The infrared drying technology has been known as the energy saving technology. The infrared dried products keep their quality better than those dried by other normal methods. This research will present the results of calculating, designing, and manufactured the infrared drying system with the capacity of 12 kilograms materials per batch. The drying process is automatically controlled and measured by the computer program. After successfully manufactured, the drying system was used to dry the pineapple products with a thickness of 3 to 4 mm and followed by the drying modes: 69 °C of the drying temperature, 5 m/s of the rate of drying factors, and 5.0 hours of the drying time. The results showed that the energy cost was 2.013 kWh/kg of products lower than that of 3.8 kW/kg of products dried by the normal dryings, the moisture content reached 9.96 %, reduced products cost, and prolonged the self-life. The dried pineapple showed the bright yellow, natural odors, and better quality than that dried by normal methods. Thus, the manufactured drying system can improve the post-harvest preserving matters of Vietnamese agricultural products and lead to high economic efficiency.

Purpose- Bank managers have recently focused more on capital structure with the aim of achieving optimal financial cost allocation in bank operations in order to enhance their performance. Methodology- Employing the database of 28 Vietnamese commercial banks during the period 2010-2019, this paper investigates the impact of capital structure on bank performance. Findings- By applying Pooled OLS, FEM and REM regression models, combined with SYS-GMM technique to fix some diagnose problems as well as endogeneity phenomena, the empirical findings reveal that capital structure (measured by total debt to assets and debt to equity ratios) negatively and significantly influences the performance of selected commercial banks (measured by ROA and ROE). Meanwhile, most of control variables (bank size, non-performing loan, liquidity, and GDP growth rate) represent significant and positive relationships with bank performance, except for the negative impact of operating cost rate. Conclusion- Regarding these outcomes, some implications are suggested to policy makers and bank managers to improve bank performance, subsequently to enhance the stability of the Vietnamese banking system – especially under the current uncertain economic conditions.

Phellinus linteus(Berk. & Curt.) Teng mushroom belonging to the genus Phellinusspp., has high medicinal value. This study was carried out with the aim to evaluate the effects of carbon, nitrogen sources, pH, and temperature on the mycelial growth of the P. linteusstrain. The experimental results showed that glucose and casein with concentrations of 2.0 and 0.2% respectively are identified as the most suitable carbon and nitrogen nutrient sources forP. linteus. Conversely, the mycelia of P. linteusare not able to grow on the urea media. Mycelium of P. linteus growths well at 7-10 pH and temperature at 30oC. When mycelia are incubated in these conditions, the rate of mycelial growth of P. linteus reaches 5.0 mm/day with thick density even distribution, and adherence to the substrate firmly.
