Introduction: Telepractice is recognised as an effective and efficient medium of service delivery; however, despite this evidence, implementation has been inconsistent. Clinician confidence and perceptions are integral factors to the successful implementation of telepractice in routine care. This study aimed to develop, implement and evaluate a telepractice training package for clinicians in a single hospital service. Methods: Forty-one clinicians from Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and Chronic Disease departments participated in a training package with a specific focus on staff skills training, access to resources and embedding telepractice models of care into organisational culture. Questionnaires were used to evaluate clinician self-reported skills and confidence at baseline, post-training and 6-months post-training. Thematic analysis of open-ended questions was used to glean a deeper understanding of perceived barriers and facilitators to using telepractice. Results: Participants’ perceived knowledge and confidence significantly increased from baseline to immediately post-training ( p < .001) and increased further to 6-months post-training ( p < .001). Thematic analysis revealed three main enabling themes: (a) perceived benefits to patient care; (b) training and practice; and (c) resources and support; and four main barriers: (a) staff knowledge and training; (b) staff confidence; (c) client factors; and (d) infrastructure and resources. Conclusion: The telepractice training package improved staff skills and confidence which was sustained over time. Facilitating the uptake of telepractice is multidimensional and it is integral to address all relevant factors to ensure its success.

HFES oversees a variety of ergonomics and human factors standards activities including standards developed within HFES (e.g. HFES 100) and standards work outside of HFES such as ANSI and ISO. This session is intended to update HFES members on the standards work that HFES is involved. This year the emphasis will be on specific new standards work on topical areas. A new ISO Technical Report on human factors in robotic, intelligent and autonomous systems (RIA) will be introduced along with the work of the HFES liaison to the US Department of Defense HF/E TAG. There will be an update on the new work of the ASTM 48.02 on exoskeletons and exosuits. The work on the revised ANSI/HFES 100 Human Factors Engineering of Computer Workstations, which is nearing completion, will be discussed. An update on the ACGIH work on ergonomics standards will be reviewed.

The accelerated drive toward 0.5 and 0.3 urn optical imaging is putting severe pressure on both the equipment and photoresist vendors. Materials must give both high resolution and high process latitude. These needs led to the develop- ment of EL2015 positive photoresist series. This is a high contrast, high resolution photoresist series based on the same chemical concepts used in our PR1O24MB resists. This new resist contains a 2,1,5-naphthoquirionediazidesulfonate ester of a special novolac as its photoactive component. This is combined with an improved novolac resin for better film integrity. EL2015 is a versatile positive resist optimized for g-, h-, i-line, and broadband exposure tools. Resolution of better than 0.50 urn has been routinely obtained with current 0.40 NA i-line steppers and 0.40 urn resolution at best focus. A focus latitude of greater than 1.5 urn for 0.5 urn images with an exposure latitude of 30-50% has been demonstrated on i-line equipment. Finally, the thermal stability and plasma etch resistance of EL2015 has been found to be comparable to current high resolution g-line photoresists.

This paper studies e effects of process conditions and dye additives on sidewall profiles using RS—1 designed experiments. We have explored the mechanism of forming negative sidewall profiles (above 90) in a positive photoresist, the dependence of depth of focus (DOF) and exposure latitude upon sidewall angle The resist studied is a positive, dual purpose (g—, i—line) resist, ULTRAMAC EL2015. The study presented in this paper was done in i—line but similar phenomena were observed in g—line as well. The effect of two different actirtic dyes in various concentrations on wall angle control is demonstrated. The two dyes investigated are both soluble in resist solvent but their solubility in developer is very different and their effect on required exposure energy is different. The contribution of the dyes to the absorption of the resist, their effect on swing curve and surface inhibition is evaluated and compared. The surface inhibition effect of undyed resist has been determined to be the most critical parameter influencing profiles, as increased post exposure bake temperature increases sidewall profile angle.

Objective To examine associations between health risk behaviors and sexual experience with opposite-, same-, or both-sex partners in representative samples of high school students. Design We used 1995 and 1997 data from the Vermont and Massachusetts Youth Risk Behavior Surveys. Logistic regression and multiple regression analyses were used to compare health risk behaviors among students who reported sex with opposite-sex partners only (opposite-sex students), with same-sex partners only (same-sex students), and with both male and female sexual partners (both-sex students). Setting Public high schools in Vermont and Massachusetts. Participants Representative, population-based samples of high school students. The combined samples had 14 623 Vermont students and 8141 Massachusetts students. Main Outcome Measure Violence, harassment, suicidal behavior, alcohol and other drug use, and unhealthy weight control practices. Results In both states, both-sex students were significantly more likely to report health risk behaviors than were opposite-sex students. For example, both-sex students had odds 3 to 6 times greater than opposite-sex students of being threatened or injured with a weapon at school, making a suicide attempt requiring medical attention, using cocaine, or vomiting or using laxatives to control their weight. In both states, same-sex students were as likely as opposite-sex students to report most health risk behaviors. Conclusion Relative to opposite- and same-sex students, both-sex students may be at elevated risk of injury, disease, and death by experiencing serious harassment and engaging in violence, suicidal behavior, alcohol and other drug use, and unhealthy weight control practices.
