Abstract

The demand for processing vast volumes of data has surged dramatically due to the advancement of machine learning technology. Large-scale data processing necessitates substantial computational resources, prompting individuals and enterprises to turn to cloud services. Accompanying this trend is a growing concern regarding data leakage and misuse. Homomorphic encryption (HE) is one solution for safeguarding data privacy, enabling encrypted data to be processed securely in the cloud. However, the encryption and decryption routines of some HE schemes require considerable computational resources, presenting non-trivial work for clients. In this paper, we propose an outsourced decryption protocol for the prevailing RLWE-based fully homomorphic encryption schemes. The protocol splits the original decryption into two routines, with the computationally intensive part executed remotely by the cloud. Its security relies on an invariant of the NTRU-search problem with a newly designed blinding key distribution. Cryptographic analyses are conducted to configure protocol parameters across varying security levels. Abstract

Nonlinear optics has generated a wide range of applications in the fields of optical communications, biomedicine, and materials science, with nonlinear conversion efficiency serving as a vital metric for its progress. However, the weak nonlinear response of materials, high optical loss, and inhomogeneous distribution of the light field hamper the improvement of the conversion efficiency. We present a composite grating waveguide structure integrated into a Bragg reflector platform. This design achieves high Q in the spectral range by exploiting the unique properties exhibited by the bound states in the Bloch surface wave-enhanced continuum, and efficient second-harmonic generation by close-field amplification with the optical field tightly localized in a nonlinear material. By manipulating the symmetry of the grating, a precise tune over the near field within a designated wavelength range can be achieved. Specifically, we select a photonic crystal configuration supporting surface waves, employing TE polarization conditions and an asymmetry factor of −0.1 between the composite gratings. This configuration resonates at a fundamental wavelength of 783.5 nm, exhibiting an impressive Q-factor of 106. Notably, at an incident light intensity of 1.33 GW/cm2, we achieve a normalized electric field strength of up to 940 at the fundamental frequency and a second-harmonic conversion efficiency of up to 6 × 10−3, significantly amplifying the second-harmonic response. The proposed configuration in this investigation has the potential to be integrated into the field of nonlinear optics for sensing frequency conversion applications.

35. Motionless and fast measurement technique for obtaining the spectral diffraction efficiencies of a grating

Abstract

The measurement of the spectral diffraction efficiencies of a diffraction grating is essential for improving the manufacturing technique and for assessing the grating's function in practical applications. The drawback of the currently popular measurement technique is its slow speed due to the hundreds of repetitions of two kinds of time-consuming mechanical movements during the measuring process (i.e., the rotation of the mechanical arm to capture the light beam, and the mechanical variation of the output wavelength of the grating monochromator). This limitation greatly restricts the usage of this technique in dynamic measurement. In this manuscript, we present a motionless and fast measurement technique for obtaining the spectral diffraction efficiencies of a plane grating, effectively eliminating the aforementioned two kinds of mechanical movement. Herein, the proposed solution for removing the first kind of mechanical movement is tested, and the experimental result shows that the proposed method can be successfully used to measure the plane transmission grating's spectral diffraction efficiencies in the wavelength range of 550-750 nm. The method for eliminating the second kind of mechanical movement is not verified in this manuscript; however, we think that it is very straightforward and commercially available. We estimate that the spectral measurement can be achieved on a millisecond timescale by combining the two solutions. 36. Edge Perception Temporal Data Anomaly Detection Method Based on BiLSTM-Attention in Smart City Big Data Environment.

Abstract

The improvement of edge perception layer anomaly detection performance has an immeasurable driving effect on the development of smart cities. However, many existing anomaly detection methods often suffer from problems such as ignoring the correlation between multiple source temporal sequences and losing key features of a single temporal sequence. Therefore, a new anomaly detection method using BiLSTM and attention mechanism is proposed. First, a fusion algorithm TCDCD was formed by combining Data Correlation Detection (DCD) and Temporal Continuity Detection (TCD) to preprocess Edge Perception Data (EPD). Then, BiLSTM is employed to gather deep-level features of EPD, and the attention mechanism is utilized to enhance important features that contribute to anomaly detection. Ultimately, the SoftMax classifier is employed to categorize abnormal data. The experimental findings from the SWaT and WADI datasets demonstrate that the suggested method achieves better performance than other newer anomaly detection methods. Among them, the accuracy, precision, recall and F1 of the proposed method on the SWaT dataset were 96.62%, 94.32%, 96.02% and 94.30%, respectively.
