The present paper investigates the impacts of three distinct reaction types (sensitized reactions, Arrhenius reactions, and bimolecular reactions) on steady non-adiabatic combined Couette-Poiseuille flow of incompressible optically thin fluid along catalytic surface reaction considering the influence of variable properties and thermal radiation. The reaction occurring at the catalytic plate is based on Arrhenius kinetics with a temperature-dependent pre-exponential factor. To simplify the complexity of the physical model, dimensionless variables are initiated, enabling the reduction from a system of partial differential equations to a system of ordinary differential equations. The Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) is employed as a solution technique, providing semi-analytical solutions to the problem. Results reveal that the dimensionless temperature attains its highest value in the bimolecular reaction, while it assumes its minimum value in the sensitized. Finally, more reactant is consumed in a bimolecular reaction compared to other reactions.

Considering the significance of hybrid nanofluid over convectional fluid in terms of high rate of heat transfer, nanoscience and nanotechnology has been enhanced by dispersing nanoparticles in the base fluid to obtain new material with series of properties and applications. In this study, the analysis of chemically reactive squeezing flow conveying silica and titanium dioxide nanoparticles in water-based medium across two parallel plates with higher order velocity slip is carried out employing three different chemical kinetics for exothermic/endothermic reactions. The system of partial differential equations resulting from the fluid model assumed the ordinary differential form in alliance with appropriate similarity variables. The modified ordinary differential equations is simulated numerically in MATLAB software package using fourth order Runge–Kutta integration scheme in line with shooting techniques. The tested validity for limited case conform to preceding reports in the literature. The outcomes from the scrutiny uncovered in tables and graphs revealed that the velocity and temperature distributions of the hybrid nanofluid decrease steadily as first order slip factor varies from 0.2 to 1.0 but increase with second order slip factor at all levels of chemical kinetics. Moreover, for exothermic reaction, the rate of heat transfer decreases at the lower plate by −221.923% with increasing value of activation energy parameter when m=−2,0,0.5 but converse is the case in endothermic reaction as the rate of heat transfer increases by 106.382%.

The numerical exploration of viscous variation, thermal radiation, and Arrhenius reaction modifications on an electrically conducting nanofluid flow through a convectively heated surface is scrutinized in this study. By means of well-suited similarity variables, the nonlinear coupled Ordinary Differential Equations obtained from the mathematical model governing the fluid flow are solved with MATLAB in-built bvp4c software package following shooting approach in conjunction with 4th order Runge–Kutta formula. In addition, a statistical tool called slope of linear regression through data point is introduced. A good agreement was established when the limiting case of the system of equations is compared with previous report in the literature. The results are presented in graphs and tables. It was discovered that enhancement in the viscous variation parameter boosts the velocity gradient and heat transfer rate but lowers the rate of mass transfer and density of motile microorganisms at different levels of Rdand Kr. More so, increase in chemical reaction lowers the concentration distribution but rises with thermal radiation.

The significance of viscosity and thermal conductivity variation parameters on the dynamics of Newtonian fluid conveying tiny particles over a convectively heated surface is examined. The dimensional partial differential equations controlling the flow are remodeled to ordinary differential equations via suitable similarity variables in conjunction with the rescaled Nusselt, Sherwood and density number of motile microorganisms. The resulting nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations are consequently scaled down to a system of first order ordinary differential equations. The system of equations are evaluated arithmetically via shooting technique along with fourth order Runge–Kutta integration scheme for different boundary conditions. The result was found to be in excellent agreement when compared with available records in the literature. The major highlights of the problem are analyzed and discussed thoroughly. It is seen that increase in viscosity variation parameter is capable to cause a decline in the local skin friction coefficients at the rate of −0.04985and the Nusselt number is an increasing function of the thermal conductivity variation parameter.
