Abstract

The article presents estimates of natural resources rent and its role in Russian economy. Extractive rent is a type of natural resource rent. It occurs only in the mining industry and is the result of mining/geological and socioeconomic factors involved in production of mineral resources. Absolute rent is understood as the income that a subsoil user receives from developing a deposit, regardless of its quality. The value of various parameters that provides for simple replacement of the extractive raw material base should be stipulated from the very beginning in license agreements between the subsoil user and the extractive rights owner
