This paper introduces a comparative study for fault detection and classification on parallel transmission line using cascade forward and feed forward back propagation. Both calculations were based on discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and Clarke’s transformation. Daubechies4 mother wavelet (Db4) was applied to decompose coefficients of wavelet transforms coefficients (WTC) and wavelet energy coefficients (WEC) of high frequency signals. The coefficients were inputs for training of neural network back-propagation (BPNN). The results showed that the feed forward back propagation algorithm of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) models responded better than Cascade forward back propagation algorithm models, particularly in fault detection and classification on parallel transmission. The results showed that the proposed method for fault analysis was able to classify all the faults on the parallel transmission line rapidly and correctly. Streszczenie. W pracy przedstawiono badanie porownawcze wykrywania i klasyfikacji uszkodzen rownoleglej linii przesylowej z wykorzystaniem propagacji kaskadowej do przodu i do tylu. Oba obliczenia oparto na dyskretnej transformacie falkowej (DWT) i transformacji Clarke'a. Falke macierzystą Daubechies4 (Db4) zastosowano do dekompozycji wspolczynnikow przeksztalcen falkowych (WTC) i wspolczynnikow energii falkowej (WEC) sygnalow wysokiej czestotliwości. Wspolczynniki stanowily dane wejściowe do szkolenia propagacji wstecznej sieci neuronowej (BPNN). Wyniki pokazaly, ze algorytm propagacji wstecznego sprzezenia zwrotnego modeli sztucznej sieci neuronowej (ANN) zareagowal lepiej niz modele algorytmu kaskadowego propagacji wstecznej, szczegolnie w wykrywaniu bledow i klasyfikacji w transmisji rownoleglej. Wyniki pokazaly, ze zaproponowana metoda analizy uszkodzen byla w stanie szybko i poprawnie sklasyfikowac wszystkie uszkodzenia na rownoleglej linii przesylowej. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan karakteristik kinerja bahan polimer silicone rubber yang diisi dengan fly ash abtubara berupa karakteristik elektrik dan mekanik sesuai dengan standar isolator listrik tegangan tinggi yang digunakan pada tower transmisi listrik. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah meneliti kinerja silicone rubber berpengisi fly ash batubara pada kondisi virgin dan kondisi penuaan. Kondisi penuaan dilakukan pada lingkungan basah dan lingkungan iklim tropis alamiah. Tolak ukur kinerja silicone rubber mengacu pada hasil pengukuran karakteristik kekuatan dielektrik, resistivitas volume, resistivitas permukaan, permitivitas relatif, sudut kontak, difusi air, kuat tarik, dan elongasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fly ash batubara memungkinkan digunakan sebagai bahan pengisi polimer silicone rubber, baik pada lingkungan basah maupun pada lingkungan tropis. Hal tersebut dibuktikan bahwa pola kinerja silicone rubber berpengisi fly ash batubara hampir sama dengan pola kinerja silicone rubber tanpa bahan pengisi. Prosentase bahan pengisi yang optimal adalah 30% fly ash batubara pada silicone rubber. Hasil penelitian ini juga akan mendatangkan efek ganda pada tindak penyelamatan lingkungan, yaitu penggunaan fly ash batubara akan memangkas dampak negatif jika bahan sisa ini dibuang begitu saja dan sekaligus akan mengurangi penggunaan kuantitas polimer sili cone rubber dalam pembuatan isolator listrik tegangan tinggi.

This article is an attempt to get the explanation of the insulating material of silicone rubber is cheap. Things done is mixing the silicone rubber with other material in the form filler are cheap and easy to obtain. Coal fly ash is one of the sources of material which allows used as a filler because this material has a very fine particle size and contains materials that have been and are being studied as a filler for silicone rubber insulators. This paper explains the study to determine the properties of silicone rubber filled with coal fly ash from different sources, namely from the Tonasa coal-fired power plant and the Barru coal-fired power plant. The parameters measured in this study are the parameters of electrical properties such as contact angle, relative permittivity, dielectric strength, volume resistivity, and surface resistivity. The results of this study indicate that coal fly ash from the Tonasa coal-fired power plant more feasible for use as a filler material of silicone rubber compared to coal fly ash from the Barru coal-fired power plant for its ability to increase the contact angle of hydrophobic, dielectric strength, volume resistivity and surface resistivity.

Electrical and mechanical properties of fly ash filled silicone rubber for high voltage insulator are investigated in this paper. The fly ash studied is taken from subbituminous coal combustion which contains high amount of Silica (SiO2) and Alumina (Al2O3), majority in form of glass and quartz. In many literature, Silica and Alumina have been proven can enhance electrical and mechanical performance of silicone rubber insulator. Measurements are conducted on various amount of fly ash in RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanization) silicone rubber to find electrical and mechanical characteristics of fly ash and RTV silicone rubber composite such as dielectric strength, volume resistivity, surface resistivity, dielectric constant (relative permittivity), tensile strength, and hydrophobicity. Test performed according to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standard. Test results showed that, on average, the dielectric strength of materials are increase with increasing fly ash content. Maximum value of the dielectric strength achieved in 40% fly ash content in silicone rubber. Volume resistivity of the materials are increase with addition of fly ash. The maximum volume resistivity value is achieved in 30% fly ash content. Surface resistivity and dielectric constant also increase with increasing content of fly ash up to 80% in the silicone rubber. Tensile strength of the materials, on average, are increase with addition of fly ash content. The maximum increase in tensile strength, reached on the 30% fly ash content. Hydrophobicity test by contact angle measurement of the materials are increase with addition of fly ash in the silicone rubber, with maximum contact angle is reached in 30 % of fly ash content.

Polymers as high voltage insulatoion materials has become an alternative option replaces the insulating material made of ceramic and glass. Different with other insulators, polymer has an advantage in dielectric properties, volume resistivity, thermal properties, mechanical strength and light weight. Beside that the polymer insulator has a water-repellent properties (hydrophobicity), although various advantages of polymer insulator, but the material is a synthetic material that is generally vulnerable to climate, pollution and exposure to high electric field. The influence of inertia and heavy rainfall can lead to erosion of the surface of the polymer insula tor. The different between Partial pressure is different between the materials and environmental conditions allows the diffusion process. Attempts to increase the stability of polymers against degradation due to aging continues to be done by adding fillers (filler), which in this study we utilize the waste coal fly ash as filler material. Some important parameters to determine the performance of the polymer insulator silicon rubber which is the goal of research that is to know the value of the dielectric co nstant, and the contact angle of the insulator material by providing treatment concentration of coal fly ash filler are different and how they affect the process of diffusion of water into a test object, so will obtained polymer insulator dielectric characteristic difference before and after the diffusion process takes place. The test results showed that the influence of the diffusion of water will worsen the state of the insulator as indicated by the rising and falling relative permittivity hydrophobic nature of the test material. Beside that the addition of filler also took part in influencing the dielectric properties of the polymer insulator silicone rubber (SIR)

Industri ketenagalistrikan, khususnya di pusat-pusat pembangkit listrik non-renewable (PLTU, PLTD, dan PLTG), yang menggunakan batu bara, minyak, dan gas sebagai bahan bakar, memiliki potensi yang sangat besar untuk menghasilkan polusi pada udara dan air. Untuk mengendalikan tingkat pencemaran lingkungan yang dihasilkan oleh buangan limbah pada pusat pembangkit listrik non-renewable / termal tersebut diperlukan suatu sistem yang dapat menilai kualitas lingkungan berupa penilaian dampak lingkungan. Expert system (sistem pakar) penilaian dampak pencemaran lingkungan akibat pembangunan pusat pembangkit tenaga listrik non-renewable diperlukan karena adanya kebutuhan masyarakat untuk dapat melakukan advokasi mengenai permasalahan lingkungan di sekitar pembangkit tersebut. Serta dalam penyusunan analisis dampak, sebuah laporan dampak lingkungan pembangkit listrik non-renewable membutuhkan banyak pendapat ahli dari berbagai bidang ilmu sehingga hal ini membutuhkan investasi yang besar. Untuk alasan ekonomis dan praktis tersebut, pengembangan expert system untuk penilaian dampak lingkungan pembangkit listrik non-renewable (PLTU, PLTD, dan PLTG) bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan sistem penilaian dampak lingkungan berbasis Sistem Cerdas dalam bentuk expert system yg akan mengadopsi pikiran dan pengetahuan pakar lingkungan pembangkit listrik untuk meminimilisasi kehadiran mereka. Selanjutnya peneliti akan melakukan langkah-langkah kerja untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut dalam persiapan penelitian, literatur review dan survei lapangan, pembuatan modul-modul expert system pembangkit listrik, pembuatan ujicoba interface, dan pembuatan laporan dan jurnal. Penelitian ini akan berlangsung selama 3 (tiga) tahun, dimana pada tahun pertama ini menghasilkan desain awal penilaian dampak lingkungan pada pembangkit listrik tenaga uap batubara (PLTU).

Proyek penelitian tentang pengoptimalisasian penggunaan energi terbarukan lokal untuk pembangkit tenaga listrik di Sulawesi Selatan berdasarkan sasaran pemenuhan energi nasional sampai tahun 2025, dimana pemerintah telah mengeluarkan Peraturan Presiden no. 5 tahun 2006 tentang kebijakan energi nasional berupa sasaran pemakaian energi pada tahun 2025. Untuk bisa mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap BBM, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat perencanaan energi untuk kepentingan penyediaan energi listrik di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan dalam rangka mengembangkan kemampuan daerah untuk melaksanakan otonomi daerah di bidang energi ketenagalistrikan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan survei data dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data menggunakan LEAP yang akan menghasilkan prediksi pemakaian dan penyediaan energi listrik di Sulawesi Selatan.
