This purpose of this research work primarily focuses on assessing the contact characteristics of a novel 3D printed flexible poly lactic acid (PLA) fingertip exposed to a normal load ranging from 1–750 N. The 3D printed fingertip is pressed against three different target surfaces having concave, convex and flat profiles to facilitate a rational comparison. The growth of contact area is recorded for a wide range of applied normal force against the fingertip on logging sheets and the same is converted in vector format for facilitating digital measurements. From close examination of the results, it may be noted that the rate of growth of contact area follows the parametric relationship a = cN γ . A weighted least squares fit algorithm is used to formulate the parametric relationship based on experimental data. Further, the contact characteristics of the 3D printed fingertip follows the same pattern of soft neoprene fingertip, and it is well in line with the expected results. Hence, it is evident that 3D printed fingertips could be utilized for handling fragile to hard objects and capable of handling multi-profiled objects in dexterous robotic manipulation. Moreover, complex profiled fingertips can easily be manufactured by 3D printing, and it can be considered as a better alternative for conventionally manufactured anthropomorphic robotic grippers. Practical implications of this research will be highly useful for development of soft-fingered robotic grippers for dexterous robotic manipulations.

Surface technology is making emerging trends in engineering environment. Wax-epoxy coatings are one of the surface improvers, which are also found in nature and appear on plant leaves, such as lotus leaf and some insect wings. The present study was focused on this stream line where the effect of the fumed silica addition into the rice bran (RB) wax-epoxy coating on aluminum substrate. The main aim of the present study was to find how the addition of RB wax modified the base properties of epoxy resin and what could be the significant of adding fumed silica as strength booster. The coatings were done using spray coating technique at ambient temperature. According to the results, the addition of RB wax into the resin along with fumed silica improved the mechanical, hydrophobic nature, thermal stability, and wear resistance. A highest flexural strength of 102 MPa, lap shear strength of 21.65 MPa, microhardness of 88 shore-D, Sp. wear rate of 0.003mm3/Nm, and the lowest COF of 0.38 were noted for composites made using rice bran and fumed silica particle. The density remains same due to low density wax material addition with noticeable improvement in surface hardness. The SEM micrographs revealed flat fractograph for pure epoxy and high wavy structure for wax mixed fumed silica dispersed epoxy coating. The surface roughness of coated surfaces explicated less surface roughness than uncoated one. These eco-friendly coatings could be used in automobile, medial, and biological applications.

In recent years, increase the demand in automobile companies, and to survive in a competitive world, and to achieve the customer target and satisfaction, the companies going through for automation. So it leads to improvement in quality and brings zero defects and also reduces the process cycle time, manpower cost and bring safety aspects. In our project, two gripper plates (six electromagnets each) are mounted on C-type gripper bracket. These electromagnets are used to hold the face of Clutch Cover plate. For forming process, the clearance between the tool and cover plate is 0.5 mm for avoiding fracture and plastic deformation. Our aim is to find the deformation of gripper bracket at Static condition. The model of robot gripper bracket is established using the SOLIDWORKS software and Finite element analysis (FEA) is done by ANSYS 17.0 and the results are compared with the optimization techniques tool. Different values of loads are applied are compared and prove the design is valid.

The purpose of the present investigation was to find out the effect of aerobic training programme on se- lected physical fitness variables among school cricket players. To achieve this purpose of the study, thirty male students were selected from Sri Jeyandra Saraswathi Maha Vidyalaya Matriculation higher secondary school and their age ranged between 16 to 18years. The selected subjects were divided into two group's namely aerobic training and control groups of fifteen each. The experimental group I underwent aerobic training for 12 weeks, five days a week, whereas the control group maintained their daily routine activities and no special training was given. The following variables namely, muscular strength and power were selected as criterion variable and tested by using, sit-ups for strength and standing broad jump for power. All the subjects of the two groups were tested on selected dependent variables at prior and immediately after the training programme. The pre and post-test scores were statistically examined by applying the analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) for each and every selected variable separately. In all cases 0.05 level of confidence was fixed as the level of significance difference. Aerobic training shown significant improvement after the completion of training programme of twelve weeks in all selected variables such as muscular strength and power among school cricket players.
