Technological innovation and engineering to increase the growth of the shallot plant, which is a leading commodity, is needed to maintain price stability. The climate, especially drought, strongly influences the increase in the growth of shallots. In this study, an engineering microclimate was made so that these environmental factors could be conditioned. This technological innovation made with an internet-based automatic control system is one of the applied technological innovations in agriculture that can be realized to create a microclimate inside. Planting media with a control system that is applied in the test room is able to monitor parameters in real-time and control environmental factors which affect plant growth as needed. Thus, being able to support plant growth through the practice of microclimate conditioning in accordance with the needs of a plant, especially shallots. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
