Abstract

A new method for the synthesis of thiocarbamates is developed. When dialkyl or diaryl disulfides are allowed to react with secondary amines and carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalytic amount of a palladium complex, the thiocarbamates are obtained in moderate to good yields.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on organoselenium compounds. The authors describe the method developed for the synthesis of these compounds, and report that phenyl tributylstannyl selenide reacts with aroyl or acyl chlorides in the presence of palladium complex in order to produce selenium-phenyl selenol esters.
