In this article, we introduce the notions of generalized fractional integrals for the interval-valued functions (IVFs) of two variables. We establish Hermite-Hadamard (H-H) type inequalities and some related inequalities for co-ordinated convex IVFs by using the newly defined integrals. The fundamental benefit of these inequalities is that these can be turned into classical H-H inequalities and Riemann-Liouville fractional H-H inequalities, and new kk-Riemann-Liouville fractional H-H inequalities can be obtained for co-ordinated convex IVFs without having to prove each one separately.

In this study, we first obtain a new identity for generalized fractional integrals which contains some parameters. Then by this equality, we establish some new parameterized inequalities for co-ordinated convex functions involving generalized fractional integrals. Moreover, we show that the results proved in the main section reduce to several Simpson-, trapezoid- and midpoint-type inequalities for various values of parameters.

In this work, we introduce the notions about the Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals for interval-valued functions on co-ordinates. We also establish Hermite-Hadamard and some related inequalities for co-ordinated convex interval-valued functions by applying the newly defined fractional integrals. The results of the present paper are the extension of several previously published results.

Introduction: Metastatic disease is one of the main causes of death and factors affecting overall survival. It is known that selected patients with pulmonary oligometastases whose primary tumor is under control and who have adequate respiratory capacity may benefit from metastasectomy by resecting all detected lesions. Aim: To report our findings on the use of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for pulmonary metastasectomy, with a focus on identifying suitable candidates. Material and methods: Between August 2010 and 2023 a total of 532 pulmonary metastasectomy procedures were performed in our institution. Metastasectomy was performed with VATS for 281 of those patients. Results: VATS metastasectomy was performed in 131 patients with a single lesion on preoperative imaging, while 110 patients underwent metastasectomy for multiple lesions. The rate was significantly (p < 0.05) lower in the group with multiple lesions removed during surgery (38 months) than in the group with only one lesion removed during surgery (60 months). The predicted survival time in the group with other tumor histology (79 months) was significantly (p < 0.05) higher than in the groups with tumor histology carcinoma (41.4 months) and sarcoma (55.5 months). Conclusions: The best prognosis after metastasectomy is provided in cases with a single nodule. Grade is also an important prognostic factor affecting survival, particularly for grade 1 tumor. The histopathological type of the primary tumor is also a significant prognostic factor affecting survival after pulmonary metastasectomy in secondary pulmonary neoplasms, particularly for sarcoma and carcinoma. The purpose of this study is to examine the attitudes of non-thesis master's degree program: geography teacher candidates towards teaching profession regarding several socio-cultural features. The study was conducted in different universities with 218 geography teacher candidates enrolled in the geography education non-thesis master's degree program. The study was made by survey model. Data were collected by the "Attitude Scales Towards Teaching Profession" developed by Cetin (2006) and "Personal Information Form" developed by the authors. Data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA (the one-way analysis of variance) (F) and LSD (least significant difference) techniques. The results are given as follows: (1) The average of candidates' attitude grades are in favor of female candidates; (2) There is no difference between whether candidates work at a job; (3) According to variables of the types of high school graduated, educational level of the parents, occupations, income level and living place, there is no difference in candidates' attitudes scores; and (4) Candidates enrolled in the geography education non-thesis master's degree program reason of preference influence on attitudes to teaching profession. Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the knowledge level of healthcare personnel working in pre-hospital emergency care services in Konya province regarding the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the pandemic. Material and Methods: A total of 410 healthcare personnel working in pre-emergency care services in Konya province were included in the study. The data were collected through a questionnaire developed by the researcher inquiring about the demographic data, whether they caught (COVID-19) or not, knowledge about COVID-19, and knowledge and attitudes regarding the use of PPE. Results: The rate of individuals who experienced mild infection was 27.1%, and those who experienced severe disease were 5.6%. It was determined that 83.7% of the healthcare personnel were using PPE. The most commonly used PPE were gloves (90.8%), and the least were visors and eyeglasses (43.8%). When the frequency of the COVID-19 symptoms was analyzed according to age, the symptoms were more frequent in the age group of 40 years and above, and the symptom frequencies were seen to increase with age. Conclusion: It was concluded that the healthcare personnel had received in-service training about COVID-19 and had sufficient knowledge. Tailored Fiber Placement is an innovative manufacturing technique that precisely positions continuous fibers in critical areas of fiber preforms for optimal structural performance. This study focuses on producing glass fiber‐reinforced polyamide composites using TFP technology and compression molding to address the durability concerns of thermoplastic matrix composites in automotive parts. The production process involved a constant temperature of 300°C, 16 bar pressure, and holding times of 270, 300, and 330 s. Short‐term thermal aging cycles were applied to simulate automotive part acclimatization. Tensile and 3‐point bending tests were conducted to evaluate mechanical properties. Statistical analysis using response surface methodology provided insights into the relationship between production parameters and mechanical properties. Differential Scanning Calorimetry characterized the composite material, and macroscopic damage analysis was performed. Results showed a potential 10% decrease in tensile strength due to short‐term thermal aging. Aging had the most significant impact on elastic modulus and tensile strength according to the Pareto chart. Flexural modulus increased, while flexural strength decreased with thermal aging. Holding time had no effect on flexural modulus but reduced flexural strength. Today, the aim is to reduce the harm caused by vehicles to the environment in accordance with decisions made to address environmental pollution and the global climate crisis. To this end, in addition to design improvements, and technological advancements, materials that can reduce the weight of the vehicles and provide the desired mechanical properties, are being studied. Glass fiber‐polyamide composites offer a unique combination of properties that make them suitable for a wide range of applications in the automotive industry. This study focused on the production of GF‐PA6 composites using compression molding and Tailor Fiber Placement (TFP) technology. The production was carried out at a constant temperature of 300°C, and 16 bar pressure, with holding times of 270–300–330 s. Short‐term thermal aging cycles were also applied to evaluate the effects of environmental exposure on the GF‐PA6 composite material. The wear behavior of the composite was then assessed through sliding wear tests, which indicated that an increase in holding time improved the wear resistance, while the aging process had a negative impact. The experimental results were analyzed statistically using response surface methodology (RSM) and showed a statistically consistent response. It was found that aging had no significant effect on the coefficient of friction (COF), but significantly impacted the wear rate. The COF of composite samples decreased approximately 35% with increasing holding time. When the sliding distance increased from 150 to 300 m, the wear rate value decreased by 24% in non‐aged samples and by 35% in aged samples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Traumatic spinal cord injury (tSCI) is a highly devastating disease. In this study, we aimed to determine the neuroprotective effects of gelsolin (GSN) as an alternative treatment to methylprednisolone in an animal model of tSCI. Methods: In this study, adult healthy New Zealand rabbits (n=32) with an average body weight of 2-2.5 kg were utilized. The animals were distributed randomly into four groups (n=8): control, sham, methylprednisolone, and gelsolin groups. Blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples were collected on the 0th and 24th hours, and spinal cord samples were obtained on the 24th hour. Results: In between the 24th-hour results of methylprednisolone and control groups, a statistical significance in terms of CSF GEL (p=0.04), CSF IL-6 (p=0.01), blood CAS-3 (p=0.032), and blood IL-6 (p=0.008) levels was found. In between the 24th-hour results of gelsolin and control groups, in terms of CSF GEL (p=0.042) and CSF CAS-3 (p=0.010) levels, a statistical significance was also found. There was no significant difference between methylprednisolone and gelsolin groups in terms of CSF IL-6, CAS-3, and blood GEL, IL-6, and CAS-3 levels. Discussion and Conclusion: Given these data, future studies must investigate the physiological mechanisms of gelsolin treatment in traumatic SCI, which may involve higher doses of gelsolin. A. M. Mercer prove a new version of well-known Jensen inequality which is called Jensen-Mercer inequality [16]. By using Jensen-Mercer inequality, Kian andMoslehian establish a new variant of Hermite-Hadamard inequality which is called Hermite-Jensen-Mercer inequality [15]. In this paper, we extend the Hermite-Jensen-Mercer inequality for quantum integrals by utilizing Jensen-Mercer inequality. Then we investigate the connections between our results and those in earlier works. Moreover we give some examples to illustrate the main results in this paper. Pulmonary ossification is an uncommon, chronic, and progressive lung disease characterized by the presence of mature bone within the lung parenchyma. Diagnosis during life is rare; most cases are detected incidentally during autopsies. Chronic interstitial inflammation typically occurs in the lungs. This often leads to fibrosis in the parenchyma, though it can sometimes be idiopathic. Dendriform pulmonary ossification (DPO) can be classified as either idiopathic or secondary to an existing lung disease. Even though most patients are diagnosed through autopsy series, we present our case diagnosed using a videothoracoscopic wedge resection. A 49-year-old male patient, who has no chronic diseases and has never smoked, worked in aluminum casting for nine years, approxiately a decade ago. He visited the chest diseases clinic with complaints of increasing chest pain and shortness of breath over the past year. Physical examination revealed rales in the bilateral lung bases, but no clubbing. His oxygen saturation was 98%. Reticulonodular patterns were noted in all zones of both hemithoraces on a chest X-ray. The thorax Computed Tomography (CT) showed milimetric punctate calcific diffuse nodular and septal thickenings accompanied by pleuroparenchymal bands in both lungs. The patient, whose pulmonary function test was limited, was started on a therapeutic dose of 32 mg prednol. Gas exchange was reassessed with Diffusing Capacity of the Lung for Carbon Monoxide (DLCO) after two weeks. A diagnostic biportal videothoracoscopic wedge resection was performed on the patient. Due to the tough nature of the lung tissue, two staples broke during the operation. The patient was discharged on the second postoperative day with a pathology report confirming dendriform pulmonary ossification. The patient's outpatient follow-up is ongoing. DPO is most often diagnosed from surgical samples or during autopsies. It is a rare lung pathology characterized by the presence of mature bone tissue within the lung parenchyma. The disease frequently arises secondary to an underlying lung condition. Chronic inflammation is believed to play a role in its etiology. As seen in our patient's case, professions like aluminum casting can also cause chronic lung inflammation, potentially leading to DPO. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
