Bisphenol A (BPA) is an endocrine disruptor that leaches into food and is significantly employed in food and beverage storage, and source water cycles. To ensure an outstanding and sustainable biosphere while safeguarding human health and well-being, BPA detection is essential, necessitating an efficient detection methodology. Here, we describe an easy-to-use, inexpensive, and overly sensitive electrochemical detector that uses Fe-MOF nanotextures for identifying BPA in groundwater. This sensing electrode device combines the excellent guest interaction potential of organic ligands with the substantial surface area of metal. Using various analytical techniques including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), the structural and physicochemical behaviors of the as-synthesized material were evaluated. Electrochemical BPA detection was enabled by a diffusion-controlled oxidation procedure with a comparable number of both protons and electrons. With a 0.1 μM detection limit, the sensor displayed a linear sensitivity of around 0.1 μM and 15 μM. Additionally, the sensors demonstrated an outstanding recovery with actual water samples as well as a repeatable and steady performance over the course of a month exhibiting minimal interference from typical inorganic and organic species. Due to its notable sensitivity, inexpensive cost, robust selectivity, excellent repeatability, and reuse ability, the electroanalytical possibilities of the Fe-MOF-modified GCE suggest that the device can be implemented into real-world applications in its primed condition. A simple, efficient, and atom‐economical, one‐pot triple Michael Addition of activated alkenes to 2‐oxindole, 7‐aza‐2‐ indolone, and N‐methyl‐5‐bromo‐7‐aza‐2‐indolone has been developed. Significantly, multifunctionalities have also been achieved via one‐pot mixed Michael addition using the equimolar amount of two different activated alkenes. The reaction provided C‐3 and N‐functionalized carbon‐rich 7‐aza‐2‐oxindole derivatives. The scope of the reaction using diverse activated alkenes has been tested to provide the title compounds. The structure of the representative compounds has been established by the XRD method. Synthetic transformation of representative compounds is demonstrated to provide the respective 3‐spirooctane‐2‐oxindole derivatives in excellent yield. The combination of I2/CAN has emerged as a mild and powerful reagent for the oxidative Csp3‐Csp2 cleavage of 3,3′‐bis‐7‐azaindolylmethane to provide a quantitative combined yield of 3‐formyl and 3‐iodo‐7‐azaindole in a one‐pot reaction at RT. A plausible mechanism and characterization, including XRD, has been described. A facile and efficient synthesis of 3‐spiro cycloalkene fused 7‐aza‐2‐indalones from 3,3′‐di‐ or N,3,3′‐tri‐ allyl/homoallyl/pentenyl 7‐aza‐2‐indalones via ring‐closing metathesis (RCM) using Grubbs‐II catalyst has been achieved. The scope of the reaction has been demonstrated by synthesizing spiro products of various ring sizes (n=5, 7, and 18), utilizing 2‐indalone/7‐azaindalone and various alkenylation agents such as allyl/homoallyl/pentenyl bromides as substrates. In addition to usual RCM products, a cross metathesis (CM) product was observed when the substrate was N,3,3′‐triallylated derivative from 2‐indalone. Notably, a macrocyclic, 18‐membered bis‐spirodiene of N‐methyl‐7‐azaindalone was observed by means of intermolecular ring‐closing metathesis (RCM‐RCM). Also, Structures of a few representative spiro‐annulated products were evidenced with single crystal XRD analysis. Furthermore, a plausible mechanism for the products is discussed. A rapid and efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of 13,14-dimethyl-6,7-dihydrodibenzo[ b , j ][4,7]phenanthroline derivatives (3a-d) through the Friedländer condensation of 2-aminoarylketone with 1,4-cyclohexanedione under solvent-free conditions using p -toluenesulphonic acid. The synthetic utility of compounds 3a, 3b, and 3c was demonstrated by synthesizing compounds 6a-k via Suzuki coupling, 8 by Buchwald-Hartwig amination, and 9a-b via NBS bromination. Significantly, the emission band corresponding to the π-π* electronic transition of compounds 3a, 6a, 6d, 6f, and 8 showed a redshift with increasing polarity of the solvents. Chromones are the class of secondary metabolites that broadly occur in the plant kingdom in a noticeable quantity. This rigid bicyclic system has been categorized "as privileged scaffolds in compounds" in medicinal chemistry. Their wide biological responses have made them an important moiety in a drug discovery program. This review provides updates on the various methods of synthesis of chromones and biological applications in medicinal chemistry. Various synthetic strategies for the construction of chromones include readily available phenols, salicylic acid and its derivatives, ynones, chalcones, enaminones, and 2-hydroxyarylalkylketones as starting materials. Synthesis of chromones by using metal, metal-free, nanomaterials and different other catalysts is herein included.
