Sustainable construction materials are those which contributes towards the carbon- negative process of manufacturing. Cement produced by raw materials from industrial wastes and non-fossil fuel sources is considered as green cement which has high potential in constructions due to high tensile strength and resistance to corrosion. Exploring replacement materials for conventional cement is an active area of research. This data investigation focused on development of novel concrete mix with various proportions of sustainable supplementary materials with cement, fine and coarse aggregate substances. Alccofine, Metakaolin, GGBFS, Foundry sand, Copper slag, Recycled aggregate and Sintered fly ash aggregate are suitable supplementary materials of the concrete mix. Data projected replacement of cement by 15 % Alccofine, 10% Metakaolin and 30% GGBFS substitution and Fine aggregates (50% Copper slag, 30% Foundry sand) and replacement of Coarse aggregate (20% Recycled and 30% Sintered Fly Ash aggregate) will produce sustainable concrete mixture. Compressive and split tensile strength examined at 7th, 14th and 28th day and compared with conventional concrete. This data shows that the concrete mixture CFACA 1234567 was outperformed among the five mixture studied.

Younger women with advanced-stage cancers had a lower survival rate, but early detection enhanced survival chances by 27 to 47%. Breast self-examination (BSE) has led to early detection and higher rates of benign biopsies. Studies evaluating the psychosocial impact of BSE are few in India which has been attempted in the present study.Methods: The community-based descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among rural women aged 30 years and above, who have done BSE at least once without present or prior breast abnormalities in the field practice area of Model Rural Health Research Unit, Tirunelveli. The research questionnaire was developed based on the findings of focus group discussion (FGD) on the same objective in the study area.Results: Among 379 participants, 146 (38.5%) felt confident in their BSE knowledge, 28.2% (n=107) and 5.5% (n=21) of the respondents experienced anxiety and depression while practising BSE, respectively. There is a significant difference between the mean anxiety levels (p-value=0.002) and depression (p-value=0.013) of individuals who have detected anomalies during BSE and those who have not.Conclusion: Regular counselling has to improve knowledge about BSE, like the timing and method of examination, and decreases the anxiety and depression level.Keywords: breast cancer, self-examination, screening, Hamilton scales, rural women

This study focuses to develop a new hybrid Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) and assesses the performance of a new hybrid ECC based on the steel short random fiber reinforcement. This hybrid ECC aims to improve the tensile strength of cementitious material and enhance better flexural performance in an RC beam. In this study, four different mixes have been investigated. ECC with Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) fiber and PolyPropylene (PP) fiber of 2.0% volume fraction are the two Mono fiber mixes; ECC mix with PVA fiber of 0.65% volume fraction hybridized with steel fiber of 1.35% volume fraction, PP fiber of 0.65% volume fraction hybridized with steel of 1.35% volume fraction are the two additional different hybrid mixes. The material properties of mono fiber ECC with 2.0 % of PVA is kept as the reference mix in this study. The hybridization with fibers has a notable achievement on the uniaxial tensile strength, compressive strength, Young’s modulus, and flexural behavior in ECC layered RC beams. From the results, it has been observed that the mix with PVA fiber of 0.65% volume fraction hybrid with steel fiber of 1.35% volume fraction exhibit improvements in tensile strength, flexural strength, and energy absorption. The PP fiber of 0.65% volume fraction hybridized with steel of 1.35% volume fraction mix has reasonable flexural performance and notable achievement in displacement ductility over the reference mix.
