The article considers, on the basis of results of sociological research, consequences of pandemic impact on social health of citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union states. The comparative analysis was applied to two groups of labor migrants from the EAEU states in Moscow and Russian citizens of the same age. The measures taken by the EАEU to maintain population social health in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic are considered.

Advanced stage glioma is the most aggressive form of malignant brain tumors with a short survival time. Real-time pathology assisted, or image guided surgical procedures that eliminate tumors promise to improve the clinical outcome and prolong the lives of patients. Our work is focused on the development of a rapid and sensitive assay for intraoperative diagnostics of glioma and identification of optical markers essential for differentiation between tumors and healthy brain tissues. We utilized fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) of endogenous fluorophores related to metabolism of the glioma from freshly excised brains tissues. Macroscopic time-resolved fluorescence images of three intracranial animal glioma models and surgical samples of patients' glioblastoma together with the white matter have been collected. Several established and new algorithms were applied to identify the imaging markers of the tumors. We found that fluorescence lifetime parameters characteristic of the glioma provided background for differentiation between the tumors and intact brain tissues. All three rat tumor models demonstrated substantial differences between the malignant and normal tissue. Similarly, tumors from patients demonstrated statistically significant differences from the peritumoral white matter without infiltration. While the data and the analysis presented in this paper are preliminary and further investigation with a larger number of samples is required, the proposed approach based on the macroscopic FLIM has a high potential for diagnostics of glioma and evaluation of the surgical margins of gliomas., Competing Interests: MB is the founder of HSpeQ LLC, a hyperspectral imaging company that develops IDCube software. A molecular variant of human serum thyroxine-binding globulin (TBG), containing only triantennary oligosaccharide chains and having a more prolonged in vivo survival (TBG-1), was first detected in normal pregnancy and then in the postpartum period. Serum TBG-1 was measured in normal and in some pathological conditions associated with normal or increased TBG biosynthesis using a combination of Con A-Sepharose 4B microcolumn affinity chromatography and a highly sensitive TBG radioimmunoassay. TBG-1 was shown to be present in the sera of healthy subjects (0.21 +/- 0.04 micrograms/ml, n = 60; 1.15% of total TBG). The proportion of TBG-1 in total serum TBG was significantly increased (up to 9.5%) in conditions with serum TBG excess (cancer, hypothyroidism and liver diseases). It has been assumed that a selective enhancement of biosynthesis of the TBG molecular variant with a prolonged half-life in the circulation during the posttranslational modification of the polypeptide chain is a response to the body requirements in a high TBG concentration.

The serum concentrations of the total thyroxine-binding globulin (TBGt), its pregnancy-associated molecular variant (TBG-1), thyroxine, progesterone, estradiol, and prolactin were measured by radioimmunoassay in the course of the postpartum period (0-40 days) in women. High serum TBG-1 concentrations (an average of 36% of the level observed at the time of delivery) were unexpectedly detected in the late postpartum period (days 36-40) when the concentrations of TBGt, thyroxine, estradiol and progesterone were within normal. The presence of TBG-1 in the maternal blood for a long time after delivery may be caused by estrogen-dependent synthesis and secretion rather than by its slow clearance from the blood.

The antianaphylactic effect of new antihistaminic agents by derivatives of gamma-carboline dimebon and meraboin was studied by the method of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis. It was found that the agents in a dose amounting to 10% of LD50 possessed a high anaphylactic activity which did not correlate with the degree of their antihistaminic effect. During in vitro experiments the mechanism of action of dimebon and meraboin can be conditioned also by their ability to decrease histamine release from mast cells and to reduce the activity of cAMP-dependent phosphodiesterase.
