştırıp, kayıt altına almak hedeflenmektedir. Sonuçta elde edilen bulguların paylaşılması ile bu kentlerin turizm açısından potansiyellerinin artacağı, böylece turizm rotalarına dahil edileceği, dolayısıyla turizmin ekonomik açıdan bölgeye ve ülkeye katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Alternative tourism, which is used to define small-scale projects based on local population since 1970s, is a different concept than mass tourism depending on sea, sun and sand. Tourism is one of the most important economic activities in Sinop that is promoted as a city of culture, tourism and education. Short summer season limits current tourism activities and so the development of city depending on tourism. However, Sinop has an enormous tourism potential thanks to it untouched nature, national parks, lakes, caves, wild life, cultural and archaeological values with 5.000 years of history. In order to assess the alternative tourism potential and destinations of Sinop, this study conducted 22 semi-structured interviews with local stakeholders in 2018 October. Following, a SWOT analysis was performed within the framework of the findings of interviews. According to the tourism stakeholders, Sinop has a potential to become an important destination for alternative tourism types such as cultural tourism, rural tourism and sports tourism. However, the city is not able to realize this potential sufficiently due to lack of coordination among tourism stakeholders and poor infrastructure and urban transportation. Finally, suggestions depending on both the results of SWOT analysis and findings of interviews, are proposed to develop alternative tourism in Sinop. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The city of Van having tangible and intangible heritage sites, which is located at the Eastern Anatolia region, is an important tourism city. In the context of this study, the potential role of women in rural tourism development was critically evaluated. This study aims to discover the presence of women who put a lot of effort in the production of rural herby cheese, which is an important local food, but not yet being adequately considered as a touristic product. The study was conducted in four different provinces of Van, multiple case study design was employed as a part of qualitative research design. In this study, the ethnographic method and face-to-face interviews were mainly adopted to collect data on the issues related to the women who are intensive labour at every stage of the cheese-making and management process; their contributions, daily life experience, their cultural habits, the presence of cheese in their life. The findings include such differences in the role of women in the production process and in receiving benefits from economic outputs. Additionally, the women in the region affected by the socio-cultural attributes are determined their daily practices that imply the production and marketing process of cheese in the region. Finally, it has been concluded that there are still serious problems of the Van Herby Cheese (VHC) making process which seems to be having a great potential for the development of rural tourism in the region on the way of forwarding the cheese-making story into the touristic product. In this study, which aims to determine the views and opinions of the local people regarding the development of rural tourism in Urla district, rural tourism is evaluated in the light of data obtained from socio-economic and socio-cultural dimensions. Semi-structured interview method was used in the whole research. In the interviews with local people, it was determined that the population who are in the tourism sector one by one or who are aware of the tourism activities in the district have positive views on rural tourism but they are abstained about the development of the tourism phenomenon in their private areas. Local people believe that with the development of rural tourism, the population flow from villages to cities will decrease significantly. In various parts of the study, the information and opinions obtained from the local people are summarized. As a result of the study, both public and private enterprises and local people will be a part of tourism with the plans and projects aiming to develop rural tourism in the district and considerable employment will be ensured thanks to new business areas. Turizm bölgeleri için önemli bir çekicilik unsuru olarak kabul edilen festivaller sınırlı bir zaman ve mekân çerçevesinde yapılan zevkli aktiviteler, eğlenceler, festival karakteri taşıyan etkinlikler ya da bazı kavramların, konseptlerin, olayların, veya olguların kutlanmasıdır. Bu araştırmanın amacı kırsal bölgelerde yapılan festivallerin yerel halk üzerindeki sosyal etkilerini ve yerel halkın festivalle ilgili tutumlarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda oluşturulan anket Beypazarı’nda toplam 320 yerel halk üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda yapılan analizler sonucu, yerel halk festivallerin sosyal faydalarının sosyal maliyetinden daha fazla olduğuna inandığında festivalleri destekledikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bir diğer önemli bulgu da, yerel halkın festivalleri desteklemeleri ve gönüllü olarak festivale katılmaları sonucunda festivallerin başarıları artmaktadır.

This study is conducted in Ankara-Haymana County and based on linking ecosystem service benefits with rural tourism types. It aims to identify and prioritize ecosystem services and propose the suitable rural tourism type for the area by means of associating the benefits of these services with rural tourism types. For this purpose, the combination of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model and Fuzzy set technique is used. Selected ecosystem services -food, fresh water, biochemical natural medicines and pharmaceuticals, biological materials, pest regulation, natural hazard regulation, pollination, erosion regulation, aesthetic values, recreation and ecotourism, knowledge systems and educational values are associated with selected rural tourism options -agricultural, thermal and cultural tourism. Based on the findings, “thermal tourism” has been proposed as the most suitable tourism type for the study area under ecosystem services based decision support tools.

This research aims to determine the perception of the teachers working in the center of Iğdır province about the effects of tourism and to evaluate the thoughts of the teachers about tourism. The survey was done with 340 teachers living in Iğdır. Perceptions of economic, social and environmental effects of rural tourism were evaluated by the survey. The results show that teachers' perception of rural tourism is positive. Also, there is a significant difference between the variables of demographic characteristics of teachers and the perception of rural tourism. There is no significant difference between the social and economic perceptions of rural tourism according to the age of the teachers. However, significant differences were found between teachers' age and environmental perceptions. Accordingly, it has been found that the environmental perceptions of teachers between the ages of 20-29 on rural tourism are more positive than those over the age of 30. There is no significant difference between the perceptions of rural tourism on the teachers' marital status and gender. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Travel, which is the privilege of elites in traditional societies, has been transformed into tourism that produces the mobility of the modern individual together with industrialization. Tourism in the late modern world is a phenomenon that represents the mobility beyond residential area, in other words, it is a phenomenon representing leisure practice. Modern tourists are the result of the opportunities that are widespread due to the democratization of mobility. Tourism, which is an economic and sociocultural phenomenon leading to mobility and socio-cultural interactions with remote destinations, shapes the narrative of individuals and groups about each other. Tourism in Trabzon recently started in the 1990s with Russian tourists and continued with Arab tourists in the 2000s. In recent years, tourism is one of the main elements of the economy with urban changes (such as many hotels, car rental companies, restaurants, entertainment centers) for Arab tourists. However, besides this economic feature, there is also a new narrative and representation occurring as a result of interaction with Arab tourists. In this research, the new narrative was problematized on the basis of the critical discourse analysis, and semi-structured interviews were conducted within the basic qualitative research design. Interviews were conducted with 30 people consisting of sector employees and business owners; accommodation, car rental and shopping stores are in the center. Because of the evaluation conducted with descriptive analysis, it has been found that the most important problem about Arab tourists is based on language barrier and basic descriptions are shaped by the effect of this obstacle. It has been identified that the attitude defined as negativity bias in the discourse for Arab tourists is dominant. Thus, this discourse-oriented study revealed original contributions in an area that has not yet been competently studied in the literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development and sustainability of rural tourism in a region is closely related to the local residents' perspectives of rural tourism. When viewed from this aspect, it is crucial to point out their perspectives on rural tourism. The aim of this study is to determine the perspectives of the local residents living in Samsun Kızılırmak Delta (the districts of Alaçam, Bafra ve 19 Mayıs) on rural tourism in terms of economic, socio-cultural and environmental effects. In this context, a field study has been conducted. The sample of the study consists of 324 people living in Kızılırmak Delta. Moreover, the sample has been formed by convenience sampling method from nonprobability sampling methods. Economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts of rural tourism have been evaluated with a 28- item data collection tool. The data have been obtained by survey technique in the study conducted between January 2018 and February 2018. As a result of the study, it has been found that the local residents think that the rural tourism affects the region positively in terms of economic and socio-cultural aspects. However, they have unstable perspectives in terms of the environmental effects. When the demographic characteristics of the local residents are examined, it is determined that their perspectives on the effects of rural tourism differ. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The purpose of this research is to determine the perception of rural tourism managers to innovation barriers. Furthermore it was tried to determine the relationship between the demographic characteristics of the managers, characteristics of enterprises and the perception of innovation barriers. Findings obtained from the research determined that; while the highest average of the perception to innovation barriers regarding to "Innovate in our business involves high risk in terms of cost" expression in intra-business, "I think that the bureaucracy is high in all the supports (financial, legal, etc.) of the state which have an impact on innovation" in extra-business. As a result of the tested hypotheses; there is no significant difference between the age of the managers and the perception of innovation barriers, on the other hand there is a significant difference between the gender, educational level, tourism education, experience in the enterprises, sector experience and the perception of innovation barriers. In addition, there is a significant difference between species of enterprises, ownership status, occupancy rate, period of operation and types of innovation in enterprise and the perception of innovation barriers as the characteristics of the business. Çalışma açık hava rekreasyonel aktiviteleri içerisinde yer alan ekstrem sporların doğaya ve kırsal turizm alanlarına etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kırsal turizm insanların şehrin gürültüsünden kaçarak, kısa ve uzun süreli zaman geçirdikleri alternatif bir turizm türüdür. Kırsal turizm destinasyonlarında, rekreasyonel aktivitelere katılımlar olmaktadır. Bu aktiviteler yürüyüş, yeme – içme, yörenin kültürünü tanıma, kamp yapma ve ekstrem sporları vb içerebilmektedir. Doğal alanlarda yapılan sporlar, açık hava rekreasyonu olarak ifade edilmektedir. Kırsal turizmin pek çok çeşidi olmasına rağmen bu çalışmada açık hava rekreasyonel aktiviteleri içerisinde yer alan ekstrem sporlar ve bu sporların doğaya etkileri incelenmiştir. Literatür taranarak, rekreasyonel ekstrem spor aktiviteleri ve kırsal turizme etkileri araştırılmıştır. İnceleme sonucunda rekreasyonel aktivitelerin kırsal turizm destinasyonlarında ekonomik fayda sağladığı, istihdamı arttırdığı belirlenmiştir. Ekstrem spor yapanların doğa ile bütünleştiği, doğaya değer verdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte kullanılan ekipmanların, geride bırakılan atıkların ve suya karışan sabun gibi kimyasalların kirliliğe neden olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışma betimsel olup, ikincil verilere dayandırılmaktadır. Türkiye’de yapılan açık hava rekreasyonel aktiviteleri içerisinde yer alan ekstrem sporların, kırsal turizm destinasyonlarına etkisine dikkat çekmesi sebebiyle literatüre katkı sağlamaktadır., The aim of this study is to research the effects of extreme sports as outdoor recreational activities in natural and rural tourism areas.Rural tourism is alternative tourism where visitors spend their leisure time to escape from the turmoil of the city. Visitors participate in recreational activities including trekking, feasting, camping, doing extreme sports, visiting the cultural heritages of the destinations, and more in rural tourism destinations. These sports in natural areas are expressed as outdoor recreation.Although there are several varieties of rural tourism, in this study the effects of outdoor recreational activities that include extreme sports are examined. The effects of recreational activities and extreme sports were examined due through a literature review.As a result of the research, it was determined that recreational activities provide economic benefits and increase employment in rural tourism destinations. It has been also determined that those who do extreme sports in nature and in rural tourism areas care for it. However, it has been finding out that some of the discarded equipment and rubbish leftover in nature and in rural tourism areas. In addition to that, chemicals such as soap get mixed into the water and cause pollution.The study is descriptive and is based on secondary data. The study contributes to the literature as it draws attention to the effect of outdoor recreational activities such as extreme sports in rural tourism destinations in Turkey

Yeni yüzyılla birlikte, kentleşme ve sanayileşme dalgalarının geri plana ittiği kırsal alanların gelişimi sürdürülebilirlik, gıda üretimi, iktisadi büyüme ve toplumsal yapının dayanıklılığı bağlamlarında daha fazla gündeme gelmiştir. Kırsal turizm, ana sektör olarak tarım ile gelişen kırsal alanlar bakımından taşıdığı potansiyel ile öne çıkmıştır. Bu potansiyelin gerçekleşmesi ve sürdürülebilmesi için yerel halk tarafından sahiplenilmesi ve kapsayıcı bir gelişim izlemesi önemlidir. Bu makale, kırsal turizme dönük yerel halkın algısını ölçmeye dönük bir ölçeğin Türkçeye uyarlanmasını ve geçerlilik ve güvenirlik çalışmasını sunmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında Karadeniz’in Ordu iline bağlı iç bölgede dağlık bir alanda kurulu olan Mesudiye ilçesinde kırsal turizm gelişme potansiyeline dönük yerel halkın algısı ölçülmüştür. Pavlic vd.’nin (2019) altı alt boyutlu ve 25 sorudan oluşan ölçeği uyarlanmış ve Mesudiye’den 883 katılımcıdan toplanan anket verisine dayanarak ölçeğin geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik testleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda, uyarlama sonucu ortaya çıkan ölçeğin kırsal turizme dönük yerel halkın algısını ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğu ortaya konmuştur., While urbanization and industrialization waves of the previous century kept rural areas in the background, rural development has recently been discussed more in terms of sustainability, food security, economic growth and social resilience. In this regard, rural tourism become prominent with its developmental potential for rural areas, in which main economic sector has always been agriculture. For the realization and sustainability of this potention, an inclusive development and adoption by local people is highly important. This article adapts a scale for measuring the perception of local people towards rural tourism into Turkish, and tests for validity and reliability of the scale. This research depends on survey data of 883 participants from Mesudiye, which is a district located in a mountainous area in the interior part of Ordu, a Black Sea region city. The adapted scale belongs to Pavlic et al. (2019) and consists of six sub-dimensions with 25 questions. As a result of validity and reliability analysis, the article shows that the scale is valid and reliable to measure local people’s perception towards rural tourism.

Sürekli olarak yaşadığı yer dışına belirli bir süre ile seyahat eden bireyler, gittikleri destinasyonlarda yiyecek içecek işletmelerinde sunulan yemekleri tüketmek durumundadır. Bu kapsamda ziyaret edilen destinasyonlarda sunulan yöresel yemekler turistlerin o bölgeye olana ilgilerinin artmasına sebep olmaktadır. Bu durum yöresel mutfak kültürünün bir turistik değer olarak yaygınlaşmasını sağlamaktadır. Yapılan literatür araştırmasında ulusal yazında kırsal turizmin yöresel yemeklerle olan ilişkisinde bir çok çalışmanın yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Alan yazına katkı sağlamak için Amasya ilinin yöresel yemekleri kırsal turizm bağlamında çalışmamızda değerlendirilmiştir. Yöresel Amasya yemeklerinin kırsal turizm noktasındaki potansiyelinin belirlemesi amacıyla yapılan bu kavramsal çalışmada; nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden belgesel tarama tekniğinden faydalanılarak genel tarama modeli uygulanmıştır. Amasya, köklü bir kültürel mirasın yanı sıra, özellikle hamur işleri ile zengin bir gastronomik kültüre de sahiptir. Amasya mutfağı çorbalardan et yemeklerine, hamur işlerinden tatlılara kadar damak zevkine çok çeşitli seçenekler sunmaktadır. Bunlardan biri, başta düğün törenleri olmak üzere, ülke çapında birçok tören yemeği toplantılarının temelini oluşturan keşkektir. Orta Asya Türklerinin temel gıdalarından biri olan keşkek, Amasya'daki ustaların kullandığı malzemeler ve hazırlama tekniği sonucu ortaya çıkan lezzetiyle oldukça ün kazanmıştır. Ayrıca kuru baklanın et ve diğer bileşenlerle birleştirilmesiyle hazırlanan "Bakla Dolması" bir diğer öne çıkan yemeklerden biridir. Toyga çorbası, sakala çarpan, etli çiçek bamya, yanuç ve vişneli ekmek Amasya'nın yöresel yemeklerine verilebilecek örneklerden bazılarıdır. Amasya ilinin kırsal alanlarındaki meyve bahçeleri, ormanları, doğal gölleri, yaylaları vb. gibi birçok avantaja sahip olması Amasya’da yürütülecek olası kırsal turizm faaliyetlerine yardımcı olacak zenginliklerdir. Bu zenginlikler iyi yönetildiğinde her turiste aradığı benzersiz yemek deneyimi doğal mekânlarda eşsiz bir şekilde yaşatılabilir. Individuals who constantly travel outside of their place of residence for a certain period of time have to consume the meals offered in food and beverage businesses in the destinations they go to. In this context, the local dishes offered in the visited destinations cause an increase in tourists' interest in that region. This situation enables the local cuisine culture to become widespread as a touristic value. In the literature research, it has been determined that many studies have been carried out in the national literature on the relationship between rural tourism and local food. In order to contribute to the literature, the local dishes of Amasya province were evaluated in our study in the context of rural tourism. In this study, which was conducted to determine the potential of local Amasya dishes in rural tourism; The general scanning model was applied by making use of the documentary scanning technique, one of the qualitative research methods. In addition to a deep-rooted cultural heritage, Amasya also has a rich gastronomic culture, especially with pastries. Amasya cuisine offers a wide variety of options from soups to meat dishes, from pastries to desserts. One of these is the keskek, which forms the basis of many ceremonial dinner gatherings throughout the country, especially wedding ceremonies. Keskek, one of the staple foods of the Central Asian Turks, has gained quite a reputation for its flavor resulting from the ingredients and preparation technique used by the masters in Amasya. In addition, "Stuffed Beans", which is prepared by combining dried broad beans with meat and other ingredients, is another outstanding dish. Toyga çorbası, sakala çarpan, etli çiçek bamya, yanuç and vişneli ekmek are some of the examples that can be given to the local dishes of Amasya. Orchards, forests, natural lakes, plateaus, etc. in the rural areas of Amasya province. It is richness that will help possible rural tourism activities to be carried out in Amasya. When these riches are managed well, the unique dining experience that every tourist seeks can be experienced in a unique way in natural places.

- Abstract
Rural tourism as an alternative type has been one of the areas which has gradually grown in tourism industry. Stakeholders, specifically tourism establishments, have an important role in the development of rural tourism in a region. This study aims to reveal tourism managers' attitude towards rural tourism. The research was carried out in Bursa-Cumalıkızık which is implemented rural tourism and in UNESCO World Heritage List. A qualitative approach was adopted and data was gathered from 18 tourism managers. According to the results, tourism managers have a positive attitude towards rural tourism. However, there are some incompatibilies, specifically in restoration, between tourism managers and local authorities. Local authorities and managers need to take joint action for decision. The other finding of the study is that managers mustn't focus only tourist numbers but also local texture protection of the region. This study aims to contribute understanding tourism managers' attitude towards rural tourism and offer solutions in this context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Structural change in Turkiye's tourism started about 1980s and it has been gradually developed. Tourism has some positive and negative effects on social, cultural, political and psychological factors. Thus the effects of tourism especially on local people can be significant and the perception of these effects may determine the developmental direction of the tourism. The aim of this article is to determine tourism perception of people living in Birgi which is a significant tourism center with her cultural and historical heritage and also to determine the prominent factors that create a tourism perception among local people. According to the results of the study the participants state that they are eager to take place in possible tourism investments planned for the district. The people are aware of the deficiencies in planning of tourism and people state their concerns on economy-environment relation for all the tourism investments planned in the district. Local people's expectation for the planning of tourism focus on subjects such as increasing the number of tourism enterprises, transportation, publicity and marketing. Especially people's demand on the establishment of new plants and the increasing of the public services is a kind of tourism perception that can be directly linked to economy. That the little more than the half of the participants have negative tourism perceptions on the issues such as environmental pollution and the destruction of historical places assert that people have also some concerns related to the negative sides of tourism. In the tourism industry, which is one of the fastest developing industries in the world, tourist preferences are generally shaped on the axis of mass tourism activities. Mass tourism is a tourism activity that usually takes place when highly preferred types of holidays, such as 3S, are exposed to intense tourist demand in coastal destinations within a limited time period. Destinations that meet the demand for mass tourism usually provide services over their carrying capacity due to their high demand and consume their limited resources quickly. In addition, the ristriction of mass tourism movements in limited areas and opportunities causes inequalities in interregional improvement and development. The idea of developing alternative types of tourism to mass tourism movements has appeared to ensure the sustainability of destinations and tourism activities by preventing these corrosive effects. Rural tourism is a type of tourism that has a wide variety of activities which are carried out in areas that are outside of urban life. This study aimed to examine Kemaliye (Eğin), that is a small district of Erzincan Province in the Eastern Anatolia Region, which is known for its natural beauty and extreme sports accessibility, on the axis of rural tourism activities. Kemaliye has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2021 in the category of mixed areas (natural and cultural) in temporary status; since March 2022, it has also been included in the International Cittaslow network. In the study, rural tourism and Kemaliye's natural, historical, socio-cultural and architectural features that may be at the forefront within the scope of rural tourism and the attempts that were taken to promote Kemaliye were listed and in the conclusion section, suggestions were made for the development of Kemaliye's rural tourism potential., Dünyanın en hızlı gelişen endüstrilerinin başında gelen turizm endüstrisinde, turistik tercihler genel olarak kitle turizm faaliyetleri ekseninde şekillenmektedir. Kitle turizmi, genellikle deniz kum güneş gibi çok tercih edilen tatil türlerinin, kıyı şeridi destinasyonlarında, kısıtlı bir tarih aralığında, yoğun bir turist talebine maruz kalmasıyla gerçekleşen turizm faaliyetleridir. Kitle turizm talebini karşılayan destinasyonlar genellikle yoğun talep görmeleri sebebiyle taşıma kapasitelerinin üzerinde hizmet vermekte, kıt kaynaklarını hızla tüketmektedir. Ayrıca kitle turizm hareketlerinin sınırlı bölgelerde ve imkânlarda sıkışması bölgeler arası gelişme ve kalkınmada eşitsizliklere sebep olmaktadır. Bu aşındırıcı etkilerin önüne geçerek destinasyonların ve turizm faaliyetlerinin sürdürülebilirliğinin sağlanması için kitle turizm hareketlerine alternatif turizm türlerinin geliştirilmesi fikri ortaya çıkmıştır. Kırsal turizm, kent yaşamının dışında kalan alanlarda gerçekleştirilen geniş faaliyet alanlarına sahip bir turizm türüdür. Bu çalışma Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi’nde yer alan Erzincan ilinin küçük bir ilçesi olan, doğal güzellikleri ve ekstrem sporlara elverişliliği ile tanınan, Kemaliye’nin (Eğin) kırsal turizm faaliyetleri ekseninde incelenmesini amaçlamıştır. Kemaliye 2021 yılı itibari ile UNESCO Dünya Mirasları listesine, karma alanlar (doğal ve kültürel) kategorisinde geçici statüde girmiş; 2022 yılı Mart ayı itibari ile de Uluslararası Cittaslow ağına dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada kırsal turizm ve Kemaliye’nin kırsal turizm kapsamında ön plana çıkabilecek doğal, tarihi, sosyo-kültürel, mimari özellikleri ve Kemaliye’nin tanıtımı için gerçekleştirilen girişimler sıralanmış ve sonuç bölümünde Kemaliye’nin kırsal turizm potansiyelinin geliştirilmesi için önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

12 villages within the borders of Ilgaz Mountain National Park were determined as research area. The aim of the study is to evaluate the rural tourism potential of the villages located in Ilgaz Mountain National Park in terms of socio-cultural aspects. In this context, data were collected through focus group interviews with 12 village headmen in Ilgaz Mountain National Park, and the obtained data were analyzed and mapped with the MAXQDA program. As a result of the opinions of the headmen about the village people, it has been determined that the local people have a positive view on rural tourism, but the biggest constraints in the realization of rural tourism are financial support at local and national scale, vocational training and lack of employment.

Bu çalışmada kültürel ve kırsal turizm açısından önemli bir destinasyon olan Şirince’yi ziyaret eden turistlerin çevrimiçi turizm deneyimleri içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, 28.09.2020 tarihine kadar dijital bir seyahat platformu olan Tripadvisor web sayfalarında yayınlanmış 824 adet çevrimiçi Türkçe yorum, araştırmanın analiz aşamasında kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen yorumlar nitel veri analizlerinde sıkça kullanılan MAXQDA yazılımından yararlanılarak çözümlenmiş, kelime frekansları ve bulutu oluşturulmuştur. Çevrimiçi yorumlar incelendiğinde; ziyaretçilerin kültür ve kırsal, etkinlik, yöresel yiyecek ve içecekler, konaklama, ulaşım, yöresel hediyelik eşya ve alış-veriş deneyimleri ile birlikte düşük oranda olumsuz deneyim yaşadığı ortaya çıkmaktadır. Şirince’ye yönelik olarak yapılan Türkçe çevrimiçi yorumlarının yaklaşık %80’i olumlu; %20’si ise olumsuz olduğu saptanmıştır. Ziyaretçiler tarafından paylaşılan olumlu deneyimler arasında Şirince evleri, kiliseler, Şirince şarapları, yöresel yiyecek ve içecekler öne çıkarken, olumsuz yöndeki deneyimleri ise kalabalık, trafik yoğunluğu ve fiyatların pahalılığı gibi unsurlar oluşturmaktadır.

Eğirdir havzası içinde bulunan Barla, tarihsel arka planı çok eskilere dayanan bir yerleşim yeridir. Sahip olduğu coğrafi ve ekolojik özellikleri nedeniyle insanların eskiden beri yaşamayı tercih ettiği bir mekândır. Aynı zamanda, 20. yüzyılın başlarına kadar Türkler’in ve Rumlar’ın birlikte yaşadıkları bir yerleşim yeridir. Eğirdir Gölü’nün kenarında, Barla Dağı eteklerinde bulunan köyün başlıca geçim kaynakları, balıkçılık, hayvancılık, sebze-meyve yetiştiriciliği ile inanç turizminden elde edilen gelirlerdir. 5647 Sayılı “Turizm Müesseselerini Teşvik Kanunu” ile turizm müesseselerinin kurulumu, ülkenin ekonomik ve toplumsal kalkınması açısından devletçe teşvik edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, Barlalı örnek girişimci Recep Güllü, doğup büyüdüğü yerin coğrafi ve ekolojik özelliklerinin sahip olduğu kırsal turizm potansiyelinin farkındadır. Bu doğal güzelliklerin turizm faaliyetleriyle değerlendirilerek yöre kalkınmasına katkı sağlaması için 1962 yılında 4-5 aparttan oluşan küçük bir tesisi hizmete açmıştır. İkinci olarak Isparta-Eğirdir yöresinin turistik kriterlere uygun en modern otelini ise “Gül Oberj Otel” adıyla 1964 yılında; üçüncü olarak da müşterilerin Eğirdir Gölünün imkânlarından daha iyi yararlanabilmesi için, Barla’nın göl kenarında bulunan Badırıklı mevkiinde plaj, restoran ve 7 tane motel odasından oluşan kampingi de “Gül Oberj Kamping” adıyla 1971 yılında hizmete açmıştır. Güllü, açtığı bu tesisler ile yörenin kırsal turizm potansiyelini değerlendirerek toplum kalkınmasına katkı sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, Recep Güllü’nün kişiliği ve yöreye olan katkıları nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden anlatı araştırması tekniğiyle irdelenmiştir., Barla is a settlement with a very old historical background. Due to its geographical and ecological characteristics, it is an old and important settlement where people have preferred to live in the Eğirdir basin from past to present. At the same time, it is a multicultural settlement where Greeks and Turks lived together until the beginning of the 20th century.The livelihood of the village, which is located on the skirts of Barla Mountain, on the edge of Eğirdir Lake, consists of income from its ecological resources, fishing, animal husbandry, vegetable-fruit cultivation and faith tourism. With the “Tourism Institutions Encouragement Law” No. 5647, the establishment of tourism establishments was encouraged by the state in terms of the country's economic and social development. In this context, the exemplary entrepreneur from Barla, Recep Güllü, was aware of the rural tourism potential of the geographical and ecological characteristics of the place where he was born and raised. In 1962, a small facility consisting of 4-5 apartments was put into service in order to contribute to the development of the region by evaluating these natural beauties with tourism activities. Secondly, the most modern hotel in Isparta-Egirdir region, which met the touristic criteria, was established in 1964 with the name of “Gül Oberj Hotel”; Thirdly, in order for the customers to make better use of the opportunities of Lake Eğirdir, the camp, which consists of a beach, restaurant and 7 motel rooms, was put into service in 1971 under the name of “Gül Oberj Camping” in Badırıklı, located by the lakeside of Barla. Güllü contributed to the development of the society by evaluating the rural tourism potential of the region with these facilities.In this study, Recep Güllü’s personality and his contributions to the region were examined with the technique of narrative research.

Bir bölgenin kalkınması için sektör çeşitlendirmede ilk göze çarpan turizm potansiyelidir. Kırsal turizm kırsal alanların kalkınmasının en önemli araçlarından biridir. Kırsal turizmdeki gelişim ile yöre halkının kırsal turizm bilinci arasında güçlü bir bağ olduğu düşünülmektedir. Ayrıca kırsal turizm sonucu gerçekleşen sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel değişimlerden en çok etkilenen kesim o bölgede yaşayan yerel halktır. Gelişmekte olan ve yeni tanınırlık kazanmaya başlayan bir turizm bölgesinde turizmin bölge halkı üzerindeki algısı ve etkilerine bakış açısı o bölgedeki turizmin gelişmesini ve gelişmenin ne yönde seyredeceğini belirlemek açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Tokat’ta kırsal turizmin gelişmesinde önemli bir etken olan yerel halkın kırsal turizm algısını ve bakış açısını belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada oransal tesadüfi örnekleme yönteminden yararlanılarak 383 kişiye anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yerel halkın turizmin Tokat’taki gelişim sürecini olumlu etkilediği, Tokat’ın doğal, tarihi ve kültürel potansiyelini kırsal turizmin gelişimine uygun bulduğu, turizm yatırımlarının artmasının gerektiğini düşündüğü görülmüştür. Ankete katılanların büyük bir çoğunluğuna göre turizm ilin ekonomik olarak canlanmasında ve sosyo-kültürel gelişiminde önemli etkiye sahiptir. Bununla beraber, mevcut tesislerin iyileştirilmesi, hizmet kalitesinin artırılması, ulaşım olanaklarının geliştirilmesi ve ilin daha etkili tanıtımının yapılarak turizme hareketlilik katılmasıyla dinamizm kazandırılmasının istendiği anlaşılmaktadır. Tokat İlinin kırsal turizm potansiyelinin değerlendirilerek turizm aktivitelerinin yıl içerisine yayılması, ilin turizm geliri bakımından katma değerinin artırılması gerekmektedir.

The scope of my research and the main purpose in recent years, increasing the demand for large rural tourism in Turkey and how this demand is met, how in this field in the country are carried out to determine the level of development of the rural tourism. Rural tourism, which ended with the settlement, as well as tourism based on natural resources is a kind of tourism. A very positive impact in the tourism sector in developed or developing countries, other form of tourism as an alternative, important with each passing day, becomes more evident. Cultural values being a complement to the rural tourism is attracting the attention of local and foreing tourists. If Turkey gave in majer support to the rural tourism it would take amount of benefits. To the tourism in the country. In addition, it can reduce the intensity of tourism in some seasons of the year and it can make sense to eliminate the stable destribution of tourism in the country. Tourism is one of the most compatible with the concept of rural tourism. There is an exceptional contribution to the proception of natural and cultural heritage of rural tourism.
