From the color geography perspective, a field investigation was conducted in the Minjiang River Basin, constructing a color index system of traditional villages. In Python, a random forest model was constructed to screen out important color indexes for traditional village color classification and explore its influence mechanism. Among eight color indexes, the important indexes are wall form and building face form, accounting for 30.50% and 19.40%, respectively. Based on this, the basin was divided into four color zones presenting color characteristics and eight color subzones presenting architectural features. The influence mechanism concerns dialect divisions that have shaped traditional villages of different color types, and the interconnection of water systems has promoted the connections among them. The application of traditional village colors in the new urban and rural planning can enhance local characteristics. This study formulates a theoretical hypothesis regarding the intricate interplay among foreign direct investment (FDI), environmental regulation, and energy transition. To empirically validate this hypothesis, a comprehensive analysis is carried out on 38 member nations of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) over the span of 2003 to 2020, utilizing a panel fixed effects model, a panel quantile model, and a panel threshold regression model. The findings of the research indicate that (1) FDI exhibits an inhibitory impact on energy transition and, according to the heterogeneity analysis, FDI significantly inhibits energy transition in developed nations. However, the inhibitory influence on energy transition in developing nations is not as pronounced. (2) A considerable amount of dampening influence is exerted by FDI on energy transition at various stages of the transition and is most apparent when the transition is in the growth phase. (3) A threshold effect is evident in FDI and environmental regulation in relation to energy transition owing to the mismatch between the two developments. Notably, the influence of FDI on energy transition significantly varies based on the stringency of environmental regulation. As formal environmental regulation surpasses a designated threshold, FDI shifted from facilitating to inhibiting the energy transition. The same conclusions were reached when informal environmental regulation was considered as the threshold variable. Drawing from the conclusions of this paper, the countries of the OECD can develop a theoretical framework to formulate foreign investment introduction policies and regulate environmental regulation efforts to promote the energy transition. The sustainable development of rural tourism requires not only active participation from the government and enterprises but is also closely tied to the attitudes of local residents. This study, grounded in the theories of relative deprivation and social comparison, focuses on the residents living near the Jinshi Gorge Scenic Area in Shangluo City. We constructed a structural equation model to explore how residents' perceptions of the social environment in rural tourism influence their sense of relative deprivation, enhance their happiness, and ultimately promote the sustainable development of rural tourism. The study's findings reveal the following: (1) that demographic characteristics, including age, education level, and annual income, significantly influence residents' perceptions of their social environment, particularly their sense of group identity, social support, and feelings of inequality. (2) Levels of relative deprivation vary significantly across different demographic groups. (3) There is a strong positive correlation between individual cognitive relative deprivation and individual emotional relative deprivation. Similarly, group cognitive relative deprivation positively predicts group emotional relative deprivation. (4) Experiences of discrimination, feelings of inequality, and strength of group identity emerge as significant predictors of both individual and group-level cognitive and emotional relative deprivation. Invasive alien plants (IAPs) pose a significant threat to island biodiversity and severely impact ecosystems. Understanding the species–area relationship and environmental determinants of growth forms for IAP species on subtropical islands is crucial for establishing an IAP's early warning mechanism, enhancing island ecological management, and protecting the ecosystems of Fujian and other subtropical islands. The study identified significant species–area relationships for IAPs and different life-form plants (trees, shrubs, and herbs), with slopes of 0.27, 0.16, 0.15, and 0.24, respectively. The small island effect does not apply to all species. Isolation has little effect on species richness, and the IAPs on Fujian islands do not conform to the isolation effect in island biogeography. Landscape factors are the main determinants of IAPs and different life-form species richness, with area, shape index, and perimeter–area ratio being the three primary landscape factors. These environmental factors are closely related to habitat heterogeneity. Besides landscape factors, different life forms respond differently to environmental factors. Climate drives the species richness distribution of shrubs and herbs, while trees are mainly influenced by human activities. Overall, landscape, human disturbance, and climate jointly drive the distribution of IAPs, with landscape factors being the most significant. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Education is now an indicator of national modernization that countries in the world intend to promote the national quality and cultivate talents for national development through education. Especially, when human societies get into the 21st century, global societies, politics, economy, and culture are facing major changes. With the development of technology, the advance of the Internet, and the popularity of mobile devices, learning outside the classroom is no longer a problem and learning combined with authentic contexts becomes easier. When mobile devices are developed to connect to the network, it starts the mobile learning stage and ubiquitous learning becomes the easily accessible reality. Having Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fujian Normal University, and Fujian Huaqiao University as the research objects, total 348 students of two classes each from the three universities are selected as the research objects in this study. The research results conclude: 1. significantly positive correlations between context awareness and self-efficacy, 2. remarkably positive correlations between self-efficacy and learning motivation, and 3. notably positive correlations between context awareness and learning motivation. According to the research results, suggestions are proposed in this study, expecting to assist in the development of education.

The popularity of the Internet has toppled people's thinking models and teaching styles as well as influenced the operation of school education. In teaching processes, computers could attract students' attention through vivid images, bright colors and characters, and sound to further promote their learning concentration and interests. Research on the application of integrating information into instruction is increasing, and lots of studies prove that technology could help students' learning and improve their learning attitudes. In this study, the nonequivalent pretest posttest control group design is utilized for the quasi-experiment research. Total 236 students in two classes each from Xiamen University and Fuzhou University in Fujian Province are selected as the research objects for the 32-week experimental instruction for 3 hours per week (total 96 hours). The research results reveal 1. significant effects of adventure education on comprehension, 2. remarkable effects of adventure education on learning effectiveness, 3. the best promotion of comprehension with Reciprocal Teaching under multimedia teaching, and 4. the best promotion of learning effectiveness with Reciprocal Teaching under multimedia teaching. The results are further discussed to propose specific suggestions in this study. It is expected to enhance teachers' teaching skills and promote students' learning effectiveness.

A thin-film absorber with tunable acoustic properties over a wideband is designed based on the acoustic metamaterial theory. The thin-film acoustic metamaterial absorber (TFAMA) consists of a frame made of piezoelectric material and several flexible films with attached mass blocks (mass-spring vibration system). Based on the vibration mechanism of the mass-spring vibration system, a cellular model of local resonance form is established, and the material properties of negative effective mass are discussed. Combined with the vibration modal analysis of the coupling of mass block, elastic film, and piezoelectric material, the acoustic characteristics of the TFAMA under alternating voltage excitation are studied by finite element and experimental methods. The simulation and experimental results show that the sound wave can be well absorbed when it is incident on TFAMA to cause the membrane-cavity coupling resonance. By applying an alternating voltage to the TFAMA to excite the mass-spring vibration system to generate local resonance, the absorption of sound waves can be further enhanced in a relatively wide band near the excitation frequency. In view of the convenience of voltage parameter adjustment, the sound absorption band can be flexibly tuned in a wide range, including low frequency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
