Abstract

Abstract Cloud computing is a new paradigm in this new cyber era. Nowadays, most organizations are showing more reliability in this environment. The increasing reliability of the Cloud also makes it vulnerable. As vulnerability increases, there will be a greater need for privacy in terms of data, and utilizing secure services is highly recommended. So, data on the Cloud must have some privacy mechanisms to ensure personal and organizational privacy. So, for this, we must have an authentic way to increase the trust and reliability of the organization and individuals The authors have tried to create a way to rank things that uses the Analytical Hieratical Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Based on the result and comparison, produce some hidden advantages named cost, benefit, risk and opportunity-based outcomes of the result. In this paper, we are developing a cloud data privacy model; for this, we have done an intensive literature review by including Privacy factors such as Access Control, Authentication, Authorization, Trustworthiness, Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. Based on that review, we have chosen a few parameters that affect cloud data privacy in all the phases of the data life cycle. Most of the already available methods must be revised per the industry’s current trends. Here, we will use Analytical Hieratical Process and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to the Ideal Solution method to prove that our claim is better than other cloud data privacy models. In this paper, the author has selected the weights of the individual cloud data privacy criteria and further calculated the rank of individual data privacy criteria using the AHP method and subsequently utilized the final weights as input of the TOPSIS method to rank the cloud data privacy criteria.

Abstract

Abstract Energy theft is a significant problem that needs to be addressed for effective energy management in smart cities. Smart meters are highly utilized in smart cities that help in monitoring the energy utilization level and provide information to the users. However, it is not able to detect energy theft or over-usage. Therefore, we have proposed a multi-objective diagnosing structure named an Energy Theft Prevention System (ETPS) to detect energy theft. The proposed system utilizes a combination of machine learning techniques Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO), Deep Recurrent Convolutional Neural Network (DDRCNN), and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The statistical validation has been performed using the simple moving average (SMA) method. The results obtained from the simulation have been compared with the existing technique in terms of delivery ratio, throughput, delay, overhead, energy conversation, and network lifetime. The result shows that the proposed system is more effective than existing systems.

Abstract

The Zero Trust safety architecture emerged as an intriguing approach for overcoming the shortcomings of standard network security solutions. This extensive survey study provides a meticulous explanation of the underlying principles of Zero Trust, as well as an assessment of the many strategies and possibilities for effective implementation. The survey begins by examining the role of authentication and access control within Zero Trust Architectures, and subsequently investigates innovative authentication, as well as access control solutions across different scenarios. It more deeply explores traditional techniques for encryption, micro-segmentation, and security automation, emphasizing their importance in achieving a secure Zero Trust environment. Zero Trust Architecture is explained in brief, along with the Taxonomy of Zero Trust Network Features. This review article provides useful insights into the Zero Trust paradigm, its approaches, problems, and future research objectives for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. This survey contributes to the growth and implementation of secure network architectures in critical infrastructures by developing a deeper knowledge of Zero Trust.

Abstract

Seed priming is widely recognized as a significant phenomenon for synchronizing germination and enhancing the vigor of seeds. Seeking the importance of priming, the influence of magnetic treatments in overall performance of plants cannot be undermined as well. In the present study, seeds of Pisum sativum L. and Plantago ovata Forssk. were primed with essential Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) such as; Gibberellic acid (GA3), Potassium nitrate (KNO3), Salicylic acid (SA), Ascorbic acid (AsA), Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in combination with different artificial magnetic treatment (North, South and N/S) to document morpho-physiological attributes. A lab experiment was conducted under Complete Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of 6 seed priming treatment along with control (no-priming) each with three replications. Seeds were primed with water (H2O) and PGRs for 12 hours and the final harvest of seedlings was obtained for morpho-physiological analysis after 20 days of germination. Results portrayed statistically significant (p < 0.05) data by increasing the morphological characteristics (root/shoot length, number of leaves, root/shoot fresh weight and root/shoot dry weight). Similarly, photosynthetic pigments i.e., chl a and carotenoids recorded significant variations under artificial magnetism except chl b which showed non-significant (p > 0.05) variations. Results concluded that hydro priming and pre-soaking of seeds with essential PGRs are highly recommended to maximize the early germination, morpho-physiological performance in pea and plantago seedlings under artificial magnetism.

Abstract

Heavy metal and pesticide pollution have become an inevitable part of the modern industrialized environment that find their way into all ecosystems. Because of their persistent nature, recalcitrance, high toxicity and biological enrichment, metal and pesticide pollution has threatened the stability of the environment as well as the health of living beings. Due to the environmental persistence of heavy metals and pesticides, they get accumulated in the environs and consequently lead to food chain contamination. Therefore, remediation of heavy metals and pesticide contaminations needs to be addressed as a high priority. Various physico-chemical approaches have been employed for this purpose, but they have significant drawbacks such as high expenses, high labor, alteration in soil properties, disruption of native soil microflora and generation of toxic by-products. Researchers worldwide are focusing on bioremediation strategies to overcome this multifaceted problem, i.e., the removal, immobilization and detoxification of pesticides and heavy metals, in the most efficient and cost-effective ways. For a period of millions of evolutionary years, microorganisms have become resistant to intoxicants and have developed the capability to remediate heavy metal ions and pesticides, and as a result, they have helped in the restoration of the natural state of degraded environs with long term environmental benefits. Keeping in view the environmental and health concerns imposed by heavy metals and pesticides in our society, we aimed to present a generalized picture of the bioremediation capacity of microorganisms. We explore the use of bacteria, fungi, algae and genetically engineered microbes for the remediation of both metals and pesticides. This review summarizes the major detoxification pathways and bioremediation technologies; in addition to that, a brief account is given of molecular approaches such as systemic biology, gene editing and omics that have enhanced the bioremediation process and widened its microbiological techniques toward the remediation of heavy metals and pesticides.
