Abstract

This study examines the influence of gender, age, education, living area and marital status as socio-demographic indicators and financial literacy toward investment decisions. The research was conducted in South Sulawesi, Indonesia with 167 respondents. The sample used was purposive sampling, with the specific criteria for the level of Indonesian wealth. Quantitative methods and a problem-solving approach were used. We found that gender has a negative and significant effect, education, living area, and marital status positively and significantly affect investment decisions. Women tend to prefer low-risk investments compared to men largely attributed to lower levels of financial literacy among women. In terms of education, investors with higher levels of education are more likely to make more informed investment decisions as they demonstrate improved risk management skills and a higher level of financial literacy. The living area also influences their investment decisions, with urban investors having easier access to information and knowledge about investments. Marital status also affects investment decisions, as married investors often prioritize the responsibility of their investments. However, age have a negative and not significant on investment decisions. This can be explained by the higher number of younger people becoming involved in investment decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the human resources managment within the government which requires a reliable and competent leadership. A leadership categorized as the concept of empowering when the leader shares direction, a support system, friendly, synergizing, and providing exemplary examples to his subordinates. Employees who feel empowered by the leader would increase their motivation in work. This would increase psychological side of the employee’s cognitions such as a meaningfulness, the competence, a self-determination, and the effect. This research is focused on the process of testing hypotheses and is aimed to examine the effect of empowering leadership’s motivation in the field of work. It is mediated by psychological empowerment. The data used in this study was a questionnaire. This study was used four-stage hypothesis test of Baron and Kenny (1986). The result indicates that empowering leadership has a positive effect on intrinsic motivation , and psychological empowerment partially mediates the positive effect of empowering leadership in supporting intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini membahas tentang efektivitas sosialisasi pembuatan portofolio saham pada generasi muda sebagai upaya untuk mempersiapkan masa depan finansial mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dampak dari program sosialisasi investasi saham terhadap pemahaman, partisipasi aktif dalam pasar modal, dan pengembangan keterampilan keuangan generasi muda. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa sosialisasi investasi saham efektif meningkatkan pemahaman generasi muda tentang risiko dan potensi keuntungan dalam investasi saham. Selain itu, program ini juga mendorong partisipasi aktif mereka dalam pasar modal serta mengembangkan keterampilan keuangan yang diperlukan untuk mengelola portofolio investasi secara efisien. Kesimpulannya, integrasi pendidikan investasi saham dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal, pengembangan program mentorship, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital merupakan langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan literasi keuangan generasi muda. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah untuk lebih mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor penghambat dan memperluas cakupan program sosialisasi investasi saham di berbagai komunitas.

4. How work discipline and leadership influence employees’ performance?

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work discipline and leadership style on employee performance at hotels in Texas. The analysis used in this study using multiple regression analysis. The population in this study were all employees at the hotels. Sampling in this study was carried out using a sampling technique, namely saturated sampling, so the number of samples was 300 employees who were recruited as samples in the study. The results of the study after the data were processed with SPSS.21 with the analytical method used in this study, namely multiple linear regression analysis, Ftest, Ttest, and coefficient of determination (R2). Based on the results of the study it was found that there was a positive and significant effect of work discipline and leadership style variables on employee performance at the hotels simultaneously. This is evidenced by the value of Fcount which is greater than the value of Ftable (29.288 > 3.32) and the probability value which is smaller than (0.000 < 0.05). While partially there is a positive and significant effect of work discipline on employee performance and leadership style has a negative and significant effect on employee performance at the hotels in Texas. Where the tcount value is greater than the ttable value (1,703). The work discipline variable has a tcount value of 5.799 (p = 0.000) and the leadership style variable has a tcount value of -5.035 (p = 0.000). The variable that has the most dominant influence on employee performance at the hotels in Texas is the work discipline variable with the largest tcount value (5.799).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kinerja keuangan pada PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk Periode 2016-2020 dengan menggunakan rasio likuiditas, solvabilitas, dan profitabilitas. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan laporan keuangan tahunan (annual report) dengan sampel berupa laporan neraca dan laporan laba rugi PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk, selama lima tahun terakhir (2016-2020). Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pada tahun 2016-2020 kinerja keuangan PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk dengan perhitungan rasio likuiditas (Quick Ratio) dikategorikan kurang sehat, (Loan to Assets Ratio) dikategorikan sehat, (Loan to Deposit Ratio, dan Cash Ratio) dikategorikan dalam keadaan cukup sehat. Perhitungan rasio solvabilitas (Debt to Assets Ratio dan Debt to Equity Ratio) dikategorikan tidak sehat. Perhitungan rasio profitabilitas (Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, dan Return on Equity) dikategorikan cukup sehat dan untuk BOPO PT. State Savings Bank (Persero) Tbk Period 2016-2020 by using the ratio of liquidity, solvency, and profitability. The population in this study is the entire annual financial report (annual report) with samples in the form of a balance sheet and income statement PT. State Savings Bank (Persero) Tbk, for the last five years (2016-2020). The data collection technique was carried out with documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that in 2016-2020 the financial performance of PT. The State Savings Bank (Persero) Tbk with the calculation of the liquidity ratio (Quick Ratio) is categorized as unhealthy, (Loan to Assets Ratio) is categorized as healthy, (Loan to Deposit Ratio, and Cash Ratio) is categorized in quite healthy condition. The calculation of the solvency ratio (Debt to Assets Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio) is categorized as unhealthy. The calculation of profitability ratios (Net Profit Margin, Return on Assets, and Return on Equity) is categorized as quite healthy and for BOPO PT.
