Bu çalışmanın amacı, Küçük ve Orta Ölçekli İşletmelere (KOBİ) sağlanan krediler ile bankaya özgü değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. KOBİ'ler ticari, katılım ve yatırım ve kalkınma bankaları için çok önemli bir müşteri segmentidir.Çalışma, Türkiye'deki KOBİ'leri kapsamakta olup, Bankacılık Düzenleme ve Denetleme Kurumu’ndan veriler alınmış ve 2010-2021 yılları arasındaki dönem analiz edilmiştir.Analiz yöntemi olarak OLS kullanılmıştır. Veri yapısı zaman serisidir. Bu çalışmanın araştırma sorusu, bankaya özgü değişkenlerin (KOBİ’lere kullandırılan) nakit kredilerin toplam kredilere oranı üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisinin olup olmadığıdır. Toplam kredilerin aktiflere oranı, takipteki alacaklar oranı (TGA), aktif karlılığı (ROA), özkaynak karlılığı (ROE), finansal varlıkların mevduata oranı ve ayrıca yabancı varlıklar/özkaynaklar oranı, açıklayıcı değişkenler olarak kabul edilmektedir. Önde gelen makro-ekonomik, finansal değişkenler ise kontrol değişkenleri olarak kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, KOBİ-nakit kredi oranının bankaların toplam kredilerinin varlıklara oranındaki artıştan olumlu etkilendiğini göstermektedir; ve TGA oranındaki artış, yabancı kaynakların bankaların pasifleri içindeki ağırlığı ile negatif yönde değişmektedir. Çalışmada toplam kredilerin aktiflere oranı, takipteki alacakların ve borç yapısının, KOBİ'lere kullandırılan nakit krediler üzerinde önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır., The aim of this study is to review the relation between loans provided to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and bank-specific variables. SMEs are very important client segment for commercial, participation as well as investment and development banks. The study covers SMEs in Turkey, data is received from Banking Regulatory and Supervisory Agency and quarterly period between 2010 and 2021 is analyzed.OLS is employed as method of analysis. Data structure is time-series. Whether bank-specific variables have statistically impact on the ratio of SME-cash-loans over total loans is the research question of this paper. Total loans over assets, non-performing-loans ratio (NPL), return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), the ratio of financial assets over deposits and also the ratio of foreign assets/equity are considered as explanatory variables; and leading economic-financial variables are used as control variables. Findings indicate that the ratio of SME-cash-loans are positively influenced by increase in the banks’ ratio of total loans over assets; and negatively by the increase in NPL ratio, by the weight of foreign sources in liabilities of banks. The paper concludes that total loans over assets, NPL and liability structure have significant impact on SMEs-cash loans.

The aim of this paper is to analyze whether information ratio (IR) is a good indicator for peer group performance (returns) of private pension funds, which are collective investment institutions. We employ annual data of IR and Peer Group Returns for the period between 2018 and 2021 for 12 standard funds that are the most significant part of private pension fund market with respect to total asset under management and also regulations. This study covers only standard pension funds in Voluntary Participation System (IPS-Individual Pension System). Findings indicate that for the years 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021, there is no significant relation between ‘Peer-Group Return Ranking’ and ‘Information Ratio Value Rankings’ for IPS-Standard Funds. The paper suggests that although IR is a pivotal performance indicator, this ratio should not be considered as the single criterion -especially while reporting the performance of the pension funds-., Bu çalışmanın amacı, bilgi rasyosunun kolektif yatırım kuruluşlarından birisi olan bireysel emeklilik fonlarının emsal-grup performansı (getiri) için iyi bir gösterge olup olmadığını analiz etmektir. Bireysel emeklilik fonu piyasasının toplam aktifleri ve mevzuat açısından en önemli parçası olan 12 standart fon için, 2018-2021 dönemi yıllık Bilgi Rasyosu ve Emsal Grup Getiri verilerini kullanıyoruz. Bu çalışma sadece Gönüllü Katılım Sistemi'ndeki (BES-Bireysel Emeklilik Sistemi) standart emeklilik fonlarını kapsamaktadır. Nicel analizin bulguları şu şekildedir; Gönüllü BES-Standart Fonları kapsamında, 2018, 2019, 2020 ve 2021 yılları için, emsal grup getiri sıralaması (yani fon performansı) ile Bilgi Rasyosu sıralaması arasında önemli bir ilişki yoktur. Bu çalışma, bilgi rasyosunun temel bir performans göstergesi olmasına rağmen, bu oranın -özellikle emeklilik fonlarının performansı raporlanırken- tek kriter olarak değerlendirilmemesi gerektiğini öne sürmektedir.

This paper evaluates real estate investment trust (REIT) market and reviews the financial determinants of real estate investment trusts index. To this end, the study finds an answer to the research question of whether REIT index (XGMYO) is significantly affected by inflation, USD/TL parity and interest rates. Data is retrieved from Borsa-Istanbul and Central Bank of Turkey and covers the period from 2011 and 2021 (monthly data). Findings of the quantitative analysis are as follows; XGMYO has two regimes. Deposit (Index Return) with different lags is the most effective variable in both regimes. While CPI-Inflation is statistically significant in Regime 2, it is not significant in Regime 1. Similar to inflation, housing-loans-interest rate (applicable to clients) statistically has impact on XGMYO in Regime 2, but it has no statistically significant impact on Regime 1., Bu makale, gayrimenkul yatırım ortaklığı (GYO) piyasasını değerlendirmekte ve gayrimenkul yatırım ortaklıkları endeksinin finansal belirleyicilerini incelemektedir. Bu amaçla, çalışma GYO endeksinin (XGMYO) enflasyon, USD/TL paritesi ve faiz oranlarından önemli ölçüde etkilenip etkilenmediği araştırma sorusuna cevap bulmaktadır. Veriler Borsa-İstanbul ve Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası'ndan alınmıştır ve 2011 ve 2021 (aylık veriler) dönemini kapsamaktadır. Nicel analizin bulguları aşağıdaki gibidir; XGMYO'nun iki rejimi vardır. Farklı gecikmelere sahip mevduat (Endeks Getirisi) her iki rejimde de en etkili değişkendir. Rejim 2'de TÜFE-Enflasyon istatistiksel olarak anlamlı iken, Rejim 1'de anlamlı değildir. Enflasyona benzer şekilde, konut-kredi-faiz oranı (müşteriler için geçerli) istatistiksel olarak Rejim 2'de XGMYO üzerinde etkilidir, ancak Rejim-1 üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisi yoktur.

The purpose of this study is to review emerging capital market institutions that are considered as ‘collective investment undertakings’ under Turkish Capital Market Law: Mutual funds, pension funds, real estate investment funds and venture capital investment funds. In this paper, data is retrieved from official website of Capital Market Board. With ‘VAR’ and ‘Johansen Co-Integration analysis’ and with ‘Vector-Error-Correction Model’, the impact of FX rates on net asset values of pension funds are examined for the period between 2015-2021 in Turkey. Findings indicate that in the long run, there is a co-integration relation between FX rates and net asset values. It is argued that net asset values of both pension funds and mutual funds have increased steadily in Turkey despite economic turbulances, an emerging economy. This study concludes that portion of funds as collective investment undertakings in financial industry will incline further with new products and legislation., Çalışmanın amacı, kolektif yatırım kuruluşları kapsamında yer alan yatırım fonları, emeklilik fonları, gayrimenkul yatırım fonları ve girişim sermayesi yatırım fonlarını karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemektir. Çalışmanın veri kaynağı Sermaye Piyasası Kurulu web sitesinde yer alan istatistik bilgileridir. Türkiye ile ilgili olarak, 2015-2021 yılları arası veriler kullanılarak, VAR ve ‘Johansen Co-Integration’ analizi ve ‘Vector-Error Correction Model’ ile döviz kurlarının (USD/TL ve EUR/TL) emeklilik yatırım fonlarının ve yatırım fonlarının toplam değeri üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Bulgular şuna işaret etmektedir; uzun vadede, hem USD/TL hem EUR/TL kurları ile emeklilik yatırım fonları toplam büyüklüğü arasında eşbütünleşme ilişkisi mevcuttur, EUR/TL ile emeklilik fonları varlık büyüklükleri arasındaki ilişki negatif yönlü iken, USD/TL ile pozitif ilişki vardır. Çalışmanın argümanı şudur, Türkiye’de yatırım fonları ve emeklilik yatırım fonları varlık büyüklükleri istikrarlı artış göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, ileri dönemde, kolektif yatırım kuruluşlarının toplam finansal sektör içerisindeki payının artması beklenmektedir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren kamu ve özel sermayeli mevduat bankalarının davranış farklılıklarının, küresel finans krizi sonrasında kriz öncesine kıyasla değişim gösterip göstermediğini tespit etmektir. Çalışma, 2005-2015 yıllarını kapsamaktadır, davranış farklarının tespiti için çeyrek dönem banka finansal verileri kullanılmıştır. Aktif büyüklük açısından (söz konusu 11 yıl içerisinde çeyrek dönemler bazında ilk 10 sırada yer alan ve 2015 sonu itibarıyla faal olan) toplam 12 mevduat bankası (3 kamu ve 9 özel sermayeli) çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Banka davranışları olarak; kredi verme, likidite, sermaye ve risk-alma davranışları incelenmiştir. Küresel finansal kriz, banka mülkiyeti, bankaya özgü değişkenler, makroekonomik-finansal değişkenler ve mevzuat değişikliği, banka davranışlarına etki eden etkenler olarak belirlenmiştir. Kuruluş amacı ve misyonu dikkate alındığında, özel bankalara nazaran küresel finans krizi sonrasında kamu bankalarının davranışlarının değişim göstermesi ve kamu bankalarının daha fazla kredi plase etmesi beklenmektedir. Elde edilen sonuçlar, Türkiye'de kamu ve özel sermayeli mevduat bankalarının davranış farklarının, küresel finansal kriz sonrasında kriz öncesine kıyasla, anlamlı derecede değişim gösterdiğine işaret etmektedir. Kamu bankaları, küresel finansal krizin ekonomi üzerinde etkilerinin görülmeye başladığı dönemden itibaren -krizin etkilerini bertaraf edebilmek için- kredi plasmanında özel bankalara nazaran daha aktif rol üstlenmeye başlamışlardır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Banka Davranışları, Özel ve Kamu Mevduat Bankaları, Küresel Finans Krizi The aim of this study is to find out whether there is a difference in difference between public and private deposit banks' behaviour in Turkey after the 2008 global financial crisis. The period of the study covers the years 2005-2015, quarterly financials of the banks are used in the study in which the difference in difference (DiD) analysis is utilized to determine public-private deposit bank behaviour difference in the face of the crisis. For the examination period of 11 years, 12 deposit banks that are found to have been in the top ten deposit bank list and that are operational as of the end of 2015 are taken into account. Banking behaviours are considered to be lending, holding liquidity & securities, capital and risk taking. Determinants of the said behaviours are specified as the global financial crisis, bank-ownership variable, bank-specific variables, macroeconomic & financial variables and finally legislation variable. Considering the very nature of public deposit banks in Turkey, it is expected that they lended more in comparison to private ones in order to eliminate the negative effects of the crisis. In the light of findings based on the econometric analysis, this study argues that after the global financial crisis there exists a change in differences between the behaviour of public deposit banks and that of private ones in Turkey with regard to lending (loan supply), holding liquidity & securities, capital and risk taking. In this article, we reported a case of colpocephaly and corpus callosum agenesis with no symptoms that diagnosed incidentally.

sinir üzerine etkisinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Katılımcılar akıllı telefon kullanımı fazla olanlar (Akıllı telefon bağımllık ölçeği (SAS) skoru 71 üzerinde olanlar), az kullanımı olanlar (71'nin altındakiler) ve klasik cep telefonu kullananlar olarak 3 gruba ayrılarak değerlendirildi. Katılımcıların görsel analog skala (VAS), kol, omuz ve elin hızlı yetersizlikleri (qDASH) değerleri ve median sinir iletileri değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Akıllı telefonu az kullanan grupta diğer 2 gruba göre anlamlı derecede median sinir latanslarının daha kısa ve hızlarının yüksek olduğu gözlendi. Ancak, akıllı telefonu fazla kullananlar ile klasik cep telefonu kullananlar arasında median sinir iletileri açısından anlamlı fark gözlenmedi. VAS ve qDASH değerlerinde gruplar arasında anlamlı fark gözlenmedi.Sonuç: Aşırı akıllı telefon kullanımı karpal tünel sendromu ve buna bağlı median sinirin etkilenmesine neden olabilir. Akıllı telefonların yaygınlaştığı hatta bağımlılık düzeyinde kullanımının olduğu günümüzde telefon tasarımlarında bu durumlar akılda tutulmalı belki de sesli komut uygulamalarında daha çok yer verilmelidir. Ayrıca akıllı telefon bağımlılığı olan hastalarda median sinir iletilerinin elektrofizyolojik olarak takip edilmesi faydalı olabilir., Purpose: The aim of this study was to examine the effects of smartphone use on the median nerve. Materials and Methods: Participants were classified into three groups according to their smartphone use frequencies; high smartphone users (with Smartphone addiction scale (SAS) score of higher than 71), low smartphone users (SAS score less than 71) and classical type mobile phones users. The Visual analogue scale (VAS), quick-disabilities of arm, shoulder, hand (qDASH) and median nerve conductions of the participants were assessed. Groups were compared to each other as well as dominant and non-dominant hand nerve measurements of participants were also compared. Results: VAS and qDASH values were not significantly different between groups. It was observed that the rare use of smartphones affected the median nerve conductions in a lesser manner compared to the classical mobile phone use. However, using smart phone in an increasing rate influenced the median nerves adversely. Conclusion: Excessive use of smartphone can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome via affecting the median nerve. In recent decades, there has been a widespread use of smartphones even at the level of addiction. This should be noted while designing the smartphones and voice applications should be used more often. Furthermore, it can be beneficial to follow up the median nerve conductions of patients who are addicted to smartphones with the help of electrophysiological studies

Amaç: Çalışmamızda öncelikle gebelik başlangıçlı panik bozukluğun insidans oranının saptanması amaçlanmış olup, ilave olarak bağımsız sosyo-demografik ve klinik risk faktörlerinin panik bozuklukla ilişkisinin olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Yöntem: Örneklem araştırma merkezi olan 2 obstetri polikliniğine ard arda gelen 1475 gebeden oluşmuş olup, bu 1475 gebeden gebelik baş- langıçlı panik bozukluk saptananlar (Grup 1, n20, %1,3) 1. grubu oluş- turmuştur. Kontrol grubu ise gebelik başlangıçlı depresyon ya da herhangi bir anksiyete bozukluğu olmayan 250 gebeden (Grup 2) oluşturulmuştur. Eksen I ve II tanıları yapılandırılmış klinik görüşme ölçekleri (Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV SCID ve Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-III-R Personality Disorders SCID II) kullanılarak saptanmıştır. Bulgular: Panik bozukluk için insidans %1,3 (n20) saptanmış olup, bu 20 kişiden 11'nin ilave anksiyete ya da duygudurum bozukluğuna sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Herhangi bir c kümesi kişilik bozukluğuna sahip olma oranı grup 1'de kontrollere göre anlamlı ölçüde yüksek saptanmıştır. Sonuç: Gebelik başlangıçlı panik bozukluğa sahip gebelerin kontrollere göre anlamlı derecede yüksek eksen II kişilik bozukluklarına ve gebelik öncesi anksiyete ve duygudurum bozukluklarına sahip olduğu anlaşılmıştır, Introduction: The present study aimed to investigate the incidence rate of pregnancy-onset panic disorder (POPD) among Turkish pregnant women using a diagnostic interview. Additionally, we examined whether the independent socio-demographic or clinical risk factors were associated with the risk of panic disorder in these women.Methods: The study sample comprised 1475 consecutive pregnant women who presented to the obstetric outpatient clinics of two research centers. The rate of POPD in these participants was 1.3% (Group 1, n20). The 20 women with POPD were compared with 250 pregnant women without pregnancy-onset depression or anxiety (Group 2; controls). Panic disorder and other anxiety or mood disorders were determined by means of the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV. Comorbid Axis II disorders were diagnosed with the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-III-R Personality Disorders. Results: The incidence rate of panic disorder was 1.3% (n20). In group 1, 55% (n11) of the women with POPD had an additional mood or anxiety disorder. In addition, the prevalence rate of any cluster C personality disorder, including avoidant, passive-aggressive and obsessivecompulsive personality disorders, were significantly greater in the group 1 women with POPD than the control pregnant women without a panic disorder (group 2). Conclusion: The women with POPD were more likely than the controls to have a cluster C Axis II disorder and a history of a pre-existing anxiety or mood disorder.

The Turkish Banking Sector has experienced an important transformation since 2000 in terms of structure ownership organization and legislation. This paper examines the Turkish Banking Sector after 2000. More than twenty studies were reviewed and examined in order to have a better understanding of the main developments changes and transformations in the sector after 2000. After examining studies about the subject the findings are summarized in this paper. It is observed that there is a consensus about how the sector has been enhanced and strengthened considerably by the restructuring applications. However the rising consumer loans provided by the sector have the potential to cause the whole economy to be vulnerable to crises despite the sector's strong current position in the face of global crisis. In order to provide the best outlook of this period a SWOT analysis is utilized in this study. © EuroJournals Publishing Inc. 2012.
