Search

We point out that the accidental $U(1)_{B-L}$ symmetry can arise from a finite modular symmetry $\Gamma_N$ in the type-I seesaw. The finite modular symmetry is spontaneously broken in such a way that the residual $\mathbb{Z}^T_N$ discrete symmetry, associated with the $T$-transformation which shifts the modulus $\tau \to \tau+ 1$, remains unbroken. This discrete $\mathbb{Z}^T_N$ symmetry mimics $U(1)_{B-L}$, and hence the majoron appears as a pseudo Nambu-Goldstone boson of $U(1)_{B-L}$. Without introducing additional interactions, the modulus $\tau$ can be stabilized by the Coleman-Weinberg (CW) potential given by the Majorana mass terms of the right-handed neutrinos. We study cosmological implications of the majoron, with particular interests in the dark matter and dark radiation, where the latter may alleviate the Hubble tension. We also find that the CW potential can have a wide range of nearly exponential shape which prevents $\tau$ from overshooting, and makes the amount of dark radiation not too large., Comment: 21 pages, 5 figures

We propose a simple setup which can stabilize a modulus field of the finite modular symmetry by the Coleman-Weinberg potential. Our scenario leads to a large hierarchy suppressing instanton-like corrections $e^{2\pi i\tau}$ and to a light axion identified as $\mathrm{Re} \tau$, where $\tau$ is the modulus field. This stabilization mechanism provides the axion solution to the strong CP problem. The potential has a minimum at a large $\mathrm{Im}\tau$ which suppresses explicit $U(1)_{\mathrm{PQ}}$ violation terms proportional to $e^{-2\pi {\mathrm{Im}\tau}}$, and hence the quality of the axion is ensured by the residual symmetry associated with the $T$-transformation, $\tau \to \tau +1$, around the fixed point $\tau \sim i\infty$., Comment: 10 pages, 2 figures; ver2 matched to published version

In this work we explore multiple search strategies for higgsinos and mixed higgsino-wino states in the MSSM and project the results onto the $(\mu,M_2)$ plane. Assuming associated production of higgsino-like pairs with a $W/Z$ boson, we develop a search in a channel characterized by a hadronically tagged vector boson accompanied by missing energy. We use as our template an ATLAS search for dark matter produced in association with a hadronically decaying vector boson, but upgrade the search by implementing a joint likelihood analysis, binning the missing transverse energy distribution, which greatly improves the search sensitivity. For higgsino-like states (more than 96% admixture) we find sensitivity to masses up to 550 GeV. For well-mixed higgsino-wino states (70-30% higgsino) we still find sensitivities above 300 GeV. Using this newly proposed search, we draw a phenomenological map of the wino-higgsino parameter space, recasting several complementary searches for disappearing tracks, soft leptons, trileptons, and hadronic diboson events in order to predict LHC coverage of the $(\mu,M_2)$ mass plane at integrated luminosities of up to $3\,\text{ab}^{-1}$. In this work, we obtain the current limits on the pair production of vectorlike leptons decaying to a Standard Model gauge boson and a lepton in the second generation using the Run-2 data at the LHC. Since there is no dedicated search, we recast the ATLAS analyses searching for the type-III seesaw heavy leptons in the multi-lepton channels. There is no limit for the $SU(2)_L$ singlet vectorlike lepton beyond about 100 GeV, while the limit is about 780 GeV for the doublet one. Thus, dedicated searches for the vectorlike leptons are necessary, especially for the singlet one. We propose a model realizes that a semi-visible dark photon which can contribute to the anomalous magnetic moment ($g-2$) of both electron and muon. In this model, the electron $g-2$ is deviated from the Standard Model (SM) prediction by the 1-loop diagrams involving the vector-like leptons, while that of muon is deviated due to a non-vanishing gauge kinetic mixing with photons. We also argue that the $W$-boson mass can be deviated from the SM prediction due to the vector-like lepton loops, so that the value obtained by the CDF II experiment can be explained. Thus, this model simultaneously explains the recent three anomalies in $g-2$ of electron and muon as well as the $W$-boson mass. The constraints on the $\mathcal{O}(1)~\mathrm{GeV}$ dark photon can be avoided because of the semi-invisible decay of the dark photon, $A^\prime \to 2 N \to 2\nu \,2\chi \to 2\nu \,4e$, where $N$ is a SM singlet vector-like neutrino and $\chi$ is a CP-even Higgs boson of the $U(1)^\prime$ gauge symmetry., Comment: 20 pages, 3 figures, 2 tables; ver2 matched to published version

We construct a model in which the hierarchies of the quark and lepton masses and mixing are explained by the $\Gamma_6^\prime$ modular flavor symmetry. The hierarchies are realized by the Froggatt-Nielsen-like mechanism due to the residual $Z^T_6$ symmetry, approximately unbroken at $\tau \sim i\infty.$ We argue that the $\Gamma_6^{(\prime)}$ symmetry is the minimal possibility to realize the up-type quark mass hierarchies, since the Yukawa matrix is symmetric. We find a combination of the representations and modular weights and then show numerical values of $\mathcal{O}(1)$ coefficients for the realistic fermion hierarchies., Comment: 18 pages

In this talk, given at Corfu 2022 Workshop on the Standard Model and Beyond, I present work in collaboration with Junichiro Kawamura,Ref.~[arXiv:2212.00840]. The talk is also based on a number of papers on a Global $SU(5)$ F-theory GUT in collaboration with Herb Clemens. In the model $SU(5)$ is broken to the MSSM via a Wilson line. This is accomplished (without problems with vector-like exotics) by simultaneously describing the F-theory model and its Heterotic dual. We propose models in which the hierarchical structures of the masses and mixing in both quark and lepton sectors are explained by the $S_4^\prime$ modular flavor symmetry near the fixed point $\tau \sim i\infty$. The model provides the first explicit example which explains hierarchies of both quarks and leptons. The hierarchies are realized by powers of $\epsilon = e^{2\pi i \tau/4} = \mathcal{O}(0.01)$ and $2\,\mathrm{Im}\,\tau \sim 5$, where $\tau$ being the modulus. The small parameter $\epsilon$ plays a role of flavon in the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism under the residual $Z_4^T$ symmetry, and powers of $2\,\mathrm{Im}\,\tau$ in the Yukawa couplings are controlled by modular weights via the canonical normalization. The doublet quarks are identified to a $S_4^\prime$ triplet to explain the hierarchical structure of the quark mixing angles, while the doublet leptons are composed of three singlets for the large mixing angles in the lepton sector. We show that the $S_4^\prime$ modular symmetry alone can explain the hierarchies in both quark and lepton sectors by $\mathcal{O}(1)$ coefficients., Comment: 15 pages, 3 tables

We propose models to explain the hierarchies of the quark masses and mixing by utilizing the $S_4^\prime$ modular flavor symmetry. The hierarchy is realized by the modulus $\tau$ stabilized at $\mathrm{Im}\,\tau \gg 1$, where the residual $Z_4^T$ symmetry is approximately unbroken and the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism works. It is found that the quark hierarchies are realized only in a few cases of quark representations. We study two models with assigning the modular weights, so that the observed quark hierarchies are explained in the cases of both small and large ratios of the top to bottom Yukawa couplings. We analyze the neutrino phenomenology in an $SU(5)$ F-theory model with both a visible sector and a twin hidden sector. At low energies, the strong and weak scales of the two sectors may differ but the spectrum of states is described by the MSSM (MSSM$^\prime$) in the visible (twin) sectors. What is special about the model is that there are right-handed neutrinos which couple to both sectors via Yukawa couplings. As a result, assuming 3 right-handed neutrinos with a large mass much greater than the weak scale, at tree-level the seesaw mechanism results in 3 massive Majorana neutrinos and 3 massless ones. The massless neutrinos acquire mass via radiative corrections. In our analysis, the massless neutrinos are predominantly active neutrinos, while the massive neutrinos are predominantly sterile neutrinos. We fit the active neutrino masses and mixing angles and discuss the phenomenology of the lightest sterile neutrino. We study the effects of vector-like leptons on the $W$ boson mass in a model with a vector-like $U(1)^\prime$ gauge symmetry. This model provides simultaneous explanations for the recent anomalies in the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the semi-leptonic decays of $B$ mesons. We found that the recent result of the $W$ boson mass precise measurement at CDF can be explained if the charged (neutral) vector-like lepton is lighter than 250 (80) GeV. The light vector-like leptons may not be excluded by collider experiments if these decay to a physical mode of the $U(1)^\prime$ breaking scalar field., Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures; ver2 matched to published version

We demonstrate the potential of fully leptonic cascade decays of a heavy neutral Higgs boson through vectorlike leptons as a simultaneous probe for extended Higgs sectors and extra matter particles at the LHC. The processes we explore are unique in that their event topologies lead to di-boson-like leptonic final states with a lepton pair which does not reconstruct the mass of a gauge boson. By recasting existing $2\ell + E_T^{\rm miss}$ and $3/4\ell$ searches channels using run2 data from the LHC we obtain $\textit{model independent}$ bounds on the masses of heavy scalars and vectorlike leptons and use these results to explore future prospects at the HL-LHC. Our results can be directly applied to any kind of new physics scenarios sharing the final states and the event topology. For concreteness, we apply our results to a benchmark scenario: a two Higgs doublet model type-II augmented with vectorlike leptons. Remarkably, even with current data the sensitivity of our analysis shows a reach for masses of a heavy neutral Higgs and vectorlike leptons up to 2 TeV and 1.5 TeV, respectively. Even for low $\tan\beta \gtrsim 1,$ the analysis retains sensitivity to heavy Higgs masses slightly above 1 TeV. The future sensitivities at the HL-LHC extend the reach for heavy Higgses and new leptons to 2.7 TeV and 2 TeV, respectively., Comment: 30 pages, 17 figures and 1 supplemental material

We study a lepton portal dark matter model, motivated by the deviation of the $W$ boson mass reported by the CDF collaboration. We introduce vector-like leptons and a scalar dark matter (DM) which exclusively couples to the extra leptons and muon. The one-loop corrections induced by the new particles can shift the $W$ boson mass. Besides, the discrepancy in the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the DM density can simultaneously be explained by this setup, if the vector-like lepton is lighter than 200 GeV and nearly degenerate with the DM particle. In extensions of two Higgs doublet models with vectorlike quarks and leptons the decays of new scalars or fermions can be altered by the presence of the other, depending on the hierarchy of new physics. If new fermions are heavier than Higgses, their decays may be dominated by cascade decays through charged and neutral heavy Higgs bosons. In the opposite hierarchy, the decay of a heavy Higgs can lead to single production of vectorlike quarks and leptons when Yukawa couplings to SM fermions are present. We explore the resulting novel collider signatures in either case and present projected sensitivities of future runs of the LHC to the masses and branching ratios of new fermions and heavy Higgses. Importantly, we discuss kinematic challenges of the signatures and suggest strategic observables which could be adopted in future analyses. Interpreting the prospective reach of the LHC in the context of a type-II 2HDM, we find that in the presence of vectorlike fermions heavy Higgs boson masses slightly above 2 TeV can be explored at the HL-LHC even at low $\tan\beta$. For heavy Higgs decays through vectorlike leptons, this reach extends to slightly above 3 TeV for $\tan\beta \gtrsim 10$. Further, these search strategies imply a reach for vectorlike quark and lepton masses close to 2.4 TeV and 1.5 TeV, respectively. This article is partly based on Refs. I introduce a model to explain the recent anomalies in the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the rare semi-leptonic $B$ meson decays. The Standard Model is extended by a $U(1)^\prime$ gauge symmetry and a complete fourth family fermions which are vector-like under the gauge symmetry. We found parameter points which can explain the anomalies consistently with the other observables. We study lepton flavor violating meson decays induced by box diagrams involving a vector leptoquark (LQ) and scalar fields in Pati-Salam (PS) unification with vector-like families. The vector LQ corresponds to the massive gauge boson associated with the PS gauge symmetry breaking and the scalar fields are the physical degrees of freedom of the PS breaking field. The LQ generally causes the rapid flavor violating decays, such as $K_L \to \mu e$, at the tree-level unless its mass scale is higher than PeV scale. The vector-like families are introduced to suppress the tree-level contributions mediated by the LQ and explain the realistic fermion mass matrices. In this paper, we point out that there are inevitable one-loop contributions to those meson decays from the box diagrams mediated by both one LQ and one scalar field, even if the tree-level contributions are suppressed. We consider a concrete model for demonstration, and find that the vector-like fermion masses have an upper bound for a given LQ mass when the one-loop induced meson decays are consistent with the experimental limits. The vector-like fermion mass should be lighter than 3 TeV for 20 TeV LQ, if a combination of the couplings does not suppress $K_L \to \mu e$ decay. We propose a new search strategy for higgsinos. Assuming associated production of higgsino-like pairs with a $W$ or $Z$ boson, we search in the missing energy plus hadronically-tagged vector boson channel. We place sensitivity limits for (HL-)LHC searches assuming $\mathcal{O}({1\mathrm{-}3.5}~\mathrm{GeV})$ mass differences between the lightest neutral and charged states. We point out that using the $E_T^\mathrm{miss}$ distribution significantly increases the sensitivity of this search. We find the higgsinos up to 110 (210) GeV can be excluded with $139~(300)~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ data. We study the lepto-axiogenesis scenario in the minimal supersymmetric KSVZ axion model. Only one Peccei-Quinn (PQ) field and vector-like fields are introduced besides the MSSM with the type-I see-saw mechanism. The PQ field is stabilized by the radiative correction induced by the Yukawa couplings with the vector-like fields introduced in the KSVZ model. We develop a way to follow the dynamics of the PQ field, in particular we found a semi-analytical solution which describes the rotational motion under the logarithmic potential with including the thermalization effect via the gluon scattering which preserves the PQ symmetry. Based on the solution, we studied the baryon asymmetry, the effective number of neutrino, and the dark matter density composed of the axion and the neutralino. We found that the baryon asymmetry is successfully explained when the mass of PQ field is $\mathcal{O}({10^6~\mathrm{GeV}})$ ($\mathcal{O}({10^5~\mathrm{GeV}})$) with the power of the PQ breaking term being $10$ ($8$)., Comment: 28 pages, 8 figures and 1 table.: v2 minor corrections and references added: v3 matched to published version, 2 appendices added

The new measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of muon at the Fermilab Muon $g-2$ experiment has strengthened the significance of the discrepancy between the standard model prediction and the experimental observation from the BNL measurement. If new physics responsible for the muon $g-2$ anomaly is supersymmetric, one should consider how to obtain light electroweakinos and sleptons in a systematic way. The gauge coupling unification allows a robust prediction of the gaugino masses, indicating that the electroweakinos can be much lighter than the gluino if anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking is sizable. As naturally leading to mixed modulus-anomaly mediation, the KKLT scenario is of particular interest and is found capable of explaining the muon $g-2$ anomaly in the parameter region where the lightest ordinary supersymmetric particle is a bino-like neutralino or slepton., Comment: 1+29 pages, 5 figures, 1 table; references added, matches published version

We propose a novel possibility to detect a very distinctive signal with more than four muons originating from pair-produced vector-like leptons decaying to a muon-philic $Z^\prime$ boson. These new particles are good candidates to explain the anomalies in the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the $b\to s\ell\ell$ processes. The doublet (singlet) vector-like leptons lighter than 1.3 (1.0) TeV are excluded by the latest data at the LHC if $\mathrm{BR}(E\to Z^\prime \mu) = 1$. We also show that the excess in the signal region with more than five leptons can be explained by this scenario if the vector-like lepton is a weak singlet, with mass about 400 GeV and $\mathrm{BR}(E\to Z^\prime \mu) = 0.25$. In this paper, we focus on the supersymmetric model with left-right (LR) symmetry, that is especially proposed in our previous work [1]. In this model, there are four Higgs doublets in order to realize the Standard Model (SM) fermion masses and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix. The heavy Higgs doublets unavoidably have flavor changing couplings to the SM fermions and induce flavor-changing neutral currents at tree level. We study broader parameter space than the previous work with including the renormalization group corrections to the Yukawa couplings between the LR breaking scale, $\mathcal{O}(10^{13})$ GeV, and the supersymmetry breaking scales, $\mathcal{O}(100)$ TeV. The CP violating observable in $K$-$\overline{K}$ mixing, $\epsilon_K$, strongly constrains the model, so that heavy Higgs mass should be heavier than $\mathcal{O}(100)$ TeV. We study the lepton flavor violating (LFV) processes setting heavy Higgs masses to be 170 TeV. The branching ratios of $\mu \to 3 e$ and the $\mu$-$e$ conversion can be larger than $10^{-16}$ that could be covered by the future experiments. In this paper, we show an explicit way to realize a TeV-scale vector leptoquark from the Pati-Salam (PS) unification with extra vectorlike families. The leptoquark mass is constrained to be heavier than PeV-scale by the measurement of a flavor violating kaon decay, $K_L \to \mu e$, in conventional models. This strong constraint can be avoided by introducing vectorlike families consistently with the quark and lepton masses and CKM and PMNS matrices. The other flavor violating processes are also suppressed. In this model, the vector leptoquark can be sufficiently light to explain the recent $b\to s\mu\mu$ anomaly, while the $b\to c\tau\nu$ anomaly is difficult to be explained due to the strong constraints from the $Z^\prime$ boson and vectorlike quark searches at the LHC. When the $b\to s\mu\mu$ anomaly is explained, we show that $\mathcal{O}({0.2})$ % tuning is required in the fermion matrix, the future experiments in $\mu\to e\gamma$ and $\mu$-$e$ conversions will cover the most available parameter space, and sizable neutral meson mixings, induced by the extra Higgs doublets, are unavoidable., Comment: 41 pages, 3 figures

In this paper we construct supersymmetric Pati-Salam (PS) models containing the minimal supersymmetric standard model and an invisible axion. The models include two discrete symmetries, $\mathbb{Z}_4^R \times \mathbb{Z}_N$, which maintain the $quality$ of the accidental Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry and thus the solution to the strong CP problem. We require that the discrete anomaly conditions are satisfied for both $\mathbb{Z}_4^R \times G_{\rm PS}^2$ and $ \mathbb{Z}_N \times G_{\rm PS}^2$. The vacuum expectation value of the PQ field spontaneously breaks all the discrete symmetries. R-parity is violated if any of the PQ field(s) has an odd charge under $\mathbb{Z}_4^R$. We present two explicit models which we refer to as a minimal model where R-parity violation is extremely suppressed, and a non-minimal model where R-parity violation is significant. In the latter model, the neutralino becomes unstable even if it is the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle (LSP), and, in addition, there are new low-energy vector-like states. In both examples, R-parity violation is sufficiently suppressed such that the proton is stable., Comment: 32 pages, 9 tables

We study bounds on a neutral component of weak doublet scalar lepton. A typical example of such particle is sneutrinos in supersymmetric models. Using constraints from invisible Higgs decays we place a lower bound of approximately $m_h/2$. We recast a mono-$W/Z$ search, with hadronic vector boson tag in order to bound parameter space in the sneutrino--charged slepton mass plane. We find a lower bound on sneutrinos in the range of 55-100 GeV in the 36 $\text{fb}^{-1}$ data set depending on the mass of charged component. We propose a sensitivity search in the hadronic mono-$W/Z$ channel for HL-LHC and discuss both the discovery potential in case an excess is seen and exclusion limit assuming no excess is seen., Comment: 21 pages, 9 figures

In this paper, we summarize phenomenology in lepton portal dark matter (DM) models, where DM couples to leptons and extra leptons/sleptons. There are several possible setups: complex/real scalar DM and Dirac/Majorana fermion DM. In addition, there are choices for the lepton chirality that couples to DM. We discuss the prediction of each model and compare it with the latest experimental constraints from the DM, the LHC, and the flavor experiments. In this paper we present an in-depth analysis of a recently proposed Standard Model extension with a complete fourth generation of quarks and leptons, which are vector-like with respect to the Standard Model gauge group and charged under a new spontaneously broken vector-like $\mathrm{U(1)^\prime}$ gauge symmetry. The model is designed to explain the known muon anomalies, i.e. the observed deviations from Standard Model predictions in the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, $\Delta a_\mu$, and in $b \rightarrow s \ell^+ \ell^-$ processes. We perform a global $\chi^2$ analysis of the data with $65$ model parameters and including $98$ observables. We find many points with $\chi^2$ per degree of freedom $\leq 1$. The vector-like leptons and the new heavy $Z^\prime$ are typically much lighter than a TeV and would, thus, be eminently visible at the HL-LHC., Comment: 80 pages, 9 figures and 21 tables

We propose a model that explains the fermion mass hierarchy by the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism with a discrete $Z_N^F$ symmetry. As a concrete model, we study a supersymmetric model with a single flavon coupled to the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model. Flavon develops a TeV scale vacuum expectation value for realizing flavor hierarchy, an appropriate $\mu$-term and the electroweak scale, hence the model has a low cutoff scale. We demonstrate how the flavon is successfully stabilized together with the Higgs bosons in the model. The discrete flavor symmetry $Z_N^F$ controls not only the Standard Model fermion masses, but also the Higgs potential and a mass of the Higgsino which is a good candidate for dark matter. The hierarchy in the Higgs-flavon sector is determined in order to make the model anomaly-free and realize a stable electroweak vacuum. We show that this model can explain the fermion mass hierarchy, realistic Higgs-flavon potential and thermally produced dark matter at the same time. We consider the Standard Model (SM) with the addition of a $\mathrm{U(1)^\prime}$ gauge symmetry and a complete fourth family of quarks and leptons which are vector-like with respect to the full $\mathrm{SU(3)_C}\times \mathrm{SU(2)_L} \times \mathrm{U(1)_Y}\times \mathrm{U(1)^\prime}$ gauge symmetry. The model provides a unified explanation of experimental anomalies in $(g - 2)_\mu$ as well as $b \rightarrow s \ell^+ \ell^-$ decays. We find good fits to the deviations from the SM, while at the same time fitting all other SM observables. The model includes a new $Z^\prime$ gauge boson, a $\mathrm{U(1)^\prime}$-breaking scalar, and vector-like leptons all with mass of order a few $100$ GeV. It is consistent with all currently released high energy experimental data, however, it appears imminently testable with well designed future searches. We extend the Standard Model (SM) with parity symmetry, motivated by the strong CP problem and dark matter. In our model, parity symmetry is conserved at high energy by introducing a mirror sector with the extra gauge symmetry, $ SU(2)_R \times U(1)_R$. The charges of $SU(2)_R \times U(1)_R$ are assigned to the mirror fields in the same way as in the SM, but the chiralities of the mirror fermions are opposite to respect the parity symmetry. The strong CP problem is resolved, since the mirror quarks are also charged under the $SU(3)_c$ in the SM. In the minimal setup, the mirror gauge symmetry leads to stable colored particles which would be inconsistent with the observed data, so that we introduce two scalars in order to deplete the stable colored particles. Interestingly, one of the scalars becomes stable because of the gauge symmetry and therefore can be a good dark matter candidate. We especially study the phenomenology relevant to the dark matter, i.e. thermal relic density, direct and indirect searches for the dark matter. The bounds from the LHC experiment and the Landau pole are also taken into account. As a result, we find that a limited region is viable: the mirror up quark mass is around [600\,GeV, 3\,TeV] and the relative mass difference between the dark matter and the mirror up quark or electron is about ${\cal O}$(1-10\,\%). The Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) provides a natural framework to realize a low-scale supersymmetric (SUSY) model, where a singlet superfield is added to the minimal model to generate a SUSY-scale higgsino mass term with its vacuum expectation value. Due to the presence of the extra singlet field, the vacuum conditions to realize the correct electroweak symmetry-breaking become fairly restrictive especially if we impose universality conditions at the unification scale. In this paper, we show that a non-universal gaugino mass spectrum can significantly relax this restriction even though the scalar masses and trilinear couplings are subject to universality conditions. With the gaugino non-universality, we find that higgsino can be the lightest SUSY particle and its thermal relic abundance can reproduce the observed dark matter density in a wide range of parameter space in which the 125~GeV Higgs-boson mass is obtained. This higgsino-like dark matter may be probed in direct detection experiments. We also find that there is an upper bound on the masses of supersymmetric particles in this scenario, and many model points predict colored particles such as gluino to be within the reach of a future 100~TeV collider. We discuss effective models derived from a supersymmetric model whose mediation mechanism of supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking is namely mirage mediation. In this model, light higgsino mass, that is required by the natural realization of the electroweak scale, is achieved by the unification of the soft SUSY breaking parameters at the low scale. Besides, we find that extra Higgs fields are also possibly light in some cases. Then, the effective model is a two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) with higgsinos, and it is distinguishable with namely type-II 2HDM which is widely discussed. In this paper, we study the mass spectrum of SUSY particles and the extra Higgs fields, and summarize the phenomenology in the effective model. We survey the current experimental bounds from the LHC and the dark matter experiments as well as the flavor physics. Then, we point out the expected mass scale of the SUSY particles and reveal the future prospects for the direct and indirect searches. Recently, the LHCb collaboration has reported the excesses in the $b \to s ll$ processes. One of the promising candidates for new physics to explain the anomalies is the extended Standard Model (SM) with vector-like quarks and leptons. In that model, Yukawa couplings between the extra fermions and SM fermions are introduced, adding extra scalars. Then, the box diagrams involving the extra fields achieve the $b \to s ll$ anomalies. It has been known that the excesses require the large Yukawa couplings of leptons, so that this kind of model can be tested by studying correlations with other observables. In this paper, we consider the extra scalar to be a dark matter (DM) candidate, and investigate DM physics as well as the flavor physics and the LHC physics. The DM relic density and the direct-detection cross section are also dominantly given by the Yukawa couplings, so that we find some explicit correlations between DM physics and the flavor physics. We study dark matter physics in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with non-universal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In this scenario, the specific ratio of wino and gluino masses realizes the electro-weak scale naturally and achieves 125 GeV Higgs boson mass. Then, relatively light higgsino is predicted and the lightest neutral particle, that is dominantly given by the neutral component of higgsino, is a good dark matter candidate. The direct detection of the dark matter is sensitive to not only a higgsino mass but also gaugino masses significantly. The upcoming XENON1T experiment excludes the parameter region where bino or gluino is lighter than about 2.5 TeV if the higgsino and the gaugino mass parameters have same signs. We see that the direct detection of dark matter gives stronger bound than the direct search at the LHC experiment when higgsino sizably contributes to the dark matter abundance, Comment: 21 pages, 5 figures, 1 table

In the scenario that a dark matter (DM) is a weakly interacting massive particle, there are many possibilities of the interactions with the Standard Model (SM) particles to achieve the relic density of DM. In this paper, we consider one simple DM model where the DM candidate is a complex scalar and interacts with the SM particles via exchange of the Higgs particle and an extra quark, named bottom partner. The extra quark carries the same quantum number as the right-handed down-type quarks and has Yukawa couplings with the DM candidate and the right-handed down-type quarks. The Yukawa interactions are not only relevant to the thermal relic density of the DM, but also contribute to the flavor physics, such as the $\Delta F=2$ processes. In addition, the flavor alignment of the Yukawa couplings is related to the decay modes of the extra quark. Then, we can find the explicit correlations among the physical observables in DM physics, flavor physics and the signals at the LHC. Based on the numerical analyses of the thermal relic density, the direct detection of the DM and the current LHC bounds using the latest results, we survey our predictions for the $\Delta F=2$ processes. We investigate the perturbative bound on the Yukawa coupling, as well. Recently, the ATLAS and CMS collaborations report excesses around $750$ GeV in the diphoton channels. This might be the evidence which reveals new physics beyond the Standard Model. In this paper, we consider models with a $750$ GeV scalar and vector-like particles, which couple each other through Yukawa couplings. The diphoton decay of the scalar is enhanced by the loop diagrams involving the extra colored particles. We investigate not only the setup required by the excesses, but also the LHC constraints, especially concerned with the vector-like particles. We consider the scenario that the extra colored particles decay to quarks and a dark matter (DM) via Yukawa couplings. Then, the signals from the vector-like particles are dijet, $b\overline{b}$ and/or $t\overline{t}$ with large missing energy. We discuss two possibilities for the setups: One is a model with vector-like fermions and a scalar DM, and the other is a model with vector-like scalars and a fermionic DM. We suggest the parameter region favored by the excess in the each case, and study the constraints based on the latest LHC results at $\sqrt{s}=8$ TeV and $13$ TeV. We conclude that the favored region is almost excluded by the LHC bounds, especially when the $750$ GeV scalar dominantly decays to DMs. The mass differences between the vector-like particles and the DM should be less than ${\cal O}(100)$ GeV (${\cal O}(10)$ GeV) to realize the large diphoton signal and the large decay width, if the extra colored particle only decays to a top (bottom) quark and a DM.
