Abstract This article reports on two distinct studies conducted in the context of employees and customers, respectively. The aim of Study 1 is to investigate the influence of anthropomorphism and responsiveness of food delivery people using artificial intelligence (AI) devices on their psychological safety and AI empathy. This study also evaluated the mediating impact of psychological safety and AI empathy with relation to anthropomorphism and responsiveness on AI service quality. In addition, Study 2 examines the impact of perceptions of AI service quality on customer engagement and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, in Study 2, we tested the moderating influence of AI usability on the relationship between AI service quality and customer engagement and on the relationship between AI service quality and customer satisfaction. In Study 1, we collected data from 312 food delivery boys/girls who used AI-based applications to offer e-food restaurant services. This study used a cross-sectional research design. We expand the scope of Study 1 by collecting data from 363 customers of the companies surveyed in Study 1 from eastern and southern parts of China. Study 2 used a time-delayed approach and collected data in two waves three months apart. The overall results of Study 1 and Study 2 support the proposed hypotheses. The results showed the direct and indirect relationship between independent variables (anthropomorphism and responsiveness) and service quality, customer engagement and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the results indicated a significant role of mediators (psychological safety and AI empathy) in Study 1 and moderators (AI usability) in Study 2. It has been stated that learners who take an active role in their learning are more likely to advance their analytical skills and expand their social connections. However, the process through which learners can expand their social capital is still unexplored. This study employs social cognitive theory to conduct a threefold investigation: (1) determining the impact of learner proactivity on online learner interaction, (2) determining the mediating influence of online learner interaction in the association between learner proactivity and learner social capital; and (3) determining the extent to which perceived peer support (PPS) influences the relationship between learner proactivity and learner social capital. The final sample of 322 respondents from China's Anhui province was employed in this study. The findings of this study, which were driven by a social cognitive theory, reveal that learner proactivity reaps social networks through online interaction, strengthening learner social capital in virtual learning. Objectives: The objective of the current study was to determine the frequency of anxiety and depression among patients diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) at a tertiary care cardiac center in Pakistan. Methodology: This cross-sectional study was conducted at a tertiary care cardiac center in Pakistan from May to November 2019. We included patients of either gender, between 30 and 70 years of age, diagnosed with ACS, and presented within 72 hours of onset of symptoms. After the standard treatment of the condition, the Beck Depression Inventory Scale (BDI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were used to assess post-AMI depression and anxiety. The BDI =17 was categorized as depression and BAI =11 was taken as anxiety. Results: In the selected sample of 122 patients, the mean age was 58.7 ± 10.2 years and 88 (72.1%) patients were male. Diabetes mellitus was detected in 76 (62.3%) patients and 64 (52.5%) patients were smokers. The mean BDI score was 28.6 ± 6.5 and mean BAI score was 19.5 ± 5.1. Anxiety and depression were observed in 36 (29.5%) and 51 (41.8%) patients, respectively. Conclusion: Depression and anxiety are a common remnants of ACS, hence, in our day to day clinical practice, appropriate consideration should be given to the psychological wellbeing of patients in addition to the management of ACS. In construction companies, employee burnout rates and negative socioemotional behaviors (NSEBs) are severe problems for the management. Work-related problems are then visible in the employee's psychological behaviors and consequent outcomes. The literature on organizational behavior argues that moral leadership can evade burnout and NSEB. Following the arguments, this article attempts to examine the impact of moral leadership on the employee's burnout and NSEB through the mediating variables of job embeddedness, and distributive justice in the construction industry. By using the social exchange theory, this article analyzes the data of 302 employees from construction companies in Hong Kong to assess these relationships. The results showed a negative relationship between moral leadership and the construction employees’ burnout. This article provides construction companies and their managers with useful insights on the way the moral leadership mediate through job embeddedness and distributive justice to curtail the employees' burnout. Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy/Dysplasia (ARVD) is regarded to be one of the highest common cause of death especially in athletes due to sudden cardiac arrest. Epidemiologically, 1 among 5000 populations has estimated prevalence of ARVD. ARVD clinical indications or symptoms before the age of 12 are difficult to diagnose and it is also rare to acquire ARVD symptoms after the age of 60. 34-year-old male patient with noknown co-morbid received at Emergency Department of PNS Shifa Hospital Karachi. Objective: To study the outcome of concomitant treatment of a non-chronic total occlusion lesion at the time of chronic total occlusion intervention at AFIC-NIHD. Study Design: Observational study. Place and Duration of Study: Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology/National Institute of Heart Diseases Rawalpindi, from Nov 2020 to Apr 2021. Methodology: A total of 171 patients presenting with chronic total coronary occlusion lesions were enrolled in study. Patients were randomized into two groups, group one with chronic total coronary occlusion only group and group two with combined group (chronic total coronary occlusion with non-chronic total coronary occlusion lesion) after coronary angiogram. The primary end-point assessed was angiographic (<30% residual diameter stenosis), clinical and procedural outcomes (TIMI grade flow, major adverse cardiac events (MACE) including death, stent thrombosis (ST), MI, repeated symptoms requiring repeat target vessel revascularization (TVR) either PCI or CABG, pericardial tamponade requiring pericardiocentesis or surgery and stroke) in patients with only chronic total coronary occlusion PCI group and combined group (chronic total coronary occlusion with non-chronic total coronary occlusion). Results: A total of 171 patients with chronic total coronary occlusion lesions were enrolled in the study. The mean age was 60.61 ± 9.68. There was no significant difference in perihospital complications, MACE in the two groups. However, there was increased contrast volume and radiation used in the combined group. Conclusion: Combined chronic total coronary occlusion and non-chronic total coronary occlusion lesion PCI can be done in a single procedural setting with acceptable complications and high success rate. Objective: To determine whether a planned 2-stent double kissing crush technique is superior to provisional stenting patients presenting with true distal LM bifurcation lesions. Study Design: Cross-sectional comparative study. Place and Duration of Study: Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology/National Institute of Heart Diseases, Rawalpindi Pakistan, from Dec 2020 to May 2021. Methodology: A total of 70 patients enrolled in the study presented with true distal LM bifurcation lesions (Medina 1, 1, 1 or 0, 1, 1). Patients were randomized to PS or DK crush technique. The primary end-point was peri hospital and 1 month composite rate target lesion failure (TLF): target vessel myocardial infarction (TVMI), cardiac death, stent thrombosis (ST), target vessel revascularization (TVR). Routine clinical follow up done at 2 weeks and 4 weeks followed by 3 and 6 months thereafter. Results: A total of 70 patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria were enrolled in the study. The patient population was divided into two groups. Group A participants underwent DK crush technique while group B participants underwent provisional stenting. In group A [DK crush technique] 16 (45.7%) patients presented with Non-ST elevation MI followed by 14 (40%) who presented with chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) while in group B [Provisional stenting] 13 (37.1%) presented with chronic coronary syndrome followed by 9 (25.7%) who presented with non-ST elevation MI. Conclusion: LM-PCI is an acceptable procedure in patients with true distal LM bifurcation lesions who are candidates for PCI. This study also showed that DK-Crush has good periprocedural and angiographic outcomes and superior to PS in complex LMCAD lesions. PS is an acceptable option in simple distal LMCAD. Students are regularly engaged in several things at the same time during class and school time. They are using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and using social media on these devices while learning and attending class. However, there are some situations likely influenced by this, current study tests the influence of technostress, cyberbullying, and media multitasking in the context of students in technology‐saturated classrooms and how this is affecting their academic performance. This study further explored the buffering effects of parental school support on the relationship between technostress, cyberbullying, and student's performance. By using the person‐environment fit model, this study surveyed 248 public sector school students in two waves and examined the impact of these variables on student's academic performance. Results show that technostress, cyberbullying, and media multitasking have a negative impact on student performance, and school parental support moderates the negative relationship between technostress and student performance. This study examines the indirect effect of employee empathy on service loyalty through the intervening effect of trust in and satisfaction with service employees during service interactions. Data were obtained through a self-administered questionnaire from university students. A total of 410 useable responses were used to perform data analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and bootstrapping for indirect effects were conducted to test the hypotheses. The results show a significant effect of employee empathy on trust in service employee and satisfaction with service employee during customer–employee interactions. Also, satisfaction with a service employee showed a significant effect on service loyalty during service interactions. The study enhances the understanding of empathy within banking services during interactions between service employees and customers. Abstract: This letter presents the design and analysis of a smart and low profile Ultra‐Wideband Slotted Planar Inverted Cone Antenna. The proposed slotted PICA has low profile (0.4 λ mm2 × 0.4 λ mm2) as compared to other existing designs and its operational bandwidth is from 3 GHz to 18 GHz. The simulated and measured results concur with acceptable return loss of better than 10 dB throughout the operational bandwidth. The radiation pattern of the antenna is omnidirectional and it has maximum Gain of 3.2 dB when placed close to human body, making it compatible for WBAN applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To compare profile, clinical characteristics and outcomes of patients admitted with acute heart failure and reduced ejection fraction to those patients with preserved ejection fraction. Study Design: Descriptive cross sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: The study was carried out at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology & National Institute of Heart Diseases from April to November 2016. Material and Methods: All patients presenting to AFIC ER and diagnosed with acute heart failure were included in this study. Echocardiography was done for all the patients. Baseline characteristics, clinical profile, lab investigations and outcomes were documented. Results: A total of 288 patients were included in this study, 223 (77.4%) patients had reduced ejection fraction (EF) <50% (HFrEF), 65 (22.5%) patients had preserved EF >50% HFpEF. Significantly higher numbers of female patients were seen in HFpEF group (0.04). Patients with preserved EF were significantly more hypertensive than patients with reduced EF (75.5% vs 54.0%, p-value 0.05), similarly systolic blood pressure >161 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure >101 mmHg was observed in patients with preserved EF as compared to patients with reduced EF. Heart failure complications including valvular heart disease (severe MR) and atrial fibrillation were more frequent in patients with preserved EF as compared to patients with reduced EF (10.8% vs 2.6% p 0.05 and 9.0% vs 1.3% p 0.04). Cardiogenic shock was more commonly encountered in patients with reduced EF (30.1% vs 4.6% p 0.03). NSTEMI was diagnosed in 15.6 (35.0%) patients with reduced EF and 3 (4.61%) patients with preserved EF (p-value 0.04). In hospital mortality was similar for both groups. Conclusion: Hypertension, valvular heart disease and a trial fibrillation is more commonly present in acute heart failure patients with preserved EF. However acute heart failure patients with reduced EF more frequently have ischemic heart disease and present with NSTEMI and cardiogenic shock. Whereas, mortality is same for both groups. Objective: To determine the frequency of diabetes mellitus in non ST segment elevation myocardial infarction. Study Design: Cross-sectional. Place and Duration of Study: The study was carried out at the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) Rawalpindi, from Apr 2010 to Oct 2010. Material and Methods: In this study three hundred fifty two patients with non ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) who fulfilled the inclusion criteria were studied while they were admitted to the hospital. They were divided into diabetic and non diabetic groups. Frequency of age, gender, rising levels of cardiac biochemical markers, plasma glucose and HbA1c were seen in both diabetic and non diabetic patients. Results were obtained by using chi-square method and independent t-test. Results: Out of 352 patients of NSTEMI 193 were diabetics. The study population was categorized in three groups according to age as; 30-45, 46-60, and 61-75 years respectively. It was found that 46-60 years group was most frequently affected with frequency of 46.1%, p<0.001 with male predominance as 67.9% and females as 32.1%. Cardiac biochemical markers were raised with mean for CK 528.51 U/L SD ± 275.82 and CK MB 79.39 U/L SD ± 32.5, p<0.001 respectively. Raised fasting plasma glucose was found in 189 patients mean 8.74 mmol/L SD ± 1.52, p<0.001 and elevated HbA1c seen in 187 patients mean 7.94% SD ± 0.83, p<0.001. Conclusion: Despite modern therapies for unstable angina (UA)/NSTEMI diabetes is an independent cardiovascular risk factor, therefore we need aggressive strategies to manage the high risk group of patients. ABSTRACT Holt Oram Syndrome (HOS) falls in rare prevalence category with probability of 0.7 in 100,000 live births. It is a rare autosomal dominant multiple malformation syndrome characterized by abnormalities affecting hands, wrists, arms, congenital heart defects and/or conduction problems. Genetic mutations observed in TBX5 gene is attributed as the main cause of HOS. Our patient in his late 40s was diagnosed with Holt Oram Syndrome. Purpose: Public service organizations may improve the quality of services they offer citizens by instilling proactive behavior in their employees. This study aimed to provide insights on how high-involvement work practices may indirectly facilitate proactive behavior in frontline government employees via employee commitment. Methods: A time-lagged approach was used to collect data from 542 frontline employees in three waves at 3-week intervals. We tested the hypothesized moderated mediation model using a PROCESS macro bootstrap approach. Results: A moderated-meditation model was applied in which public service motivation was theorized to increase the mediating effect of employee commitment on the relationship between high-involvement work practices and employee proactive behavior. As predicted, the findings show that supervisor' deviant behavior attenuated the mediating effect of employee commitment on the relationship between high-involvement work practices and employee proactive behavior. Conclusion: The findings of this research contribute to the emerging literature on public management and have implications for public sector organizations seeking to improve the quality of services they offer citizens. Hepatic scintigraphy has had to take a back seat for the past 2 decades because of continuing development of anatomical imaging. Ultrasound, CT, and MRI have more or less replaced Tc-99m colloid liver-spleen scan (SCS). However, the standard SCS survives and has an important role in certain niche areas where it makes a significant clinical contribution. The standard SCS gave relatively non-specific results. Now, we are moving to more tissue-specific scintigraphic scanning e.g., somatostatin imaging. Positron Emission Tomography (PET) continues to evolve as in other areas of Nuclear Imaging. Hepatobiliary scanning with iminodiacetic acid (IDA) compounds continue to play a prominent role in certain areas. Recent developments have concentrated on new equipment and increased availability of new radionuclides. These are the subject of this review. This review also describes the value of physiological liver scintigraphy, including gallium scanning as well as dynamic flow imaging of the liver such as hepatic artery perfusion scintigraphy and tagged red cell scintigraphy. To review the pathogenesis of pulmonary vascular complications of liver disease, we discuss their clinical implications, and therapeutic considerations, with emphasis on potential reversibility of the hepatopulmonary syndrome after liver transplantation. The aim of this review is to present a pictorial essay emphasizing the various patterns of calcification in pulmonary nodules (PN) to aid diagnosis and to discuss the differential diagnosis and the pathogenesis where it is known. The imaging evaluation of PN is based on clinical history, size, distribution and the gross appearance of the nodule as well as feasibility of obtaining a tissue diagnosis. Imaging is instrumental in the management of PN and one should strive not only to identify small malignant tumors with high survival rates but to spare patients with benign PN from undergoing unnecessary surgery. The review emphasizes how to achieve these goals. One of the most reliable imaging features of a benign lesion is a benign pattern of calcification and periodic follow-up with computed tomography showing no growth for 2 years. Calcification in PN is generally considered as a pointer toward a possible benign disease. However, as we show here, calcification in PN as a criterion to determine benign nature is fallacious and can be misleading. The differential considerations of a calcified lesion include calcified granuloma, hamartoma, carcinoid, osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma and lung metastases or a primary bronchogenic carcinoma among others. The article offers guidelines for interpretation of chest radiographs of the critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs). Particular focus is given to cardiopulmonary disorders diagnosed through chest radiographs. The normal position of monitoring devices and other line placements, including the endotracheal tube, nasogastric tube and pulmonary capillary wedge pressure monitors, are described. The definitions and characterizations of cardiopulmonary disorders including pneumothorax, pneumomediastinum and pleural effusions are provided.

Construction projects are cost-intensive, complex, and challenging ventures that often place employees in a harsh work environment filled with safety hazards. Employees facing such rigid characteristics must also adhere to strict time schedules to complete construction tasks; as a result, construction employees experience high stress that can deplete their psychological resources. Consequently, construction employees develop intentions to quit the organization, commonly known as turnover intentions. This study evaluates the role of ethical leadership in reducing employee turnover intentions in the construction industry. In this study, work exhaustion and psychological contract breach are considered prime antecedents of employee turnover in the construction industry. We collected data from satellite town development projects in Pakistan and performed regression path analysis to assess hypothesized relationships between construction employee turnover intention and its antecedents. The moderating effects of ethical leadership in reducing the impacts of work exhaustion and psychological contract breach were studied. Results revealed that work exhaustion and perceived psychological contract breach positively correlate with construction employee turnover intention; however, ethical leadership significantly reduced the impacts of work exhaustion and psychological contract breach on employee turnover intention. The findings and practical implications of this study can be used to help construction managers act ethically in their managerial duties to retain employees and continue to motivate employees to complete project tasks. Background: Insulin resistance is core cause of metabolic syndrome. Determining insulin resistance is one of the foremost requirements imperative to understanding the pathophysiology of disease. The gold standard "Euglycaemic clamp test" is cumbersome, long and non-feasible in routine clinical setups to diagnose metabolic syndrome. Various continuous and steady state insulin resistance indices are now available in literature. We plan to evaluate commonly utilized steady state insulin resistance indices directly and Homeostasis Model Assessment for Insulin Resistance (HOMAIR) with added triglyceride (HOMA-TG index). Methods: The cross-sectional study was carried from Jan-2016 to Dec-2018 at PNS HAFEEZ and department of chemical pathology, AFIP with following objectives: (1) To evaluate steady state insulin resistance markers for diagnosing metabolic syndrome as per IDF defined criteria by ROC curve analysis, (2) to measure Kendal Concordance between various insulin resistance indices and (3) to correlate steady state insulin resistance markers with anthropometric and lipid indices. After several exclusions we selected 224 subjects based upon "non-probability convenience sampling" for inclusion in study. Clinical history, anthropometric measures were calculated and sampling was done for insulin, glucose and other biochemical parameters. Metabolic syndrome was diagnosed as per IDF criteria, while HbA1c was utilized to diagnose diabetes mellitus. Pearson correlation was used to correlate various steady state insulin resistance indices including HOMAIR, HOMA2 index, QUICKI, G/I ratio, HOMA-TG index and serum insulin. AUC was calculated by ROC analysis for all surrogate insulin measures in diagnosis of metabolic syndrome. Results: "HOMA-TG index" has shown the highest AUC for diagnosing metabolic syndrome along with higher correlation with lipid markers and anthropometric indices in comparison to other steady-state insulin resistance markers. Furthermore, QUICKI and G/I ratio showed the lowest AUC for detection of metabolic syndrome. Conclusion: "HOMA-TG index" has shown highest AUC for metabolic syndrome diagnosis. However, QUICKI and G/I ration showed the lowest AUC for detection of metabolic syndrome. The aim of the study is to explore whether and how WhatsApp interactions can improve students' psychological well-being by focusing on the mediating role of bonding social capital (BOC) and bridging social capital (BRC). The present study also investigates the moderating role of social integration in association with WhatsApp use and psychological student well-being. Data were collected from 266 college and university students from Islamabad, Pakistan. Results showed that time spent on WhatsApp positively influenced student psychological well-being and that social integration significantly affected the mediation of BOC in association with WhatsApp use and student psychological well-being but insignificantly affected the mediation effect of BRC in association with WhatsApp use and student psychological well-being. Objective: To assess the relationship of serum LDL-C and HDL-C levels with Global Registry of Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) and Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) Scores to predict all-cause 30 days mortality following first onset Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS). Study Design: Descriptive cross-sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: Inpatient departments of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology/National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC/NIHD), Rawalpindi, from Jan 2019 to Jun 2019. Methodology: Ethical approval was taken from Institutional Ethical Review Board (IERB), AFIC/NIHD. Patients of any age and both genders who presented with chest pain and satisfied criteria for type 1 Myocardial Infarction (MI), as stated in 4th Universal Definition of MI, were included in study by non-probability consecutive sampling technique. Patients with a previous history of ischemic heart disease, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) or Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery and patients taking lipids lowering medications over at least 3 months prior to admission were excluded. Both TIMI and GRACE scores for ST Elevation MI (STEMI) and Non-ST Elevation MI (NSTEMI) were calculated at time of admission. One non fasting blood sample was drawn for serum lipid levels from each patient within 24 hours of hospital admission and was analyzed using ROCHE cobas 6000 c501 analyzer. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. Results: Out of 236 patients, 210 were male and 26 were female. Minimum recorded age was 25 years and maximum 90 years. Subjects presented with NSTEMI seem older (65.5 ± 7.3 years) than the ones presented with STEMI (59.7 ± 12.5 years). Anterior wall MI was the most common presentation (35%). Hypertension was the most common (57.6%) risk factor noted for Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). Serum lipids had a higher trend among STEMI subjects than NSTEMI and a lower trend among deceased subjects, as compared to survivors, in both STEMI and NSTEMI groups. Negative correlations were recorded between LDL-C and GRACE score in STEMI group (-0.277) and between HDL-C and both GRACE and TIMI scores (-0.349 and -0.299, respectively) in NSTEMI group. Abstract Research on social media as a source of knowledge coordination and communication has been flourishing. Organizations are increasingly focusing on teamwork as a creative solution for contemporary market challenges. In this study, we develop a mechanism to test the effects of the three dimensions of social media (social, cognitive, and hedonic use) on team creative performance in terms of knowledge management. Our survey data are collected from 382 members of 82 knowledge work teams. The analysis reveals that the three dimensions of social media have different effects on the transactive memory system. In addition, the dimensions of the transactive memory system enhance team creative performance through team creative efficacy. These findings bridge a literature gap by explaining the process and mechanism by which different social media uses influence team creative performance. This study has practical implications among organizations that aim to use social media to utilize each team member's expert knowledge to boost creative performance. The global population is increasing rapidly as compared to food production; approximately three times more food would be required in 2050. Climate change affects crop production by causing sudden changes in weather conditions, including rain, storms, heat waves, doughiness, and water shortages. Farming with smart technology provides a productive solution. Smart farming is a productive solution that provides a great resource of income and improves the countries' economy by exporting consumable goods and preventing food security problems. Smart agriculture provides a combination of flexibility, remote access, and automation through the use of intelligent control technologies. Many countries are working towards smart and intelligent agriculture farming that analyzes crop, soil fertility, pests and weeds, and other problems caused by mismanagement and incompetence. However, smart agricultural farming is less widely adopted in agriculture as a result of high costs and little understanding of technology. In this study, An artificial climate control chamber (ACCC) was designed for cultivating plants by controlling the optimal parameters, especially the light spectrum. In ACCC, influential plant factors such as light, moisture, humidity, and fertilizer concentration have been controlled intelligently. Light spectrum was controlled by time periods in the previous system, while in the system proposed in this study, the light was controlled by image processing. In an artificial control chamber, the plant growth stages have been determined through image processing techniques. Datasets of image images have been used to organize specific intensities of the light spectrum. This intelligent system provides aid in the speed breeding procedure through variant spectrums of light and fertilizers combinations. In the context of the transitioning economy of the United Arab Emirates, which demands inculcating innovative behavior in public employees, this study investigates the relationship between high‐involvement work practices and leaders' collaborative nature with employees' innovative behavior. Drawing on the social exchange and ability–motivation–opportunity theories, this research expounds the mediating effect of employees' wellbeing to examine the mechanisms through which high‐involvement work practices and public leaders' collaborative nature affect employees' innovative behavior in public organisations. Using three‐wave data from 207 individuals in public service organisations, this study tests the effects of employees' perceptions of high‐involvement work practices and leaders' collaborative nature on their wellbeing and innovative work behaviors. Objective: To share our experience of percutaneous trans-catheter aortic valve implantation in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. Study Design: A retrospective cross sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: The study was conducted at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology/National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC/NIHD) Rawalpindi, from Mar 2015 to Feb 2020. Methodology: Retrospective analysis of all consecutive patients who underwent percutaneous trans-catheter aortic valve implantation was done to assess its immediate, short and long term outcome and safety. Twenty patients have undergone trans-catheter aortic valve implantation since 2015 in the institute. Base line blood chemistry including creatinine clearance, ultra-sonography abdomen, carotid Doppler, chest X-ray, High-Resolution Computed Tomography chest was done in all cases as part of the protocol. Mean age of the patients was 73 ± 7.91. There were sixteen males (80.0%) and four females (20.0%). All patients under went procedure through transfemoral route. Valve structure and peripheral vasculature for suitability of the procedure was assessed by computerized coronary tomographic angiography with TAVI protocol. In eleven patients aortic valve was trileaflet (55.0%) and in remaining nine it was bicuspid (45.0%). Mean gradient across the valve pre-procedure was 56.37 ± 9.14. Thirteen patients (65.0%) presented with angina/dysnoea NYHA III, 6 patients with syncope (30.0%) and one (5.0%) had heart failure. Two patients had undergone previous coronary artery bypass surgery. Procedure was carried out under general anesthesia in all patients except one. Balloon expandable Edwards Sapienvalve was implanted in two patients and self-expandable Core Valve/Evolut R in eighteen patients. Results: Seventeen patients underwent the procedure successfully with reduction of the mean gradients immediately after valve implantation to less than 15 mmHg recorded in the cath labangiographically subsequently complemented by transthoracic echocardiography. There were 3 deaths during the index hospitalization. Two occurred in the catheterization laboratory, one death was due to development of severe acute aortic regurgitation and second was due to acute coronary obstruction. Third death occurred due to acute kidney injury after seven days. Five patients died in next three months during follow up. One patient required permanent pacemaker because of development of left bundle branch block and second degree atrio-ventricular block post procedure. Conclusion: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation in patients with severe symptomatic aortic stenosis is a very effective and procedurally safe option and reasonable alternative to surgical valve replacement in high operative risk individuals. Objective: To determine the correlation of Global Registry for Acute Coronary Events (GRACE) and Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) scores with Synergy between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery (SYNTAX) score (SS) to predict the extent and severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients presented with first onset STE levation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PPCI). Study Design: Descriptive cross-sectional study. Place and Duration of Study: Inpatient departments of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology/ National Institute of Heart Diseases (AFIC/NIHD), Rawalpindi, from Jan 2019 to Jun 2019. Methodology: Ethical approval was taken from Institutional Ethical Review Board (IERB), AFIC/NIHD. Patients of any age and both genders who presented with chest pain and satisfied criteria for Type 1 Myocardial Infarction (MI), as stated in 4th Universal Definition of MI, were included in study by non-probability consecutive sampling technique. Patients with a previous history of ischemic heart disease, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) or Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) surgery were excluded. Both TIMI and GRACE scores for STEMI were calculated at time of admission. The extent and severity of CAD were assessed by the SS-I. Each coronary lesion with a diameter stenosis of at least 50%, in vessels of at least 1.5 mm, were scored. Data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. Results: Out of 376 patients, 327 (86.9%) were male and 49 (13.1%) were female. Anterior wall MI was the most common presentation 164 (43.6%). Among risk factors for CAD, hypertension was the most common one 215 (57.2%). A positive correlation was found between SS and GRACE low, intermediate and high-risk groups (0.145). Conclusion: Patients having high GRACE and TIMI scores were more likely to have severe CAD. In comparison with TIMI score, GRACE score was found to have better correlation with SS, but degree of that association was not strong enough to make it a reliable and sole predictor of CAD severity. E-commerce platforms provide extended warranty service (EW) to achieve high profitability. Manufacturers need to distinguish whether consumers have purchased extended warranty services when recycling products. We establish a closed-loop supply chain model with extended warranty service. Three recycling pricing strategies of the manufacturer are discussed: a low recycling price only attracts consumers who do not purchase EW, a high recycling price attracts two types of consumers or discriminatory recycling prices for both types of consumers. The results show that discriminated pricing can attract consumers to participate in product recycling, improving product recycling quantity and saving manufacturing costs. The high recycling price is applicable when the base warranty period is short, and the residual value of the old products is low. The manufacturer and the e-commerce platform can both benefit from the three recycling strategies as compared to non-recycling. Manufacturer's recycling can increase the price and demand of products, and the proportion of consumers purchasing EW is reduced. With increased exposure of patients to routine imaging, incidental benign intrathoracic masses are frequently recognized. Most have classical imaging features, which are pathognomonic for their benignity. The aim of this pictorial review is to educate the reader of radiological features of several types of intrathoracic masses. The masses are categorized based on their location/origin and are grouped into parenchymal, pleural, mediastinal, or bronchial. Thoracic wall masses that invade the thorax such as neurofibromas and lipomas are included as they may mimic intrathoracic masses. All examples are illustrated and include pulmonary hamartoma, pleural fi broma, sarcoidosis, bronchial carcinoid, and bronchoceles together with a variety of mediastinal cysts on plain radiographs, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Sometimes a multimodality approach would be needed to confi rm the diagnosis in atypical cases. Intra-thoracic manifestations of progressive systemic sclerosis (PSS) are not well known particularly the imaging features, which forms the basis of accurate and timely diagnosis. The aim of this study is to familiarize the physicians and radiologists with these features. The diagnosis can remain elusive because of the non-specifi c nature of symptoms which mimic many common conditions. Thus, the diagnosis of PSS can be missed leading to continuous morbidity if the correct imaging is not pursued. The authors examined the records of rheumatology patient referrals of over a 5 year period. A hundred and seventy patients with systemic sclerosis and mixed connective tissue disorders were chosen for detailed study of the imaging available, which form the basis of this review. The images included conventional chest radiographs, digital radiographs computed radiography (CT) and high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). The prevalent use of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices over the Sea, such as, on oil and gas platforms, cargo, and cruise ships, requires high-speed connectivity of these devices. Although satellite based backhaul links provide vast coverage, but they are inherently constrained by low data rates and expensive bandwidth. If a signal propagated over the sea is trapped between the sea surface and the Evaporation Duct (ED) layer, it can propagate beyond the horizon, achieving long-range backhaul connectivity with minimal attenuation. This paper presents experimental measurements and simulations conducted in the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) Band Wi-Fi frequencies, such as 5.8 GHz to provide hassle-free offshore wireless backhaul connectivity for IoT devices over the South China Sea in the Malaysian region. Real-time experimental measurements are recorded for 10 km to 80 km path lengths to determine average path loss values. The fade margin calculation for ED must accommodate additional slow fading on top of average path loss with respect to time and climate-induced ED height variations to ensure reliable communication links for IoT devices. Experimental results confirm that 99% link availability of is achievable with minimum 50 Mbps data rate and up to 60 km distance over the Sea to connect offshore IoT devices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Placements of central venous lines (CVC), percutaneous intrathoracic drains (ITDs), and nasogastric tubes (NGTs) are some of the most common interventional procedures performed on patients that are unconscious and in almost all intensive care/high dependency patients in one form or the other. These are standard procedures within the remit of physicians, and other trained health professionals. Procedural complicationsmay occur in 7%-15% of patients depending upon the intervention and experience of the operator. Most complications are minor, but other serious complications may add significantly to morbidity and even mortality of already compromised patients. Imaging findings are the key to the detection of misplaced lines, and tubes and their prompt recognition are vital to avoid harm to the patient. It is, therefore, pertinent that healthcare professionals who perform these procedures are familiar with imaging complications of these procedures. Advances in our understanding of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection have led to improved care and incremental increases in survival. However, the pulmonary manifestations of HIV/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) remain a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Respiratory complaints are not infrequent in patients who are HIV positive. The great majority of lung complications of HIV/AIDS are of infectious etiology but neoplasm, interstitial pneumonias, Kaposi sarcoma and lymphomas add significantly to patient morbidity and mortality. Imaging plays a vital role in the diagnosis and management of lung of complications associated with HIV. Accurate diagnosis is based on an understanding of the pathogenesis of the processes involved and their imaging findings. Imaging also plays an important role in selection of the most appropriate site for tissue sampling, staging of disease and follow-ups.
